On this earth, we usually encounter three states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Those are the states we experience directly and most often in everyday life. However, if we consider the whole universe, more than 99.99 percent of our visible universe is in plasma state. The earth is in very unusual situation in the universe, and it is great virtue to whole creatures on this planet. In the beginning of the universe, however, there was only plasma. The other stuff came later after then. The Big Bang, beginning of our universe, was dominated by high-temperature plasma. It is where we all came from, and it continues to play a major role not only in our universe but also in various industrial applications of human being.

Simple mass balance method was developed to estimate the contribution of two major fugitive dust sources in the Port of Incheon to a nearby residential area in this study. Using the relatively small number of TSP data as well as the data on mass fraction of Fe and organic materials in the sampled dust, our simplified method demonstrated its ability to estimate the contribution of each fugitive source to a specific location including the residential area with relatively reasonable accuracy. It is clear from this simple method can be applied to the situation where two major fugitive dust sources are responsible for the high TSP concentration around the source area and there are clear marker chemicals representing the characteristics of the fugitive dust sources.

The optical disk drive is a basic option on the PC now. So the lower price and higher read/write speed goods are now on market. These trends make many difficulties to produce more reliable drives, comparing when they are treated as high price stuff. In mechanical terms, the lower price and higher read/write speed drive make higher vibration and noise, lower stiffness, even severe fracture of cheap and low quality disk, problems. Due to the internal crash of P/U inside of the drive, the failure of drives, inferior drives, increase more and more by the careless transportation and the originated low stiffness parts. This report is the introduction of the FE simple model to decrease the internal P/U crash problems, and the results.

Saururus-chinensis was used for the natural due stuff extraction and concentration to produce the condensed dye liquid. Using this liquid, the silk and the cotton fabrics were dyed. And then the K/S value, color difference were measured in order to determine the dye ability and the antimicrobial activity. The K/S values of silk were much higher than those of cotton. In terms of the silk fabric, the Al, Cr-premordanting and Fe, Cu-simmordanting method was most efficient of the mordanting method. The various suface colors on the dyed fabric were resulted according to used mordants and mordanting methods. The dye fastness was significantly improved when mordants were added. Among them, Al-mordant improved more than 1 level. The Cu, Fe-mordants showed the greatest antimicrobial activity on both of mordant treat silk and cotton.

As hotel industry is growing more and more with increasing income and free time, departments of Rooms and Food & Beverage(F&B) in hotels are getting more important. Especially F & B department in hotel has been playing an important role in marking 39.9% of total revenue. It is certain that F & B will be more crucial. The printed menu is an extremely important marketing tool in order to increase profits. A well-designed and well-produced menu can afford to promote efficiencies in the kitchen, to get practical service system, to save the time and to provide customers with good food. A well-designed menu can also draw to reduce expenditure on wage and food stuff.

In this paper, a new method for color measuring is presented using fuzzy modeling technique. The fuzzy and polynomial inferences are used for obtaining RGB characteristic curve. The eight RGB real data from expert dye-stuff manufacturer, are simulated. The results show that the proposed method is more excellent than other methods, in the color measuring process of textile field.

This study is on the method of direct transaction with farmers, a farmers' group and consumers through internet. Approximately the method in this study could be divided into 4 sections: 1) full information display about agricultural products of farmers, farmers' group, 2) consumers' choice about the best stuff, 3) direct transaction system by using tele-banking and 4) a delivery system in conveying method or an interview type electronic commerce system that carry out the direct visit These methods are to make the merits of the existing traditional type commerce system's to be maximized to make bull use of electronic commerce system.

To enhance the scalability of high performance packet switches, a two-stage load-balanced switch has recently been introduced, in which each stage uses a deterministic sequence of configurations. The switch is simple to make scalable and has been proven to provide 100% throughput. However, the load-balanced switch may mis-sequence the packets. In this paper, we propose an algorithm called full frame stuff (FFS), which maintains packet order in the two-stage load-balanced switch and has excellent switching performance. This algorithm is distributed and each port can operate independently.

Stuff threshold modulation(STM) technique is analyzed as method for reducing pointer adjustment jitter. The method for jitter reduction is described, and simulation results are presented to illustrate rms jitter performance. The results show that rms jitter value decrease to less than 50％ as compared to a conventional pointer adjustment system.

Urine analysis is one of the most important medical examination in the hospital. Not only the data for the ingredients of urine through chemical analysis, but also the data related to fluid dynamics, e.g., peak flow rate, average flow rate, may provide some useful information about patient's state of health. Therefore, we develop the portable system to measure and analyse fluid volume/flow rate in this study. This system can store and print the measured data during the pre-specified time interval, and provide some meaningful data related with fluid dynamics. We explain the method and the technical stuff to implement the system, and show the result.
