  • Crown parameters are important roles in tree species identification, because the canopy is the aggregate of all the crowns. However, crown measurements with spaceborne image data have remained more difficult than on aerial photographs since trees show more structural detail at higher resolutions. This recognized problem led to the initiation of the research to determine if high resolution satellite image data could be used to identify and classify single tree species. In this paper, shape parameters derived from pixel-based crown area measurements and texture features derived from GLCM parameters in QuickBird image were tested and compared for individual tree species identification. As expected, initial studies have shown that the crown parameters and the canopy texture parameters provided a differentiating method between coniferous trees and broad-leaved trees within the compartment(less than forest stand) for single extraction from spaceborne high resolution image.

  • 마이크로머시닝의 구조재료인 다결정 Si이 희생산화막의 영향을 받음을 고려하여 다결정 Si을 열산화시킨 다결정-산화막을 새로운 희생산화막의 재료로서 제안하고 평가하였다. 다결정-산화막상에 성장시킨 다결정 Si은 통상의 희생산화막상에 성장시키는 경우보다 grain size가 증가하였고, XRD결과를 통해 (111) texture의 증가와, 부가적인 (220) texture가 형성됨을 관찰하였다. 또한, 다결정-산화막상에 성장시킨 다결정 Si의 경우, 그 응력이 작고 균일한 분포를 나타내었다.

  • Mathematical morphology based on set theory is easy to be implemented in parallel and can be applied to various fields in image analysis. Particularly mophological pattern spectrum can detect critical scales in an image object and quantify various aspects of the shape-size content. In this paper, texture classification using pattern spectrum based on morphological subband decomposition is porposed. The low-low band extracts pattern spectrum features, and the high-low, low-high, and high-high bands extrack the structural information. This approach has the advantages of efficient information extraction, less time-consuming, high accuacy, less computation, and parallel implementation.

증착온도가 LPCVD 실리콘 박막의 물성과 전기적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of the Deposition Temperature on the Structural and Electrical Properties of LPCVD Silicon Films)

  • The material properties and the TFT characteristics fabricated on SiOS12T substrate by LPCVD using SiHS14T gas were investigated. The deposition rate showed Arrhenius behavior with an activation energy of 31Kcal/mol. And the transition temperature form amorphous to crystalline deposition was observed at 570$^{\circ}C$-580$^{\circ}C$. The strong(220) texture was observed as the deposition temperature increases. XRD analysis showed that the film texture of the as-deposited polycrystalline silicon does not change after annealing at 850$^{\circ}C$. The fabricated TFT's based on the as-deposited amorphous film showed superior electrical characteristics to those of the as-deposited polycrystalline films. It is considered that the different electrical characteristics result from the difference of flat band voltage(VS1FBT) due to the interface trap density between the gate oxide and the active channel.

Evaluation of Physicochemical Changes in Hard-Boiled Eggs Stored at Different Temperatures

  • Eggs that have been hard-boiled are frequently used as ready-to-eat food. Refrigerated and frozen storage of hard-boiled eggs causes issues, such as customer rejection owing to textural changes. The objective of this research is to ascertain how storage temperature affects hard-boiled eggs' alteration in texture over time. Medium-sized brown shell eggs were acquired from a local market, boiled at 100℃ for 15 min, and then stored at room temperature (25℃), refrigeration (4℃), and freezing (-18℃) conditions for 0, 12, 24, and 48 h. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), texture profile, visual observation using a gemological microscope, free amino acid content, and color were measured. Freezing had a substantial impact on the eggs' hardness, gumminess, chewiness, and cohesiveness (p<0.05). The FTIR spectrums confirmed the textural changes in bonds of amide A (3,271 cm-1), amide I (1,626.2 cm-1), amide II (1,539.0 cm-1), C=O stretch of COO- (1,397 cm-1), asymmetric PO2- stretch (1,240 cm-1). Microscopic images confirmed structural changes in eggs stored at -18℃. The free amino acid content was lower in fresh and frozen eggs than in the rest (p<0.05). However, there was no discernible variation in the egg white's color when eggs were kept at 4℃ (p>0.05). Salmonella spp. was found exclusively in eggs kept at room temperature. In conclusion, hard-boiled eggs did not exhibit structural or chemical changes when stored at 4℃ for up to 48 h compared to freezing and room temperature conditions.

유동적인 배경 텍스쳐 분석을 통한 DSA 기반의 관상동맥 검출 (Flexible Background-Texture Analysis for Coronary Artery Extraction Based on Digital Subtraction Angiography)

  • 본 논문은 조영 영상에서 유동적인 배경의 텍스쳐 분석을 통한 DSA(Digital subtraction Angiography: 디지털 혈관조영술)기반의 관상동맥 검출방법에 대해 기술한다. DSA 방법은 조영제를 투입하기 전에 촬영된 마스크 영상과 조영제 투입 후의 혈관 대비가 나타나는 라이브 영상과의 차이를 이용하여 빠르게 혈관 영역만을 검출하는 방법이다. 이 방법의 큰 단점은 배경의 움직임에 민감하고, 두 영상간의 지역적인 배경 명암 분포의 변화에 따라 오검출이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 배경 텍스쳐의 유사도를 분석하여 움직임의 차이가 가장 작은 영상을 선택함으로써 배경의 움직임으로 인한 구조적인 문제를 해결하고, 선택된 영상의 지역적 명암 보정을 통해 혈관 영역만을 효과적으로 추출할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과에서는 성능 평가를 위하여 다섯 환자의 임상 관상동맥 조영 영상을 사용 하였다. 제안하는 방법은 기존의 방법보다 배경을 혈관으로 인식하는 오 인식률에서 약 $2\%$정도의 안정적인 결과를 보여주며, 정확도는 증가하였음을 알 수 있다.

레이온직물의 특성에 미치는 등온 안정화공정 및 초음파세척의 영향 (Effects of Isothermal Stabilization Process and Ultrasonic Cleaning on the Characteristics of Rayon Fabrics)

  • 셀룰로오스계 레이온섬유 또는 레이온직물은 좁은 온도범위의 안정화공정 동안에 열분해가 매우 빠르게 진행된다. 그러므로 레이온계 탄소섬유를 제조하는데 있어 안정화단계는 매우 중요한 핵심공정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 셀룰로오스계 레이온직물의 중량감소, 화학조성, 미세구조 및 texture 변화에 미치는 등온 안정화공정과 초음파세척의 영향을 조사하였다. $200{\sim}240^{\circ}C$ 영역에서 행한 등온 안정화공정의 온도는 레이온직물을 안정화 소요시간, 탄소함량, 산소함량, 셀룰로오스 구조 변화 그리고 직물 texture에 큰 영향을 주었다. 등온 안정화공정 전에 물을 이용한 초음파세척은 레이온직물의 안정화공정 시간을 단축하고, 안정화 후 직물의 탄소함량을 증가하고, 산소함량을 감소시키며, XRD 분석 패턴을 변화시키는데 역할을 하는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 초음파세척은 등온 안정화공정시 발생하는 레이온직물의 빠른 중량감소 현상을 더디게 하고, 열수축을 감소시켜, 직물의 급격한 물리적 변화의 완화에도 기여하는 것으로 사료된다.

구조-텍스처 분할을 이용한 위성영상 융합 프레임워크 (Image Fusion Framework for Enhancing Spatial Resolution of Satellite Image using Structure-Texture Decomposition)

  • 본 논문에서는 구조-텍스처 분할 기법을 기반으로 위성영상을 분할 융합하여 공간 해상도를 개선시키는 프레임워크를 제시한다. 위성영상은 센서가 감지하는 파장에 따라 다양한 공간해상도를 가진다. 전정 영상 (panchromatic image)은 일반적으로 높은 공간해상도를 가지지만 단일 흑백컬러를 가지고 있는 반면, 다중분광 영상 (multi-spectral image)나 적외선 영상은 전정 영상에 비해 낮은 공간해상도를 가지지만 다양한 분광 밴드정보와 열 정보를 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다중분광 영상이나 적외선 영상의 공간 해상도를 향상시키기 위해 영상의 디테일이 텍스처 영상에만 존재한다는 것에 착안하여 본 프레임워크를 고안하였다. 고안된 프레임워크에서는 저해상도 영상과 고해상도 영상이 구조 영상과 텍스처 영상으로 분할된 뒤, 저해상도 구조영상은 고해상도 구조 영상을 참조하여 가이디드 필터링 된다. 구조-텍스처 영상 모델에 따라 필터링된 저해상도 영상의 구조 영역과 고해상도 영상의 텍스처 영역을 픽셀 단위로 더해져서 최종 영상이 생성된다. 생성된 영상은 저해상도 영상의 밴드와 고해상도 영상의 디테일을 포함한다. 제시하는 방법은 분광해상도와 공간해상도를 모두 보존할 수 있음을 실험적으로 확인하였다.

Physico-chemical Properties of Disturbed Plastic Film House Soils under Cucumber and Grape Cultivation as Affected by Artificial Accumulation History

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of profile disturbance with different artificial accumulation history on physico-chemical properties of soil under plastic film house. The investigations included soil profile description using soil column cylinder auger F10cm x h110cm, in situ and laboratory measurements of soil properties at five sites each at the cucumber (Site Ic ~ Vc) and grape (Site Ig ~ Vg) plastic film houses with artificial soil accumulation. The sites except sites Ic, IVc, IVg and Vg, belong to ex-paddy area. The types of accumulates around root zone included sandy loam soil for 3 sites, loam soil for 1 site, saprolite for 2 sites, and multi-layer with different accumulates for 3 sites. Especially, Site IIg has mixed plow zone (Ap horizon) with original soil and saprolite, whereas disturbed soil layers of the other sites are composed of only external accumulates. The soil depth disturbed by artificial accumulation ranged from 20 cm, for Site IIg, to whole measured depth of 110 cm, for Site IVc, Vc, and Site IVg. Elapsed time from artificially accumulation to investigation time ranged from 3 months, Site IIc, to more than 20 years, Site Vg, paddy-soil covering over well-drained upland soil during land leveling in 1980s. Disturbed top layer in all sites except Site Vg had no structure, indicating low structural stability. In situ infiltration rate had no correlation with texture or organic matter content, but highest value with highest variability in Site IIIc, the shortest elapsed time since sandy loam soil accumulation. Relatively low infiltration rate was observed in sites accumulated by saprolite with coarse texture, presumably because its low structural stability in the way of weathering process could result in relatively high compaction in agro-machine work or irrigation. In all cucumber sites, there were water-transport limited zone with very low permeable or impermeability within 50 cm under soil surface, but Site IIg, IIIg, and Vg, with relatively weak disturbance or structured soil, were the reverse. We observed the big change in texture and re-increase of organic matter content, available phosphate, and exchangeable cations between disturbed layer and original soil layer. This study, therefore, suggest that the accumulation of coarse material such as saprolite for cultivating cash crop under plastic film house might not improve soil drainage and structural stability, inversely showing weaker disturbance of original soil profile with higher drainage.

쌀 품종에 따른 증편의 조직특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Texture of Jeung-pyun According the Kinds of Rice)

  • The composition and polymeric structure of starch are the most important factors to determine the functional properties of rice. In an effort to relate the structural characteristics and its functional properties of starch in rice, molecular structural properties of starch from 6 rice cultivars were analysed. To relate the structure and function of starch the texture of Jeung-pyun made of rice were analyzed during retrogradation. The polymeric structure of rice starch was analyzed by debranching with isoamylase after gelatinization and fractionated with Sephadex G-75 gel filteration. The size fractionated debranched starch was categorized into four groups such as Fraction I, II, III and Intermediate Fraction depending in their max, The fractions with the max higher than 620 nm were designated as Fraction I, while those in the range of 600-620 nm and 540-600 nm as the Intermediate Fraction and Fraction II, respectively. The Fractions with the max lower than 540 were described as Fraction III. The average degree of polymerization (DP) of the Fraction I was estimated to be higher than 200, and those of other fractions, i.e. the Intermediate Fraction I, Fraction II and III were 150,45 and 25, respectively. The levels of Fraction I were varied from II to 35% of total sugar. The Fraction I showed the linear relationship with the amylse contents, and the Intermediate Fraction, which might contain the mixture of short chain of amylose and debranched long chain of amylopectin, were measured to be in the range of 2.7∼8.4%. The levels of fraction II and III, both to be considered as the branches of amylopectin, were ranged 14.5∼23.6% and 39.7∼73.0%, respectively. The ratio of Fraction III to Fraction II describing the degree of branch or compactness of amylopectin was estimated to be around 4.0 for waxy varieties and around 2.0 for high amylose cultivars. With these results, it can be suggested that the degree of branch of the amylopectin may effect on amylose contents of starch or rice versa, To invertigate processing aptitude of different rice cultivars for the preparation of Jeung-pyun, its texture was analyzed by Instron, hardness, cohesiveness, elasticity, gumminess and chewiness of Jeung-pyun made of rice showed the significant relationship with the amylose content. Hardness was increased during retrogradation of product, but the relationship between hardness and amylose content due to not only difference in amylose content but also difference in structural characteristics of starch. In analysis of relationship between structure of rice starch and mechanical properties of Jeung-pyun during retrogradation elasticity did not show any relationship before retrogradation bur during retrogradation showed significant correlation. With these result, it can be suggested that the degree of branch of the amylopectin may effect on elasticity during retrogradation. However hardness, cohesiveness, gumminess and chewiness which were significant different before retrogradation, showed some correlation with structure of rice starch during retrigradation.
