한국의 조우관과 중국의 할관 비교 연구 -조우의 상징적 의미와 변천과정을 중심으로- (A Study of comparing Korean Jowoo-Guan(조우관) and Chinese Hal-Guan(할관) - Focusing on transition and symbolism of the plume in the cap -)

  • The purpose of this study was to research Korean Jowoo-Guan and Chinese Hal-Guan and study transition and symbolism of the birds feather in the cap. The culture of ancient Korea was influenced by North Asia prior to the influence of the Chinese culture, One of the remarkable thing, as the cultural factor of North Asia is the birds worship thought. Korean Jowoo-Guan was derived from the birds worship thought. So in dealing with the plume of Korean Jowoo-Guan, we must recognize Worship to the bird and the symbolical meaning of the bird. The results of study was as follow. 1. Korean Jowoo-Guan was influenced worship to the sun, so it's wearing symbolized the governing class. As the Social development and governing class, the feathering cap was developed to a gold crown, and also the gold crown of Samguk times had been influenced style of North Asia culture. But afterwards the symbolical meaning of the bird was waning, only decorative meaning was remained. 2. Chinese Hal-Guan was warn in Joo-dynasty, but the symbolism of the plume in the cap was not similar to Korean Jowoo-Guan. Chinese Hal-Guan was symbolized bravery of superfluous soldier than Worship to the bird. But afterwards the symbolical meaning of bravery of superfluous soldier was waning, only decorative moaning was remained. 3. Though neighbor countries have mutually influenced and have similar cultural style, they have symbolism of themselves

  • The purpose of this study is to plan the social space for utilization in rural protestant church. Sindai church is the oldest and has rural characteristics in Chung-Ju. This model is used with the data which were obtained by the paster, believer, inhabitants. The results of this study are as follows ; The movable furnitures have merits of multi-use space in the rural protestant church. This could be possible the various functions for a flexible worship space.

  • The Christianity that spread to Egypt in 3rd century in A.D. is called Copt. Coptic Church built a lot of monasteries along the lower stream of Nile River, which produced thousands of text and paintings. Ethiopia is well known for its worship to Virgin Saint Mary and produced many paintings of Virgin Saint Mary in different costumes. The pictures usually came in foldable small books containing 3 pictures. The paintings usually featured Virgin Saint Mary and Jesus Christ dressed as royalty in crowns, saints and angels. There are saints on white horse, mirroring the oriental influence on Coptic painting. This research will look into the patterns and colours on the Coptic textiles, mainly tapestry.

  • The white color is the main characteristics of the traditional color of clothes. From the historical point of view, the Korean's pattern of wearing Baik-Eui can be found its origin from many people of North-East Asia in ancient time. The beginning of wearing Baik-Eui in Korea was at the age of tribes, and it was delivered to middle age, later on, to modern age near the end of Yi Dynasty. The other charactics of the traditional colors. are summarized as follows: 1. Prefered light color to dark color and light blue was noble and worthy. 2. The kinds of color were not various. 3. Color was native and pure not including grey or other colors. From the economical point of vie, the first thing is that Baik Eui was primitive in ti's color Though some say that wearing Baik-Eui is considered as a kind of worship of the Sun, yet we can also find that the every reason of it is that we had little dyes at that time. Especially the reddish dyeing materials were in short supply, so that had been imported mainly from Japan.

  • 예로부터 중국에서는 Red Color를 선호하여왔으며, 이는 원시적인 태양숭배에 대한 고귀함, 순결함, 정직함, 흥망성쇠, 성공, 행복, 길함(吉), 경사로움 등의 상징으로 대대로 전해 내려온 것이다. 본 논문에서는 중국역사로부터 현대에 이르기까지 중국 포스터디자인에 표현되어진 전달대상에게 중국이라는 이미지를 강하게 나타나고 중국문화라는 것을 인식하게 되는 Red Color에 대한 분석이다. 20세기 중반부터 중국포스터에 나타난 Red Color는 당시 객관적인 영향으로 정치적 의미를 지닌 컬러로 변모 하였지만 오늘날에 와서는 글로벌화의 영향으로 다시금 중국 5000년의 문화를 대표하는 컬러로 재 표현되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 날로 발전하는 중국포스터디자인에서 Red Color가 세계인의 의식에 반영됨으로써 전달대상에게 중국이라는 이미지를 전달하는 매개체로 자리 잡고 있다. 이러한 Red Color에 대한 분석을 통하여 새로운 포스터디자인의 의미를 새기고자 한다.

  • 許浚(Heo Jun), the best physician on his day, wrote 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam, 1613) based on his clinical experience as a court doctor and life-long study of over 500 medical books. Now most clinicians consult 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) for its practicality. And it is also considered as one of the most valuable medical books for basic medical studies. As 許浚(Heo Jun) mentioned on the 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) preface. we should practice flexibility on the interpretation of the medical classics instead of binding ourselves to the precedents. But worship of 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) may hinder the studying of new pathways. The treatment and its understandings of a disease should be based on objectivity of observation. Finding the common traits of the recipes in 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) is important for the study of 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam). Accordingly, group synthesis of symptoms and resultant classification of recipes are vital. In this research, symptoms listed in the head part(頭門) of External Shape vol. I(外形篇 卷1) of 東醫寶鑑(DongEuiBoGam) are synthesized into 3 different parts: head-wind syndrome(頭風證), dizziness(眩暈), headache(頭痛). Classification of prescriptions according to these 3 parts is also suggested.

한국 호상(胡床)의 시원(始原)과 조형에 관한 연구 (Study on Origin and Creative Design of Korean Folding Stool)

  • In this paper, the origin, development and features of a Korean folding stool are studied. A folding stool is a piece of collapsible seating furniture with its legs crossed in the form of the letter "X" and no back attached. In China, the folding stool was introduced from the West around the second century A.D. The folding stool of Korea was influenced by that of China. It is known from the records that the king used the folding stool from the Three Kingdom period. During the Koryo period, Chosun period and the modern period, the folding stool was used to show the authority of the king and nobleman. The folding stool was also used at outside places such as a hunting ground, a ceremonial walk, a battlefield, a garden etc. due to its portableness. Buddha worship policy of Koryo period supported the usage of the folding stool for shanding (禪定) by ascetics of Buddhist temple, or aristocrats. In a contemporary period, the folding stool is continuously produced and used as one kind of a folding chair due to its functionality, movability, storability and efficient space utilization. This research will serve as a momentum to investigate the origin and development of the East Asian seating furniture culture, and contribute to the further study and manufacturing of Korean seating furniture.

일부 지역사회 여성노인의 영적안녕, 우울, 주관적 건강상태에 관한 연구 (A Study on Spiritual Well-Being, Depression, and Health Status of Elderly Women in a Community)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between spiritual well-being, depression, and health status of elderly women in a community for providing the basic data necessary to improve the practice of nursing. Method: The participants were 295 elderly women, over 65 years old in Gwangju and Kyongbuk province, Korea. The data were collected between April 15th and June 15, 2003 using a structured questionnaire and were analyzed using SPSS Win 8.0. Result: Factors such as religious belief (p<.001), type of religion (p<.001), participation of worship (p<.001), significance of religion (p<.001), education(p=.001), spouse(p=.015), financial supporter(p=.001), and living satisfaction(p<.001) showed a statistically significant relation with spiritual well-being. There was a negative correlation between spiritual well-being and depression(r=-0.32, p<.001),and between health status and depression(r=-0.50, p<.001). However, there was a positive correlation between spiritual well-being and health status(r=0.32, p<.001). Conclusion: In order to promote spiritual well-being in elderly women, it is necessary to develop a nursing intervention program classified by the type of religions, followed by studies on the results of proven intervention programs.

가족가치관과 생활문화의 세대 비교: 가족의례를 중심으로 (Generational Comparisons of Family Values and Family Life Culture with Respect to Family Rituals)

  • This study had two goals: 1) to explore generational differences in traditional family rituals and 2) to investigate the association between family values and family rituals. Using survey data from 500 married men and women in their 20s to 60s, we classified three generations: 1) 1941-1950 birth cohort (aged 59-68), 2) 1951-1970 birth cohort (aged 39-58), and 3) 1971 and later cohort (aged 38 or less). These generations represented post-colonialism, modernization, and the information era in Korea, respectively. The results demonstrated that birth-related traditional family rituals had been maintained across the generations. Ancestor worship was less likely to be observed by later generations. Further, the way in which family values was associated with family rituals differed across the generations, indicating that traditional family values had different influences on everyday family life culture across generations.

중국 소수민족 좡족(壯族) 복식의 특성을 활용한 패션디자인 (Fashion design applying to the features of the Chinese Zhuang costume)

  • This study analyzes the characteristics of clothes worn by the Zhuang in order to produce new fashion designs, and to propose diverse new directions in fashion design. Research was conducted using a bibliographic survey on the cultural background, characteristics, and relevant techniques of the Zhuang costume and that of minority races in China. This study deploys four styles of design for women's wear. With the inspiration of the traditional Zhuang costume, black and blue were the colors mainly used for the Zhuang people and the material was mostly denim. Denim blends in well for the contemporary facilitation of the Zhuang costume, which is known for knitting technique, fur and hemp fabric as patchwork, and embroidery works. It is appropriate to express the joyful and happy mind of Zhuang people with extraordinary colors, exaggerated silhouettes, and various decorations. Images of nature, such as the sun, mountains, rivers, water, fish etc., expressed the nature worship of the Zhuang in contemporary design, representing the simple life and peaceful mind. This research develops a new fashion design and displays the possibility for diverse design development through new insight in contemporary fashion design.
