Polystyrene 의 Crazing 거동 특성 (Characterization of Crazing Behavior in Polystyrene)

  • 서로 다른 두 종류의 폴리스타일렌(PS)을 injection 기계를 이용하여 인장 시편을 만들고, 온도와 인장 속도에 따른 crazing 거동 특성을 연구하기 위하여 다양한 시험을 하였다. 기계적물성은 craze 형성뿐만 아니라 다양한 시험 변수에 의해 영향을 받으며, brittle-ductile transition 이하의 온도에서의 인장 응력 및 최대 신율은 분자량, 인장 속도의 증가 및 온도의 감소에 따라 증가하며 craze의 수와 평균 길이 또한 증가한다. Crazing 응력도 동일한 형태로 증가함을 보여준다. 그러나, 이러한 특성은 인장 강도에 미치는 영향과 비교했을 때 보다 의존도는 상대적으로 낮다. Craze 형성과 성장에 필요한 시간으로 설명할 수 있는 crazing 응력과 인장 응력간의 차이는 분자량, 인장 속도에 따라 비례적으로 그리고, 온도가 감소함에 따라 증가함을 보여 준다. Crazing 은 ${\beta}$-relaxation 온도 근처에서 활성화된다. 이 온도에서는 crazing 응력이 급격하게 감소함을 나타낸다. 인장 평가시 craze 밀도가 적용된 응력에 따라 기하 급수적으로 증가되는데, 개시 단계에서는 craze는 서서히 형성되며, 일단 일정한 수만큼의 craze가 형성이 되면 craze 밀도가 급속도로 증가했다.

여성 흡연자의 흡연 행태 및 관련 요인 -인천광역시 보건소 금연클리닉 상담자 중심으로- (Smoking Behavior and Related Factors of Female Smokers from Public Health Center in Incheon)

  • Purpose: This study was attempted to find out female smoking behavior and the smoking related factors. Method: Study subjects were 226 female smokers who have visited temporary clinic or smoking cessation clinic run by 10 public health centers in Incheon. The data were collected through the questionnaire specially designed for this study from April 1 to June 30, 2008. The data were analyzed by the SPSS 12.0 program. Result: 68.0% of feale smokers have smoked habitually. The average daily smoking amount of the subjects was $12.0{\pm}8.7$ ea, average rate of nicotine dependence was $4.2{\pm}2.2$ points, the mean smoking duration was $12.7{\pm}9.3$ years, and the smoking start age was $23.1{\pm}8.5$ year old. The smoking behavior by the drinking frequency showed significant difference in average daily smoking amount and rate of nicotine dependence(p<.05). Also the smoking behavior by exercise showed significant difference in current smoking frequency(p<.05). There was positive relation between female smoking behavior and monthly income, frequency of drinking, exercise, and stress respectively(p<.05, p<.01). Conclusion: Compared to a male smoker, the average daily smoking amount of a female smoker was less and the duration of smoking was longer. This study suggests that not only a social movement about a female smoking cessation is imperative but also smoking cessation programs should be combined with reduced drinking consumption, exercise and stress relief programs. Moreover, early intervention for preventing teenager smoking should be added to smoking cessation programs.

BMG/결정질 복합재의 과냉각 액상구역에서 압축 변형 거동 (Plastic deformation behavior of BMG/crystalline composites in the supercooled liquid region during compression)

  • Bulk metallic glass (BMG)/crystalline composites comprising a copper based BMG alloy and crystalline nickel were produced by means of eloctroless plating of nickel on $Cu_{54}Zr_{22}Ti_{18}Ni_6$ BMG powder and subsequent consolidation using spark plasma sintering. The plastic deformation behavior of BMG/crystalline composites was examined by uniaxial compression test at various temperatures in the supercooled liquid region (SLR) of the BMG alloy. The evolution of strain states during uniaxial compression was tackled by microstructure observations. Deformation temperature played an important role in the deformation behavior of BMG/crystalline composites, which was attributed to a strong temperature dependence of the flow stress of the BMG alloy in the SLR. BMG/crystalline composites deformed homogenously in the temperature range where the flow stress of the BMG alloy was close to that of crystalline nickel. In contrast, inhomogeneous deformation was observed in the temperature range where the flow stress of the BMG alloy largely differs from that of crystalline nickel.

직업 경력단절 기혼 여성에 대한 질적 연구: 30대 여성의 경력단절 이후의 삶을 중심으로 (A Qualitative Study on the Career-interrupted Lives of Career-Interrupted Women in their thirties)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the career-interrupted lives of highly educated career-interrupted women. The participants were 11 women in their thirties who had graduated from university graduated and had a child. We collected the qualitative data using a focused group interview. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, in personal histories of the career-interrupted women, there were marriages and births, difficulties with child care, priority placed on the family, pressure to retire, and an absence of a layoff system related to births and child care. Second, with regard to their interrupted lives, while there was comfort and an absence of work-stress, there was child care stress, financial stress, anxiety due to career uncertainty, a loss of the social self, depression, emptiness, low self-esteem, dependence on husbands, regret, conflict in career choices, and envy of childcare support. Third, their reasons for seeking reemployment included the financial benefits, increased independence, self-realization in their job, hope for a stable job, self-management, and hope for a social network.

비대칭 원주방향 관통균열 배관의 탄소성 J-적분 계산식 (Elastic-Plastic J Estimations for Pipes with Off-Centred Circumferential Through-Wall Cracks)

  • This paper provides approximate J estimates for off-centred, circumferential through-wall cracks in cylinders under bending and under combined tension and bending. The proposed method is based on the reference stress approach, where the dependence of elastic and plastic influence functions of J on the cylinder/crack geometry, the off-centred angle and strain hardening is minimised through the use of a proper normalising load. Based on published limited FE results for off-centred, circumferential through-wall cracks under bending, such normalising load is found, based on which the reference stress based J estimates are proposed for more general cases, such as for a different cylinder geometry and for combined loading. Comparison of the estimated J with extensive FE J results shows overall good agreements for different crack/cylinder geometries and for combined tension and bending, which provides sufficient confidence in the use of the proposed method to fracture mechanics analyses of off-centred circumferential cracks. Furthermore, the proposed method is simple to use, giving significant merits in practice.

화력 발전용 로터강의 초기 변형율이 CYCLIC 크리프 특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Initial Strain on Cyclic Creep Properties of Steam Turbine Rotor Steel)

  • The creep behaviors of 1%Cr-Mo-V and 12%Cr steam turbine rotor steels under static or cyclic load were examined at 600 and $700^{\circ}C$. The relationship between these two kinds of phenomena was studied and the experimental results were summarized as follows: 1) It is confirmed that the cyclic creep strain dependent on time is more available for creep, behavior analysis according to frequency change than that dependent on number of cycles, and the static creep, the special case of cyclic creep with stress ratio of 1 can be also more effectively analyzed by time-dependence. 2) The steady cyclic creep rate vs. the steady static creep rate, increases according to the increase of stress ratio, and this phenomena may occur on occasion of the decrease of the internal stress. 3) The initial strain affects on all the creep properties of the transient region, the steady state region and the rupture time in cyclic creep as well as static creep, and the quantitative relationships among them exist.

Estimation of Interfacial Adhesion through the Micromechanical Analysis of Failure Mechanisms in DLC Film

  • In this paper, it is intended to present more reproducible and quantitative method for adhesion assemssement. In scratch test, micromechanical analysis on the stress state beneath the indenter was carried out considering the additional blister field. The interface adhesion was quantified as work of adhesion through Griffith energy approach on the basis of the analyzed stress state. The work of adhesion for DLC film/WC-Co substrate calculated through the proposed analysis shows the identical value regardless of distinctly different critical loads measured with the change of film thickness and scratching speed. On the other hand, uniaxial loading was imposed on DCL film/Al substrate, developing the transverse film cracks perpendicular to loading direction. Since this film cracking behavior depends on the relative magnitude of adhesion strength to film fracture strength, the quantification of adhesion strength was given a trial through the micromechanical analysis of adhesion-dependence of film cracking patterns. The interface shear strength can be quantified from the measurement of strain $\varepsilon$s and crack spacing $\lambda$ at the cessation of film cracking.

0.5Tm 이하에서의 AZ31 마그네슘 합금 크리이프 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the creep characteristic of AZ31 Mg alloy at below 0.5Tm)

  • Magnesium alloys have given high attention to the industry of light-weigh as automobile and electronics with aluminium, titanium and composite alloys due to their high strength, low specific density and good damping characteristics. But the magnesium contained structures under high temperature have the problems related to creep deformation and rupture life, which is a reason of developing the new material against creep deformation to use them safely. The purpose of this study is to predict the creep deformation mechanism and rupture time of AZ31 magnesium alloy. For this, creep tests of AZ31 magnesium alloy were done under constant creep load and temperature with the equipment including automatic temperature controller with acquisition computer. The apparent activation energy Qc, the applied stress exponent n and rupture life have been determined over the temperature range below 0.5Tm and stress range of 109~187MPa, respectively, in order to investigate the creep behavior. AZ31 Magnesium alloy identify the activation energy for creep deformation and the stress dependence to creep rate at below 0.5Tm, and then investigate the mechanism for creep deformation and creep rupture life of AZ31 Magnesium alloy.

直交 異方性 無限平版 內部의 圓孔周圍 龜裂 解析 (Analysis of cracks emanating from a circular hole in an orthotropic infinite plate)

  • 본 연구에서는 참고문헌 (16)과 (17)에서 등방성과 이방성에 각각 처음으로 제시한 수정 사상 선점법(modified mapping-collocation method)을 이용해서 직교 이 방성 무한 평판 내부의 원공 주위 균열 문제에 대한 혼합모우드 응력 강도 계수를 구 하고자 한다. 본 문제는 기하학적으로 복잡하고 재료의 이방성이 강하기 때문에 해 가 아직 보고되어 있지 않다. 먼저 이론적 해석을 전개함으로써 규열 면에서의 무부 하 조건과 무한점에서의 경계 조건을 완전하게 만족시킨다. 그 후 나머지 원공 경계 에 최소 자승 선점 과정(least square collocation procedure)을 적용하여 근사해를 얻게 된다. 균열 선단 응력 특이성에 미치는 원공 경계 및 이방성의 효과를 알아보 기 위해서 여러가지 형태의 적층판에 대한 응력 강도 계수를 무차원화된 균열 길이의 함수로 나타내 보았다.

Stress Dependence of Thermal Stability of Nickel Silicide for Nano MOSFETs

  • The thermal stability of nickel silicide with compressively and tensilely stressed nitride capping layer has been investigated in this study. The Ni (10 nm) and Ni/Co/TiN (7/3/25 nm) structures were deposited on the p-type Si substrate. The stressed capping layer was deposited using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) after silicide formation by one-step rapid thermal process (RTP) at $500^{\circ}C$ for 30 sec. It was found that the thermal stability of nickel silicide depends on the stress induced by the nitride capping layer. In the case of Ni (10 nm) structure, the high compressive sample shows the best thermal stability, whereas in the case of Ni/Co/TiN (7/3/25 nm) structure, the high compressive sample shows the worst thermal stability.
