Recently, 4 cases underwent successful surgical correction of tetralogy of Fallot combined with pulmonary atresia in 2 cases, with abnormal coronary artery in another 2 cases. The operation consisted of a patch repair to the ventricular septal defect. The pulmonary atresia and stenosis were corrected with the method of external connection, from the right ventricle to the pulmonary artery using the valved conduits.

This study evaluated advanced water treatment (AWT) system in Korea. There are currently 16 plants operating with AWT. However, no attempt has been made to evaluate AWT system. This study selected one water treatment plant with AWT (pre-ozonation ＋ BAC). Using the operation data from 1995 to 2001 and pilot study results, the post-evaluation of the AWT system has been conducted. The study found that AWT improved water qualities of organic, ammonia, and turbidity, as expected. However, the extent of the improvement was generally short of the pilot study expectations. Pre-ozonation failed to decrease coagulant consumption. The dosage increased rather than decreased. AWT was, however, successful to decrease chlorine consumption. The chlorine reduction was related to the change in raw water characteristics and AWT introduction. Pre-ozonation failed to decrease coagulant consumption. The dosage increased rather than decreased. AWT increased the operation cost. Maintenance, raw water, and power cost increased, while labor and chemical cost decreased. Manpower reduction resulting form automation caused the decrease of labor cost. The reduction of chlorine consumption caused the decrease of chemical cost.

A 64 year-old male patient with annulo-annulo-aortic ectasia[AAE] due to cystic medial necrosis was successfully treated with Cabrol operation with Cabrol trick. The technique consist of implantation of a composite valve graft within the aneurysmal sac with reattachment of the coronary ostia using a separate, small tube graft and creation of a communication between the closed perigraft space and right atrium for bleeding control. The patient had a postoperative gastrointestinal bleeding but successful recovery was achieved eventually.

Membrane-based gas separation systems are now widely accepted and employed as unit operation in industrial gas, chemical, and allied industries. Following their successful commercialization in the late seventies to recover hydrogen from ammonia purge gas streams, membrane-based systems have gained acceptance in a wide variety of applications. Numerous systems are in operation today to: recover hydrogen from other purge gas and hydrocarbon streams; adjust the $H_{2}/CO$ ratio in syngas; remove $CO_{2}$ from natural gas; recover helium; dry gas streams; and separate air. Lower cost, ease of operation, operational flexibility and portability are a few of the reasons membrane-based systems are chosen over absorption and cryogenic-based separations in certain applications.

본 연구의 목적은 성공적으로 운영되고 있는 소상공인들의 사례를 조사하여, 이들의 성공요인을 탐색해보는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내 및 해외의 사례를 탐색해보았다. 조사 결과 소상공인의 성공요인은 첫째, 차별화된 제품이다. 둘째, 가격 경쟁력이다. 셋째, 유연한 운영이다. 넷째, 기업가 정신이다. 소상공인 일수록 대기업이 할 수 있는 것과 하지 못하는 것을 파악하여 하지 못하는 것을 자신이 하고, 이를 특화시키는 전략이 필요하다. 또한 경쟁자가 들어설 경우 상대방을 무조건 배척하기보다는 경쟁자의 경영 전략을 분석하고 벤치마킹하여 자신의 사업에 적합한 경영 기법을 개발하는 노력이 필요하다.

The knowledge based economy requires more and more people to learn new knowledge and skills in a timely and effective manner. These needs and new technology such as computer and Internet are fueling a transition in e-learning. We did the case study of K company, which is leading the business to business e-learning in Korea. We investigated prior studies about e-learning and deduced the major variables composed of learner, tutor, infrastructure, contents, and practice. And then we suggested the successful way of doing the operation for the company's e-learning. We hope that this research will help the companies that have introduced or consider the adoption of e-learning.

This study finds out and suggests success factors for the application of RIMS project through the case study of Seoul Metro and literature survey. The successful application of RIMS needs expert knowledge and concept of BOM, standardization of maintenance planning, check lists of heavy maintenance inspection, organization structure of rolling stock maintenance offices, material management system of warehousing and the process of parts repairing between offices, connection of material ordering system, problem solving of circular spare parts administration among inspection, maintenance, and material organizational units, systemic serial number management of parts with RFID, daily closing diary connected with work process chart, and sufficient period of RIMS's test run. RIMS contributes to real time management of rolling stock maintenance, transparency of management, reliability of train operation, customer satisfaction, and management innovation.

Within the group of congenital cardiac anomalies manifesting dextrocardia and double-outlet right ventricle, ventricular non-inversion [S.D.L] is extremely rare. Recently, a 5 year-old boy underwent a successful surgical correction of dextrocardia associated with double-outlet right ventricle, ventricular non-inversion [S.D], ventricular septal defect, pulmonary stenosis, and patent foramen ovale. The operation consisted of construction of an internal baffle connecting the left ventricle to the aorta through the large ventricular septal defect [subaortic]. The pulmonary stenosis was managed by infundibulectomy and patch enlargement of the right ventricular wall. The patient`s postoperative recovery has been uneventful, and 2 months after the operation, he is doing well.

Malignant transformation of ovarian mature cystic teratomas is rare, and papillary thyroid cancer occurs in 0.1%-0.3% of ovarian teratomas that undergo malignant transformation. We describe a case of successful in vitro fertilization pregnancy and delivery after a fertility-sparing laparoscopic operation in a patient with papillary thyroid carcinoma arising from a mature cystic teratoma.
