It has been suggested that few studies were completed on psychological aspect of coffee drinking behavior though coffee researches have been mainly focused on marketing or business purposes. In this study, fifteen university students were participated to a group interview for concept mapping analysis asking about their meaning and purpose of coffee drinking behavior. Sixty nine statements were extracted from the interview, and categorized into seven clusters using multi dimensional scaling analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis. Seven clusters were Personal method of getting the desired physical effect, As a method of social activities, Method to get psychological consolation, Drink for spending time and using space, Habitual drink and use of caffeine's effect, Enjoying coffee's various characteristic and attraction, and Enjoying coffee's various characteristic and attraction. Two factors were identified based on these clusters such as internal-external motivation to drink coffee and emotional-physical effect of coffee. Participants ranked their priority of those clusters; the cluster of "Drink for spending time and using space" was first ranked. Limitations and suggestions for future research were also discussed.
The purpose of this study was to analyze various factors that influence the academic life of students through a theoretical review. As a result of the analysis, sub-factors were derived to diagnose the factors. From the study's findings, principles and models for developing learning status diagnosis tools were designed. The study first, based upon the competencies of university students, university life, students' low academic achievement, and academic probation studies, confirmed what factors affect student learning and from them derived a set of sub-factors. The setting dimension was divided into psychology, learning, and career factors, while also including a factor of faith for Christian university students. Next, in the draft model, sub-factors were constructed for each factor: faith maturity and faith training in the faith factor, positive thinking, emotion regulation, and self-esteem in the psychology factor, self-directed learning ability, learning motivation, and learning strategies in the learning factor, and career reflection, career exploration, career management, and career barriers in the career factor. By using the Delphi method, the final model of learning status diagnosis was confirmed. As a result, we completed the model comprised of nine sub-factors in four parts. A follow-up study should be conducted that examines learning status diagnosis tools development research.

Students in the field of architectural design, form and design of the new learning process, and in the design of a very premiere. Perhaps one way of theoretical training and strict discipline academy will probably already be familiar with. In addition to academic activities rather passive liberal arts students, learning basic academic skills than students, vocational students lag is most. However, these have been popular with young sensibility popular consensus here and he has the potential to move actively. This is very sporadic but does not control the many, it's even the potential fragmentation of consciousness, because they themselves do not know a lot of parts. Therefore, the power embodied in the design process and disclose the outside, it fits in the design field to produce results. And designed to improve learning ability and motivation to want to promote. Accordingly, this research through the following four methods to test the methodology on the basis of the results and try to find solutions to problems. (1) Outside the student's latent ability to express emotion should be. (2) Students' interests are actively utilized in the design classes. (3) Analysis of individual interests and ideas, and how to take advantage of the design process that is induced. (4) The final work should express your own personality into the design. Through this, students' academic motivation and a positive vision of the direction of design is proposed.
In Korea, the lower elementary grades are applying a topic-oriented integrated curriculum. It causes a lack of science content and inquiry experience for young children. The purpose of this study is to understand the scientific experiences and perceptions of the lower elementary graders and to inquire about the meaning of those experiences in their science learning. Four students (male 2, female 2), their parents, and their first-year homeroom teachers participated in the study. The data collection was mainly conducted through in-depth interview of them. Results showed that the 'experiments' were the student's the main perception of science, and the epistemic emotion that students mainly feel about science was 'curiousness'. Since most experiences were dependent on non-formal educational experience, the parents were an important factor to determine their experiences about science. Various factors, such as students' scientific experiences, their epistemic emotions, and the parents, interacted to form children's perception of science. The positive perception of science affected the level of motivation and expectation for science learning as the third grade. It is suggested that improvement of curriculum and textbooks should emphasize scientific exploration for the lower graders of elementary school, which provides them meaningful scientific experience in school.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between family strength and career decision-making difficulties and the mediating effect or career self-regulation. The results of the present study suggested the significance of family strength and career self-regulation in understanding career decision-making difficulties. With 172 Korean college students, there were both significant direct and indirect effects from family strength to career decision-making difficulties. Specifically, the mediation roles of career self-regulation was confirmed. Comparing the partial mediation model with full mediation model, the partial mediation model fits better with the data. These results have significant clinical implication that counseling practitioners need to address the possible influence of family strength on college student's perceived difficulties in career decision-making process and to assist students develop appropriate level of competencies of regulating one's emotion, thoughts, and behavior related to career problems.
This thesis is aimed to understand when and how elementary teachers scold their students and to explore any common psychological factors shown in the process. In order to produce the meaningful results of the research, applied is experience-based analysing method which expectedly leads to discovering psychological cause and effect occurring when school teachers scold students. 11 teachers of elementary school, including me the author, have joined as co-researchers to solve the next two issues and I made guidelines for the analysis. Given that co-researchers are locally scattered, they were grouped into three and in the mean time, analysis on scolding during 4 meeting sessions were made. The results of research problems are as follows. First issue: What common psychological factors exist in when and how teachers scold students? Common factors in 'when' part include three cases: teachers discovering the factors hindering student's desirable growth, noticing the class rules and peaceful communities are broken, or experiencing humiliating remarks and annoying behaviors and In "how' part, on the other hand, teachers speak up in a stronger voice or raise their tone to point out student's wrongdoing and give students a stoic and fierce look. Second issue: What psychological development takes place in scolding? Teachers who participated in this scolding experiment have experienced' feeling responsible and upset'. Feeling responsible is highly likely to be interpreted to result from the idea that teachers supposedly support students to grow into well-functional person in society. Meanwhile, feeling upset or even humiliated is caused by the frustration when they find their authority and dignity Ignored and damaged. The phases teachers go through during the scolding are: recognizing scold-inviting situation-> interpreting clues deserving enough to scold-> being aroused into the feelings-> deciding how to respond-> executing decision-> dealing with emotion. This thesis has distinctive qualities from existing ones in that the research focuses on agonies and conflicts faced with school teachers in class. On top of that, it is noted that this thesis meaningfully enables to realize teachers' psychological mechanism activated from scolding and to provide teachers with opportunities to see themselves more proper perspectives. However, there still remains some reservation since I had rather short period of time to collect data and we, co-researchers, had meeting sessions. To compensate for the possible shortcomings shown in this thesis, further research is expected to be followed to perform a practical analysis.

In this study, we developed and examined the validity and reliability of the Test for Indicators of Positive Experiences about Science (TIPES) that measures students' positive experiences about science. We have developed TIPES through literature reviews, development of the preliminary version of TIPES, a pilot test and revisions of the preliminary version, and the test of the final version. Through literature reviews and Delpi methods, we developed the preliminary version of TIPES, which consists of five categories such as science academic emotion, science-related self-concept, science learning motivation, science-related career aspiration, and science-related attitude. Using the preliminary version, we conducted a pilot test with 198 students consisting of 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th graders, and modified the first version based on the results from the pilot test and expert meetings. We then conducted a main test with the revised version of TIPES with 1,841 students consisting of 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th graders. According to a confirmatory factor analysis, a reliability test and descriptive statistics analyses, TIPES found to have a good validity as well as reliability. In addition, there are statistically significant differences in the norm distribution and scores of TIPES by student's grade, gender, school location, and level of participation in science-related activities. Discussed in the conclusion are the implications of this research for science education research and science teaching and learning practices in the school.

The aim of this study was to find the effects of open-ended problems on mathematical creativity and brain function. In this study, one class of first grade students were allocated randomly into two groups. Each group solved different problems. The experimental group solved the open-ended problems and the comparison group solved the closed-problems. Mathematical creativity was tested by the paper test. And Brain function was tested by an EEG(electroencephalogram) tester. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, this study analyzed how the open-ended problems are effective on mathematical creativity. This analysis showed that it had a meaningful influence on the mathematical creativity(p=0.46). Accordingly, we could find out that open-ended problems make the student connect the mathematical concept and idea and think variously. Secondly, this study analyzed the effect of open-ended problems on brain function. This analysis showed that it did not have a meaningful influence on the brain function(p=.073) statistically but the experimental group's evaluation was higher than comparison groups' at the post-test. It also had a meaningful influence on the brain attention quotient(left) (p=.007), attention quotient(right) (p=.023) and emotion tendency quotient(p=.025). As a result of such tests, we could find out that open-ended problems are effective on brain function, especially on the attention ability. With the use of the open-ended problems, students could show quick understanding and response. An emotion tendency is also developed in the process. Because various answers are accepted, the students gain an internal reward at the process of finding an answer. Putting the above results together, we could find that open-ended problem is effective on mathematical creativity and brain function.
The purpose of this study was to develop understanding-oriented materials based on backward course design model and analyze their effects on 'biology and environment' unit of elementary school science. Backward Design starts from a specification of learning outcomes and decisions on methodology and syllabus are developed from the learning outcomes. This method has a strength maintaining consistency between educational contents-evaluation-learning activities and also promoting student's authentic understanding. The 78 students 6th graders participated in this experiments. Data was collected using project activities, the science academic emotion scale and academic achievement. The collected data was analyzed by t-test and ANCOVA analysis using the SPSS 23 statistical program. The following major conclusions were drawn on the basis of data analysis. First, the experimental group showed a relatively accurate understanding of the contents of science but they could not produce creative output in two project activities. Second, the interaction effect of the instruction based on backward curriculum design and science academic emotion was not significant statistically. Third, the experimental group showed a significant improvement in the academic achievement of 'biology and environment' unit.

The poetic symbolism having these characters appears personal symbol of poet as combined with creative imagination, and is experienced poetic meaning as combined with creative imagination of reader. The moral instruction as a poetic symbolism offers learning experience similar to poetic experience. The moral instruction as a poetic symbolism would be constructed not a logical or prosaic explain but symbolic form that can draw various moral meaning. For this construction, first, we might find a symbolic media for materialization of teaching contents. Second, moral teaching should be constructed to be searching moral meaning of symbolic media. Third, moral teaching should be constructed to be interpreting moral meaning of symbolic media. When teacher can construct moral instruction as possible as similar to poetic symbolism, student can learn moral meaning combined with emotion through their response and interpretation to the teaching. It is very similar to good poem that is sympathized and accommodated poet's theme by reader.
