It is well known that irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is related to psychological distress. However, only a few studies have investigated the relationship between IBS and various dimensions of psychological distress. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of IBS and its relationship with anxiety, depression, and stress in young female college students. A cross-sectional study was conducted using a self-report structured questionnaire with 673 female college students. IBS was diagnosed based on the Rome III criteria. For the evaluation of psychological distress on the IBS, we investigated Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and Global Assessment of Recent Stress (GARS). The prevalence of IBS was 27.9%. In the univariate analysis, the anxiety, depression, and stress scores were significantly associated with IBS (P<0.001, P=0.001, and P<0.001, respectively). Multivariate analysis showed that anxiety (OR=1.07, 95% CI=1.01~1.15, P=0.032) and stress scores (OR=1.23, 95% CI=1.19~1.27, P<0.001) were independently correlated with the IBS. Among the subtypes of IBS, IBS with predominant constipation was the most common, and the anxiety, depression, and stress scores did not significantly differ between the subtypes. Our results suggest that anxiety and stress are closely related to IBS. Managing psychological distress should be considered in the treatment of IBS in young female college students.

This study investigated development of Intention to Leave concept or model, by positioning psychological capital and gratitude, and job satisfaction as mediator to Intention to Leave. It is expected that findings contribute to Human Resource Management theories, specifically ones which are related to employee behavior. This study used qualitative approach in which survey and questionnaires were employed during data collection. This study was conducted in PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur located in Bontang, East Kalimantan. PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur was selected as the setting since it has had a lot of achievement. Population was 500 employees of PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur in Bontang, while total samples were 250. This study uses a sampling technique of proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis methods were descriptive and quantitative. Inferential statistics, namely Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA) were used to confirm model developed based on empirical data. This study showed that there is a significant and positive influence between Psychology Capital (X1) on Job Satisfaction (Y1) and Gratitude (X2) on Job Satisfaction (Y1). Gratitude is the strongest influencing variable on job satisfaction. Meanwhile, a significant but negative effect between Job Satisfaction (Y1) on Intention to Leave (Y2). This means that high job satisfaction will reduce the intention to leave.

The main aim of this research paper is to identify the factors that influence smartphone purchase intention in the Nepalese market. The study identifies how the brand personality, attribute factors, and the price factor influence the purchase intention of a smartphone. The paper puts the emphasis on how the consumer preference functions in the selection of the smartphone and which factor plays the more significant role in smartphone purchase intention. This research paper has used primary data and a 7-point Likert scale survey questionnaire. The primary data has been collected through a structured survey questionnaire by using convenient sampling technique from 294 smartphone users in the Kathmandu Valley. Descriptive statistics, Correlation Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) have been carried out to analyze the primary data using the SPSS AMOS 24. Brand personality, attribute factor, and product price were taken as independent variables to identify the impact on purchase intention. The result of the regression path analysis showed that brand personality has no significant effect on purchase intention in the purchasing of smartphone. It is also found that the product attributes and product price have a significant influence on consumer purchase intention of a smartphone in Nepal.
Purpose: This study was conducted to explore the relationships among new nurses' meaning of work, organizational commitment, professional self-image, and retention intention through path analysis. Methods: The participants were 872 nurses with less than a year of clinical experience working at general or tertiary hospitals over 500 beds in Korea. The data were collected using structured questionnaires from May 15, 2021 to June 28, 2021, and analysis was conducted using SPSS/WIN 22.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. Results: Retention intention was explained by meaning of work, organizational commitment, and professional self-image, its explanatory power was 46.5%. The mediating effect of professional self-image was found on the relationship between meaning of work and retention intention. Conclusion: To encourage the retention intention among new nurses, an environment where new nurses can set a high value on the meaning of work and sense of accomplishment should be created, and a strategy to improve organizational commitment and professional self-image should be established.
Purpose: This study attempted to systematize a support system that can enhance teaching core competencies by establishing a scale for diagnosing teaching core competencies at University A. Research design, data and methodology : To this end, the first Delphi was conducted With six experts related to university core competency modeling research by extracting factors and designing structured questionnaires through a literature review process that collects and analyzes prior research related to domestic and foreign university teaching competency. The derived questions were diagnosed on 27 professors, and independent sample t-verification and ANOVA were conducted using SPSS 24.0 for analysis by key teaching competency factors. Result: What is the standard suitability of KMO. It was shown as 929 (KMO standard conformity value is close to 1), and Barlett's sphericity verification showed χ2=5773.295, df=1081, p<.It appeared as 001 and confirmed that it was suitable for conducting factor analysis. Conclusions: The core competencies of A University teachers were set based on the educational goals of A University, such as basic teaching competency, creative teaching competency, practical teaching competency, and communication teaching competency. This means that the concept and factors of the core competency of professors are likely to change, and in the end, continuous efforts to upgrade and apply research on core competency of professors are essential to quickly and organically respond to changes in competency required to increase the competitiveness of universities.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the impacts of professional socialization perceived by nursing students on role conflict and professional self-concept. Methods: Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected from 683 nursing students. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression were conducted using SAS program. Results: The mean score of total professional socialization was 3.74 followed by the scores of 'independence', 3.98, 'commitment', 3.80, 'decision making', 3.60, and 'maturity', 3.53. The mean score of total role conflict was 3.72, and professional self-concept was 2.75. Total professional socialization, commitment, and independence perceived by nursing students were positively related to role conflict. Also total professional socialization and total subcategories of professional socialization were positively related to professional self-concept. As a result of stepwise multiple regression analysis, the key determinants of role conflict were found to be 'independence', 'motivation with admission', 'sex', 'desire with working', 'grade' and 'decision making'. The key determinants of professional self-concept were 'decision making', 'commitment', 'satisfaction about nursing', and 'interpersonal relationship'. Conclusion: Through this results, it is necessary to improve professional socialization in order to increase professional self-concept among nursing students.
Purpose: This study is to analyze the purchasing process and distribution management requirements for teaching materials that have important meaning in the practical field of preschool education. Research design, data and methodology: A structured questionnaire was used to survey 103 childcare staffs regarding the purchasing process and distribution managements. The collected data underwent Likert's 5-point scale analysis and keyword grouping. Additionally, ANOVA was conducted to examine the distribution management demands based on demographic characteristics. Results: The purchasing of teaching materials involved more offline channels than online, and the purchase decisions were predominantly made by principals rather than teachers. Although the purchasing process is similar to that of general businesses, there are difficulties in purchasing due to the disorganized distribution channels and limited accessibility to product information. Additionally, the management of inventory for teaching materials is challenging due to limited personnel and storage. Childcare staffs have requirements for classification systems, evaluation criteria, environments and policies related to teaching materials distribution. The need to introduce a teaching material evaluation and certification system to ensure quality was not high. Conclusions: Most of the respondents recognized that strict management and measures should be taken for the distribution of teaching materials. There were differences in the demand of teaching material distribution depending on the respondents' status, age, education, and experience.
Purpose: This study is to propose the establishment and direction of a public health-medical cooperation system for rehabilitation medical services for people with physical and brain disabilities in Gangneung, Korea. Research design, data and methodology: The study focused on 30 individuals with these disabilities registered. Data was collected from December 20, 2021, to December 31, 2021, through structured surveys administered by researchers visiting disability-related facilities, utilizing convenience and random sampling methods. Descriptive statistics and cross-analysis were applied for analysis. Results: Specifically, among respondents with physical disabilities, a total of 20 needs were identified, with 'Visiting health services' (25.0%) and 'Oral health services' (20.0%) ranking highest. The survey results regarding visit-based rehabilitation services for disability support showed a high demand, emphasizing the necessity of service provision tailored to the needs of recipients, focusing on disability prevention, health management, and motor function recovery, rather than solely medical or therapeutic concepts. Conclusions: Gangwon National University Hospital, as the regional referral hospital in Gangwon, should collaborate with Gangwon Province Rehabilitation Hospital to provide prompt acute rehabilitation services. Moreover, cooperation and collaboration with Gangneung Asan Hospital, the tertiary hospital in the region, are essential to ensure continued acute and recovery phase rehabilitation therapy for a certain period in the Gangneung area.
Crowdfunding has emerged as an important financing source for diverse cultural projects and commercial ventures in the early stages. Unlike traditional investment evaluation, where structured financial data is critical, such information is typically unavailable for crowdfunding campaigns. Instead, campaign creators prepare pitches containing essential information about themselves and the campaigns, which are crucial in attracting and persuading contributors. Prior literature has examined the effects of different aspects in campaign pitches, but a comprehensive understanding of the theme is lacking. This study aims to fill this gap by identifying the lexicon of frequently used vocabulary in campaign pitches and examining how they are associated with crowdfunding success. Moreover, we examine how the association differs between culture and commercial crowdfunding campaigns. We randomly collected 50,000 campaigns from the cultural and commercial categories on Kickstarter and extracted the 100 most used verbs in the campaign pitches. Based on a machine learning approach combined with principal component analysis, we constructed sets of verbal factors statistically significant in predicting crowdfunding success. The findings also show that cultural and commercial campaigns consist of different verbal components with different effects on crowdfunding success.
The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of Korean mothers in relation to parent education. Parent education was broadly defined in this study to encompass the various educational experiences that parents "try" and "undergo" both before and after becoming parents. Rather than being confined to a single program, we aimed to understand parent education as a cumulative process, comprising diverse experiences that shape parents' lives and roles. We conducted in-depth interviews with seven mothers of infants and toddlers, followed by a reflexive thematic analysis of the data. Four major themes emerged from the analysis. The first theme, "confusion about becoming a parent," describes the initial challenges of adjusting to the loss of freedom and the adaptation to new responsibilities. The second theme, "parent education through observation and experience," highlights how parents learned by observing and engaging with real-life situations before and after the birth of their children. The third theme, "active participation in purposeful parent education," focuses on structured educational programs in shaping parental roles. The final theme, "reflective thinking and personal growth through parent education," illustrates how reflective practices as a mother contributed to the parental development. This study underscores the importance of adopting a long-term perspective on parent education, recognizing the interconnected nature of parental and child development and appreciating the experiences of mothers who grow through reflective thinking.
