  • 이 논문에서는 저속 회전체의 불균일 질량측정을 위한 새로운 신호처리 방법을 제안하고 이를 이용한 자동차 타이어의 보정(balancing) 방법에 관해 설명한다. 타이어를 포함한 시스템의 동력학 모델을 기반으로 타이어의 불균일 질량에 의해 발생되는 진동과 이로 인해 로드셀에 작용하는 힘의 관계식을 유도하고, 센서의 측정계수(scale factor)를 포함한 매개변수를 실험 데이터로부터 계산한다. 또한, 기존 방법과 달리 불균일 질량의 크기와 위치를 정확하고 효율적으로 측정할 수 있는 방법을 소형 마이크로 프로세서를 이용하여 구현하고 실험을 통해 그 성능을 검증한다.

  • In this paper, developed a uninterruptible hotline tools and method for replacement of strain pole crossarm on overhead distribution line. For practical use of developed tools, following direct hot-line methods were proposed: 'Direct hot-lire method for replacement of pin pole crossarm', 'Direct hot-line method for alteration of crossarm' and 'Crossarm replacement method in uninterruptible cable displacement area'. These methods were proposed more simple and safe working on hotline job.

  • Acyl CoA:diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT) is a key enzyme involved in triacylglycerol synthesis. Too much accumulation of triacylglycerol in certain organs and tissues of the body causes high risk conditions of fatty liver. obesity and hypertriglyceridemia. leading to serious diseases of atherosclerosis. 굴의 Ostreid Herpesvirus 모니터링 (Monitering of Ostreid herpesvirus in Pacific oyster, Crassostrea gigas)

  • Monthly Screening of Pacific oyster, Crassostrea gigas, was surveyed by PCR for Ostreid herpesvirus(OsHV-1) infections from 2012 to 2013 in Korea. It was showed positive results in one hatchery in April and May 2012 and in oyster farming areas from August to November in 2013. The obtained sequences showed 99.3~99.5% homology with OsHV-1 ${\mu}var$(Accession Number: HQ842610) and 96.2~96.3% homology with OsHV isolated from Korea(Accession Number: AY509253).

  • Nowadays, various speech processing systems are being introduced in the fields of robotics. However, real-time processing and high performances are required to properly implement speech processing system for the autonomous robots. Achieving these goals requires advanced hardware techniques including intelligent software algorithms. For example, we need nonlinear amplifier boards which are able to adjust the compression radio (CR) via computer programming. And the necessity for noise reduction, double-buffering on EPLD (Erasable programmable logic device), simultaneous multi-channel AD conversion, distant sound localization will be explained in this paper. These ideas can be used to improve distant and omni-directional speech recognition. This speech processing system, based on embedded Linux system, is supposed to be mounted on the new home service robot, which is being developed at KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology)

  • We propose a real-time post processing of nonlinear amplified signal to improve voice recognition in remote talk. In the previous research, we have found the nonlinear amplification has unique advantage for both the voice activity detection and the sound localization in remote talk. However, the original signal becomes distorted due to its nonlinear amplification and, as a result, the rest of sequence such as speech recognition show less satisfactorily results. To remedy this problem, we implement a linearization algorithm to recover the voice signal's linear characteristics after the localization has been done.

  • This paper proposes an IPMC actuating system with a bio-mimetic function. EMG signals generated by an intended contraction of muscles in forearm are used for the actuation of the IPMC. To obtain higher actuation force of the IPMC, the single layered as thick as 800 [${\mu}$m] or multi-layered IPMC (Nafion) of which each layer can be as thick as 178 [${\mu}$m] are prepared. The experimental results using an implemented IPMC control system show a possibility and a usability of the bio-mimetic artificial muscle.

Human-Robot Interaction in Real Environments by Audio-Visual Integration

  • In this paper, we developed not only a reliable sound localization system including a VAD(Voice Activity Detection) component using three microphones but also a face tracking system using a vision camera. Moreover, we proposed a way to integrate three systems in the human-robot interaction to compensate errors in the localization of a speaker and to reject unnecessary speech or noise signals entering from undesired directions effectively. For the purpose of verifying our system's performances, we installed the proposed audio-visual system in a prototype robot, called IROBAA(Intelligent ROBot for Active Audition), and demonstrated how to integrate the audio-visual system.

  • 본 연구에서는 액체 로켓 엔진의 연소 시험을 통하여 O/F ratio가 연소 성능에 미치는 영향을 측정하였다. 사용된 분사기는 추력 200 N, 챔버 압 10 bar로 설계된 샤워헤드형 이며, 점화 방식은 촉매점화를 선택하였고. 과산화수소와 케로신을 추진제로 사용하였다. 본 실험을 통해서 로켓의 효율을 보다 증가시킬 수 있는 방법으로 O/F ratio가 연소 성능에 미치는 영향을 측정하여 O/F ratio의 운용조건을 알 수 있었다.
