Objective: In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a well-known method for the treatment of infertility. The present study aimed to compare the differences between infertile women with successful and unsuccessful IVF outcomes regarding the expression of T helper (Th) cell transcription factors and a group of related cytokines before and after exposure to their husbands' seminal plasma. Methods: This study was performed on 19 couples with unexplained infertility undergoing IVF treatment. Among the studied group, nine and 10 couples had successful and unsuccessful IVF outcomes, respectively. This study was carried out using real-time polymerase chain reaction. Results: Before seminal plasma exposure, the expression levels of T-bet (p< 0.007), $interferon-{\gamma}$ (p= 0.013), and tumor necrosis factor $(TNF)-{\alpha}$ (p= 0.017) were higher in the infertile women with IVF failure than in those with successful IVF outcomes, while those of GATA3 (p< 0.001), Foxp3 (p= 0.001), and interleukin (IL)-35 (p< 0.003) were lower. After seminal exposure, the expression of T-bet (p= 0.02), Rorc (p< 0.001), $TNF-{\alpha}$ (p= 0.001), Foxp3 (p= 0.02), and $interferon-{\gamma}$ (p= 0.001) increased in the unsuccessful IVF group, while the expression of Foxp3 (p= 0.02), Rorc (p< 0.001), IL-23 (p= 0.04), IL-17 (p= 0.02), IL-6 (p< 0.001), transforming growth $factor-{\beta}$ (p= 0.01), and IL-35 (p< 0.001) increased in the successful IVF group. Conclusion: In summary, IVF failure was associated with imbalanced Th1/Th2/Th17/Treg responses. Moreover, our results show that seminal plasma might have a positive effect on IVF outcomes via changes in peripheral blood T cell subsets.

This paper also intends to provide useful guidelines for the establishment and management of EDI systems. This paper, first, develops a conceptual framework based on pervious research to identify factors which affect successful implementation of EDI system. Second, it integrates the constructs from previous research studies into a single survey instrument. Third, it presents the findings regarding the degree to which each factor influences the successful implementation of EDI system. In order to investigate how firms appoint and manage successful CIOs, this study reviews previous literatures and finds major factors affecting the performance of CIOs, Eight factors are found and classified into two groups based on time horizon characteristics: ex ante factors before appointment and ex post factors after appointment. These eight factors are also re-classified into three groups based on the degree of interaction between CIOs and CEOs: CIO factors, CEO factors, and interaction factors between CIOs and CEOs. In order to investigate how these sub-groups affect the performance of CIOs, we have conducted case studies on 6 firms that are considered to have successful CIOs. The results indicate that ex ante factors, for instance, a factor whether the CIO is appointed from inside or outside of the firm, need to be carefully considered for the successful ex post management of CIO positions. This study derives several managerial guidelines and finally proposes a future research model for empirical studies.
Purpose: This study was done to examine the relationship of successful aging, depression, and family function in rural elders. Method: A descriptive correlation study design was used and data of the study were collected from 272 people who were overn 65 years of age and lived in a rural community. Result: The mean score for successful aging was $2.28{\pm}0.46$ points of a maximum 3 points. The elders showed a moderate degree of family function ($6.98{\pm}2.83$ points out of 10 points). The mean score for depression was $6.13{\pm}3.75$ points out of 15 points. There was a statistically significant correlation between successful aging and both depression (r=-.659, p<.001) and family function (r=.621, p<.001). Stepwise regression analysis was done to verify factors influencing successful aging. Depression was the dominant factor accounting for 43.2% of the total variance, followed by family function and age in that order. Inclusion of all of the study values resulted in an explanation power of 61.7%. Conclusion: The study results suggest that the provision of individual socio-psychological, and economic measures is important to promote successful aging in rural areas which are different in terms of socio-cultural as well as regional factors compared to urban areas.
Recently, ERP system is used as a important tool of management innovation for enterprise's survival and development. It is very important to recognize how much influence to organizational performance through ERP system implementation. The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of environmental, organizational, information systems characteristics on successful implementation of ERP systems in Korean SMEs(Small and Medium Enterprises). From previous researches on ERP adoption and implementation, 7 independent variables (competitiveness, government support, top management support, process innovation, project management, IS maturity, and ERP customizing), and 1 dependent variables (successful implementation of ERP systems) are identified. 3 questionnaires were removed from the study because of missing or inappropriate responses, and final samples are 91 SMEs. The results of hypothesis testing show that determinants of successful implementation of ERP systems are top management support and IS maturity. Five variables such as competitiveness, government support, process innovation, project management, and ERP customizing do not significantly influence to successful implementation of ERP systems. The contribution of this study is that it provides an empirical evidence of the causal relationship between ERP adoption factor and ERP success. This study showed that top management support and IS maturity are essential to accomplish successful ERP implementation for SMEs.
The objective of this study was to investigate factors that could bring about successful implementation of extensive reading using online/offline blended English library system called 'Reading Gate' in primary and secondary schools. Although there are a great number of studies on effects of various extensive reading on linguistic, cognitive, and affective development, few studies have investigated how extensive reading programs can be implemented at large scale, e.g., whole school level. After analyzing students' reading levels in 200 schools using the same online extensive reading program called Reading Gate, results showed that while some schools were successful, others were not. Five primary and 13 middle schools were selected as successful schools. Data on implementation of the program of schools was gathered. Eighteen teachers and seven headteachers took part in the interview. After analyzing these data on the implementation of the extensive reading program, results revealed that the following five factors for successful implementation of blended extensive reading programs: online level-up system, teacher intervention, integration with the curriculum, school-level support, and parents' awareness of literacy. This suggests that each factor might have contributed to the successful implementation of the extensive reading program at large scale. Implications and applications of this finding are discussed in this study.
This study examined attitudes toward factors underpinning a successful marriage and their associations with marital satisfaction among married men and women in midlife. The sample comprised 201 married men and women aged between 40 and 59 living in Seoul, South Korea, and the data were collected by a self-report survey in 2019. Attitudes toward factors underpinning a successful marriage were measured using 12 items from the European Values Study Master Questionnaire 2008 and marital satisfaction was measured using three items from the Kansas Marital Satisfaction Scale. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were performed in order to identify the factors deemed important for a successful marriage, as well as a t-test to explore gendered domains. Additionally, regression analysis was conducted to examine the association between attitudes toward factors underpinning a successful marriage and marital satisfaction. The results revealed two factors that were deemed important for a successful marriage: 'marital exchange based on conditions' and 'qualitative interaction based on sharing.' Women were more likely to believe that both factors were important for a successful marriage than men. The regression analysis revealed that 'qualitative interaction based on sharing' had a positive association with marital satisfaction, while 'marital exchange based on conditions' had a negative association with marital satisfaction, and also that these associations did not differ by gender. The findings imply that a successful marriage can be achieved when married partners make efforts to maintain their relationships through positive interactions and share intimacy in midlife.

The purpose of this study is to suggest successful strategies through which the effect of the information system of a hospital can be forecasted at the nursing department. In order to set up successful strategies, in the first place, both the methods of CSF(Critical Success Factor: Rockart, 1979) and ULD(User-Led Development) method and the method suggested by the Korea Productivity Center were applied. In order to measure the improvement of nursing productivity, the Dissonance theory was used. The data were collected from 100 employees serving at the clinic department of Kwangju Patriots' and Veterans' Hospital from July 4 to July 25, 1998 with reference to all 222 cases, for sampling work; then the part of the efficiency of the treatment or management of hospital business - simplification of the process of the treatment of hospital business and reduction of the time of the treatment of hospital business were measured; and in order to forecast organizational behavior, 100 cases of organization behavior were analysed, based on the well structured, questionnaires. In order to forecast the user's organizational behavior, a tool(Ronald. 1988; Stephen, 1982: Senn, 1992: Olsen, 1980: Anderson, 1988: Kim. 1992: Cho. 1994) to measure the extent or degree of the user's recognition or understanding whose reliability coefficient is 0.63 was used: and regarding the items expected by the users concerning the convenience of the system, a tool created by Bernadett, Szajna and Richard W. Scamell(1993) whose reliability coefficient is 0.88 was used. And finally, those data were analysed, utilizing the statistical package of SPSS/PC 6.0. successful strategies are suggested as follows: 1. In order that the Kwangju Patriots' and Veterans' Hospital's purpose can be successful through its strategic, information system, the quality of its services should be elevated. and for elevating the quality of medical services, elevation of the quality of medical expertism or specialty is an important factor in determining such quality. 2. In order to make the hospital information system to be successful, the hospital's top manager should participate in the effort making it successful with helping hands of the members or personnel of the hospital. 3. In order to make users participate in the hospital information system, it is prerequisite that all nurses in a hospital should voluntarily participate in the system 4. In order to reduce the expense, the time in coping with business per duty should be reduced by 10${\sim}$33.23%. The time of the direct nursing care which added value is relatively high should be elongated in order to elevate the quality of hospital services. 5. Since the introduction and spread of the hospital information system are influenced by the duration in the experience of computer use, the user of the hospital information system should have a plan to receive well-planned computer education. Finally it is suggested that the forecast of long-term productivity through a review of the user's expectation of the system should be inspected and tested through continuous studies of its effectiveness.
As the knowledge is recognized as a core factor of organization's competitiveness and creation of value added, the importance of knowledge management is also increased. To achieve the successful knowledge management, it is important to establish strategy that consider essential purpose of knowledge management such as creating and sharing of knowledge resource, improving performance, and continuing organizational innovation within the organization and influence factor inside and outside of organization. Until now, however, the research for knowledge management strategy was mostly limited to the statistical analysis based on the unilinear causality model, and systematic access and analysis that consider interaction and feedback structure between factors. In this paper, we developed the novel decision-making framework for successful strategy establishment by applying the analytic network process(ANP). Specifically. we derive clusters and components to decide the interaction and feedback structure between the elements of knowledge management by literature studies. And we produced relative importance and preference of clusters, components and alternatives dealing with feedback structure through the survey of experts in the field or related one of knowledge management. In result of this study, we expect that it will help the knowledge officer to decide establishing knowledge management strategy.
