미국 영 플러스 사이즈 제품 시장성 평가를 위한 소비자 수요조사 (Consumer survey on the marketability of young plus-size clothes in the USA)

  • Over the past few years, companies have started moving into specific niches in plus-size fashion. The purpose of this study was to verify the marketability of young plus-size clothes in the USA. Data were collected from female consumers aged from 20 to 39 who have experience of purchasing plus-size items. A total of 282 responses were used for statistical analysis. The research result is as follows. First, the obesity stress is affected more by the subjective obesity level than by the objective obesity level and by how people recognize their body types. Second, from an analysis of the factors affecting the shopping orientation of plus-size consumers, style consciousness, pursuing reasonable, emphasizing comfort, and body consciousness are found to be important factors. Third, even if responders are aware of their exact body size, they actively look for the correct size. Fourth, fit evaluation of plus-size products is based on the factors of size fit and movement fit. The respondents were unsatisfied with chest and arm measurements, which deviate widely by body type for tops. Fifth, the overall dissatisfaction with the plus-size market is attributed to the fact that the product assortment range from which to select styles is narrow, and trend reflection is low. Sixth, the respondents tended to avoid fabrics that make their body type more obvious, textures that give the impression of a larger body size, or stiff textures. These results show that the psychological and physical characteristics of obese consumers should be considered to develop products for the young plus-size market.

  • This study compared and studied the clothing mobility of two types of aerobic clothes - those made of currently popular stretch materials and those made of new stretch materials that were specially developed for this study. The focus of the comparison was on the range of joint movement during activity, and the physiological burden imposed on the body by the clothes. In total, 18 experiments were carried out under controlled conditions in an artificial climatic chamber with a temperature of $25{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, air humidity of $60{\pm}5^{\circ}C$ and negligible air movement. Each exercise program consisted of a 30-minute of aerobic workout and a 20-minute rest following the exercise. Measurements were taken to determine the following: physiological reactions (whole-body and local sweat rates), subjective sensations(of temperature, humidity, comfort, tightness, and clothing wetness), joint angle(measured with a goniometer), and so on. The results of the study us as follows: Material B excels in clothing mobility. Material C excels in sweat absorbency and drying speed. Material A was found to be the hottest material, while material C was found to be slightly hot through the analysis of the change in pre- and post-exercise bodyweight(= amount of sweat). Regarding the amount of evaporated sweat, material A>material C>material B. Material B produced the smallest amount of evaporated sweat. The wider the range of joint movement, the smaller the amount of sweat and the lower the average skin temperature.

코로나19에 의한 대학생들의 스트레스에 대한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Stress of Undergraduate due to COVID-19)

  • 본 연구는 코로나19에 대한 대학생들의 주관적 인식 및 경험을 중심으로 스트레스에 대한 집중면담을 통해 의미를 도출하고자 질적 연구방법을 활용하였다. 연구 참여자는 경기도 Y대학에 재학 중인 대학생 12명이었으며, 질문지는 '코로나19로 인해 본인의 일상생활은 어떠한 변화가 있었습니까?', '코로나19로 인해 본인의 주변 환경에 어떠한 변화가 있었습니까?', '코로나19로 인해 어떠한 편안함/불편함을 경험하셨습니까?' 와 같은 개방형으로 구성되었다. 코로나19로 인해 대학생이 경험하는 스트레스에 대한 분석결과, 스트레스 요인으로는 학업의 질 저하 우려, 사회적 관계 단절 불안, 일자리(아르바이트)감소에 따른 부담, 건강 및 안전 불안 총 4개 유형으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 종합해보면, 대학의 온라인수업 최적화를 위한 노력, 비대면을 통한 사회적 관계 방식 모색, 대학생 대상 일자리 창출 정책 마련, 코로나19에 따른 식생활로 인한 건강관리 방안 등이 논의되어야 할 것으로 보여 진다.

K-MEANS 알고리즘을 이용한 인지 재활 훈련 방법의 개선 (Improvement of Cognitive Rehabilitation Method using K-means Algorithm)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인지기능 훈련 콘텐츠들을 사용하는 동안 사용자들의 흥미와 몰입도를 높이기 위하여 인지 능력 수준에 맞춘 훈련 방법을 제시하는 것이다. 사용자의 인지 능력 수준은 K-means 알고리즘을 적용한 협업 필터링을 사용하여 사용자들의 정보와 한국형 아동 간이 정신 상태 검사 점수를 기반으로 군집화한 결과를 바탕으로 이루어졌다. 이 결과를 구현된 인지기능 훈련 통합 시스템에 적용하여 사용자의 인지 능력 수준에 알맞은 인지기능 훈련 영역 별 콘텐츠 순서와 난이도를 추천하였다. 특히 콘텐츠 난이도 조절은 사용자들이 긴장감과 편안함을 반복적으로 느낄 수 있도록 제안한 '몰입이론' 방법을 적용하여 높은 몰입감을 주고자 하였다. 결론적으로 본 논문에서 제안한 사용자 맞춤형 인지기능 훈련 방법은 기존의 치료사가 콘텐츠 순서와 난이도를 주관적으로 설정하는 것보다 더욱 효과적이고 재활 결과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

점진적 컴프레션 및 유연면상발열을 통한 혈액순환 개선 여성 레깅스 프로토타입 개발 및 평가 (Development and evaluation of women's leggings prototype for improvement of blood circulation through flexible heating surface and gradual compression)

  • Blood circulation is one of the most important life support functions of our body. It is essential to maintain healthy blood circulation as problems with blood circulation can lead to numerous diseases and serious complications. This study developed women's leggings with gradual compression and soft surface heating functions to improve blood circulation, and evaluated their performance and wearability. A silicon print pattern was developed to provide gradual compression, and a flexible heating surface coated with MWCNT (multi-walled carbon nanotube) conductive ink was fabricated for comfort and thermal effect. For the design, incision lines and materials were applied in consideration of aesthetic aspects, and design lines and colors were altered using a 3D program. The developed leggings showed that blood circulation can be improved when gradual compression and heating functions are simultaneously applied. Results were confirmed through measurements of clothing pressure, blood flow, and surface temperature. In the subjective wearability evaluation, it was confirmed that wearers felt gradual pressure, and they showed high satisfaction with wearability and design.

생성형 인공지능 초기 단계의 사용자경험(UX): Q-방법론을 통해 살펴본 30-40대 직장인의 편의와 우려 (User Experience (UX) in the Early Days of Generative AI : The benefits and concerns of employees in their 30s and 40s through the Q-methodology)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the customer experience of generative AI among office workers aged 30 to 40, investigating usability, usefulness, and affect, and understanding concerns and expectations. Design/Methodology/Approach This research used Q methodology to assess the customer experience of generative AI. Users are engaged in a problem-solving journey, and data is collected by having participants rank 36 statements based on usability, usefulness, and affect, referred to as the three goals of User Experience. Participants use a forced distribution table with a scale from -5 to +5 to indicate the subjective importance of each statement. The results identified four groups, reflecting different perspectives and attitudes toward generative AI. Findings Participants express overall comfort with generative AI, perceive AI as more knowledgeable in unfamiliar domains, but harbor doubts about AI's understanding. Disagreements emerge on AI replacing humans, the value of unique human roles, data confidentiality, fears of AI advancement, and emotional impacts. Identified four groups: Users who treat AI as a soulless assistant and are active in business use, Uncle users who want to use new technologies properly and are not afraid of technology, users who recognize the limits of AI despite its efficiency, and users who require strong verification in the future. It has the potential to guide future guidelines, ethical codes, and regulations for the appropriate use of AI. In addition, this approach lays the groundwork for future empirical analyses of generative AI.

만성 성인성 치주염 치료시 비외과적, 외과적 방법에 대한 의사결정 (Decision Making on the Non surgical, Surgical Treatment on Chronic Adult Periodontitis)

  • The purpose of this study was to make and ascertain a decision making process on the base of patient-oriented utilitarianism in the treatment of patients of chronic adult periodontitis. Fifty subjects were chosen in Yonsei Dental hospital and the other fifty were chosen in Severance dental hospital according to the selection criteria. Fifty four patients agreed in this study. NS group(N=32) was treated with scaling and root planing without any surgical intervention, the other S group(N=22) done with flap operation. During the active treatment and healing time, all patients of both groups were educated about the importance of oral hygiene and controlled every visit to the hospital. When periodontal treatment needed according to the diagnostic results, some patients were subjected to professional tooth cleaning and scaling once every 3 months according to an individually designed oral hygienic protocol. Probing depth was recorded on baseline and 18 months after treatments. A questionnaire composed of 6 kinds(hygienic easiness, hypersensitivity, post treatment comfort, complication, functional comfort, compliance) of questions was delivered to each patient to obtain the subjective evaluation regarding the results of therapy. The decision tree for the treatment of adult periodontal disease was made on the result of 2 kinds of periodontal treatment and patient's ubjective evaluation. The optimal path was calculated by using the success rate of the results as the probability and utility according to relative value and the economic value in the insurance system. The success rate to achieve the diagnostic goal of periodontal treatment as the remaining pocket depth less than 3mm and without BOP was $0.83{\pm}0.12$ by non surgical treatment and $0.82{\pm}0.14$ by surgical treatment without any statistically significant difference. The moderate success rate of more than 4mm probing pocket depth were 0.17 together. The utilities of non-surgical treatment results were 100 for a result with less than 3mm probing pocket depth, 80 for the other results with more than 4mm probing pocket depth, 0 for the extraction. Those of surgical treatment results were the same except 75 for the results with more than 4mm. The pooling results of subjective evaluation by using a questionnaire were 60% for satisfaction level and 40% for no satisfaction level in the patient group receiving nonsurgical treatment and 33% and 67% in the other group receiving surgical treatment. The utilities for 4 satisfaction levels were 100, 75, 60, 50 on the base of that the patient would express the satisfaction level with normal distribution. The optimal path of periodontal treatment was rolled back by timing the utility on terminal node and the success rate, the distributed ratio of patient's satisfaction level. Both results of the calculation was non surgical treatment. Therefore, it can be said that non-surgical treatment may be the optimal path for this decision tree of treatment protocol if the goal of the periodontal treatment is to achieve the remaining probing pocket depth of less than 3mm for adult chronic periodontitis and if the utilitarian philosophy to maximise the expected utility for the patients is advocated.

냉방환경에서 쿨맵시 착용에 따른 생리적 반응과 주관적 감각 (Physiological responses and subjective sensation of human body wearing Cool Mapsi in air-conditioning environment)

  • 여름철 에너지 절약, 온실가스 줄이기, 직장인의 건강증진 등을 위한 쿨맵시 캠페인에 대하여 범국민 인식 및 실천의 필요를 바탕으로, 본 연구는 착의실험을 통해 클맵시 권장복장 착용시의 생리적 반응 및 주관적 감각에 대해 분석하였다. 1차 실험은 두 복장, 즉 일반복장, 쿨맵시 권장복장에 대한 생리적 반응의 측정으로서, 두 환경기온 $25^{\circ}C$$27^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 50%R.H.에서 20대 성인남성 4명을 대상으로 실험을 행하였다. 일반복장은 긴팔 셔츠 정장바지 차림이었고 쿨맵시 권장복장은 넥타이 없이 반팔셔츠에 정장바지 차림이었다. 피험자는 30분간의 안정기를 가진 후 60분 동안 실험을 실시하였는데 사무실 작업과 유사한 컴퓨터 워드작업을 행하였고, 피부온, 직장온, 의복하 습도, 발한량, 온열감, 습윤감, 쾌적감 등을 측정하였다. 대부분의 반응에서 $25^{\circ}C$ 일반복장의 경우와 $27^{\circ}C$ 쿨맵시복장의 경우가 유사한 결과를 나타내고 우수한 것으로 나타났다. $25^{\circ}C$ 쿨맵시복장의 경우에는 저강도 작업이 지속되면 직장온의 저하가 우려되었으며 $27^{\circ}C$ 일반복장에서는 고 평균 피부온, 고 발한량, 높은 온열감 등을 보였다. 2차 실험은 일반복장을 착용한 채 환경온도를 점진적으로 하강시키면서 권장 여름철 냉방온인 $27^{\circ}C$에서 쿨맵시 권장복장을 착용한 경우의 피부온도를 발현시키는 실내 환경온도를 찾는 것이었다. 그 결과 권장복장 경우의 피부온을 나타내려면 일반복장의 경우에는 환경온을 $2^{\circ}C$를 더 낮추어야만 하였다. 여름철 실내 환경온을 $27^{\circ}C$로 높이고 쿨맵시 권장복장을 착용하는 것이 사무실의 장시간 저강도 작업 하에서는 피부온, 주관적 온열감이 우수하였다.

비만아동의 온도적응성에 대한 착의훈련 효과 (Effect of Wear Training on Temperature Adaptability of the Obese Children)

  • 본 연구에서는 비만아동의 온도적응능력을 향상시키기 위해 초등학교 4학년$\∼$6학년에 재학 중인 비만아동 13명(남자 6명, 여자 7명)을 대상으로 하여, 10주간의 단기 의복착용훈련 프로그램을 시행한 후 프로그램의 효과를 알아보았다. 프로그램 시행기간 중 아동이 매일 직접 측정한 주택 내 실내온도는 평균 25.1$^{circ}C$였고, 아동이 착용한 체표면적당 의복의 무게(착의량)는 평균 300g/$m^{2}$였으며, 실내온도와 착의량 간에는 유의한 상관이 있었다(p < .01). 프로그램의 시행효과를 구체적으로 알아보기 위해, 23.0$\pm$0.5$^{circ}C$, 50$\pm$5$\%$RH로 조절된 인공기후실에서 실험을 실시하여, 반소매 면 티셔츠(0.13clo)와 T/C 반바지(0.09c1o)를 착용하고 안정상태에 있는 아동의 체온, 피부온, 혈압 및 맥박 등의 생리반응과 쾌적감 및 온랭감의 주관적 감각반응을 프로그램 시행 전후에 측정한 후 얻은 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 평균피부온은 프로그램 시행전후에 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 전반적으로 체온과 평균혈압은 프로그램 시행 후에 내려갔다(p < .01). 주관적 감각반응에서는 프로그램 시행 후에 여아가 남아에 비해 약간 더 따뜻하게 느꼈고(p < .05), 이에 따라 아동자신이 선택한 쾌적온도는 더 낮은 경향을 나타내었다(p < .1). 이와 같은 연구결과는 비만아동의 행동성 및 자율성 체온조절연구에 유익할 것이나, 보다 명확한 자료를 얻기 위해서는 종합적이고 장기적인 훈련프로그램의 시행이 요구된다.

하계 항만열환경정보 제공을 위한 열환경 평가 및 예보시스템 구축 (Heat Stress Assessment and the Establishment of a Forecast System to Provide Thermophysiological Indices for Harbor Workers in Summer)

  • Objectives: Outdoor workers are exposed to thermally stressful work environments. In this study, heat stress indices for harbor workers in summer were calculated to evaluate thermal comfort based on a human heat balance model. These indices are Physiological Subjective Temperature (PST), Dehydration Risk (DhR), and Overheating Risk (OhR) according to respective stage of cargo work in a harbor. In addition, we constructed a forecast system to provide heat stress information. Methods: Thermophysiological indices in this study were calculated using the MENEX model (i.e. the human heat balance model), which used as inputs the meteorological parameters, clothing insulation, and metabolic rate for each stage of cargo work in the harbor of Masan over the course of seven days, including a four-day heat wave. The forecast heat stress information constructed for Masan harbor was based on meteorological data supported by the Dong-Nae Forecast from the KMA (Korea Metrological Administration) and other input parameters. Results: According to higher metabolic rate, thermophysiological indices showed a critical level. In particular, PST was evaluated as reaching the 'Very hot' or 'Hot' level during all seven days, despite the heat occurring over only four. It is important in a regard to consider the work environment conditions (i.e. labor intensity and clothing in harbor). On a webpage, the forecast thermophysiological indices show as infographics to be easily understand. This webpage is comprised of indices for both current conditions and the forecast, with brief guidance. Conclusion: Thermophysiological indices show the risk level to health during a heat wave period. Heat stress information could help to protect the health of harbor workers. Further, this study could extend the applicability of these indices to a variety of outdoor workers in consideration of work environments.
