In order to investigate the characteristics of the lateral earth pressure at rest, under hysteretic $K_o-loading/unloading$ conditions, seven types of multi-cyclic models have been studied, using dry sand. For this study, the new type of $K_o-oedometer$ apparatus was developed, and the horizontal pressure was accurately measured. The multi-cyclic models consist of primarily 3 cases: (i) $K_o-test$ under the same loading / unloading condition, (ii) multi-cyclic loading / unloading $K_o-test$ exceeding the maximum pre-vertical stress, and (iii) multi-cyclic loading / unloading $K_o-test$ within the maximum pre-vertical stress. Results fromthe multi-cyclic model indicated that a single-cyclic model could be extended if the exponents for the unloading condition $(\alpha\;and\;\alpha^*)$ and the reloading coefficients $(m_r,\;and\;m_r^{\ast})$ were primarily dependent upon the type of model, number of cycles, and the relative density.
Modern technological progress demands the use of materials at high temperature and high pressure. One of the most critical factors in considering such applications - perhaps the most critical one - is creep behavior. In this study the stress exponents n were determined during creep over the temperature range of $90^{\circ}C\;to\;500^{\circ}C$ (0.4 - 0.85 Tm) and stress range of 0.64 kgt/$mm^2$ in order to investigate the creep hehavior. The stress dependence of rapture time (n') were determined over the temperature range of $200^{\circ}C\;to\;240^{\circ}C$ and stress range of 8.13 kgt/$mm^2$ to 9.55 kgt/$mm^2$ in order to investigate to creep rupture property. And the stress transient dip tests were also carried out for the internal stress ${\sigma}i$ over the temperature range of $90^{\circ}C\;to\;500^{\circ}C$ and stress range of 0.64kgt/$mm^2$ to 17.2 kgt/$mm^2$. The creep tests for constant temperature and stress transient dip tests were conducted in air with Al 7075 alloy under constant tensile load. At around the temperature range $200^[\circ}C\;-\;230^{\circ}C$ and the stress level 8.13 - 9.55 (kgt/$mm^2$), the temperature range $280^{\circ}C\;-\;310^{\circ}C$ and the stress level 1.85 - 2.55 (kgt/$mm^2$), the temperature range $380^{\circ}C\;-\;410^{\circ}C$ and the stress 1.53 - 0.91 (kgt/$mm^2$), the stress exponent in had the value of 6.2 - 6.65 but at around the temperature range $90^{\circ}C\;-\;120^{\circ}C$ and the stress level 10 - 17.2(kgt/$mm^2$), the value of 1.3, and at around the temperature range $470^{\circ}C\;-\;500^{\circ}C$, the stress level 0.62 - 1.02 (kgt/$mm^2$) the value of 1-1. Besides these results, at around the temperature $200^{\circ}C\;-\;240^{\circ}C$ the stress dependence of rupture time (n') had the value of 6.3. Finally, it was found that the value n calculated by considering the applied stress dependence of the internal stress were in good agreement with those obtained for the creep test. Then, it was concluded that the change in n was mainly attributed to the difference of the applied stress dependence of the internal stress and the ratio of the internal stress to the applied stress, and the creep rupture life may be represented as.

Micro duplex stainless steel is used to denote a fine scale two-phase micro structure consisting austenite and firrite. The development of this structure was done by proper thermo-mechanical processing. The objective of present investigation is to study creep characteristics of this alloy. Since we have little design data about the W behaviors of the alloy. An apparatus has been designed and built fir conducting creep tests under constant load conditions. A series of creep tests on them have been performed to get the basic design data and life prediction of micro duplex stainless steel products and we have gotten the 1311owing results. First the stress exponents decrease as the test temperatures increase. Secondly, the creep activation energy Gradually decreases as the stresses become higher. Thirdly, the constant of Larson-Miller Parameters on this alloy is estimated as about 5. Last, the fiactographs at the creep rupture show both the ductile and brittle fracture modes according to the creep conditions.

Inconel 690 alloy has widely been used in power plant and high temperature facilities because it has high thermal resistance and toughness. But we have little design data about the creep behaviors of the alloy. Therefore, in this study, an apparatus has been designed and built for conducting creep tests under constant load conditions. A series of creep tests on Inconel 690 alloy have been performed to get the basic design data and life prediction of inconel products and we have gotten the following results. First, the stress exponents decrease as the test temperatures increase. Secondly, the creep activation energy gradually decreases as the stresses become bigger. thirdly, the constant of Larson-Miller Parameters on this alloy is estimated about 10. And last the fractographs at the creep rupture show both the ductile and the brittle fracture according to the creep conditions.
Little design data is available for the creep life prediction of 9% Ni alloy in elevated temperatures. Therefore, in this study, a series of creep tests under 16 combined conditions with 4 kinds of stresses and 4 temperatures was performed to obtain creep design and life prediction data for 9% Ni alloy, with the following results. The stress exponents decreased as the test temperature increased. The creep activation energy gradually decreased as the stresses became larger. The Larson-Miller parameter (LMP) constant for this alloy was estimated to be about 2.

The creep strain of the compression zone of concrete beams subjected to cyclic loading should be a significant factor in increasing strain and deflections. An analytical model which is similar to a previous one is presented to predict the increase in cyclic creep strain and the damage using the properties of the constituent materials: concrete and steel. The analytical expressions are compared with our experimental data. The effect of concrete-creep is accounted by the term En, Icr,n, and Mcr,n. In this study, it is proved that cyclic creep exponents 'n' in Cyclic Creep Model, according to the parameters -strength, range of stress- have the various values. It is hoped that with the availability of more experimental data and better understanding of some of the complex behavior, the model could be further improved.

Titanium alloy has widely been used as glasses rim material because it has high specific strength and also is light, harmless to men. But, we have little design data about the creep behaviors of the alloy. Therefore, in this study, an apparatus has been designed and built for conducting creep tests under constant load conditions. A series of creep tests on them have been performed to get the basic design data and life prediction of titanium products and we have gotten the following results. First, the stress exponents decrease as the test temperatures increase. Secondly, the creep activation energy gradually decreases as the stresses become bigger. Thirdly, the constant of Larson-Miller parameters on this alloy is estimated about 13. And last, the fractographs at the creep rupture show both the ductile and the brittle fracture according to the creep conditions.
The cyclical behavior of Alloy 617 was examined at 25 ℃ and high temperatures of 800, 850, 900, and 950 ℃ in air to obtain its fatigue life curves. The specimens tested at 25, 800, and 850 ℃ cyclically hardened, whereas those tested above 900 ℃ cyclically softened from the first cycle, that is, their fatigue life was reduced at high temperatures owing to loss of strength. Parameters of the typical Coffin-Manson-Basquin relationship were determined for each test temperature. Interestingly, no significant difference in fatigue life was observed for the specimens tested in the range of 800-950 ℃. Owing to the similarity in fatigue life, we determined fatigue strength and fatigue ductility exponents that could be applied for this temperature range. The parameters obtained were close to the universal slopes, although the fatigue ductility exponent was slightly different. The proposed fatigue life curves were compared with those presented in ASME code.
The scaling relationship of the longest relaxation time of a single chain of semiflexible biological polyelectrolyte has been investigated by performing well-established coarse-grained Brownian dynamics simulations. Two kinds of longest relaxation times were estimated from time-sequences of chain trajectories, and their behaviors were interpreted by applying the scaling law for different molecular weights of polyelectrolyte and Debye lengths. The scaling exponents for longest stress relaxation and rotational relaxation are found in the ranges of 1.67-1.79 and 1.65-1.81, respectively, depending on the physicochemical interaction of electrostatic Debye screening. The scaling exponent increases with decreasing screening effect, which is a special feature of polyelectrolytes differing from neutral polymers. It revealed that the weak screening allows a polyelectrolyte chain to follow the behavior in good solvent due to the strong electrostatic repulsion between beads.
In this work, a new hyperbolic shear deformation beam theory is proposed based on a modified couple stress theory (MCST) to investigate the bending and free vibration responses of functionally graded (FG) micro beam made of porous material. This non-classical micro-beam model introduces the material length scale coefficient which can capture the size influence. The non-classical beam model reduces to the classical beam model when the material length scale coefficient is set to zero. The mechanical material properties of the FG micro-beam are assumed to vary in the thickness direction and are estimated through the classical rule of mixture which is modified to approximate the porous material properties with even and uneven distributions of porosities phases. Effects of several important parameters such as power-law exponents, porosity distributions, porosity volume fractions, the material length scale parameter and slenderness ratios on bending and dynamic responses of FG micro-beams are investigated and discussed in detail. It is concluded that these effects play significant role in the mechanical behavior of porous FG micro-beams.
