The study attempted a comprehensive assessment of factors affecting health-related quality of life in the young-old and old-old. Data from the Community Health Survey for 5 years from 2015 to 2019 were analyzed. Research Results Health-related quality of life appears to be higher in the elderly than in the late-stage elderly, and various factors such as age, education level, household income, presence or absence of economic activity, presence or absence of moderate physical activity, stress or presence, and subjective health level Has been found to affect health-related quality of life. In particular, good or bad subjective health and subjective oral health had the greatest influence. In terms of the household type, the quality of life was high in young-old adults living in a three-generation household and old-old adults living in a one-generation household. Considering these characteristics, public policy programs should be developed and implemented to help the elderly with successful aging by improving their quality of life.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the health-related quality of life of premature menopausal women with that of normal postmenopausal women and to identify factors related to quality of life in these two groups. Methods: A secondary analysis was conducted of a sample of 5,910 postmenopausal women drawn from women aged 19-79 years, using raw data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Survey between 2014 and 2017. Quality of life was compared between premature menopausal women and normal postmenopausal women using the t-test and chi-square test, and factors related to quality of life were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression using SAS version 9.4. Results: There was no significant difference in quality of life between premature menopausal women and normal postmenopausal women. Subjective health status and symptoms of depression were identified as factors related to quality of life in women with premature menopause, while engaging in aerobic physical activity, subjective health status, stress, and symptoms of depression were found to be related to quality of life among normal postmenopausal women. Conclusion: It is necessary to support self-care measures for both premature and normal menopausal women to adapt to changes caused by menopause, and multidimensional strategies should be developed considering postmenopausal women's subjective health status and symptoms of depression to improve their quality of life.

Objectives: The main purpose of this study was to examine factors contributing the quality of life related to oral heath such as level of oral health knowledge, subjective knowledge on oral health, awareness of oral health and OHIP-14, and furthermore to analyze any relations among these factors. Methods: The questionnaire survey was carried out on a convenience sample of 230 middle school students at the selected middle school in Chungcheongnam-do. T-test and one-way ANOVA and correlation test were conducted over the collected datas using SPSS 12.0(SPSS 12.0 KOR for Windows, SPSS Inc, Chicago, USA). Results: The results of the study are as follows: 1. 6.38 was average score for oral health knowledge and 10.0 was the maximum. Subjective oral health awareness scored of average 2.99 with maximum of 5.0. OHIP-14 corresponded to average 4.30 and maximum 5.0. 2. Different level of oral heath knowledge was resulted from that of education, which means the greater level of oral health knowledge indicated greater awareness of oral health. 3. OHIP-14 was higher for those who lived with their parents than those who in did not(P=0.012). 4. There exhibits a proportional relationship between subjective awareness of oral health and OHIP-14(r=0.297). Conclusion: It was found that subjective awareness of oral health partially influences to OHIP-14. In other words, subjective awareness of oral health has an effect on the quality of life related to oral health. Hence, there needs more effort on oral health education and oral disorder prevention activities in order to improve subjective awareness of oral health.
Purpose: To investigate the subjective health and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Haenyo. Methods: Subjects were 100 elderly Haenyo in Jeju island who belonged to a fishing-village society. Main variables were activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental ADL (IADL), the HRQoL, subjective health, and depression. Subjective health and differences of HRQoL by variables were analyzed by t-test or ANOVA using IBM SPSS Statistics 23. Hierarchical multiple regression was executed to examine the effects of the major factors on the quality of life. Results: The mean age was 69.9 years, the mean period for diving career was 51.5 years, and work hours per month were 37.8. Comorbidity of diseases was 2.74, and the common health problems were osteoporosis and headache/dizziness. HRQoL was significantly different by age (F=4.52, p=.013), education (F=6.10, p=.003), muljil work years (F=3.93, p=.050), depression (t=-3.04, p=.030), subjective health state (F=30.62, p<.01), and degenerative arthritis (F=-2.38, p=.019). In the final model by hierarchical multiple regression, ADL/IADL (${\beta}=.41$, p<.001), depression (${\beta}=-.29$, p<.001), and subjective health (${\beta}=.43{\sim}.51$, p<.001) were significant and explained 63.5% of the total variance of HRQoL. Conclusion: Haenyo have specific health problems different from those of elderly women in general. ADL/IADL, depression and subjective health affected their HRQoL. It is clear that Haenyos' health problems need further study to improve their health.
This study is a 1:1 survey of 154 elderly 65 or older to find out the direct and indirect effects of oral dryness on their quality of life through the medium of depression. As a result, the subjective oral health of the elderly and oral dryness, depression and quality of life were correlated. In the medial effect of subjective oral health and oral dryness on the quality of life, subjective oral health is the quality of life(β=.23, p<.01), depression(β=-.24, p<.01)and the influence of subjective oral health when depression is controlled(β=.08, p>05) was not significant and was completely mediated. Oral dryness is the quality of life(β=-.24, p<.01) and depression(β=.37, p<.001) was shown to have a significant effect and the influence of oral dryness when depression is controlled(β=.00, p>.05) was not significant and was completely mediated. In order to improve the quality of life for the elderly, it is necessary to develop and apply a comprehensive arbitration program that can improve oral health and oral function, and to study the effects of consequences in the future.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the subjective level of health-related quality of life of Korean healthcare workers using various quality-of-life instruments. Methods: This study included 992 participants, who were doctors and nurses. A survey was conducted between November 28 and December 4, 2019. Data from 954 participants divided into 3 groups (physicians, residents, and nurses) were analyzed. Four measurement tools (29 questions) were used in the survey to evaluate subjective health status and well-being. Results: In the Mayo Well-being Index, burnout during work (88.5%) and emotional difficulties caused by work (84.0%) were frequently cited by the respondents. Regarding questions on burnout and emotional difficulties, residents and nurses had the highest scores (91.0 and 89.6%, respectively). Emotional problems, such as anxiety, depression, and irritability, accounted for a high percentage (73.1%) of the total, while 82.2% of respondents reported that their work schedules interfered with their leisure and family time. There was no significant difference among the groups in subjective health status. However, 10.1% of the residents experienced very low quality of life, which was a higher proportion than that of physicians (2.7%) and nurses (5.2%). Conclusions: The level of well-being that Korean medical workers experienced in relation to work was lower than the results of the United States healthcare workers surveyed using the same tool. This study was unique in that it conducted a subjective quality-of-life survey on Korean healthcare workers.
This research aims to analyze and compare the objective and subjective evaluation criteria for home appliances. In addition, this research examined the correlation between those evaluation criteria. Furthermore, consumers are divided by the level of the differences between those criteria; consumer groups whose subjective evaluation level for the quality of home appliances is greater than objective evaluation level, consumer groups whose subjective evaluation level is almost the same, and consumer groups whose subjective evaluation level for the quality of home appliances is lower than objective evaluation level, and this study investigated the differences those three groups by the socio-demographic characteristics and consumers' behavior in the stage of purchase. Results of this research could be summarized as follows. First of all, there were statistically significant between the level of the objective and subjective evaluation in the quality of home appliances. Second, when consumers purchased the expensive home appliance, imported-brand home appliance, home appliances in department store, the level of subjective evaluation level for the quality of home appliances is higher than objective evaluation level. Third, the level of satisfaction for the price, quality, AS, overall satisfaction, and the level of willingness to repurchase were higher in consumer groups whose subjective evaluation level was higher than objective evaluation level.

This study was attempted to identify the effects of physical and mental health on quality of life in middle-aged adults by gender. The Data were analyzed for 4,511 adults (2,260 men, 2,251 women) aged 45 to 65 who had no missing values in major variables based on the data of the 2016 Korea Health Panel. According to the data, the quality of life in middle-aged adults was .92 (±.08) for men and .91 (±.10) for women, which was significantly higher than that of women (t=3.54, p<.001). Factors affecting the quality of life in middle-aged men were subjective health status (β=.40, p<.001), stress (β=-.17, p<.001) and education level (β=.10, p<.001), and these variables explained 23% of the quality of life (F=227.28, p<.001). Factors affecting the quality of life in middle-aged women were subjective health status (β=.40, p<.001), stress (β=-.11, p<.001), education level (β=.05, p=.011) and anxiety (β=-.05, p=.022), and these variables explained 21% of the quality of life (F=145.42, p<.001). Based on the results of this study, the group with low level of education in middle-aged adults needs health management, education on how to relieve stress, and intensive management to improve the quality of life. In addition, the differentiated approach should be required to reduce anxiety in middle-aged women.
Objectives: To evaluate the clinical use of Kupperman's Index, Menopausespecific quality of life questionnaire(MENQOL), Menopause Rating Scale(MRS) by comparison with the Subjective measures of hot flush.
