  • To application Arrhenius model for OLED's lifetime, it's needed in high temperature test. Because OLED's character is changed in high temperature, it's important to find limit temperature. We found out $40^{\circ}C$ is proper temperature by result of tests. But that is not enough acceleration to apply in practical affairs. We find new stress to get a bigger accelerated constant.

  • Influences of hold time and stress ratio on cyclic creep properties of Grade 91 steel were systemically investigated using a wide range of cyclic creep tests, which were performed with hold times (HTs) of 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes and stress ratios (R) of 0.5, 0.8, 0.85, 0.90, and 0.95 under tension loading cycles at $600^{\circ}C$. Under the influence of HT, the rupture time increased to HT = 5 minutes at R = 0.90 and R = 0.95, but there was no influence at R = 0.50, 0.80, and 0.85. The creep rate was constant regardless of an increase in the HT, except for the case of HT = 5 minutes at R = 0.90 and R = 0.95. Under the influence of stress ratio, the rupture time increased with an increase in the stress ratio, but the creep rate decreased. The cyclic creep led to a reduction in the rupture time and an acceleration in the creep rate compared with the case of monotonic creep. Cyclic creep was found to depend dominantly on the stress ratio rather than on the HT. Fracture surfaces displayed transgranular fractures resulting from microvoid coalescence, and the amount of microvoids increased with an increase in the stress ratio. Enhanced coarsening of the precipitates in the cyclic creep test specimens was found under all conditions.

  • It was performed that the seismic response analysis using seismic magnitude and concrete dam type(Model-1, Model-2) on dynamic behavior properties of concrete dam. As a results of each seismic magnitude acted on concrete dam, the maximum response acceleration at dam crest was amplified about 3, 5-4 times and maximum displacement and stress at dam crest of Model-2 was larger than Model-1. So, it can be recommended that codified-seismic coefficient method is proper in case of seismic design of concrete dam and Model-1 is better than Model 2 in consideration of stability in displacement and stress of design of concrete dam.

  • In this paper, we propose goodness of fit test statistics for exponentiality in accelerated life tests data based on KullbackLeibler information functions. This acceleration model is assumed to be a tampered random variable model. The procedure is applicable when the exponential parameter using the data from accelerated life tests is or is not specified under null hypothesis. And we compare the power of the proposed test statistics with KolmogorovSmirnov, Cramer von Mises and AndersonDarling statistics in the small sample.

This acceleration model is assumed to be a tampered random variable model. The procedure is applicable when the exponential parameter based on the data from accelerated life tests is or is not specified under null hypothesis. Using Simulations, the power of the proposed test based on use condition of accelerated life test under alternatives is compared with that of other standard tests in the small sample.

  • This paper presents accelerated degradation test plans considering adoption of tightened critical values. Under arandom coefficient degradation rate and log-linear acceleration models, the asymptotic variance of an estimatorfor a lifetime quantile at the use condition as the optimization criterion is derived where the degradation ratefollows a lognormal and Reciprocal Weibull distributions, respectively and then the low stress level andproportions ofunits allocated to each stress level are determined. We also show that the developed test plans canbe applied to the multiplicative model with measurement error.

  • In this paper, we propose three estimators of Kullback-Leibler Information functions using the data from accelerated life tesb. This acceleration model is assumed to be a tampered random variable model. Some asymptotic properties of proposed estimators are proved. Simulations are performed for comparing the small sample properties of the proposed estimators under use condition of accelerated life test.

  • Numerical investigations have been conducted on the assessment of the performance of drug-eluting stent. Computational fluid dynamics is applied to investigate the flow disturbances and drug distributions released from the stent in the immediate vicinity of the given idealized stent in the protrusion into the flow domain. Our simulations have revealed the drug concentration in the flow field due to the presence of a drug-eluting stent within an arterial segment. Wall shear stress increases with Reynolds number for a given stent diameter, while it increases with stent diameter for a given Reynolds number. The drug concentration is dependent on both Reynolds number and stent geometry. In pulsatile flow, the minimum drug concentration in the zone of inter-wire spacing occurs at the maximum acceleration of the inlet flow while the maximum drug concentration gains at the maximum deceleration of the inlet flow. These results provide an understanding of the flow physics in the vicinity of drug-eluting stents and suggest strategies for optimal performance of drug-eluting stent to minimize flow disturbance.

  • One of the spring-link mechanisms, the air circuit breaker(ACB), was studied to improve the shock-proof characteristics of it. The low-cycle fatigue fracture phenomenon was occurred on the critical link, called h-link, of ACB for the repeated rapid closing and opening operations. To analyze the cause of failure, dynamic FE-analysis on the h-link part of ACB was accomplished with considered the velocity and acceleration of the links per time as boundary conditions, which were obtained by using ADAMS. Then, to reduce the maximum tensile stress on the h-link, three types of h-link were suggested and one of them was selected. Fmm this study, we suggested the process of analysis on the high-speed motion behavior part related low-cycle fatigue fractures.

  • Starting with the meaning of the word quality, diverse concepts connoted by the term are examined. Instead of a bathtub curve, the desirable shape of a failure rate covering the entire life of a good product, which might be called hockey-stick line, is introduced. From the hockey-stick line and the definition of reliability, two measurements are extracted. The terms r-reliability (failure rate) and durability (product life) are explained. The conceptual analysis of failure mechanics explains that reliability technology pertains to design area. The desirable shape of hazard rate curve of electronic items, hockey-stick line, clarifies that Mean-Time-to-failure (MTTF) as the inverse of failure rate can be regarded a nominal life. And Bx life, different from MTTF, is explained. Reliability relationships between components and set products are explained. Reshaped definitions of r-reliability and durability are recommended. The procedure to improve reliability and the reasons for failing to identify failure mode are clarified in order to search right solutions. And generalized Life-Stress failure model is recommended for the calculation of acceleration factor.
