The study results provided the foundation of the future intervention methods and the related program developments.
Wheelchair users have a difficulty in managing their weight because there is lack of measure systems and even though the users have the system, it costs too much. Thus, purpose of this study is for developing the portable weight scale automatic device to help wheelchair users by monitoring their weight on the wheelchairs in real time. Portable weight scale automatic device composed by four strain gauges, and the device was connected with mobile phone so that wheelchair users were able to check their weight in real time. In order to evaluate the device performance, 10 normal subjects and 10 disabled subjects participated in this study. The subjects' truth weight and measured weight by the device are compared. The weigh difference within normal subjects was $0.75{\pm}0.80kg$, and the weigh difference within disabled subjects was $1.02{\pm}0.74kg$. Difference between the truth weigh and the measured weigh were not statistically different. The reason for this error occurred is inaccuracy of the loadcell installation and calibration. If this problems get solved, the measured indicator is expected to help wheelchair users to manage their weight.
This study aims to compare and analyze the trends of research on mobile learning conducted in Korea and China to suggest future directions and multifaceted subject areas in its study field. To achieve this purpose, 620 Chinese papers from CNKI (CSSCI and CSCD) database and 205 Korean papers from RISS database (KCI and KCI candidate) published between 2009 and 2018 were selected to be analyzed through applying the frequency analysis and visualized semantic network analysis. The criteria for analysis used in this study are four types: publication years, research subjects, research methods, and keywords. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, in relation to the year of publication, Korea entered the peak of mobile learning research in 2016 (33 papers), and China reached high publications (94 papers) in 2017. Secondly, with regard to the research subjects, the most frequently studied subjects in Korea and China were targeted to college students, followed by general adult groups. Thirdly, in terms of research methods, quantitative research accounted for a high proportion in Korea, but in China, literature research showed a high frequency. Fourthly, the high frequency keywords appearing in mobile learning research of the two countries were mainly reflected in language learning. Based on the findings, several directions of future research for both countries were suggested.
This study aimed to evaluate the perception of informed consent for subjects who are participated in oriental medicine clinical trials and over 60 years old. In this research, 215 subjects who were participated in clinical trials were surveyed between Apr. 13, 2011 and Jul. 20, 2011. And the collected data was analyzed with computer software of SPSS 17.0. In the case of objective perception, almost all of subjects answered that they have ever heard of the consent form. However, 50.7 points were collected for the question of "As I already signed the consent form, I have to participate in the clinical trials", which showed the subjects had misperception about quitting the clinical trials. In the case of subjective perception, subjects well knew that the purpose of clinical trial is research, not medical treatment. However, the perception about the purpose of clinical trials that they are participated in was low. In the both cases of objective and subjective perception with general characteristics, they showed differences (p<0.045) with the marital status of subjects, however other categories did not show any difference. In conclusion, researchers should provide sufficient explanation as well as adequate Information in order to protect the personality of subjects, so that the subjects can make a right decision.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends of elementary mathematics education with regard to the topics, methods, subjects, and mathematical contents of such research. For this purpose, the papers published in domestic journals during the recent 5 years (2004-2009) were analyzed. A total of 383 papers from 8 professional journals were analyzed with the 4 criteria. First, the frequent research topics included instructional design and methods, learners' perspectives and abilities, and analysis of curriculum and textbooks in order. Second, qualitative research methodology was used twice as many as quantitative one. Whereas a survey was the most frequent quantitative research method, content analysis and case study were for qualitative methods. Third, research subjects included mainly typical students, specifically fifth and sixth graders. Papers dealing with lower graders or low-achievers as well as pre-service teachers were rare. Lastly, whereas the research on geometry as well as number and operations was active, that of measurement as well as probability and statistics was not. On the basis of these results, this paper includes several implications for the future research direction in elementary mathematics education.
This study had three major purpose: 1) to examine the relationship between coloring factor of Hors d'oeuvre and preference of dishes. 2) to examine the relationship between coloring factor of Hors d'oeuvre and selection of dishes. 3) to examine the relationship between coloring factor of Hors d'oeuvre and customer satisfaction. Questionnaires for the study were distributed 300 subjects in deluxe class hotels in Seoul. Among 300 questionnaires, 280 subjects were collected and utilized for analysis. In HY hotel, 35 subjects of customers, 24 subjects of cooks, and 32 subjects of service personnels were collected. In R hotel, 29 subjects of customers, 32 subjects of cooks, and 32 subjects of service personnels were collected. In H hotel, 29 subjects of customers, 34 subjects of cooks, and 33 subjects of service personnels were collected. Analysis ways used for this study were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, ANOVA, To accomplished the objective 1), ANOVA was utilized. To accomplished the objective 2) and 3), regression analysis was unitized. The findings from this study were as follows. First it was found that selection of dishes was affected by coloring factory of Hors d'oeuvre. Secondly, it was found that customer satisfaction was affected by coloring factor of Hors d'oeuvre. Consequently, development of Hors d'oeuvre by harmonizing of various colorings should be activated to raise level of preference of dishes. Also, in regard to level of satisfaction, harmony of various colorings should be required.
In this paper, we propose a novel method to quantify the neural synchronization between subjects in the collaborative process through electroencephalogram (EEG) hyperscanning. We hypothesized that the neural synchronization in EEGs will increase when the communication of the operators is smooth and the teamwork is better. We quantified the EEG signal for multiple subjects using a representative EEG quantification method, and studied the changes in brain activity occurring during collaboration. The proposed method quantifies neural synchronization between subjects through bispectral analysis. We found that phase synchronization between EEGs of multi subjects increased significantly during the periods of collaborative work. Traditional methods for a human error analysis used a retrospective analysis, and most of them were analyzed for an unspecified majority. However, the proposed method is able to perform the real-time monitoring of human error and can directly analyze and evaluate specific groups.
The purpose of this study was to compare the differences of weight-bearing distribution between subjects with low back pain and healthy subjects. Fifty-one subjects (22 men, 29 women; mean age = 42.9 years) with low back pain and 31 healthy subjects (11 men, 20 women; mean age = 35.4 years) were evaluated. The weight-bearing distribution was measured by two commercial scales during comfortable standing. The difference of weight-bearing distribution between right and left side was calculated for each subject. The differences of weight-bearing distribution in subjects with low back pain and healthy subjects were 6.0 kg and 4.5 kg, respectively. However, there were no significant differences in the weight-bearing distribution between subjects with low back pain and healthy subjects.
The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of the elective curriculum in academic high school. Elective curriculum of the high school seems to take more important status than that in the 6th national curriculum. The number of elective subjects of the high school increased from 60 different subjects for the 6th national curriculum to 79 different subjects for the 7th national curriculum. In addition, students can make their own courses and have a right to choose the subjects. In order to ascertain how elective subjects are being implemented and whether students can choose the subjects they wish to learn, this study conducted a national survey. The results of this survey are as follows. Despite the emphasis of the 7th national curriculum on the elective subjects in academic high schools, the curriculum implementation of elective subjects seems to be unacceptable. In most schools, only two typical courses such as humanities/social sciences and natural sciences courses are being offered for students as elective courses, and the scope of elective subjects students can choose appears very narrow. That's why we need to do research in order to improve implementation of elective subjects.

This research paper presents the use of different forms of literature by the PhD researchers of the Department of Political Science and the Department of Public Administration, Punjabi University, Patiala. It is assessed by analyzing the resources cited in the PhD theses awarded by Punjabi University, Patiala during 2015-2019. The different bibliographic forms of the references have been analyzed in order to find out the year-wise submission, average citations per thesis, authorship pattern, chronology, use of electronic resources, and format of citations in both the subjects under study. It has been found in this study that average citations per thesis in Political Science is more (200.53) than Public Administration (160.6). Books are most preferred form in both the subjects. Majority of the citations in both the subjects are from the period 2000-2009. Ranked list of journals for both the subjects have been prepared to identify core journals. The core journals in both the subjects are 9. Bradford Multipliers have been calculated and application of Bradford Law of Scattering has also been tested for both the subjects. It is expected that the present study will help librarians in selecting, retaining and cancelling the existing journals in Political Science and Public Administration.
