The Effect of Calcination Temperature on the Layered Li1.05Ni0.9Co0.05Ti0.05O2 for Lithium-ion Battery (리튬이온전지용 층상 Li1.05Ni0.9Co0.05Ti0.05O2에 대한 소성 온도의 영향)

  • In this study, the $Ni_{0.9}Co_{0.05}Ti_{0.05}(OH)_2$ precursor was prepared by the concentration gradient co-precipitation method. In order to overcome the structural change due to oxygen desorption in the cathode active material with high nickel content, the physical and electrochemical analysis of the cathode active material according to the calcination temperature were investigated. Physical properties of $Li_{1.05}Ni_{0.9}Co_{0.05}Ti_{0.05}O_2$ were analyzed by FE-SEM, XRD and TGA. The electrochemical performance of the coin cell using a cathode active material and $LiPF_6$(EC:EMC=1:2 vol%) electrolyte was evaluated by the initial charge/discharge efficiency, cycle retention, and rate capabilities. As a result, the initial capacity and initial efficiency of cathode materials were excellent with 244.5~247.9 mAh/g and 84.2~85.8% at the calcination temperature range of $750{\sim}760^{\circ}C$. Also, the capacity retention exhibited high stability of 97.8~99.1% after 50cycles.

Sub- Breaking Analysis of Free Surface Flows by the Numerical Simulation (수치 시뮬레이션을 통한 자유표면 유동의 Sub-Breaking 해석)

  • The free-surface flow is simulated to make clear the viscous interaction of stem waves and the sub-breaking phenomena around a high speed vehicle. The Navier-Stokes equation is solved by a finite difference method where the body-fitted coordinate system, the wall function and the triple-grid system are invoked They are applied to study precisely on the stem flow of S-103 as to which extensive experimental data are available. Computations are extended to the submerged revolutional body. The numerical result shows that the gradient of M/Us is greatly influenced by the submerged depth And the stem wave is influenced by the separation due to the bow wave.

Growth parameters and formation of slip plane in ZnWO4 single crystals by the Czochralski method

  • Single crystals of $ZnWO_4$ were grown successfully in the [100], [010] and [001] directions using the Czochralski method. The growth parameters and the formation of slip plane in $ZnWO_4$ crystals were studied. $ZnWO_4$ crystals had a cleavage plane of (010). The dislocation density on the (010) plane at the center of the crystal was lower than that of the edge region. It was inferred that the high density at the edge of the crystals was caused by the thermal gradient during crystal growth. The etch pit arrangement revealed the (100) slip plane to be most active during crystal growth.

  • Single crystalline $In_xGa_{1-x}As$ nanowires are grown on Si (111) substrate via Vapor-Liquid-Solid growth mode using metal-organic chemical vapor deposition. The ternary nanowires have been grown with various growth conditions and examined by electron microscopy. The alloy compositions of the nanowires has been investigated using Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. We have found that the composition gradient of the nanowire becomes larger with growth temperature and V/III ratio.

  • 3D printing technology is a processing technology in which 3D structures are formed by fabricating multiple 2D layers of materials based on 3D designed digital data and stacking them layer by layer. Although layers are stacked using inkjet printing to release various materials, it is still rare for research to successfully form a product as an additive manufacture of multi-materials. In this study, dispersion conditions are optimized by adding a dispersant to an acrylic monomer suitable for inkjet printing using Co3O4 and Al2O3. 3D structures having continuous composition composed of a different ceramic material are manufactured by printing using two UV curable ceramic inks whose optimization is advanced. After the heat treatment, the produced structure is checked for the formation and color of the desired crystals by comparing the crystalline analysis according to the characteristics of each part of the structure with ceramic pigments made by solid phase synthesis method.

  • Up to now, methods for the detection of genetic alterations as single strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) or denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) have been used. It is too labor-intensive and expensive to serve for routine analysis. Moreover, lower in its sensitivity and specificity being also strongly dependent on the experience of the investigater. To improve these problems, we analysed mutation of ${\beta}_2$-adrenergic receptor gene that controls bronchial asthma by denaturing high performance liquid chromatography (DHPLC) according to ion-pair reversed phase chromatography (IP-RPC). We extracted genomic DNA from 80 asthma patients and then amplified DNA using PCR and analysed PCR product by SSCP and DHPLC. As a result, we analysed mutation frequency is 19 (23.75%) on SSCP and 25 (31.25%) on DHPLC in ${\beta}_2$-adrenergic receptor gene. We conclude that DHPLC is a fast and simple screening method rather than SSCP analysis.

  • The steady breakers at an infant stage are investigated through the numerical simulation. The appearing condition and characteristics of the sub-breaking waves are reviewed by analysing bow waves. The instability analysis is possibly done through the relationship between the free-surface curvature and circumferential force, which is obtained from the momentum equations. Navier-Stokes equations are solved by a finite difference method where the body-fitted coordinate system, the wall function and the advanced mesh system are invoked. The numerical result shows that the gradient of M/$U_s$ is greatly influenced by the Froude number and the decrease of M/$U_s$ indicates that the flows are unstable. Additionally flows with plunging or spilling are simulated successfully, but the application of breakers to the severely broken wave still remains to be settled in the future.

  • This study was carried out to confirm analytical method of residual macrolides in livestock products by LC/MS. 1. Macrolides were analyzed by LC/MS on XTerra C$\sub$18/ column with 0.1% TFA(trifluoroacetic acid)-methanol in a gradient mode as mobile phase, and that were identified by positive chemical ionization with selective ion monitoring at 50~1000 mass range. 2. Residual macrolides were extracted from tissue with acetonitrile, and the extract is purified with a Sep-pak C$\sub$18/ cartridge, and elute macrolides with 0.1M methanolic ammonium acetate. 3. The procedure confirms the presence of each macrolide at 50$\mu\textrm{g}$/kg in spiked sample.

  • 최근 성공적인 문법 오류 교정 연구들에는 복잡한 인공신경망 모델이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 모델을 훈련할 수 있는 공개 데이터는 필요에 비해 부족하여 과적합 문제를 일으킨다. 이 논문에서는 적대적 훈련 방법을 적용해 문법 오류 교정 분야의 과적합 문제를 해결하는 방법을 탐색한다. 모델의 비용을 증가시키는 경사를 이용한 fast gradient sign method(FGSM)와, 인공신경망을 이용해 모델의 비용을 증가시키기 위한 변동을 학습하는 learned perturbation method(LPM)가 실험되었다. 실험 결과, LPM은 모델 훈련에 효과가 없었으나, FGSM은 적대적 훈련을 사용하지 않은 모델보다 높은 F0.5 성능을 보이는 것이 확인되었다.

Fundamental Experiment on the Flow Characteristics inside the Exhaust Duct of Cone Calorimeter (콘 칼로리미터의 배기 덕트 내부 유동 특성 기초 실험)

  • In this study, the mass flow rate of the heat release rate equation, which is the major factor of the oxygen consumption method, was analyzed for the fundamental investigation of the cone-calorimeter (5 m length and 0.3 m diameter). The shapes of a completely empty inside, 3 mm pore diameter mesh and pore diameter 10 mm honeycomb with 0.76 porosity were constructed using the cone-calorimeter. To calculate the mass flow rate, four bi-directional probes and thermocouples were installed in a uniform position in the vertical direction of flow. The velocity gradient and flow perturbation were measured from the increase in Reynolds number. As the flow capacity increased, the speed gradient increased in all three shapes relative to the turbulence intensity. In addition, the deviation of extended uncertainty to the mass flow was completely low in the order of empty space, mesh (dp = 3 mm) and honeycomb (dp = 10 mm and 𝜖 = 0.76) at the 95% confidence level. The results can be used in designs to improve the flow stability of the cone calorimeter.
