bottom ash has difficult in recycling because of low activity and unburned carbon. so our study was control the unburned carbon for improvement of bottom ash. unburned carbon was controlled by distribution. The result of distribution is good that unburned carbon of bottom ash decrease in 4.5%. when we are replace bottom ash with OPC to 10$\sim$30%, specimens strength is decrease. but mix of controlled bottom ash revealed that it's strength increase 6% better than uncontrolled bottom ash.
The densification behaviro and resulting properties of cordierite-aluminium titanate composites containing 5 to 40wt.% aluminium titanate were investigated. Compared with cordierite monolithics a substantial increase of sintering temperature range for composites was observed, which was due to the formation of cordierite and glass phase at relatively low temperatures. The bending strength of composites showed its maximum at 30wt.% aluminium titanate content, which was about 50% increase relative to the cordierite monolithics, then decreased by a small amount at 40wt.% aluminium titanate content. The decrease was explained by the increase of microcracks whose presence was confirmed by the hysteresis of thermal expansion curve of composites. However, the microcracks formed was not severe enough to produce a significant decrease in strength, which was also evidenced by the continuous increase of thermal expansion coefficient up to 40wt.% aluminium titanate content.

This research aims to measure mechanical tensile properties of CFRP composites for cryogenic tank material. Through the cryogenic chamber, tensile tests are peformed under cryogenic temperature for graphite/epoxy fabric specimen aged at $-150^{\circ}C$ for 30hrs with load and graphite/epoxy unidirectional specimen 3-cycled from RT to $-100^{\circ}C$ with load. For graphite/epoxy fabric specimen, tensile modulus showed to increase after aging at cryogenic temperature(CT) while to decrease after aging at room temperature(RT) and tensile strength is more decreased after CT-aged than at RT-aged. For graphite/epoxy unidirectional specimen, tensile modulus was almost not changed after 3-cycling but strength showed the trend of decrease as increase the number of cycling.
Microstructure and mechanical properties of the low pressure die-cast Al wheels were investigated by microscope, image analyzer, NDT (non-destructive test), and tensile test. The variation of SDAS (secondary dendrite arm spacing), porosity per unit area, quality grade, and tensile properties with the mold temperatures were examined. SDAS was gradually decreased with a decrease in temperature. However, the lowest value of porosity per unit area was observed at the mold temperature of $405^{\circ}C$ and the optimum mold temperature was found to be $405^{\circ}C$. Besides, from the observation of pore morphology, it was also found that the pore formation was mainly caused by shrinkage during solidification. The tensile strength, elongation, and impact toughness were markedly decreased, however the yield strength was nearly constant. The decrease of mechanical properties is attributed to the increase of porosity.
The effects of Ce on the mechanical alloying behavior and the thermal stability of Al-8wt.%Fe were investigated. The steady states of Al-8wt.%Fe and Al-8wt.%Fe-4wt.%Ce powders with 1.5 wt.% stearic acid as a process control agent were reached after mechanical alloying for 1000 minuties and 1300 minuties respectively at the conditions of the impeller revolving velocity of 300 rpm and the ball to powder input ratio of 50 : 1. The hardness of Al-8wt.%Fe specimen hot extruded and isothermally aged at various temperatures for up to 1000 hours decreased rapidly at 50$0^{\circ}C$ and its high temperature ultimate tensile strength began to decrease at 40$0^{\circ}C$ with increasing aging time. The decrease in the hardness and ultimate tensile strength of the specimen were reduced substantially by addition of Ce. It was thought to be due to the formation of thermally stable A14Ce and All3Fe3Ce intermetallic compounds.
Environment-dependent fatigue life of Cu-Cd alloy wires used as messenger wires was investigated. Tensile test results showed the decrease of tensile strength and elongation of messenger wires by 3.7% and 16.8%, respectively, in used specimens when compared to new ones. Messenger wires used at industrial region for 26 yeras showed 35∼50% decrease in fatigue life, which is partly due to the in stress concentrations by formation of corrosion products at the surface. Single wires showed better fatigue properties than stranded wires, especially at low cycle regions with higher stresses. Stranded wires showed shorter fatigue lives than single wires because of friction between wires by surface contact. Service life of messenger wires was dependent upon the environments which they were exposed to. SO$_2$ and humidity deteriorated the fatigue properties by environmental degradation.
This paper presents tension stiffening effect of Reinforced concrete members obtained from experimental results on direct tension and bending. From the direct tension test program, crack patterns were investigated with tension softening behaviors of concrete. Tension stiffening effects and losses of strain energy were, also, analyzed from the load-deflection curve with the main experimental variables such as concrete strength, yielding stress and reinforcement ratio of rebar. Tension stiffening effect of RC members increase linearly until the first crack initiate, decrease inversely with number of cracks, and then decrease rapidly when splitting cracks are happened. The tension stiffening effect is shown to be more important at the member of lower reinforcement than that of higher. Therefore, it necessitates to consider the tension stiffening effects at a nonlinear analysis. From the above analysis, a tension stiffening model of concrete is proposed and verified by applying it to bending members. From the numerical analysis by finite element approach, it is shown that the proposed model evaluates a little higher in analyzing at nonlinear region of high strength concrete, but, perform satisfactorily in general.

The effects of polymer-binder ratio, antifoamer content and shrinkage-reducing agent content on the air content and strengths of high-fluidity polymer-modified pastes are examined. As a result, the air content of the polymer-modified pastes tends to decrease with increasing polymer-binder ratio and antifoamer content. Irrespective of the antifoamer content, the flexural and tensile strengths of the high-fluidity polymer-modified pastes tends to increase with increasing polymer-binder ratio, and tend to decrease with increasing shrinkage-reducing agent content. However, the compressive strength of the polymer-modified pastes decreases with increasing polymer-binder ratio and shrinkage-reducing agent content.

This study examined plant adhesion characteristics of the porous concrete that used specially treated granular fertilizer for field application, which was used for the restoration of the marine ecosystem. The results of the experiment showed that nutrient eruption amount, the destruction and dissolution ratio tended to decrease when the coating thickness was increased. The void ratio and compressive strength tended to decrease when the specially treated granular fertilizer mixing ratio was increased. According to these results, the appropriate thickness of coating for cement coated granular fertilizer was 1.0mm. The adhesion ability of marine plant to porous concrete was superior when the cement coated granular fertilizer was mixed. Therefore, the appropriate cement coated granular fertilizer mixing ratio of 20% with a coating thickness of 1.0mm is thought to be a factor when considering the strength of the porous concrete for marine ecosystem restoration and the adhesion characteristics of marine plant.

In this paper the controlled closing algorithm of the circuit breaker for isolated capacitor banks is proposed. The characteristics of circuit breakers such as RDDS(rate of decrease of dielectric strength) and a mechanical operating tolerance should be also taken into account to locate contact touch instants around voltage zero. The analysis results on the voltages across circuit breaker terminals upon closing operation play an important roles to describe the suggested method. The simulations carried out in order to verify the performance of this method show that the closing instants obtained from the proposed method provide a good suppression effect on the closing transients for both single and back-to-back capacitor banks.
