  • The main aim of this paper is to establish a new class of integrals involving the generalized Galu$Galu{\grave{e}}$-type Struve function with the different type of polynomials such as Jacobi, Legendre, and Hermite. Also, we derive the integral formula involving Legendre, Wright generalized Bessel and generalized Hypergeometric functions. The results obtained here are general in nature and can deduce many known and new integral formulas involving the various type of polynomials.

  • The main object of this paper is to provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the generalized Struve functions of first kind to be in the classes 𝒮(k, λ) and 𝒞(k, λ). Furthermore, we give conditions for the integral operator 𝓛(m, c, z) = ∫z0(2 - up(t))dt to be in the class 𝒞*(k, λ). Several corollaries and consequences of the main results are also considered.

  • A few optical schemes for the future Russian astrometric satellite ('Struve') are discussed. New optical materials and techniques developed at the Vavilov State Optical Institute are planned to be used for the on-board telescopes. Optical characteristics of the reflecting Schmidt and a three - mirror scheme for the on-board telescopes are compared.

  • To search for the quasars at z > 7 in early universe, we are developing a optical camera which has a $1k\times1k$ deep depletion CCD chip, with later planned upgrade to HAWAII-2RG infrared array. We are going to attach the camera to the cassegrain focus of Otto Struve 2.1m telescope at McDonald observatory of University of Texas at Austin, USA. We present the design of a hardware interface to attach the CCD camera to the telescope. It consists of focal reducer, filter wheel, and guiding camera. Focal reducer is needed to reduce the long f-ratio (f/13.7) down to about 4 for wide field of view. The guiding camera design is based on that of DIAFI offset guider which developed for the McDonald 2.7m telescope.

  • McDonald 2.1m Otto Struve Telescope is located in the Davis Mountains, 450 miles west of Austin, Texas. The telescope was built in 1938, but it is still in demand today. CQUEAN (Camera for QUasar in Early uNiverse) will be attached on this telescope and perform Y-band imaging observations. Dynamics study of the telescope shows that tracking errors are 0.1 arcsec/100sec in declination direction and 0.4 arcsec/100sec in R.A. direction. In order to allow a long exposure (> a few minutes) of a target field, we are making auto-guiding system for the 2.1m telescope. The auto-guiding system of CQUEAN will be connected with TCS of the telescope. The expected number of stars on the CCD field (2.97 square arcminutes) is about 1.2 stars which are brighter than magnitude 17.5 in 2.97 square arcminutes. For more effective observation, we plan to implement moving mechanism in guiding system so that guide CCD camera can see wider off-axis fields.

  • In astronomical observations, stable auto-guiding and accurate target centering capabilities are critical to increase observation efficiency and sensitivity. Recently, Center for the Exploration of the Origin of the Universe (CEOU) has developed SQUEAN (SED camera for QUasars in EArly uNiverse). SQUEAN is installed and had successful observations at the 82 inch Otto Struve Telescope of McDonald Observatory in 2015 February. We have upgraded the existing auto-guiding softwares to KAP82 (KHU Auto-guiding Package for the McDonald 82 inch Telescope). Keeping the original hardware systems and the software algorithms of CAP (CQUEAN Auto-guiding Package), KAP 82 is completely re-written in Visual C++. We developed several center finding algorithms, e.g., 2D-gaussian fitting and weighted mean methods. In this presentation, we compare the auto-guiding performances with these algorithms.

  • CQUEAN (Camera for QUasars in EArly uNiverse) is a newly developed camera system by CEOU optimized at 0.8 - $1.1{\mu}m$ wavelength region. From Aug. 10 to Aug. 17, 2010, the camera was installed at 2.1m Otto Struve telescope at McDonald Observatory, USA, and engineering test observation was performed. We obtained the data for the characteristics of camera and scientific purpose using 7 filters (g, r, i, z, Is, Iz, Y). For the purpose of discovery of z - 5~6 quasar, we specially used new filters (Is,Iz). During the test observation, we obtained the data of Gamma-Ray Burst, high redshift quasars, high redshift quasar candidates and other calibration data. We present general characteristics of the reduced data taken with CQUEAN and show the performance of the camera.

  • CQUEAN(Camera for QUasars in EArly uNiverse) has been used at the 2.1 m Otto Struve Telescope of the McDonald Observatory since 2010. This camera is optimized at 0.7 - 1.1 um for the survey of Lyman break of high redshift (z > 5) quasars in the early universe. The current system has a filter wheel consist of seven (g', r', I', z', Y, Iz and Is) broad-band filters. We are upgrading this filter wheel to have 20 narrow band filters, with which we can take spectral energy distributions of targets. The new filter wheel consists of interchangeable cartridges for 50 mm square filters, a speed reducer unit, and a step motor. This new design of the large size filter wheel can be applied to other large format CCD cameras.

  • Camera for QUasars in EArly uNiverse (CQUEAN) is an optical CCD camera, developed by Center for Exploration of Origin of the Universe (CEOU), which is now searching for high red shift quasar candidates. It has been operated since 2010, attached to the 2.1m Otto Struve telescope at the McDonald Observatory, USA. Based on the previous operation experiences, we present CQUEAN II system design which has a new filter wheel allowing with 20 narrow band filters. In addition, the auto guiding system will be rearranged and the interfacing units between the telescope and the instrument will become stabilized.

  • Photometric reverberation mapping is an effective alternative to time consuming spectroscopy. It usually employs narrow bands to track the luminosity variations of broad emission lines, such as Balmer lines, and broadbands for the continuum variability. Here, we investigate the feasibility of substituting these for medium bands, with 50nm widths, that are currently being used on the SED Camera for QUasars in EArly uNiverse (SQUEAN) installed on the 2.1m Otto Struve Telescope at McDonald Observatory. Three targets with recent variability and/or short expected time lags were selected, and observed for 15 minutes each in the medium band containing $H{\alpha}$, and the two adjacent bands for continuum subtraction afterwards. Analysis shows that for one of the objects, SDSS J0350+0037, the pure $H{\alpha}$ emission line flux has a S/N ~ 12, so that variabilities up to ~ 8% are detectable. Thus, future observations using these medium bands on SQUEAN seem to be practical.
