The major purpose of this study is to investigate the actual condition of elementary school, nursery school, social welfare facilities providing after-school child care programs and to suggest new after-school program which is focused on social and emotional development for children of dual-earner couples. The cases of current after-school programs in Seoul and Gyeonggi area were analyzed. The results are as follows. First, it was showed Hat elementary school' child care programs after school were designed for speciality-aptitude education during 3-4 hours. Second, nursery school's programs were showed to instruct children in homework and make up learning and were operating until late evening. But the nursery school fee is more expensive than the other facilities. Third, social welfare facilities have a variety of program than elementary school and nursery school. But the program still consist of homework, supplementary lessons, speciality education etc. These facilities have too much students, compared to the teachers

We consider the problem of testing cell probabilities in sparse multinomial data. Aerts et al. (2000) presented T=${{\Sigma}_{i=1}}^{k}{[{p_i}^{*}-E{(p_{i}}^{*})]^2$ as a test statistic with the local least square polynomial estimator ${{p}_{i}}^{*}$, and derived its asymptotic distribution. The local least square estimator may produce negative estimates for cell probabilities. The local maximum likelihood polynomial estimator ${{\hat{p}}_{i}}$, however, guarantees positive estimates for cell probabilities and has the same asymptotic performance as the local least square estimator (Baek and Park, 2003). When there are cell probabilities with relatively much different sizes, the same contribution of the difference between the estimator and the hypothetical probability at each cell in their test statistic would not be proper to measure the total goodness-of-fit. We consider a Pearson type of goodness-of-fit test statistic, $T_1={{\Sigma}_{i=1}}^{k}{[{p_i}^{*}-E{(p_{i}}^{*})]^2/p_{i}$ instead, and show it follows an asymptotic normal distribution. Also we investigate the asymptotic normality of $T_2={{\Sigma}_{i=1}}^{k}{[{p_i}^{*}-E{(p_{i}}^{*})]^2/p_{i}$ where the minimum expected cell frequency is very small.

Six types of hat stiffened composite panels were manufactured with different bonding methods and stiffener section shapes and compression testing of these panels were performed. The panels showed similar behaviors in bucking and postbuckling region before a skin-stiffener separation failure occurred. Although all the separation failures occurred at the same locations of stiffener flanges close by skin buckling crests, the separation loads, separation failure growth behaviors and final collapse loads were different with respect to bonding methods and stiffener section shapes. As the separation failure initiated early and propagated larger area, collapse loads and structural efficiency of the panels decreased.

Stink bugs do damage on various crops including upland crops and tree fruits. Especially, yellow-brown stink bug (Halyomorpha halys ($St{\aa}l$)) and brown-winged green (Plautia stali) are severely damaged on apple orchard. Using seven insecticides - dinotefuran WP, etofenprox WP, chlorpyrifos WP, cabaryl WP, chlothianidin SC, flonicamid WG, and bifenthrin WG - registered on apple, contact and residual toxicities were tested on both male and female of P. stali and H. halys that preferred apple fruit. Contact toxicity of dinotefuran WP was excellent on male P. stali 48 hours after treatment (HAT) with 96.7% and significant on male Halyomorpha halys 48 HAT with 74.5% but the others had low effect. Contact toxicity on these stink bugs were higher in male than female. All insecticides except flonicamid, residual effects were all effective on both male and female of P. stali, while chlorpyrifos and bifenthrin were showed higher residual toxicity on both male and female of H. halys in laboratory condition. Two insecticides, chlorpyrifos and bifenthrin, were selected for the field test. Bifenthrin have a high residual effect on P. stali until 5 days after treatment, but have a low residual toxicity on H. halys in the field test. Chlorpyrifos showed higher residual toxicity in the laboratory, however, showed low residual efficacy on two species stink bug onto the field.

A higher quality level is generally perceived by customers as improved performance by assigning a correspondingly higher satisfaction score. The third generation index $C_{pmk}$ is more powerful than two useful indices $C_p$ and $C_{pk}$ that have been widely used in six sigma industries to assess process performance. In actual manufacturing industries, process capability analysis often entails characterizing or assessing processes or products based on more than one engineering specification or quality characteristic. Since these characteristics are related, it is a risky undertaking to represent the variation of even a univariate characteristic by a single index. Therefore, the desirability of using vector-valued process capability index(PCI) arises quite naturally. In this paper, we consider more powerful vector-valued process capability index $C_{pmk}$ = ($C_{pmkx}$, $C_{pmky}$)$^t$ that consider the univariate process capability index $C_{pmk}$. First, we examine the process capability index $C_{pmk}$ and plug-in estimator $\hat{C}_{pmk}$. In addition, we derive its asymptotic distribution and variance-covariance matrix $V_{pmk}$ for the vector valued process capability index $C_{pmk}$. Under the assumption of bivariate normal distribution, we study asymptotic confidence regions of our vector-valued process capability index $C_{pmk}$ = ($C_{pmkx}$, $C_{pmky}$)$^t$.

In dieser vorliegenden Arbeit wird die eigentliche Bedeutung des Hauses in bezug auf M. Heidegger, G. Bachelard und O. F. Bollnow analysiert. Bei Heidegger ist das Wohnen ein Wesensmerkmal des Menschen und das Haus ein Raum des Wohnens als das Pflegen und Schonen. Insbesondre Bachelard hat die schuetzend Funktion des Hauses und das Haus als das Glueck des Wohnens behauptet. Fuer Bollnow bedeutet das Haus eine Mitte des menschlichen Lebens und der Welt. Heidegger behauptet, dass wir so in der eigentlichen Not des Wohnens, d.h. in der Heimatlosigkieit sind. Wir muessen nach die Bedeutung des Hauses nicht als einen wirtschaftlichen Wert sondern als den eigentlichen Wohnraum denken und das Wohnen lernen. Bachelard weist darauf hin, dass das Haus als ein gluekliche Raum ein wesentliches Trauen voraussetzt. Und er versteht das Haus mit dem dialektischen Zusammenhang zwischen dem Haus und der Welt. Bollnow versucht ueber dem Raum in anthropologische Hinsicht zu betrachten. Er behauptet, dass der Mensch seine wesentlichen Bedeutung durch das Wohnen hat. Durch die Vermenschlichung des Raumes muss der Mensch die Verantwortlichkeit ueber den Raum uebernehmen. In der heutigen Gesellschaft bemessen das Haus sich nur mit einem wirtschaftlichen Wert. Wir muessen das Haus lesen, und die eigentliche Bedeutung des Hauses.

Vegetables are often cultivated continuously year round in a vinyl house with heavy application of fertlilizers, which leads to accumulation of salts in the soil. A field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of watering on salt eluviation from the soil, and on the yield of tomatoes in the vinyl house. The results were summarized as the followings: The salt eluviation increased with the amount of water applied. The efficiency of the salt eluviation was greater for the silty clay loam soil than the sandy loam soil. With a given amount of water, the efficiency increased with frequency of watering. The yield of tomatoes was increased by watering. However, the yield was not necessarily correlated to the amount of salt leached. Increase in yield of tomatoes by watering was in order of the treatment, 100mm (50-50), 150mm (50-50-50 or 100-50), and 200mm (100-100) of water for both soils. Relationship between the yield of tomatoes and electrical conductibity of the soil (1 : 5 extract) was described by the following regression equation : $Y=1,739.0+437.5X-290.5X^2$ $(R=0.632^{**})$ for sandy loam soil, and $Y=1.542.2+454.1X-275.0X^2$ $(R=0.622^{**})$ for silty clay loam soil. The yield of tomatoes in salt accumulated soil was inversely correlated to extractable sodium and potassium, and to the ratio of extractable sodium to calcium (Na/Ca), while the yield was not correlated to extractable calcium and magnesium.

This study aims at the psychological elucidation of some conscious aspects of the personality of Yi Sun-sin (1545-1598), the Korean national hero, and the unconscious teleologic meanings of his dreams mentioned in Nanjung Ilgi (Diary in War Time) from the viewpoint of analytical psychology of C.G. Jung. Yi Sun-sin was a man of discipline, incorporated with the spirit of Confucian filial piety, hyo (hsiao) and royalty, chung. He was a stern man but with a warm heart. In his diary, Yi Sun-sin poured forth his feelings of suffering, despair, and extreme solicitude caused by slanders of his political opponents, his grief for the loss of mother and son, and his worries about the fate of his country, which the Japanese invaders now plundered. The moon night offered him the opportunity to touch with his inner soul, by reciting poems, playing Korean string, 'Keomungo', and flute. Further, he widened his scope by asking for the answers from the 'Heaven' through divination and dream. Yi Sun-sin's attitude toward his mother who raised the future hero and maternal principles were considered in concern with the Jungian term 'mother complex'. Won Gyun, Yi Sun-sin's rival admiral, who persistently accused Yi Sun-sin of 'slanders,' certainly represents the unconscious shadow image of Yi Sun-sin. The reciprocal 'shadow' projection has intervened in the conflicting relationship between Yi and Won. In concern to the argument for the suicidal death of Yi Sun-sin, the author found no evidence supporting such an argument, No trace of latent suicidal wish was found in his dreams. For Yi Sun-sin, the determination of the life and death depends on Heaven. 32 dreams from the diary and 3 from other historical references were reviewed and analyzed in the Jungian way. Symbols of anima, Self, and individuation process were found. His dream repeatedly suggests that Yi Sun-sin is an extraordinary man chosen by the divine man (神人). In the dream, Yi Sun-sin was a disciple of the divine man receiving instructions on various strategies, and he alone could see the great thing or events. The dream of a beautiful blue and red dragon, whom he was friendly touching, indicates Yi Sun-sin's eligibility for the kingship. Yi Sun-sin seemingly did not aware of this message of the unconscious. Perhaps he sensed something special but did not identify with 'the disciple of gods' and 'royal dragon' in his dream. His modest attitude toward the dream has prevented him from falling into ego inflation. There were warning signals in two dreams that suggested disorders in the dreamer's instinctive feminine drive. Spirits of the dead father and brothers appear in the dream, giving advice or mourning for the death of Sun-sin's mother. Though Yi Sun-sin was a genuine Confucian gentleman, a dream revealed his unconscious drive to destroy the Confucian authoritative 'Persona' by trampling down the cylindrical traditional Korean hat. To the dreams of synchronicity phenomena Yi Sun-sin immediately solves the problem in concrete reality. He understood dreams as valuable messages from the superior entity, for example, the Confucian Heaven (天) or Heaven's Decree (天命). Furthermore, the 'Heaven' presumably arranged for him the way to the national hero and imposed necessary trials upon him. Both his persecutors and advocates of him guided him in the way of a hero. Yi Sun-sin followed his destiny and completed the living myth of the hero. His mother, King Seon-jo, and prime minister Liu Seong Yong, all have contributed to embodying the myth of the hero. Yi Sun-sin died and became god, the divine healer of the nation.

We immunized BALB/c mice with purified Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus isolate HY1 (CGMMV-HY1). Through the selection of positive clones that were grown on the HAT medium, four sensitive monoclonal clones (CG99-01, CG99-02, CG99-03, and CG99-04) were selected from 500 Hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase positive hybridoma cells. Four sensitive clones of CGMMV-HYI were determined as IgM type of the subclass of mouse immunoglobulins Ig group. The titer of monoclonal antiserum against CGMMVHY1 was estimated 1:12,800 by the indirect ELISA. Although monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) from CG99-01 and from CG99-04 cross-reacted with Zucchini green mottle mosaic virus and Kyuri green mottle mosaic virus, MAb from the cell line CG99-03 was highly specific to CGMMV. No MAbs cross-reacted with Cucumber mosaic virus-Fny. Only CG99-04 reacted with Pepper mild mottle virus weakly and CG99-02 reacted with both CGMMV and KGMMV. CGMMV was detected from the rind of watermelon fruit by DAS-ELISA of CGMMV-HY1, but not from the flesh of watermelon. Average seed transmission rate of CGMMV in watermelon was $24\%$ from symptomatic watermelon collected from 5 regions of Gyeongnam province. CGMMV was detected by DAS-ELISA with specific MAb of CGMMVHY1 periodically from root stock, during the sequential process for nursery seedling in Haman. Necrotic spots on cotyledons of root stock seedling progressed to reveal the typical symptomatology on the primary leaves of scion upon grafting. Here, we have established MAb based ELISA system, which could accurately detect CGMMV from watermelon seeds, nursery seedlings, transplants and field samples from greenhouse or open out door field as well.

This study was conducted to estimate the decomposition capacity for organic matter by microbe of tidal flat sediments (Hajae, Dongjin and Mankyung). The decomposition rate constants (K') have been determined by Thomas slope method and compared with the values of each tidal flats. The decomposition rates of organic matter by microbe were initially very slow, but at the end of 12 hours, very sharply increased. The values of decomposition rate constant for Dongjin, Mankyung and Hajae tidal flat sediment were 1.364$day^{-1}$/, 1.080d$day^{-1}$ and 0.735$day^{-1}$, respectively. The decomposition rate constant of Dongjin tidal flat sediment which affected by livestock wastewater was higher than others. The decomposition quantity (mg/g/day) of organic matter by microbe of tidal flat sediments was 0.4mg/g/day for Dongjin, 0.36mg/g/day for Mankyung and 0.36mg/g/day for Hajae. The average of decomposition quantity was 0.37mg/g/day. To calculate purification capacity (kg/ha) of organic matter by microbe, we applied to two assumption ; 1) biological action by microbe is occur within 0.1cm under surface 2) specific gravity of sediment are 2.5g/$\textrm{cm}^2$. The purification capacity of organic matter by microbe of tidal flat sediment was calculated to 9.25kg/ha. The relationships between decomposition rate constant (K') and ignition loss (I. L), chemical oxygen demand by sediment (CO $D_{sed}$), total carbon(TC), silt and clay as index of organic matter were a high positive($R^2$=0.97~1.00).
