인터넷 서비스 가입자망은 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하는 새로운 대안으로 제시되고 있는 망이지만 접속 방식에 따라서 여러 가지 형태와 특성을 가지고 있다. 접속 방식 별로 여러 가지의 이기종(異機種) 장비들이 배치되고 있으며, 전국적으로 분산된 가입자 망 장비 및 자원에 대한 효율적이며 집중적인 통합 관리를 위해서는 관리되는 장비의 종류에 무관한 일반적인 정보 모델인 단일화된 개념적/추상적 관리객체 모델이 요구된다. 본 논문은 인터넷 서비스 가입자망을 통합 관리하기 위한 추상적이며 논리적인 관리객체 모델을 제시하였다. 그리고 이를 기반으로 UML을 이용한 객체지향 방법론을 적용하여 가입자망인 DOCSIS 기반의 케이블데이터 서비스를 위한 가입자망과 VDSL서비스를 위한 가입자망에 대해 동일한 모델을 적용하여 하나의 통합된 가입자망을 관리할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

일반 가입자들에게 초고속 인터넷 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 구성되는 가입자 망은ADSL, VDSL, DOCSIS 등 다양한 종류의 접속방식과 그에 따른 이기종(이기종)의 장비들로 이루어져 있다. 이러한 가입자 망은 전국적으로 분산되어 있으며, 분산된 가입자 망은 효과적이며 집중화된 형태로 관리하기 위해서는 다양한 형태의 접속방식을 지원하는 이기종 장비 및 단말들의 상위 개념으로서 추상적이며 논리적인 객체 관리모델이 필요하다. 본 논문은 통합된 계층적 망관리를 가능하게 하는 인터넷 가입자 망에 대한 모델링 구조론 RM-ODP흘 이용하여 제시하였다. 그리고 가입자 망의 예로서 UML을 이용한 객체지향 방법론을 채택하여 DOCSIS의 HFC 가입자망에 대한 관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

일반 가정에 초고속 인터넷 서비스를 제공하는 가입자 망은 다양한 종류의 접속방식과 이기종(異機種)의 장비를 이용하여 일반 가정 가입자에게 단일 형태의 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 그리고 가입자 망의 접속방식에는 망의 종류에 따라서 ADSL, VDSL, DOCSIS 등 다양한 형태가 있다. 이러한 여러 가지 형태를 가지고 분산되어 있는 가입자 망을 효율적이며 집중화된 형태로 관리하기 위해서는 다양한 형태의 접속방식을 지원하는 이기종 장비 및 단말들의 상위 개념으로서 추상적이며 논리적인 객체 관리모델이 필요하다. 본 논문은 통합된 망관리를 가능하게 하는 인터넷 가입자 망에 대한 계층적 모델링 구조를 제시한다. 그리고 UML에 근거한 객체지향 방법론을 이용하여 DOCSIS의 케이블데이터 가입자망과 VDSL을 이 용한 가입자망에 대한 통합 망관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다.

The upstream noise level was measured and analysed for the sample HFC networks to HFC subscriber capacity in the HFC network that is only for cable modem services. The upstream bands were measured not only in HFC networks that have accommodated only cable modem subscribers but in CATV networks that have accommodated cable modem and CATV subscribers. The study says that C/N of HFC networks be maintained though the networks have more cable modem subscribers than CATV networks do. This results are being expected to be used as a basis of network design and management of HFC network provider .

가입자 망에는 ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line), VDSL(Very high-bit rate Digital Subscriber Line), DOCSIS(Data Over Cable Service Interface Specifications) 등이 있으며, 다양한 형태가 있다. 다양한 종류의 접속방식과 이 기종의 장비를 이용하여 가입자에게 단일 형태의 초고속 인터넷 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 이러한 여러 가지 분산된 가입자 망을 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 다양한 형태의 접속방식을 지원하는 이 기종 장비 및 단말들의 상위 개념으로서 추상적이며 개념적인 객체 관리모델이 필요하다. 본 논문은 통합된 계층적 망 관리를 가능하게 하는 인터넷 가입자 망에 대한 모델링 구조를 RM-ODP를 이용하여 제시하였다. 그리고 가입자 망의 예로서 UML을 이용한 객체지향 방법론을 채택하여 DOCSIS의 HFC 가입자망에 대한 관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

In this paper, a research on the structure and the network configuration of the location register(LR), which database of new locations and service informations of subscribers according to the movement of subscribers in personal communication system(PCS). since the traditional PCS manages all the databases with the location informations as a centralized type. The service informations of the subscribers are centrally controlled by the HLR. So there have been the heavy signal traffic and the call setup delay. In order to relieve such problem, the proposed types of the configurations are the distributed type of PCS scheme and the hierarchical PCS scheme. In the distributed scheme, each PCS has its own LR and in the hierarchical PCS scheme, several LR are grouped to from a layer so that overall structure is a tree style.

This research work is concerned with a location-based alert service in wireless communication network environment. The alert service automatically transfers alert message to subscriber in the disaster area. This research work deals with automatic alert services that automatically provide people in emergency area with the state of emergency. The alert service uses the mobile device to inform its urgency to the subscribers in its area. The location tracking service will give the list of people in emergency area. The all processes of this research work are followed as. First, when a disaster or a calamity comes in, an emergency management center receives the emergency to analyze its shape and size and to declare the place to 'the disaster area.' Secondly, then the center finds information of mobile device subscribers in the disaster area. Finally, the center automatically generates a shape of text or audio of alert message of the emergency to send the message to the subscribers in the disaster area. Our mobile automatic alert service proposed above is so efficient that the subscribers in disasters area may meet the emergency more efficiently and may save their own valuable lives and properties more safely.

International Roaming is a kind of telecommunication service that enables subscribers use the same mobile number when they go abroad and access other service provider's network. International roaming call is made through three network parts-home (original service provider) network, intermediate network, and local (overseas service provider) network. It is not possible to monitor every section of whole roaming service network because service providers do not provide their network management information to other service providers. The limitation causes harsh problem when a service anomaly arises and operators have to confirm the reason of failure. To solve this problem, we propose a scheme that deduces roaming service status of each overseas service provider using internal network management information. SK telecom implemented a international roaming service management system based on the scheme using performance measurement of signaling points, roaming service nodes, and charging data from existing network management systems.

Policy introducing open access to the wireless network has been under discussion in the Korean mobile telecommunications industry. The policy, which directs mobile operators to allow mobile portals other than their own ones to access their network and subscribers, is expected to vitalize mobile Internet market through competition among portals.
