실버의류브랜드 치수체계와 KS 규격간의 비교 분석 (An Analysis of the Sizing System of Silver Apparel Brands as Compared with the KS Standards)

  • The purpose of this study is to comparison on the sizing system in silver apparel brands with the KS standards. For the comparison research, 3 women's wear brands(suit style, knitted suit style, casual style) which were different apparel style on occasion in madame-zone of department stores were selected. The subject of investigation of sizing system of these brands were the label. The results of the sizing system of silver apparel brands as compared with the KS standards were as follows: 1) For the upper wear of suit style, it is larger than KS standards that size of height is $5{\sim}15$ cm. 2) For the lower wear of suit style, suitability of size of hip circumference is lower than KS standards. 3) For the casual style, it is larger than KS standards that size of height is $10{\sim}20$ cm.

시판 유아용 커버롤의 치수적합성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Appropriateness of the Current Sizing System of Infant Coveralls)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide information on how to improve the current sizing system of infant coveralls through analysis of the present system. In order to compile the information about dissatisfaction with the appropriateness of the fit of infant coveralls, a questionnaire was administered to mothers of 241 infants (aged under 36 months) living in Seoul, and analyzed using the SPSS WIN.10.0 program. Also, the manufacturers'basic body sizes were investigated. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The results of the comparison between the manufacturers'basic body sizes and the body measurement values obtained as the physical standard of the nation(1997) show that in terms of length and hip circumference, the manufacturers'body sizes were larger. On the other hand, in the waist circumference, the manufacturers'body sizes were smaller than the national average. 2. Research on the production sizing system of domestic and international brands, showed that the sizing interval of domestic brands were 6 months, whereas the international brands were 3 months f3r infants under 12 months. 3. Concerning fit, the areas causing most dissatisfaction were: the trunk length, sleeve length, inside leg length, and neck depth. The results showed that dissatisfaction with the suitability of the sizing of current infant coveralls according to the body part differed among the groups according to the month of age.

어린이 환자복의 치수 규격에 관한 연구 (A Study on Sizing System for Child Hospital Gown)

  • This study was performed to devise a sizing system for child hospital gown(uniform). The researchers surveyed the usage of child hospital gown and developed a sizing system for the child hospital gown. The suitability of revised size specification of gown was evaluated. 219 child inpatients participated in the survey and 13 child inpatients took part in the wear test. The results of the study were as following. 1) 71.7% of the subjects wore the uniform shirts. however numerous number of subjects did not wear uniform pants that the hospital provided(52.5%). The 68.2% of children who were shorter than 100cm did not wear uniform pants. 2) The most significant reason not wearing the hospital gown was unsuitable sizing system (42.1%). Inconvenience for donning and doffing comes next(26.2%). 3) The least satisfied garment size problems were the pants length and sleeve length. 4) The researchers developed a sizing system for the child hospital gown. The system provides 4 different sizes for children age from 2 months to 12 years. One-piece dress style was suggested for the smallest size(XS). The larger sizes(S. M. L) were designed in pajama style. 5) The sizing system developed in this study was moderately satisfied by the users.

모자업체의 유형별 치수체계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Sizing System of Head Gears)

  • The purpose of this research was to provide basic information for enhancing sizing suitability in terms of the need for appropriate fit in head gear. The method for this research was to survey about sizing system of head gear, basic measure part, repair service. The subject of this study were 15 head gear companies. The results of this research were as follows : 1. In the sex target analysis according to company type, most of fashion brand companies were producing woman's head gear. In case of the company to produce man's head gear, sizes appeared variously. On the other hand, the sports brand companies were producing unisex head gear and safety helmet companies were producing man's one. 2. The number of size of head gear manufacturing companies were under 3 sizing system. This means that the sizing system of current head gear manufacturing company isn't various. 3. While the measuring part using currently in the company was head girth, one to be considered necessary for manufacturing of head gear except the head girth was head height.

중년 여성이 선호하는 브랜드 레깅스 치수체계 분석 (Analysis of the Sizing System of Branded Leggings Preferred by Middle-aged Women)

  • This is a basic study to recommend a legging sizing system suitable for middle-aged women. This study aims to explore and analyze the sizing system of branded leggings for middle-aged women. Therefore, 40 pairs of leggings from 20 brands preferred by middle-aged women were first selected to compare their sizing systems. Thus, it was found that the size distribution of legging brands varied significantly, and the number of sizes or the size deviation also varied depending on the brands or products. Second, the adult female age groups were classified as 18-24 years, 25-34 years, 35-44 years, and 45-59 years. Additionally, the distribution of the waist and hip circumferences by age group was compared with the size specifications of the leggings. Leggings with large differences between size specifications and body size distribution were identified in each age group. In the case of women aged 45 to 59, the size distribution suitability of branded leggings was found to be the lowest among the four age groups. Furthermore, it was also found that it is important to reflect the body size distribution, especially the waist circumference, to establish a legging sizing system suitable for women aged 45 to 59 years.

한국 여성복 브랜드의 치수 체계 실태에 관한 연구 (A Study on Actual Condition of Sizing System of Women′s RTW Apparel Brands in Korea)

  • The manufacturer first identifies a target market before developing a sizing chart. A target market is specific for age or figure type. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the suitability of sizing system of women's apparel brand in Korea. For this purpose, the characteristics of the manufacture's sizing chart for jacket and skirt/pants were analyzed. For each brand, the target age of the brand and the age of consumers who preferred that bland were compared. The size charts collected from 27 women's apparel brands were analyzed and compared with Korean industrial standard sifting chart. The results of this study reviled that the body proportion in many manufacturer's sizing chart does not correspond to the body types in Korean industrial standard sizing chart. This trend was apparent for the short figure sizes made for women 155cm in height. There is a difference between the target age in brand concept and the age of consumer preferring to purchase that brand apparel. The age of fitting models usually does not correspond the customer's age. It was concluded that the age of target customer does not go well with the age of brand concept nor the fitting model age caused fit problem of the women's ready-made clothes.

의료용 압박스타킹의 사이즈 체계에 관한 연구 -한국 시장에서의 수입 의료용 압박스타킹을 중심으로- (Sizing System for Medical Compression Stockings -Focus on Imported Medical Compression Stockings in the Korean Market-)

  • This study provides size information on current imported medical compression stockings in Korea. A total 20 brands from 6 countries imported and sold in the Korean on-off line markets were selected for this study and the sizing system of medical compression stockings was researched. The results of this study were as follows: there were size differences among different USA brands according to product type or compression class of medical compression stockings. To establish the sizing system for medical stockings of the German brands, the basic body measurements standard was set as cA, cY, cB, cB, cC, cD, cE, cF, cG, cH, cT, lD, lG, and lT. Italian brands developed the sizing system for medical compression stockings by compression class. In the Swiss brands, size types were sub-divided as 'Normal', 'Plus', 'Short', and 'Long'. The sizing 1 were confined within very narrow limits. There were differences of the basic body measurements between Taiwan brands. The results of the comparison of the size range of the imported brands with Size Korea (KATS, 2010) by two-way size distribution shows that the sizing systems of the imported brands were unsuitable for Koreans. To enhance the suitability of the sizing system for medical compression stockings, a new sizing system for Korean adult males and females needs to be established.

아동화의 치수 적합성 향상을 위한 학령기 남아의 발 관련 치수 정보 분석 (Analysis of Elementary School Boy's Feet Measurements for Improvements in the Suitability of Children's Shoes)

  • For children with most outdoor activities, wearing appropriate shoes is important to their growth and health. The purpose of this study is to identify characteristics regarding children's feet and to provide beneficial information for an appropriate sizing system of children's shoes. The data of the study were 3D measurements of feet from school boys aged 7-12 of the 6th Anthropometry of Size Korea. This study revealed that the two factors related to the size and height of the feet represent the characteristics of children's feet, unlike adults. As a result of applying the data of this study to the current KS sizing system of the children's shoes, only the foot lengths were within the sizing system. Consequently, the current sizing system requires revisions and supplements to the foot-width and foot-circumference sections.

남성정장 상.하의 그레이딩에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pattern Grading for Men's Formal Wear)

  • The purpose of this study was to propose a computer-based grading method for men's formal wear according to the sizing systems based on the size and dimension whereby manufactured men's formal wear can be classified. The following procedures were as follows : 1) We surveyed the sizing systems and the computer-grading methods that have been used and presently practiced by the domestic garment industry of the ready-made men's wear. 2) Using the survey data of the domestic men's ready-made clothing industry and that of the National Anthropometric Survey of Korea in 1997, we proposed the new sizing and grading systems of men's formal wear within the framework of the Korean Garment Industry's directions and the data of the domestic men's ready-made clothing industry. 3) The suitability of the new grading systems to the domestic garment industry were put to a wearing teat. The findings were as follows : 1) Survey of the domestic ready-made garment industry showed that each company classified its own manufactured goods according to its own sizing and grading systems. 2) The superiority of the grading system was been demonstrated by a high approval rate of the subjects who participated in the testing.

시판 드레스셔츠의 치수 구분 적합성 (The Suitability of the Size Classification of Dress Shirts on the Market)

  • This study provides basic data that are helpful to prepare a sizing system for dress shirts that improves the wearer's size fitness. The 16 different parts of the dress shirts were measured for 24 pieces of dress shirts with three kinds of size (95, 100 and 105) among the eight different brands on the market. The measurement sizes of the dress shirts analyzed the accuracy of the size information, size classification by size designation, and differences of size by brand. The results of the study were: 1. The size information of dress shirts differed from customer demand. 2. The size increments between size designations differed from each other even though measurement sizes of the dress shirts increased as the size designation increase. 3. Measurement sizes of the dress shirts were different between brands even for dress shirts of the same size designation. It is necessary that manufacturers secure an accurate and standardized sizing system and provide accurate information for the measurement sizes of dress shirts on an online shopping mall.
