Research of color has been developed and also has raised consumer desire through changing from a tool to pursue curiosity or beauty to a tool creating effects in the 20th century. People have been interested in colors as a dynamic expression of results since the color TV appeared. The meaning of colors has been recently diversified as the roles of colors became important to the emotional aspects of design. While auto colors have developed along with such changes of the times, black led the color trend during the first half of the 20th century from 1900 to 1950, a transitional period of economic growth and world war. Since then, automobile production has increased apace with the rapid economic growth throughout the world and automobiles became the most expensive item out of the goods that people use. Accordingly, increasing production induced facility investment in mass production and a technology leveling was achieved. Auto manufacturing processes are very complicated, auto makers gradually recognized that software changes such as to colors or materials was an easier way for the improvement of brand identity as opposed to hardware changes such as the mechanical or design components of the body. Color planning and development systems were segmented in various aspects. In the segmentation issue, pigment technology and painting methods are important elements that have an influence on body colors and have a higher technical correlation with colors than in other industries. In other words, the advanced mixture of pigments is creating new body colors that have not existed previously. This diversifies the painting structure and methods and so maximizes the transparency and depth of body colors. Thus, body colors that are closely related to technical factors will increase in the future and research on color preferences by region have been systemized to cope with global competition due to the expansion and change of auto export regions.
This study conducted a survey to find out atopic dermatitis patients' required performance and preference in design factors to develop spring/summer(S/S) knitwears preferred by atopic patients. On the platform of achieved information from statistical analysis, S/S knitwear samples for atopic patients were designed and constructed with cotton/Seacell(R) blended yarn, And subjective wearing sensation were evaluated comparing the samples and the commercial products made with cotton/chitosan blended yarn, trying to help producing more comfortable S/S knitwears for atopic patients. SPSS 12.0 program was used for frequency analysis, Chi-square analysis, ANOVA, and Duncan test. The result was as follows; For comfort of S/S knitwears, atopic patients most considered skin care property. Atopic patients preferred simple and basic knitwear in light color with thin and soft fabric such as plain knit. The preferred style was that 'appropriately fit with suitable ease'. They also preferred 'closed front'; 'boat neckline' and 'V neckline'; 'raglan sleeve' and 'set-in sleeve'. For hem trim, they preferred 'rib' structure. Male preferred simple and plain style with 'round collar' and 'tubular or rib trim", while female preferred sophisticated and characteristic style with 'set-in sleeve' with 'rib trim'. Under the circumstances with insufficient functional knitwears developed, this study tried to develop comfort S/S knitwears for atopic dermatitis patients and the developed knitwears showed as good as or better performance in wearing feeling, fitting, and appearance than the previously developed functional goods.
The electrical and mechanical properties in indium-tin-oxide films deposited on polymer substrate were examined. The materials of substrates were polyethersulfone (PES) which have gas barrier layer and anti-glare coating for plastic-based devices. The experiments were performed by rf-magnetron sputtering using a special instrument and buffer layers. Therefore, we obtained a very flat polymer substrate deposited ITO film and investigated the effects of buffer layers, and the instrument. Moreover, the influences of an oxygen partial pressure and post-deposition annealing in ITO films deposited on polymer substrates were clarified. X-ray diffraction observation, measurement of electrical property, and optical microscope observation were performed for the investigation of micro-structure and electro-mechanical properties, and they indicated that as-deposited ITO thin films are amorphous and become quasi-crystalline after adjusting oxygen partial pressure and thermal annealing above $180^{\circ}C$. As a result, we obtained 20-25 ${\Omega}/sq$ of ITO films with good transmittance (above 80 %) of oxygen contents with under 0.2 % and vacuum annealing. Furthermore, using organic buffer layer, we obtained ITO films which have a rather high electrical resistance (40-45 ${\Omega}/sq$) but have improved optical (more than 85 %) and mechanical characteristics compared to the counterparts. Consequently, a prototype reflective color plastic film LCD was fabricated using the PES polymer substrates to confirm whether the ITO films could be realized in accordance with our experimental results.

In this study, we have investigated the development of the crystal growth stability and reproducibility for large and high-quality DAST. DAST crystal were grown from a saturated methanol solution by a slow cooling method and DAST was synthesized by the condensation of 4-methyl-n-methyl pyridinum tosylate, which was prepared from 4-pocoline and methyl toluenesulponate and 4-N-dimethyl amino-bezaldehyde in the presence of piperidine. We had synthesized DAST crystals in dry Argon atmosphere in order to avoid the formation of hydride organge co-crystals, DAST$.$$H_2O$. Since DAST molecules crystallize in a humid atmosphere, crystal structure become centrosymmetric, and then second order NLO (nonlinear optical) properties would be disappeared. We fixed the growth orientation of DAST crystal (001) surface. The crystal growth was proceeded at a cooling rate of $H_2O$/day and the cooling period is for 4 days. The dimensions of seed crystal was $2.5\times 3.6\times0.4\textrm{mm}^3$ and we have obtained a DAST crystal with the dimension of $10\times 10.5\times3.0\textrm{mm}^3$. The color of grown DAST crystal is red and it's surface appears to be metallic green.

Over the past several years, colloidal core/shell type quantum dots lighting-emitting diodes (QDLEDs) have been extensively studied and developed for the future of optoelectronic applications. In the work, we fabricate an inverted CdSe/ZnS quantum dot (QD) based light-emitting diodes (QDLED). In order to reduce work function of indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode for inverted structure, a very thin (<10 nm) polyethylenimine ethoxylated (PEIE) is used as surface modifier[1] instead of conventional metal oxide electron injection layer. The PEIE layer substantially reduces the work function of ITO electrodes which is estimated to be 3.08 eV by ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy (UPS). From transmission electron microscopy (TEM) study, CdSe/ZnS QDs are uniformly distributed and formed by a monolayer on PEIE layer. In this inverted QDLEDs, blend of poly (9,9-di-n-octyl-fluorene-alt-benzothiadiazolo) and poly(N,N'-bis(4-butylphenyl)-N,N'-bis(phenyl)benzidine] are used as hole transporting layer (HTL) to improve hole transporting property. At the operating voltage of 8 V, the QDLED device emitted spectrally orange color lights with high luminance up to 2450 cd/m2, and showed current efficacy of 0.6 cd/A, respectively.

As mobile robot applications increase in real life, the need of low cost autonomous driving are gradually increasing. We propose a novel vision-based real-time lane detection and tracking system that supports autonomous driving of mobile robots in constrained tracks which are designed considering indoor driving conditions of mobile robots. Considering the processing of lanes with various shapes and the pre-adjustment of operation parameters, the system structure with multi-operation modes are designed. In parameter tuning mode, thresholds of the color filter is dynamically adjusted based on the geometric property of the lane thickness. And in the unstable input mode of curved tracks and the stable input mode of straight tracks, lane feature pixels are adaptively extracted based on the geometric and temporal characteristics of the lanes and the lane model is fitted using the least-squared method. The track centerline is calculated using lane models and the motion model is simplified and tracked by a linear Kalman filter. In the driving experiments, it was confirmed that even in low-performance robot configurations, real-time processing produces the accurate autonomous driving in the constrained track.
The purpose of this study was to compare the efficiency of four different cleaning method of silk and to fabrics, which were excavated from the sixteenth century tombs. The four cleaning methods were hand washing in water and hand washing in solvent, washing in ultrasonic cleaner, and using of ultrasonic gun after washing in ultrasonic cleaner. The following is the result of the experiment: ㆍBoth silk and jute fabrics shrank the most after hand-wash in water. This cleaning method decreased their thickness the most but changed their strength the least. However, the color of the fabric changed the most after had-wash in water. This washing method might discolor the dyed fabric, so one must check the condition of the fabric thoroughly before washing it. ㆍThe weight and the thickness of the fabric changed little after ultrasonic cleaning. This cleaning method, therefore. is less efficient than hand-water-wash. The use of ultrasonic gun after ultrasonic wash for partial cleansing enhanced the efficiency a little. Nevertheless, this method left stain around the area where the gun was used, and the injected water could damage the fabric. ㆍThe excavated fabric became softer in the cleaning process as the dirt was washed away. In both cases of silk and jute fabrics cleaning, solvent made the fabric softer than water. Washed in solvent, the fabric did not swell. But water penetrated to the fiber during the cleaning process and made the fabric swell. When the water evaporates, the swollen fiber structure collapses and the fabric become stiff. Ultrasonic wash did not cause much change in the flexibility of the fabric, for this method does not remove the dirt as effectively as the other method.

As a result of resistant starch yield depending on heating temperature, moisture content, storage temperature and heating-cooling cycle with RSM (response surface methodology), high amylose corn starch (46%) was appeared higher than normal corn starch in the yield (22%). At the high amylose corn starch, optimum conditions for resistant starch formation were 6 times of heating-cooling cycle, 108$^{\circ}C$ heating temperature and 67% moisture content at the 2$0^{\circ}C$ storage temperature, which resulted in 25% yield with these experiment conditions. Affecting factor for the resistant starch formation was arranged according to heating -cooling cycle, moisture content, heating temperature and storage temperature. Raw corn starch granule was destructive and appeared a porous reticular structure by the resistant starch formation. Color became dark and increased yellowness by caramelization during heating processing. Heating-cooling processing was the result of decreased hardness, cohesiveness, springiness and gumminess.

In this study, pure $BiVO_4$ powder and metal-doped $M-BiVO_4$ (M = Mg, Cu) powder, well known as thermochromic materials, were prepared from a mixed aqueous solution of bismuth nitrate ($Bi(NO_3)_3$) and ammonium vanadate ($NH_4VO_3$) in autoclave by hydrothermal method. The crystal structure, microstructure, and thermochromic property of samples were analyzed using FE-SEM, FT-IR, XRD, DSC, UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy and colorimeter. When heating samples above phase transition temperature, the color of $M-BiVO_4$ (M = Mg, Cu) sample was thermally changed more clearly than that of using only pure $BiVO_4$ sample.

Red-emitting nitride phosphors recently attracted considerable attention because of their high thermal stability and high color rendering index properties. For excellent phosphor of white light-emitting-diode, ternary nitride phosphor of $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ with different $Eu^{2+}$ ion concentration were synthesized by solid state reaction method. In this work, red-emitting nitride $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ phosphor was successfully synthesized by using multi-step high frequency induction heat treatment. The effects of molar ratio of component and experimental conditions on luminescence property of prepared phosphors have been investigated. The structure and luminescence properties of prepared $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ phosphors were investigated by XRD and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The excitation spectra of $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ phosphors indicated broad excitation wavelength range of 300 - 550 nm, namely from UV to visible area with distinct enhanced emission peaks. With an increase of $Eu^{2+}$ ion concentration, the peak position of emission in spectra was red-shifted from 613 to 671 nm. After via multi-step heat treatment, prepared phosphor showed excellent luminescence properties, such as high emission intensity and low thermal quenching, better than commercial phosphor of $Y_3Al_5O_{12}:Ce^{3+}$. Using $Eu_2O_3$ as a raw material for $Eu^{2+}$ dopant with nitrogen gas flowing instead of using commercial EuN chemical for $Sr/SmSi_5N_8:Eu^{2+}$ synthesis is one of characteristic of this work.
