  • In this paper, we design a new automatic workpiece loading system for the loading and unloading of a workpiece for a CNC lathe. Conventional workpiece loading systems are bulky and require a large area when installed around a shelf. Therefore, an automatic loading system with small horizontal and vertical dimensions and a large loading capacity was designed. Structural analysis of the system was then carried out to assess the displacement and safety of the main components. Following this, the automatic loading system was manufactured according to the structural analysis results and conceptual design, and experiments characterizing the performance of the system were conducted. As a result, the automatic loading system was found to operate accurately and safely, meaning it can be used to load and unload workpieces for a CNC lathe.

  • This paper analyzes the concept of Lacanian subject and the structural definition of sexual difference between man and woman, and criticizes some problems of those definitions. It seems to me, to do so, that it is important to know precisely the core terms of psychoanalysis quoted by Lacan. We should analyze the basic meanings and the relation of the Imaginary, Symbolic and the Real, of ideal ego and ego ideal, of phallus and signifier, of desire and the other, of consciousness and unconsciousness, of alienation and separation, etc. I'm going to discuss the relation between the Imaginary and the ideal ego in chapter 2, and then, deal with the relation between the Symbolic and the ego ideal in chapter 3. I'll explain both similarity and difference between the ideal ego and ego ideal through those discussions. In chapter 4, I'm planning to explain the relation among the other, desire and the subject of unconsciousness. In chapter 5, I'll analyze the meaning of phallus and signifier. I'll criticize the Lacanian structural definition of sexual difference on the basis of the work made in former chapters. These discussions will lead to my final conclusion that the concept of Lacanian subject and the structural definition of sexual difference are only dependent on reductionism regarding everything as symbolic, which has in itself a lot of contradiction. In order that All discussions about sexual difference have at least a objective meaning, they have to rely on anatomical differences between man and woman.

  • Stepping in the 1990s, we has lived under the time of co-existence of diverse culture as well as faced the diffusion of pop-culture. The border between subculture style and hi-fashion has been blurred since beginning of 1990s. By this reason, recognizing the power of influence and importance of subculture style, we will try to provide the comprehensive vision reflecting the cultural background to analyze the subculture style. We will conclude this article with discussing the club-culture which is settle as one type of culture. Enjoying the club-culture, clubber tries to escape from the structural estrangement putting by the magical and symbolic meaning through creating their own style, and endowing their life the meaning. They make liquid club wear targeting at general young culture, pop culture, and subculture as well as hippies, Mods, funk. The Club wear around University sort out Hiphop Style, Casual Style, Mix and Match style. As at the club the hiphop music was played, the hiphop style dress becomes the club ware. Especially, training style clothes which is easy to dance has become the everyday dress, not just restricted in the indoor dress.

  • In the $21^{st}$ century, woman leaders are able to influence society through improved social status and economic power. From 1980-1990 there was a rapid global social development of feminism and improved media perceptions. The progression of this process is reflected by female characters in feminism films that included a new dress style. The power suit emerged in the U.S.A of the 1980s, as a dress code that showed the workplace uniform of a professional woman and spread to Korea as an influential style. This study defines the different and similar aspects in the development of women's position and the role involved in a structural background through a comparison of the socio-cultural meaning of the power suit expressed in American and Korean feminism films. For analysis, this study chose American films in the 1980s and Korean films in 1990s that fulfilled elements about feminism films. Subsequently in American feminism films, the power suit expressed an equal authority with men, strategic use of femininity according to task type, and a dissipation of symbolic effects like a rich look. In Korean feminism films, the power suit expressed an end of femininity like female transvestite, independent female images with the masculinization of appearance, and a mix of new and traditional styles.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the meaning and essence of suicide for elderly people who had previously attempted suicide as an older person. Methods: Giorgi's descriptive phenomenology was used for analysis. The researchers carried out in-depth interviews, recordings and memos individually with four elders. The elders were individuals who had attempted suicide sometime in the past 5 yr. They were interviewed from 5 to 10 times using open-ended questions and a semi-structural format. Demographic data were also collected. Results: The meaning of suicide before a suicide attempt in older people had four core components: conflict with family, powerlessness and despair in their life with a drop in self-esteem, using internal and external resources to resolve their troubles and awareness of imminent crisis. Conclusion: These results of this study will increase understanding of suicide in older people by defining their subjective experience of suicide attempts and applying grounded data in the development of programs that provide concrete intervention strategies to prevent suicide in elderly people.

  • Social and economic changes in the world, along with changes in the culture of government and structural changes in the relationship between the state, the market and higher education institutions, have resulted in new approaches pursued by states towards higher education (Konstantinov & Philonovich, 2007; Peterka, 2011). Higher education institutions, in its turn, enjoy more freedom in choosing to focus on various tasks and goals to their academic activities. This contributes to the diversity of expectations when it comes to the various roles modern academic institutions take on with regard to their development. Among many existing concepts in the current academic environment, the concept of "entrepreneurial university" is becoming a critically important concept in Russia. In this article, we consider the concept of the Entrepreneurial University as developed in Clark and Etzkowitz's theories, and the ways the concept is being adjusted in the higher education system in Russia. We analyze comparatively both contemporary and prior historical [1990s-mid2000s] state policies pertaining to higher-education institutions in Russia in order to provide an insight into how the national market of knowledge intensive production is being established in the country. As a consequence of these analyses, we present a new model of how universities can take a more systemic and meaningful approach to creating research-based innovation entrepreneurial activities. This approach is also viewed as making universities' innovation activities more sustainable and thus less dependent on the state support.

  • This study has resulted in the followings applying costume's form and meaning to the theory of structuralism established by Saussure and the extensive and contained meanings of Roland Barthes. The kinds of woman's costume of the Romanesque era were not various, but those of the royal family and aristocratic class were more various and decorated better than the lowly persons. So their social levels could be differed by the forms of the costume they wore. Each form of costume was differed according to the structural elements and showed the feature that the form is the costume of the era and social position's differences of the wearers' sexes, levels, and vocations in the same era. Costume's analistic body was the costume's form selected according to the central analystic elements, this showed the meaning of the era's levels and classes, that is, the costume's structure was reflected by the era's features. In the structure of the woman's costume in the Romanesque era, many religious features were emphasized and the elements forming each analystic body were classified and meant the society's features. • Until now, several comparative approaches were developed within the studies of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese traditional housings. In those studies, however, each space in the traditional houses was only treated in individual and fragmentary manners, and they lacked the interpretation of the topological attribute of each space within a holistic structure organized by unit spaces, and of the cultural-behavioral meaning of them within a holistic space-use pattern of the housing. The topological attribute and behavioral meaning can be analyzed and interpreted with the quantitative spatial analysis method such as Space Syntax. This study aims to analyze the traditional housings in Korea, China and Japan in the holistic aspect of spatial structure using Space Syntax, and to compare the analysis results with relating the structural attributes to the space-use pattern. In this study, the 'Banga' in Chosun era, the 'Siheyuan' in Ming-Ching era, and the 'Shoinzukuri' in Edo era were selected as the analysis subjects. The integration indices were calculated from the convex maps representing the subjects, and the common and different attributes of the three subjects were defined through comparative analyses.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of 'dis-joint' in the works of Louis I. Kahn. Kahn tried to realize his main architectural thoughts of 'what it wants to be' and 'how it was done' through his whole life. The concept of 'dis-joint' had been developed to visualize his architectural thoughts. Kahn used' dis-joint' to show and emphasize the structural system for the raison d'etre of building. Kahn's 'dis-joint' can be categorized as 'spacing', 'butt', 'slit' and 'protrusion'. Kahn used this kind of unusual way of joint beyond simple exposure to stress the existence of element, part and building itself. Through variable combination usage of 'dis-joint', Kahn can realize his architectural thoughts into building in a concrete way. The efficiency and function of joint is not the main issue in his works. 'Dis-joint' was the concrete tool to show the tectonic of architecture and construction process to enhance its presence. Therefore 'dis-joint' of Kahn's architecture is not a joint only to combine building parts but a concrete mean to realize his thoughts in a corporeal way. These facts insinuate that Kahn's architectural philosophy is based on the thoughts of tectonic and its realization.
