주관적 모의실험을 기반으로 한 국내 포도농가의 소득 분포 추정 (Estimation of Income Distribution for Domestic Grape-producing Farms Based on the Subjective Simulation Process)

  • Decision-makings or the related policies regarding domestic grape production heavily depends upon the known market price data and official statistics periodically announced by government, at national level. However, usual adaption of the 'simple means' from these data may bring seriously biased decision-makings when the original data are biased, especially when the data are not convinced to be normal distributions to decision makers. In this regards, this study employs Monte Carlo simulation technique to overcome the limitations, based on the decision makers' subjective assumptions on the known data, and, tries to come up with flexible range of business information regarding grape-producing farm income. The approach used in this study also provides possibility that it may be useful when adapting subjective assumptions from various statistical distributions.

적외선 촬영으로 측정한 편도질환에서의 통증변화 (The Change of Pain in Tonsillar Disease Estimated by DITI)

  • Backgroud and Objectives: Because the pain is subjective in human, we frequently need the objective tool for estimation of pain. The Visual Analog Scale (VAS) is a method for pain grading, but it is also a subjective method. The purpose of this study is to seek an objective method for measurement of pain. Author suggests that the estimation of local body temperature may be associated with the severity of pain in tonsillar disease and the change of it measured by Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging (DITI), may also be correlated with the change of pain. Materials and Method : Four groups were selected and measured for VAS and body temperature in DITI. Group A and B were post-tonsillectomy groups divided by age. Group C was acute tonsillitis group. Group D was peritonsillar abscess group. Results : In Group A and B, the subjective VAS was significantly correlated with objective local body temperature (correlation coefficient r=0.673, 0.647) and significant correlation was also present in acute tonsillitis and peritonsillar abscess groups(r=0.596,0.642). Conclusion : The change of pain was strongly associated with that of local body temperature in tonsillar disease. DITI is a useful method for objective grading of pain and can be used for the study of postoperatve pain and effectiveness of pain control.

  • Microscopic examination for the morphological estimation of wear debris on the oil-lubrcated moving system is an accepted method for machine condition and fault diagnosis. However wear particle anaysis has not been widely accepted industry because it is dependent on expert interpretation of particle morphology and relies on subjective assessment criteria. This paper was undertaken to estimate the morphology of wear debris on the oil-lubricated movig system by computer image analysis. The wear test was performed under different sliding conditions using a wear test device made in our laboratory and wear testing specimen of the pin-on-disk-type was rubbed in pararline series base oil. In order to describe characteristics of debris of various shape and size, four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) have been developed and outlined in the paper. A system using such techniques promises to obviate the need for subjective, human interpretation of particle morphology in machine condition monitoring.

운전 중 실내 소음의 유형 및 강도에 따른 주관적 속도감에 관한 연구 (A Driving Study on Driver's Subjective Speed Estimation as a Function of the Vehicle Noise Types and Intensity)

  • 본 연구는 운전 중 발생하는 청각 자극의 유형 및 정도가 운전자가 지각하는 주관적 속도감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고자 수행되었다. 본 연구에서 사용된 청각 자극은 엔진 소음과 음악 소리였으며 전자는 자동차의 속도에 따라 함께 변하는 청각 단서인 반면 후자는 자동차의 속도와는 무관하게 변화하는 비단서 소음으로 사용되었다. 엔진 소음의 강도만 조작되어 제시된 실험 1에서는 엔진 소음의 크기에 따라 운전자가 느끼는 주관적 속도감이 다르게 나타나 운전자들은 엔진 소음이 작을수록 기준속도보다 더 빨리 주행한 반면 엔진 소음이 클수록 더 천천히 주행하는 것이 관찰되었다. 실험 2에서는 엔진 소음과 음악 소리를 모두 들려주었는데, 그 결과 엔진 소음의 크기변화에 따른 주관적 속도감의 차이는 여전히 나타났으나 음악 소리의 크기변화에 따른 속도감의 차이는 보이지 않았다. 또한 실험 1과 2를 통합하여 음악 소리의 유무효과를 분석해 본 결과 음악 소리가 엔진 소음을 차폐시킬 만큼 크고 엔진 소음이 작을 경우에는 음악 소리가 없는 경우보다 속도를 더 내는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 음악 소리가 속도감에 영향을 주는 직접요인은 아니지만 간접적으로 영향을 미친다는 가능성을 시사한다.

참여형 멀티미디어 시스템 사용자 감성평가를 위한 다차원 심물리학적 척도 체계 (Development of Multiple-modality Psychophysical Scaling System for Evaluating Subjective User Perception of the Participatory Multimedia System)

  • A comprehensive psychophysical scaling system, multiple-modality magnitude estimation system (MMES) has been designed to measure subjective multidimensional human perception. Unlike paper-based magnitude estimation systems, the MMES has an additional auditory peripheral cue that varies with corresponding visual magnitude. As the simplest, purely psychological case, bimodal divided-attention conditions were simulated to establish the superiority of the MMES. Subjects were given brief presentations of pairs of simultaneous stimuli consisting of visual line-lengths and auditory white-noise levels. In the visual or auditory focused-attention conditions, only the line-lengths or the noise levels perceived should be reported respectively. On the other hand, in the divided-attention conditions, both the line-lengths and the noise levels should be reported. There were no significant differences among the different attention conditions. Human performance was better when the proportion of magnitude in stimulus pairs were identically presented. The additional auditory cues in the MMES improved the correlations between the magnitude of stimuli and MMES values in the divided-attention conditions.

블라우스용 직물의 소리 특성과 태 (Sound Characteristics and Hand of Fabrics for Blouse)

  • This study was carried out to investigate sound characteristics including sound parameters and subjective sensation, and primary hand values related with sound of fabrics for blouse, and furthermore to predict subjective sound sensation with mechanical properties and sound parameters. Sound of specimens was analyzed by FFT. Level pressure of total sound(LPT), loudness(Z), coefficients of autoregressive(AR) functions for fitting the spectra, and sound color factors(ΔL and Δf) were obtained as sound parameters. Primary hand values for women's thin dress were calculated by using KES-FB. Subjective sensation for sound including softness, loudness, sharpness, clearness, roughness, highness, and pleasantness was evaluated by free modulus magnitude estimation. The results were as follows; 1. Fabrics for blouse showed similar spectral shapes to one another in that amplitude values were lower in most ranges of frequencies than fabrics for other uses. 2. It was found that fabrics for blouse were less louder because LPT, loudness(Z), and ARC values were lower than other fabrics. 3. Primary hand values indicated that specimens were soft-touched, flexible, and less crisp. Among primary hands related with sound, Shari values were higher for silk fabrics than for synthetic ones, while the values for Kishimi were similar, 4. Fabrics for blouse were rated more highly for softness, clearness, and pleasantness than for loudness, sharpness. roughness, and highness. Silk fabrics were evaluated more pleasant than synthetic fabrics. 5. Subjective sensation for sound of blouse fabrics were predicted with mechanical properties and physical sound parameters.

자동차 임팩트 소음에 대한 주관적 평가 및 차량 개발에 응용 (Estimation of Subjective Evaluations for Impact Sound and Analysis of the Effects for Parts of a Car)

  • Impact noise is induced in a car when it is driven on a harsh road or over some bumps. This noise occurs with the very high level of sound, which affects passengers in some way or other. Although it is impossible to clearly remove such noise, it is necessary to research an improvement in sound quality for impact noise. A new sound metric for impact sound is presented. This metric is verified by comparison between mean subjective ratings and several sound metrics. In this paper, more objective attributes are considered, which the attributes are expressing the level and modulation of sound. Three sound metrics are employed to get impact sound indexes for each course by the method of multiple linear regressions. The indexes are verified by considering the correlation between the estimated values from the multiple linear regressions and the mean subjective ratings by evaluators. Also, the subjective ratings on the indexes are estimated for the case in which some parts of suspension system are changed. The estimated ratings represent more reasonable or acceptable ratings. Thus, such indexes can be used for modification of the parts of suspension system under considering a good sound quality.

Edge-Preserving and Adaptive Transmission Estimation for Effective Single Image Haze Removal

  • This paper presents an effective single image haze removal using edge-preserving and adaptive transmission estimation to enhance the visibility of outdoor images vulnerable to weather and environmental conditions with computational complexity reduction. The conventional methods involve the time-consuming refinement process. The proposed transmission estimation however does not require the refinement, since it preserves the edges effectively, which selects one between the pixel-based dark channel and the patch-based dark channel in the vicinity of edges. Moreover, we propose an adaptive transmission estimation to improve the visual quality particularly in bright areas like sky. Experimental results with various hazy images represent that the proposed method is superior to the conventional methods in both subjective visual quality and computational complexity. The proposed method can be adopted to compose a haze removal module for realtime devices such as mobile devices, digital cameras, autonomous vehicles, and so on as well as PCs that have enough processing resources.

  • Estimation of damping ratio for vibration signals measured on the passenger car's seat is useful for the objective evaluation of impact harshness in car. The vibration signal is a transient signal represented by many coupled modes of suspension system. Wavelet transform automatically decouples these modes in the time-frequency domain. Damping ratios for decoupled modes are obtained by logarithmic treatment for the Wavelet transformed signal. The objective evaluation using Wavelet transform has been well corresponded with subjective evaluation done by skilled engineers.

또래관계에 대한 자기평가편향과 주관적 안녕감, 대인행동의 관계: 적정한계선 가설의 검증 (How self-estimation bias in peer relationship relates to subjective well-being and to interpersonal behaviors: Testing the optimal margin hypothesis)

  • 본 연구는 실제 또래관계에 비해 자신의 또래관계를 긍정적으로 편향되게 지각하는 경향이 주관적 안녕감 및 기본심리욕구 지지적인 대인행동과 어떠한 관계가 있는지 규명하는데 목적이 있었다. 특히 긍정적 착각의 적정한계선 가설을 검증하기 위해 자기평가편향이 이들 변인과 곡선관계가 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5, 6학년 346명을 대상으로 또래관계에 한정된 영역특수적 자기평가와 그에 상응하는 객관적 또래관계 지표인 내향중심성을 준거로 자기평가편향을 측정하였다. 연구결과, 또래관계에 대한 자기평가편향은 남학생에 비해 여학생에게서 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 자기평가편향은 부정정서와 유의미한 정적 곡선관계, 관계성지지 대인행동과 유의미한 부적 곡선관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 긍정적 착각의 적정한계선 가설이 의미하는 바와 같이, 긍정적 자기평가편향이 높을수록 부정정서는 낮고 대인관계에서 타인의 관계성 욕구를 지지하는 대인행동을 많이 하지만, 자기평가편향이 적정 수준을 넘어서면 오히려 부정정서는 높아지고 관계성 지지행동은 더 이상 증가하지 않음을 의미한다. 그러나 긍정정서, 유능성지지 대인행동, 자율성지지 대인행동에 대해 정적 선형관계를 나타낸바, 긍정적 착각의 적정한계선 가설이 모든 결과변인에 해당하는 것은 아니었다. 연구의 의의 및 후속연구를 위한 제언이 논의되었다.
