A Study on Design and Machining of Conjugate Cam on the Basis of Master Cam (마스트 캠에 의한 컨쥬게이트 캠의 설계 및 가공에 관한 연구)

  • Cam mechanism is a machine part frequently used in machinery. Specially, conjugate cam mechanism is very suitable for the high speed working and the heavy power translation. Then a conjugate cam mechanism need high precision for the relations between cam profiles and follower rollers. So, its design and manufacturing are very difficult. Thus, this study is a branch of exclusive CAM systems for design and NC machining of conjugate earn mechanism based on a master plate earn profile in order to exchange an old plate cam mechanism to a new conjugate earn mechanism. For the design of the other cam profile by using a master cam profile, some calculation processes were used by vector summation methods, from master cam profile data to the center data of master follower, from the center data of master follower to the center data of the other follower considered in link mechanism, and offsetting in the center direction of base circle of the other cam from the center data of the other follower. Finally, a sample conjugate cam was selected and machined m order to prove the contents of this study.

A Direct Expansion Algorithm for Transforming B-spline Curve into a Piecewise Polynomial Curve in a Power Form. (B-spline 곡선을 power 기저형태의 구간별 다항식으로 바꾸는 Direct Expansion 알고리듬)

  • Usual practice of the transformation of a B-spline curve into a set of piecewise polynomial curves in a power form is done by either a knot refinement followed by basis conversions or applying a Taylor expansion on the B-spline curve for each knot span. Presented in this paper is a new algorithm, called a direct expansion algorithm, for the problem. The algorithm first locates the coefficients of all the linear terms that make up the basis functions in a knot span, and then the algorithm directly obtains the power form representation of basis functions by expanding the summation of products of appropriate linear terms. Then, a polynomial segment of a knot span can be easily obtained by the summation of products of the basis functions within the knot span with corresponding control points. Repeating this operation for each knot span, all of the polynomials of the B-spline curve can be transformed into a power form. The algorithm has been applied to both static and dynamic curves. It turns out that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing algorithms for the conversion for both types of curves. Especially, the proposed algorithm shows significantly fast performance for the dynamic curves.

  • Nowadays much efforts for evaluating the productivity of port physical distribution system to meet the rapid change of the port and shipping circumstances has been made continuously all over the world. The major part of these efforts is the improvement of the productivity of cargo handling system. The cargo equipment system as infrastructure in the cargo handling system is organized well in some degrees, but the management system of manpower as upper structure is still remained in an insufficient degree. There is little study, so far, on a systematic research for the management of port labor gang, and even those were mainly depended on rule of thumb. The object of this study is to introduce the method of optimal allocation and assignment for the labor gang in single ship, which was suggested as a first stage in dealing with them generally. The problem of optimal allocation and assignment of the labor gang can be (I) formalized with multi-stage allocation and assignment of the labor gang can be. (II) dealt with two stages in form of hierarchic structure and moreover, (III) The optimal size of labor gang was obtained through dynamic programming from the point of minimizing the summation of labor gang in every stage, (IV) For the problem of optimal assignment, the optimal policy was determined at the point of minimizing the summation of movement between hatches.

  • Applying an appropriate received signal processing algorithm based on the channel characteristics is important to improve the receiver performance. Wireless channels in general exhibit various time-delay characteristics depending on their power delay profile. When the estimated channel power summation is used to determine the amount of time delay, a channel adaptive receiver structure can be implemented. In this paper, we derive a closed-form expression for the error probability of the channel classification when the estimated channel power summation is used to classify channel groups having different time delay characteristics, and present the performance gain utilizing multiple estimation results.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was conducted to find correct facilitation and clinical facilitation with proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF). Methods : This is a literature study with books, articles, seminar note and books for PNF international course. Results : Treatment approach was changed from managements of reflex to facilitation. The facilitation will make passive or active motion. But it can not match with normal functional activities, lack of the active movement, and facilitation of musculoskeletal can interaction with environment. Conclusions : Facilitation of the Functional activities in the main therapy goal. Any necessary information, such as visual and acoustical information must be integrated. Spatial summation and temporal summation integrated also. Integrated information for the facilitation will be increased activity of alpha-motorneurons, activity of interneurons, and muscle fiber structural changes from slow twitch fibers to fast twitch fibers. Suggested facilitate goal-oriented of movements at a functional level and reduce stiffness at structural level.

Life Cycles of Sweltsa Species (Plecoptera: Chloroperlidae) in a Small Mountain Stream (산간 소하천에 서식하는 녹색강도래의 생활환)

  • Life cycles of Sweltsa illiesi and S. lepnevae were determined from a headwater stream in Mt. Jumbong. Identification of nymphs was done by using DNA barcoding. Nymphs begin to have species specific color pattern on their head several months prior to adult emergence and differ in the form of the third antennal segment. Two species appear to have similar semivoltine life cycles in this stream, beginning to hatch from June and finishing adult emergence about 701 days later. The combined annual mean biomass in ash free dry mass (AFDM) was estimated as $96mg\;AFDM\;m^{-2}$. The combined annual secondary production were 373 mg and $297mg\;AFDM\;m^{-2}\;yr^{-1}$, calculated by using size frequency method and increment summation method respectively.

  • We have derived the linear complexity of a binary sequence generated by a Feedback with Carry Shift Regiater(FCSR) under the following condition: q is a power of a prime such that $q=r^e,\;(e{\geq}2)$ and r=2p+1, where both r and p are 2-prime. Also, a summation generator creates sequence from addition with carry of LFSR(Linear Feedback Shift Register) sequences. Similarly, it is possible to generate keystream by bitwise exclusive-oring on two FCSR sequences. In this paper, we described the cryptographic properties of a sequence generated by the FCSRs in view of the linear complexity.

  • Individual tree growth in a given stand is considerably affected by its neighbouring trees or surrounding density. This trend is appeared more clearly in the unthinned stand. Relationship between growth of individual trees and density around them was analyzed by the use of the angle-summation method(AS method), and then multiple regression equation including variables of center trees and measures of surrounding density by the AS method was given for estimating diameter increment for the last five years and the next few years of center trees.

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 국내-외 논문을 참조하여 배전계통에 적용된 조류계산 알고리즘의 적용사례를 조사하였다. 배전계통에 적용된 조류계산알고리즘은 Power Summation Method와 Current Summation Method가 있다. 배전계통은 선로의 구조가 거의 대부분 방사상으로 성되어 있기 때문에 Newton Raphson, Gauss Seidel, Fast Decoupled 방법을 그대로 사용하기는 문제가 있다. 그래서 DistFlow, Forward/Backward sweeping 법 등이 주로 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 미래의 계통은 현재와는 또 다른 Topology로 방사상과 루프가 혼합된 형태로 다르게 구성되어야 할 것이다. 이러한 상황에서 미래의 배전계통에 대하여 적용 가능한 알고리즘을 전망하고져 한다.

The results are derived with the help of generalization of Edwards's well known double integral due to Kim, et al. and generalized classical Watson's summation theorem obtained earlier by Lavoie, et al. More than one hundred ineteresting special cases have also been obtained.
