부항 시술에 의해 형성된 수포에 관한 고찰 (The Study of Blister Caused by Cupping Therapy)

  • Objectives : The aims of this study were to evaluate a blister caused by cupping. Methods : We searched relevant case reports, survey, and review articles using databases of online bibliography. Results : 1. The fluid in the blister caused by cupping therapy is normal substance by laboratory analysis. The fluid has no signs of infection in the culture, Gram stain, or tissue biopsy 2. In histological finding, the blister caused by cupping therapy is made by dermo-epidermal seperation at subcellular level. Suction blistering was neither inflammatory nor autolysis activation of lysosomal hydrolases. 3. Blistering times directly, related to suction pressure. Suction blister formation time is accelerated in older subjects compared with younger individuals and higher temperature was more susceptable to the blister compared with lower temperature. The flexor aspect of forearm is a easy site for suction blister formation compared with leg and abdominal site. 4. Blister caused by cupping therapy is treated by regular and judicious changes of sterile dressing over several weeks. The vesicles healed well and left no visible scar. Conclusions : Blister caused by cupping therapy is artificially controlled by doctor's therapeutic purpose. Blister is not histologically injurious to health and the blister is a natural concomitant after cupping therapy.

가시용 직분식 디젤기관의 분무와 화염에 관한 연구 (A study on the spray and flame by optically accessible D.I. diesel engine : analysis by Schlieren method and diffused background illumination method)

  • To analyze the spray and flame in D.I. diesel engine, the visualizing methods by schlieren photograph and diffused background illumination photograph with high speed camera are applied to optically accessible D.I.diesel engine. Wcaporating spray, spray droplets and brightness flame are taken with high speed camera by visuallizing method in accordance with various suction air temperature and injection time. The spray and flame image on the film was analyzed by image analyzer. The optically accessible D.I. diesel engine had the similar pressure characteristic to the real D.I. diesel engine. Experimental results showed that shadow areas of the evaporating spray were extended at higher suction air temperature, spray droplets had a max. Penetration length and their penetrating patterns were dependent on the surrounding gas temperature, and flame size after ignition was largely governed by the evaporated fuel quantity at ignition point and by the surrounding gas condition due to piston motion.

Hall Effect on Unsteady Hartmann Flow with Heat Transfer Under Exponential Decaying Pressure Gradient

  • The unsteady Hartmann flow of an electrically conducting, viscous, incompressible fluid bounded by two parallel non-conducting porous plates is studied with heat transfer taking the Hall effect into consideration. An external uniform magnetic field and a uniform suction and injection are applied perpendicular to the plates while the fluid motion is subjected to an exponential decaying pressure gradient. The two plates are kept at different but constant temperatures while the Joule and viscous dissipations are included in the energy equation. The effect of the ion slip and the uniform suction and injection on both the velocity and temperature distributions is examined.

  • 압축 벤토나이트는 고준위폐기물을 처분하기 위한 공학적방벽 시스템에서 중요한 구성요소 중 하나인 완충재의 후보물질로 가장 적합한 것으로 고려되고 있다. 완충재는 처분공 내 사용후핵연료가 담긴 처분용기와 근계 암반 사이에 채워지는 방벽재로서 지하수 유입으로부터 처분용기를 보호하고, 방사성 핵종 유출을 저지한다. 처분 초기에는 처분용기로부터 발생하는 고온의 열량으로 인해 완충재의 포화도는 감소하지만, 그 후 주변 암반으로부터 유입되는 지하수로 인해 완충재의 포화도는 증가한다. 이렇듯 완충재는 처분 운영 조건에 따라 불포화에서 포화 상태로 도달하게 되기에 완충재의 불포화-포화 거동 특성은 공학적방벽의 전체 안전성을 좌우할 수 있는 중요한 입력자료이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 압축 벤토나이트 완충재에 대한 수분보유특성을 규명하고자 하였다. 처분 초기 온도 증가에 따라 완충재의 포화도가 감소하는 상황을 고려하여 상온에서부터 125도까지 압축 벤토나이트의 온도 증가에 따른 체적 함수비와 수분흡입력을 측정하였다. 또한 이를 상온에서 동일한 함수비에서의 수분보유능과 비교하였으며 상온에서의 수분흡입력은 1~15% 정도 크게 측정되었다.

자동차용 양토출 단흡입 워터펌프의 성능 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Prediction of Automotive Water Pump with Double Discharge Single Suction)

  • A Numerical analysis has been used to predict the performance in the automotive water pump with double discharge single suction. The influence of parameters such as coolant flow rate, rotational speed, ratio of blade height and clearance has been investigated. Also, the prediction of hydraulic performances such as static pressure rise, shaft power, hydraulic power and pump efficiency is carried out on the water pump including an impeller and a volute casing. A full size water pump test bench has been developed to validate the CFD flow model. Discharge flow rate, suction pressure, discharge pressure, rotational speed and torque measurements are provided. Coolant temperature is 8$0^{\circ}C$, water tank pressure is 1 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and flow rates vary.

중량함수율 및 상대함수율 비교에 따른 정량적인 함수율 산정에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Research on the Comparison of Gravity Moisture Content and Relative Moisture Content in Calculating the Quantitative Percentage of Moisture Content)

  • This study aims to compare relative moisture content and gravity moisture content in calculating the rational percentage of moisture content. High-strength concrete, which is made of blast-furnace slag and silica fume, was used as the compound for this study, and the specimens were made into a saturated condition through the vacuum suction. According to the results of this study, all specimens were completely dried when they were under the temperature of 105℃ for more than 31 days. They were fully saturated after 72 hours through vacuum suction. In addition, relative moisture content responded more sensitively to moisture content than gravity moisture content did, so it can be concluded that relative moisture content is better in calculating the rational percentage of moisture content.

임베디드 서모커플 센서 제조 및 미끄럼 마찰 계면온도 측정에 관한 실험적 연구 (Fabrication of Embedded Thermocouple Sensor and Experimental Study on Measurement of Interface Temperature for Dry Friction)

  • This study investigated the interface temperatures for the sliding friction of three types of pins fabricated with thermocouple wires by the suction casting method. Optical microscopy was used to examine the surrounding material state at the bonding interface with the thermocouple wires. Friction tests were performed under dry sliding conditions against stainless steel 304 at nominal stresses of 1.42-4.25 MPa and sliding speeds of 0.5-1.25 m/s. Tribological data were collected using a custom-made pin-on-disk apparatus that measured the interface temperature and corresponding friction coefficient. Static tests were performed to demonstrate the functionality and reliability of the thermocouple wires-combined temperature sensor (TCTS). Each TCTS showed good linearity and sensitivity and very similar response times for the thermocouple and critical temperature during sliding friction.

The Performance Evaluation of R407C and R410B in a Residential Window Air-Conditioner

  • This study presents test results of a residential window air-conditioner using R22 and two potential alternative refrigerants, R407C and R410B. A series of performance tests has been carried out for the basic and liquid-suction heat exchange cycles in a psychometric calorimeter test facility. For R407C, the same rotary compressor was used as in the R22 system. However, compressor for the R410B system was modified to provide the similar cooling capacity. The evaporator circuit was changed to get a counter-cross flow heat exchanger to take advantage of zeotropic mixture's temperature glide, and liquid-suction heat exchange cycle was also considered to improve the system performance. Test results were compared with those for the basic R22 system. The modified system with a liquid-suction heat exchanger increased cooling capacity and energy efficiency by up to 5%.

자동차용 에어컨 시스템의 성능해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Analysis of Automotive Air Conditioning System)

  • Performance analysis of the automotive air-conditioning system is conducted by using computer simulation, and performance tests are carried out by using the climate wind tunnel in order to verify simulation. Evaporator and condenser were modeled by using empirical correlation which was obtained from calorimeter data, and compressor was modeled by using map based method. The steady state thermodynamic conditions of refrigerant satisfying mass and energy balance were assumed in the simulation program for automotive airconditioning system. The system performance was analyzed by finite difference method until differential air enthalpy between evaporator inlet and outlet becomes converged. Simulation results are in good agreement with experimental results at most operating conditions. Variation of discharge temperature and pressure of compressor, outlet temperature of evaporator, cooling capacity, and COP were investigated in term of air volume flow rate for evaporator, compressor capacity, compressor speed, superheat of thermostatic expansion valve, and diameter of suction line.
