  • Since social network service (SNS) has been widely used as a effective way for people to connect and communication with each other, the use of corporate SNS account also has increased. However, compared to a private SNS account, only few people have a continuous relationship with their corporate SNS account because the use of corporate SNS account tends to be one-time and temporary activity whenever the users just need events and information. Given the psychological side effects of using SNS, the relative lack of empirical studies on the impacts of emotional factor in SNS prevents the deeper understanding of the intention to continuous using corporate SNS account. Therefore, this study aims to explore key determinants of the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account from a habit and emotional perspective. To bridge research gap, we attempt to divide emotional factor into the following 5 factors based on Mehrabian and Russell model (1974): intimacy, enjoyment (positive factor), privacy concern, anxiety (negative factor), arousal (arousal factor) and (dominant factor). The basic model is proposed to explore the effects of habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. We then examine how the effects of habit and emotional factors differ depending on social media types (e.g., facebook and twitter). The results indicates that habit is related to emotional factors, and each emotional factor differently influences the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. The results also confirm that the effects of the habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account differ according to social media types. This study provides practical and useful guidance and the strategic marketing insight for managers in maintaining and improving the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account.

  • Trichotillomania is a neuropsychiatric disorder characterized by repetitive pulling out of one's hair. We present a trichotillomania case study illustrating the effectiveness of habit reversal training, which has recently been found, in western countries, to be a very effective cognitive behavioral treatment. The refractory patient in our study had previously received 1 year of drug treatment and psychiatric consultation for the disorder. We administered 10 habit reversal training sessions, which was followed by an obvious improvement in the patient's trichotillomania symptoms. Our observations indicate that habit reversal training might be effective in the treatment of trichotillomania.

  • In this study was made a survey of the dietary habit with too many likes and dislikes (one-sided dietary habit) of first grade primary school children on 1098 primary school children, in an attempt to provide data for an efficient nutrition management for children. The results of the survey were interpreted in term of the standard of education and the state of employment of the children's mothers, the standard of living, sex, the number of sibling, the order of birth, whether or not living together with grandmother, and the breast feeding period. From the results of this study it seems that the overprotection by mothers leads the children to one-sided dietary habit. The mothers listed the lack of nutrition knowledge and the lack of efforts for meal management as major reasons for that they failed to help their children form a good dietary habits.

  • The purpose of this paper is to model price formation and analyze demand structures for fishes under the restriction of Korean fisheries regulations. This study suggests the model that the price of fish is formed by its quantity, expenditure, and habit persistence. In economic literature, such a fishery market demand is called the inverse demand with dynamic habit persistence. Based upon a static differential price formation model, the paper has generalized it dynamically incorporating habit persistence effects. The empirical results show that all the species have values less than one and (-) sign of price flexibilities, thus being price inflexible. The estimated habit adjustment coefficients are significant at the level of 1%. Especially, TAC species have the smaller values of them than those of other main fish species. The contribution and results are summarized as follows. First, the fishery market demand has a strong dynamic effects from habit persistence. Second, the fishery market demand structure could be analyzed in a way different from the ordinary demand analysis, which is based upon price flexibility, scale flexibility, and cross adjustment flexibility. Third, the limitation of this paper is that it ignores the increasing stock effects by catching restrictions, thus raising consumers' benefit in the future.

  • This study was performed to investigate the relationships among personality preferences, dietary habit and nutrient intake of University students (n=283). Mean dietary habit score was similar between sexes and was 46.1/100 in male students and 45.1/100 in female students. Average energy intake of male students was 2,019 kcal (80.8% of RDA) and that of female students was 1,675 kcal (83.7%). Male students were taking less than 90% of RDA in calcium and vitamin $B_2$ and female students were taking less than 90% of RDA in calcium, iron, vitamin C, and vitamin A. Students preferring Judgment had significantly higher dietary habit score than students preferring Perception. Extraversion had higher nutrient intake than Introversion both in male and female students. Male students preferring Feeling had also higher nutrient intake than students preferring Thinking. Nutrient density per 1,000 kcal was higher in Thinking and Judgment than Feeling and Perception. In conclusion, students preferring Judgment and Extraversion have better dietary habit and nutrient intake than those preferring Perception and Introversion. More studies are necessary between personality preferences and dietary behavior to contribute to effective nutrition education and counseling.

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine correlation between temporomandibular disorder and oral habits that have been known to cause temporomandibular disorder with both male and female undergraduates. Methods: To figure out correlation between temporomandibular disorder and oral habits, a survey was conducted to 500 students of two universities located in Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do, and excluding the ones unreliably answered or indicating errors, total 427 (85.4%) out of 500 questionnaire sheets were used for final analysis. Results: Female students showed higher prevalence rates than male students in temporomandibular joint pain and temporomandibular joint clicking, and students having the lip biting habit, tongue thrust habit, or bruxism habit indicated a higher prevalence rate of temporomandibular joint pain than normal students. Also, students having the tongue thrust habit indicated a significantly higher prevalence rate of temporomandibular joint clicking than normal students not having it. And about trismus, students having the bruxism habit showed a significantly higher prevalence rate than normal students not having it. Conclusion: The findings imply that oral habits like lip biting, tongue thrust, or bruxism are closely related with temporomandibular joint pain, tongue thrust influences temporomandibular joint clicking, and bruxism does affect trismus.

  • This study evaluated 23 elderly residents living independently in 4 group homes for their behaviors of space occupancy and activities of daily living. The aim of the study was to analysis the habit of space occupancy of residents in group homes for elderly people. As the results, the habit of space occupancy of residents in group homes was analysed and categorized into four types: (1) bedroom occupancy, (2) common space occupancy, (3) 2-space occupancy and (4) several spaces occupancy. It was shown, then, that the common space occupancy in ‘ㅂ' group home, 2-space occupancy and several spaces occupancy in 'ㅇ' and 'ㄱ' group homes, and bedroom occupancy in ‘ㅅ' group home were highest, respectively, so that the type of their space occupancy varied in accordance with individual group homes. Moreover, there was a difference in the habit of their space occupancy according to the degree of achieving both ADL and IADL. This fact seems to indicate that the higher the degree of their independence in ADL and IADL, the more the number of their occupying space. Accordingly, the degree of their independence in achieving ADL and IADL should be taken into account in planning residential spaces for elderly people, including individual and commonly sharing spaces, traffic lines, layout and facilities.

  • Smart phones play a significant part in the evolution IT industry. In domestic market, smart phones have grown rapidly. However, until today, precedent studies on smart phones, particularly about the reason why consumers use smart phones are uncommon. Thus, in this study we adopted IS continuance and habit theory to study smart phones' use behavior. The results reveal that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, satisfaction of smart phone usage, continuous use, and habit showed the causes and effects relationships. The results indicated that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use had a positive effect on smart phone user satisfaction. Moreover, smart phone user satisfaction had a positive effect on the smart phone habits and explorative use. However, smart phone user satisfaction showed insignificant effect toward exploitive use. That is, satisfied users regularly use the smart phone but need to formulate habit of use, and then influence exploitive use. Habit showed a positive effect on both exploitive use and explorative use, Finally, we found that users are likely to pay more attention on new features of smart phones while they are using the devices.
