아스팔트 혼합물의 박리방지제의 종류 및 함량에 따른 박리저항성 분석 (Moisture Damage Evaluation of Asphalt Mixtures depending on the Types of Anti-Stripping Agent)

  • PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to analyze the performance of anti-stripping agent depending on its type and content to reduce pothole, an increasing pavement distress due to abnormal climate intensity. METHODS : In the past years, U.S and many countries in Europe use hydrated lime and liquid anti-stripping agent in asphalt mixtures. Hydrated lime or liquid anti-stripping agent is substituted for filler and binder, respectively, to improve the anti-stripping property of asphalt mixtures. To investigate this, indirect tensile strength test was performed and TSR values were compared for different content of hydrated lime and types of liquid anti-stripping agent in asphalt mixture. RESULTS : Test results indicate that hydrated lime remarkably increased the asphalt mixture performance on anti-stripping denoted by the increased in TSR values from 55% to 100%. Liquid anti-stripping agent also increased the value of TSR but not significant. In addition, depending on the types of aggregate, TSR values and effect of liquid anti-stripping were different. CONCLUSIONS : Using anti-stripping agents improve the anti-stripping property of asphalt mixture especially hydrated lime; however, more experiments should be conducted to improve the reliability about the effect of liquid anti-stripping agent.

  • PURPOSES: The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of anti-stripping on asphalt mixtures constituting anti-stripping agents. METHODS : Based on the literature review, asphalt mixture added with anti-stripping agents was prepared, and these asphalt mixtures were evaluated for anti-stripping properties for each anti-stripping agent through various lab tests, namely, tensile strength ratio (TSR), dynamic immersion test, uniaxial compression test, and indirect tensile strength test (IDT). The liquid anti-stripping agents used in the lab test were premixed with each asphalt binder (PG 64-22, PG 76-22) before being mixed with the aggregate. RESULTS :The result of the TSR test revealed that the effect of anti-stripping was highest when hydrated lime and liquid anti-stripping agent W were added. The correlation coefficient $R^2$ between the TSR result and cohesion ratio is 0.99, which indicates that the sensitivity of the TSR to moisture damage is reliable from the mechanical point of view. The covering ratio of the asphalt binder to the liquid anti-stripping agent W was determined to be higher than that to the other liquid anti-stripping agents. CONCLUSIONS :It is considered that the improved moisture resistance of asphalt mixture as a result of the use of anti-stripping agents can reduce the incidence of various pavement damages such as portholes caused by stripping, and the performance life of the asphalt road pavement can be prolonged.

피부장벽회복에 영향을 미치는 인자에 관한 연구 (The study on the factors which improve skin barrier recovery)

  • Objective : Skin barrier protects skin against harmful environment. Its function includes antimicrobial barrier as well as physical barrier. But there are few studies about the factors which improve skin barrier recovery after injury. The aim of this study is to investigate the factors which improve skin barrier recovery. Method : Nine hairless mice was anesthetized by inhalation and we tape stripped them. We used thermometer to know temperature one day ago, before anesthesia, before tape stripping, and after tape stripping. Vapometer was used to know transepidermal water loss before tape stripping, after tape stripping. And we used doppler flowmeter to measure blood flow before tape stripping, after tape stripping. Result : After analyzed data, we concluded that temperature was lower after anesthesia than before anesthesia and after tape stripping than before tape stripping. We could know that transepidermal water loss was lower after tape stripping than before tape stripping and more blood flowed after tape stripping. Conclusion : In our study, it was observed that temperature, transepidermal water loss, blood flow changed after tape stripping. But we thought lowered temperature was pathologic situation, more blood flow was to recover after injury. In traditional korean medicine, cold(寒) and imbalance of blood flow(血行) don't only make many skin diseases, but cold(寒) also obstructs blood flow. So we need to study how to warm cold(寒) and improve blood flow.

Novel Method for Stripping of Molybdenum(VI) after Its Extraction with Cyanex 301

  • Hydrofluoric acid has been used as a novel stripping agent for molybdenum(VI) after its extraction with Cyanex 301. In the extraction step, the effects of parameters such as type and initial concentration of acid, type of diluent, extractant concentration, metal concentration and temperature have been studied. In the stripping step, the effects of various stripping agents on stripping efficiency have been investigated. Hydrofluoric acid has been chosen as an effective stripping agent, and the effects of concentration of hydrofluoric acid, stripping time, volume of hydrofluoric acid and the number of stages of stripping have been studied. Molybdenum(VI) has been effectively separated from a large number of elements in binary mixtures, with a very high tolerance limit. Finally, the optimized method has been extended for the analysis of Mo(VI) in spent molybdenum catalysts.

탈기법과 초음파 처리법을 연계한 LPG 지하공동저장소 주변 오염지하수 내 TOC 제거 (The Air-stripping Process Conjugated with the Ultrasonic Treatment to Remove TOC in Groundwater around the LPG Underground Storage Cavern)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에서 운영 중인 대형 LPG(Liquefied petroleum gas: 액화석유가스) 지하공동저장소 주변 오염지하수 내 TOC(total organic carbon: 전유기탄소)를 효과적으로 제거할 수 있는 탈기법(air-stripping) 기반의 정화공정을 개발하기 위해, 국내 LPG 지하저장소 주변 두 종류의 오염 지하수 시료(초기 TOC 농도는 각각 608 mg/L와 153 mg/L)를 대상으로 TOC 제거 실내 실험을 하였다. 다양한 air-stripping 조건(공기주입량 변화, 온도 변화, 초음파 처리 연계 등)에서 처리수의 TOC 제거효율을 비교함으로써, 최적의 TOC 제거효율을 가지는 air-stripping 기반의 지하수 정화공정을 개발하고자 하였다. Air-stripping의 공기 주입량 변화 실험 결과, 공기주입량이 2 L/min에서 11 L/min로 많아질수록, stripping 시간이 1시간에서 24시간으로 길어질수록, 오염지하수의 TOC 제거율은 증가하였지만, 처리 후 지하수의 TOC 농도는 방류수 수질 기준(100 mg/L 이하)보다 높았다. 정성분석 결과 실험에 사용한 LPG 지하저장소 주변 오염지하수의 TOC 주요 성분은 메탄올과 프로판으로 나타났으며, 메탄올의 경우 물과의 친화성에 의해 air-stripping 효과가 프로판보다 낮아, 장시간의 stripping이 필요한 것으로 판단되었다. 상온(20℃)에서 공기주입량 4 L/min로 24시간 air-stripping 후 오염 지하수의 TOC 제거효율은 59.1%였으나, 온도를 30℃와 40℃로 상승시켰을 때 제거효율은 각각 80.0%와 82.8%로 증가하여, 온도 증가에 따라 TOC 제거효율도 증가하였다. 다만 오염지하수의 온도를 40℃로 유지하여도 24시간 이상 air-stripping을 해야 처리수의 TOC 농도가 방류수 수질 기준을 만족하였다. Air-stripping의 TOC 제거효율을 높이기 위해, 초음파 처리 과정을 병행한 경우, 공기주입량 9 L/min 조건으로 air-stripping을 적용한 결과 5시간 만에 87.8%의 높은 제거효율을 나타내어(처리 후 TOC 농도: 72.4 mg/L) 방류수 수질 기준(100 mg/L)을 만족하였다. 초기 TOC 농도가 낮은 오염지하수의 경우에도 초음파 처리와 air-stripping을 동일한 조건으로 병행한 경우, TOC 제거효율은 89.7%(처리 후 TOC농도: 18.9 mg/L)를 나타내었다. 연구 결과로부터 TOC로 오염된 대형 LPG 지하공동저장소 주변 지하수에 대하여 초음파 처리와 air-stripping을 연계한 정화법을 적용하는 경우, 비교적 짧은 시간(6시간 이하)에 효과적으로 지하수 내 TOC를 제거할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Dip 추출에서 유체 표면의 영향을 고려한 친환경 포토레지스트 박리공정 (Green Photoresist Stripping Process with the Influence of Free Surface from Dip Withdrawal)

  • This paper describes a green stripping process to effectively strip the remaining DFR layer on a non-alkali-based ITO glass surface after an etching process. A stripper, water-soluble amine compound, is used to investigate the characteristics of stripping ability and to suggest a valid method for the green process. Increasing the composition (5-30% concentration) of the ethanol amine-based stripper was found to greatly reduce the stripping time applied in the dipping method. The composition (30%) achieved an excellent stripping effect and free-residue impurities. Additionally, it was possible to obtain the effect of stripping in a way to sustain the release before generating DFR sludge from the ITO glass surface by using dipping condition (stripping time) in the composition. An Additional stripping process (buffering) out of dipping can realize productivity improvement and cost reduction because of the higher proportion of re-use of the stripping solution used in the DFR removal step.

An Oxidative Chloride Stripping Solution for 14K Gold Alloys

  • We propose a novel stripping solution containing acids (HCl and HNO3), an oxidant [(NH4)2S2O8], and complexing agents (NaCl and citric acid) to remove surface passivation layers from 14K gold alloys fabricated using an investment casting process. The optimized solution employing only HCl acid is determined by varying molar fractions of HCl and HNO3 on 14K yellow gold samples. Stripping properties are also identified for red and white gold alloy samples under the optimized stripping conditions. The removal of passivation layers, weight loss, and microstructure evolution are characterized using Raman spectroscopy, a precision scale, and optical microscopy. The proposed stripping solution effectively removes passivation layers more rapidly than conventional cyanide stripping. Weight loss increases linearly for up to 5 min for all 14K gold alloys. Red gold exhibits the greatest weight loss, followed by yellow gold and white gold. The results of microstructural analysis reveal that the conformal stripping occurs according to time. These results imply that the proposed oxidative chloride stripping might replace conventional cyanide stripping.

  • Alamine336에 추출된 염화 제 2철의 탈거실험을 위해 아황산과 염산 및 황산용액의 농도와 탈거조건을 변화시키며 탈거실험을 수행했다. 염산과 황산용액의 농도가 증가함에 따라 철의 탈거율은 감소했으나, 아황산용액의 경우에는 3M의 농도범위에서 산의 농도에 따라 탈거율이 증가하였다. 탈거온도가 증가하면 아황산용액에 의한 철의 탈거율은 감소하나, 염산용액의 경우에는 탈거율이 증가하였다. 0.5M의 철이 함유된 유기상으로부터 O/A=1/10의 조건에서 0.1 M의 염산의 경우에는 3단에 의해, 0.1M의 황산용액으로는 4단에 의해 0.05M농도의 철이 탈거된 용액을 얻을 수 있는 것을 등온탈거곡선으로부터 알 수 있었다.

수용액중 암모니아 Recycling을 위한 Air Stripping 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of Air Stripping for Recycling of Ammonia in Aqueous Solutions)

  • 수용액중의 암모니아를 리싸이클링하여 황산암모늄을 제조하기 위한 1단계 공정으로 air stripping에 의한 암모니아 탈기특성을 조사하였다. 수용액중 암모니아 탈기실험을 위하여 내경 40mm의 아크릴관을 탈기 column으로 사용하고 하단에 미세한 기체방울을 생성시키기 위하여 air sparger를 설치하는 한편 탈기가스로는 공기를 사용하였다. 탈기실험 결과 수용액 pH가 증가할수록 암모니아 탈기효율이 향상되었으며, 적정 pH범위는 10∼12 인 것으로 나타났다. 공기유량변화가 암모니아 탈기에 미치는 영향에 있어서는 공기유량이 증가함에 따라 탈기량이 비례하여 증가하지는 않았다. 또한, 수주 높이 20 cm 이상에서 절대 탈기량은 수주 높이에 관계없이 일정하게 나타났다. 탈기 온도를 높일수록 암모니아 탈기속도는 크게 증가하여 pH 12.8, 탈기 온도 $60^{\circ}C$에서 14시간 탈기시 초기 암모니아의 90% 정도를 탈기시킬 수 있었으며, 탈기 온도는 수용액 pH와 함께 암모니아 탈기공정의 가장 중요한 변수임을 확인할 수 있었다.

부영양호 원수의 냄새유발 물질 탈기 특성 (Air stripping of odor causing materials from eutrophic lake water)

  • Algal blooms in a local eutrophic lake often produces the musty and earthy taste & odor problems. Since the odor causing compounds(OCCs) including geosmin and 2-MIB have their own volatility, the OCCs can be removed from water by air stripping methods. Removal of TON(threshold odor number) as an index for OCCs could be fitted well with the first order equations($R^2=0.9$ above), where the air stripping coefficient of TON, k was in the range between 0.0055 and 0.0097 according to the aeration time. k within 30min aeration tests was 0.0097, while it was 0.0055 where the aeration time extended to 150min. With 15 mg/L of PAC, removal of TON was not simulated with 1st order equation within 30min aeration. Within 30min aeration, OCCs rather than geosmin and/or 2-MIB could be removed easily by air stripping or PAC adsorption, while OCCs such as geosmin and/or 2-MIB could be removed slowly by air stripping after 30min aeration. Geosmin and 2-MIB were not readily removed by air stripping(k of them were 0.0018~0.0047 and 0.0018~0.0034, respectively at different air flow rates). Geosmin could be removed by air stripping a little better than 2-MIB.
