An Empirical Study of Students' Start-Up Activities: Integrated Approach of Student-Focused Cognitive Model and Supportive Activities of University (대학생 창업활동에 대한 실증적 연구 : 대학생 중심의 인지적 모델과 대학지원의 통합적 접근)

  • The basic purpose of this study is to examine the relationship among entrepreneurial intention, university supports for startup, and startup activities of university students. For the study, we identified the influence factors of students' startup intention based on reviewing preceding studies and examined how these factors affect their intention of new venture startup. In addition, this study attempted to examine how these factors that can have a significant impact on entrepreneurial intention affect startup activities and analyzed how entrepreneurial intention would mediate the relationship between these influence factors and startup activities. A total of 769 students who chosen by random were surveyed and all questionnaires were sent by mail to the universities that entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial programs were selected as the forerunners from the government. As a result, this study revealed that student's psychological traits such as entrepreneurial self-efficacy and risk-taking have significant effect on the intention of startup. And student's exposure to the role models and various entrepreneurial experiences such as entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial student's club in the university has significantly positive influence on the intention of startup. This study also found that the effects of these explanatory variables of this research on startup activities have been partially mediated by entrepreneurial intention. The entrepreneurial intention was also proven to have a significant effect on startup activities. Finally, the extent to which university supports activities for students' startup moderated the relationship between entrepreneurial intention and university students' startup activities. We believe that these results of this study contribute to the understanding of the entrepreneurship process both theoretical and practical perspectives.

The Effect of Satisfaction of Entrepreneurship Education on Successful Entrepreneurship

  • Recently, many policies and fairs have been made in relation to start-ups. In addition, various start-up education for prospective start-ups is being conducted in various ways. Therefore, these days, the number of prospective start-ups who receive such information and start-up education is increasing. Nevertheless, more and more start-ups are still unsuccessful and close their businesses within months or years. In particular, start-ups who continue to maintain their start-ups also see the unfortunate reality of start-ups that find other jobs in various support systems and related policies and relationships that they cannot quit even if they want to. In this study, based on previous studies, factors for satisfaction with entrepreneurship education will be set and a questionnaire will be conducted for prospective entrepreneurs who have completed education at a startup education center in Seoul. The survey results are intended to verify their reliability and validity through empirical analysis. The SPSS statistical package will be used for analysis, and a total of 200 copies of the questionnaire will be distributed and collected. In this study, it was confirmed that the higher the satisfaction with entrepreneurship education, the better the successful entrepreneurship. In addition, I think that further developing various policies or detailed curriculums for entrepreneurship education will be of great help to prospective entrepreneurs taking entrepreneurship education.

  • Today's universities are adding economic development to their more traditional mandates of teaching and research. According, the need to foster student entrepreneurship has become increasingly important. The main aim of this research is to examine the effect of entrepreneurial education and various programs within the universities on students' entrepreneurial intentions and interests. The sample for this research majored mainly on the students who are attending the 18 universities, where entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial programs were selected as the leading ones from the government. The data was obtained from the questionnaire distributed to the students of those universities. A total number of 1,000 questionnaires were distributed and 735 were retrieved back. Descriptive and chi-square analysis using the SPSS were considered most appropriate for the data analysis of the study used. The results of the analysis revealed that student's exposure to entrepreneurship education and various entrepreneurial programs have a important influence on the students' entrepreneurial intentions and interests. Examining the impact of entrepreneurial education and programs on students' entrepreneurial activities tends to raise or provide some useful insights into some theoretical issues on one hand. And on the other hand, it raises some practical implications for policy makers both in the government and universities.

  • Purpose - Due to the outbreak and spread of COVID-19, companies have reduced their hiring needs in the short term, reducing employment opportunities for most university students and putting pressure on their employment since 2019. This study aims to improve university students' employment options and increase the possibility of entrepreneurship. Design/methodology/approach - In this study, a research survey is conducted on 4-year Chinese university students who have received entrepreneurship education courses, and statistical tests are conducted using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS 3.3 model 1. The main focus of the study is on the effects of risk perception and five personality factors on entrepreneurial intentions of Chinese university students and the effect of entrepreneurship education on the moderation of entrepreneurial intentions. Findings - The results of the study show that the risk perception of Chinese university students have a significant effect on the will to start a business. Five personality factors have a significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions. Entrepreneurship education has a moderating role in the relationship between risk perception and entrepreneurial intention, and the entrepreneurship education support has a moderating role in the relationship between the influence of five personality factors and entrepreneurial intentions. Research implications or Originality - The results of the study reveal that Chinese university students' exposure to entrepreneurship education support positively influenced entrepreneurial intentions. Such results imply that university students gain information and knowledge related to entrepreneurship through the entrepreneurship education support, which leads to positive perceptions and motivation towards entrepreneurship.

  • About 500 Bizcool High School will be designated by the year of 2017. The policy of designating Bizcool will promote startup club activity among Bizcool high school Student. In particular, the startup club activities will help Bizcool high school student fixing their career path after graduation by enhancing their creativity, leadership, team spirit, and problem solving ability through understanding the concept of entrepreneurship and embodying the startup process taking real startup experience. Hence, this paper set and test hypothesis of assuming the differences with respect to entrepreneurship will and maturing career path whether they have startup club activity as presenting Bizcool high school or not. The empirical test have bee done over 274 Bizcool high school students. The result have shown that significant level of differences(Determinants and Confidence) are found between the group of having startup club activity and those of not having.

  • In the past, manufacturing-oriented industries focused on improving labor productivity to achieve economic growth. Korea is changing from a labor-intensive industry to a technology-intensive industry in order to occupy a competitive edge compared to other countries. Recently, a lot of investment has been made not only in technology-intensive industries but also in information industries. Therefore, it is developing in various forms such as special technology, platform industry, and virtual reality as a technology-intensive industry and information industry field. In this social phenomenon, the necessity of starting a business using new ideas and technologies is increasing. Therefore, universities also need entrepreneurship education for their students, and it is necessary to investigate how the contents of the university's start-up education support, individual achievement needs, and the degree of acquisition of start-up knowledge affect the establishment of business strategies necessary for start-ups.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of undergraduates' Big 5 personality on entrepreneurship. Particularly, this author has verified if immersion and self-efficacy have mediating effects in it. According to the results, first, undergraduates' Big 5 personality are found to exert effects on entrepreneurship. Second, there is difference found in the influence of Big 5 personality on self-efficacy. Third, Big 5 personality and a parameter, self-efficacy, have all significant influence on entrepreneurship. Also, in all the models, the parameter of self-efficacy has partly mediating effects in correlation between Big 5 personality and entrepreneurship. Based on these results, this researcher here suggests implications and provides suggestions for follow-up research.

  • This study examines that how the effect of hackaton program on the willingness of entrepreneurship. In addition, this study is to examine the moderating effect of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial Motivation and team culture. The results show that hackaton program has significant impact on the willingness of entrepreneurship. The three key elements such as entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial motivation and team culture that were expected to have a moderating effect on the entrepreneurial intend. but result of this study that just entrepreneurship motivation and team culture have moderating effect for the change in the degree of the willingness of entrepreneurship.

Influence of College Students' and Parents' Interest of Entrepreneurship on Intention (대학생과 부모의 창업관심이 창업의도에 미치는 영향)

  • By identifying the relationship between Interest of Entrepreneurship and intention, this study clarifies the entire lifecycle process leading up to a college student's decision to start a business. We explore whether an individual's Interest of Entrepreneurship stemming from start-up activities and the interest of parents toward their children's start-up affect start-up intention. For this purpose, attitude toward start-up, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control, which are components of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), were set as parameters. Furthermore, start-up self-efficacy was established as a moderating variable to examine the relationships between factors and their importance. In addition, survey questionnaires were collected from 300 college students in Korea, and after excluding 18 insincere responses, a total of 282 were analyzed using SPSS 26 and AMOS 26. The main findings are as follows. First, an individual's Interest of Entrepreneurship has a significant impact on start-up intention, mediated by attitude toward start-up, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. Therefore, future college start-up education should apply the components of TPB to enhance its effectiveness, and various start-up activities should be provided to foster students' interest. Secondly, parents' interest in start-up has a significant impact on subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. Therefore, even if parents are interested in their children's start-up activities, such interest does not necessarily lead to favorable attitude. However, as it significantly impacts subjective norms and perceived behavioral control, start-up education targeting parents linked to these parameters could increase college students' Interest of Entrepreneurship and intentions.

  • The government set up "national happiness, the hope of a new era of national vision under' job center of the creative economy" to achieve by national goals in the first and figure achieved through the establishment of new growth engines of the youth unemployment problem solve and national level there are a number of business start-up support. September 8, 2015 announced the Government's look at the '2016 Year of the budget, the government for new growth engines greatly promoted the venture entrepreneurship ecosystem revitalization and research and development (R & D) the business for enhanced performance in 2017. According to the direction of this study is to evaluate the current creative economy business incubator at the comparison whether the correct orientation mainly entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs preliminary recognition of student entrepreneurship ecosystem. Entrepreneurs 113 people in that way, 71 people pre-entrepreneurs, students 60, workers were founding agencies conducted an online survey of 47 people, 16 people Investors, 50 public and 11 additional persons including a total of 368 people. This study is in line with the orientation of these entrepreneurs to create economic status and recognition of the Republic of Korea entrepreneurship ecosystem, pre- entrepreneurs, students will examine the comparative analysis around. Analysis, social perception of entrepreneurship is somewhat higher than it was confirmed that the negative response of 32.2% to 36.3% of positive response. Social awareness of entrepreneurs showed a 2-fold higher response rate than the negative of response of 17.1% to 41.7% responding that positive recognition for the current start-up environment is bad, the response is good response to higher response rate than 23.5% to 41.1% It showed. The percentage of responses that better respect the entrepreneurship environment of the future Republic of Korea showed a higher response rate than the rate of 23% in response to deteriorate to 41.2%, with 52.9% awareness is the percentage that responded that the bad part about the ruthless Korea's entrepreneurship environment in China good part as response rate approximately three times greater than the 17.7% showed high response rates. Social awareness of entrepreneurs experience the presence of the founding start-up experience was confirmed that the more negative the number increases, the more the contrary the number of start-up experience increased awareness of the current and future environment of entrepreneurship was identified as a positive entrepreneurship environment. Future studies need to be a proposal for an existing previous studies for more precise direction to go forth to analyze the entrepreneurship ecosystem with a focus on problems and improvement of the Republic of Korea entrepreneurship ecosystem.
