  • Construction industry is an aggregate of information that diverse information is integrated and controlled. To implement successful construction projects, it can be said that the information management is very important. In particular, because information of construction sites is controlled in a form of documents, importance of the document management in construction has been increased. But, by controlling information through documents, there are difficult problems in writing and classification of the documents and preservation and utilization of the information. Also, due to incompletion of the information management system, difficulty in systematic info management arises. For this reason, this study intends to suggest the document information breakdown structure for controlling document info efficiently which is generated at construction sites. For this, through the examination of preceding studies, establishment of the concept of the document info breakdown structure, the space breakdown structure, and the info breakdown structure, availability of document information is intended to heighten.

  • The main goal of this paper is to establish the management network structure by adopting TMN concept. Hence, the management network structure consists in layers; from management application layer to lower physical layer In this paper, TMN-DCN structure is designed. That means, since the current communication network technology has developed so fast and new and more diverse communication networks have appeared, There is a need to process each management information in fast manner, The design method of management network physical structure that enhances the efficiency in network management with prompt transmission and reception of management information is proposed and the architecture is designed as well. Although there is some increase in installation fee for total link that constitutes the physical structure in lower physical layer. network management can be promptly implemented since the structure that can transfer the management information fastest is proposed.

  • The purpose of this study is to find success factors of knowledge management in Korean firms, confirm them empirically, and verify their relative importance in terms of company size and industry type. The major studies on the knowledge management were deliberately selected and interpretively analyzed to find the success factors of Korean firms. As a result of the analysis, five success factors(top management's will, evaluation reward, organizational culture, knowledge management system, organizational structure) have been found. The empirical researches to make certain whether the above five factors derived are actually true or not have been separately performed by using questionnaire method. Based on the data collected, it is found that all five factors are significant. The degree of relative importance among the success factors of knowledge management in Korean firms has been found as: (i)top management's will, (ii)organizational culture, (iii)evaluation-reward, (iv)knowledge management system, (v)organizational structure. In company size, large firm's degree of relative importance among the success factors are: (i)top management's will, (ii)organizational culture, (iii)evaluation-reward, (iv)knowledge management system, (v) organizational structure. And medium-small firm's degree of relative importance among the success factors of knowledge management in Korean firms has been found as: (i)top management's will, (ii)organizational culture, (iii) evaluation-reward, (iv)knowledge management system, (v)organizational structure. Finally, in type of industry, manufactural firm's degree of relative importance among the success factors of knowledge management in Korean firms has been found as: (i)top management's will, (ii)organizational culture, (iii)evaluation-reward, (iv)knowledge management system, (v)organizational structure. And non-manufactural firm's degree of relative importance among the success factors of knowledge management in Korean firms are: (i)top management's will, (ii)organizational culture, (iii)evaluation-reward, (iv)knowledge management system, (v)organizational structure.

  • In this paper, a novel power management structure for an energy harvesting pervasive system is proposed. The system considers the power state of each subsystem to assign proper power sources. The switch matrix structure utilizes each power source to reduce the peak current of the battery. The power management structure can be interfaced to an embedded system power supply without significant design change.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand asset management behaviors and unearth the equity in marital relations examining empirically the tendency and characteristics of marital role-structure in the process of asset management. The dta of this study was collected from 370 housewives living in Seoul. The findings are as follows. 1) Marital role-structure was proved different according to the stage of asset management 2) Considering all stages of asset management process marital role structure are classified into 7 types. The 7 types was differently shown according to wives' age occupation of husbands income of husbands real estates wives' marital role-attitude and asset management knowledge.

  • In the construction industry, complex works are carried out with significant resources under non-linear circumstances where clear concepts of project management could be of benefit to all parties and personnel involved. In this paper, we define the optimum project management configuration for construction management by using DSM (Design Structure Matrix). Furthermore DSM can be visualized as a network model, and then Graph Theory provides us the numerical results.

  • Recently, many enterprises are introducing a workflow management system for the successful implementation of BPR(Business Process Reengineering). Proposed in this study is the workflow management system which has a light-weight component structure and an XPDL(XML Process Definition Language) file interpretation facility. The XPDL is the standard process definition exchange format developed by WfMC(Workflow Management Coalition). The major causes of inefficiency at current implementations of workflow management systems are the centralized workflow engine structure and the use of proprietary workflow definition format among most solutions. The proposed light-weight component structure in this study is the intermediate structure that takes the strength of both centralized and distributed workflow engines. And a prototype workflow system which uses an XPDL process definition file as input is developed through the thorough analysis of functional requirements.

  • The objective of this study is to suggest modified Covariance Structure Analysis that combine with existing Multivariate Statistical Method which is used Casual Analysis Method in Management Information. For this purpose, we'll consider special feature and limitation about Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis, Path Analysis and connect Covariance Structure Analysis with Statistical Factor Analysis so that theoretical casual model compare with variables structure in collecting data. A example is also presented to show the practical applicability of this approach.

  • Design is an act based on multidisciplinary information. The involvement of various stakeholders makes it difficult to process, plan, and integrate. Iteration is frequent in most of the engineering design and development projects including construction. Design iterations cause rework, and extra efforts are required to get the optimal sequence and to manage the projects. The simple project management techniques are insufficient to fulfill the requirements of integrated design. This paper entails two things: design structure matrix and design parameters' information based model. The emphasis has been given to optimal sequence and crucial iteration using design structure matrix analysis technique. The design projects have been studied using survey data from industry. The optimal sequence and crucial iterations results have been utilized for proposed model. Model integrates two things: information about produced- required key design parameters and information of design changes during the design process. It will help to get familiar with Design management in order to fulfill contemporary needs.

  • Many previous studies of data quality have focused on the realization and evaluation of both data value quality and data service quality. These studies revealed that poor data value quality and poor data service quality were caused by poor data structure. In this study we focus on metadata management, namely, data structure quality and introduce the data quality management maturity model as a preferred maturity model. We empirically show that data quality improves as data management matures.
