가로경관에 대한 감성평가모형 적용 분석 연구 (An analysis on streetscape using the Model of Emotion Evaluation)

  • 본 연구에서는 감성분석기법이 환경평가에 적극 적용되어지면서 쓰이는 감성평가모형을 선행연구조사와 실험을 통해 두 가지 축약형 모형과 추론형 모형으로 구분하였다. 또한 두 가지 유형의 대표 모형인 EPA모형과 PAD모형의 평가어휘들의 특성을 실험을 통해 분석해 본 결과, 두 모형은 개발방식과 어휘구성에 큰 차이가 있고, 요인분석을 통해 어휘들이 모형별로 축약되는 것을 확인하였으며, 유사성 관계를 다차원척도법으로 분석한 결과 서로 관계성이 어느 정도 성립되는 것을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 감성평가모형이 감성평가에 사용될 때는 한쪽으로 치우치기 보다는 모형의 특징을 분석하여 적용하면 보다 객관적인 이미지 분석이 가능함을 알 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 가로경관 환경평가로만 국한되었다면, 다양한 분야에서의 평가대상이 비교될 수 있는 감성평가모형에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

解防後 韓國의 都市景觀 變遷 및 그 要因 硏究 - 서울을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Changes and Influencing Factors fo Townscape in Korea since 1945)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how the urban landscape of Korea, especially Seoul, changed during the last half century since 1945. The modernization of Korea, which had begun in 1960's after the chaotic period caused by Korean War, influenced the rapid growth of cities and the radical changes of its structures. But the Western-minded planning theories based on rationalism and positivism was directly applied in developing our traditional cities and consequently the modern urban landscape including urban pattern, architectural style, and commercial and residential landscape revealed disharmony, discrepancy and inconsistency in skylines, streetscape and so on. The findings are summarized as follows. 1. Because the urban structure and pattern changed in undesirable manner in terms of land use and traffic circulation, cities as a whole resulted in exclusive and heterogeneous landscape, and citizens lost their identity and felt alienated. 2. Because the architectural forms of important and monumental buildings which influenced the character of streetscape were not so successful in inventing contemporary Korean Style in true sense, we still have difficulty in creating the urban landscape of originality and legibility. 3. Because from the beginning of this era almost all highrise buildings were designed by modernism-oriented western architects, the commercial landscape of central cities did not evoke a sense of place, and after the introduction of postmodernism this tendency is ore striking even in everyday ordinary streetscape. 4. The newly formed residential landscape which was mainly composed of highly dense and highrise apartment, not only evolved very overwhelming and ugly visual impact but also exposed many social problems in living condition, neighboring and face-to-face contact. In conclusion, in ordr to define the 'Koreanness' of our urban landscape, we have to struggle to combine traditional architectural heritage and native townscape with Western shape, thought and theory, no matter how difficult it may be.

  • 최근 들어 지방자치제 활성화 방침과 더불어 도시의 특성화가 활발해지고 있다. 도시의 이미지를 만들기 위해서는 가로 경관이 절대적인 요인이 된다고 볼 수 있고, 또한 많은 가로가 이러한 목적을 가지고 디자인되어지고 있다. 가로경관을 특성화하는 데는 여러 요인이 포함되나, 그 중 파사드(가로입면)는 가장 일차적인 요소이다. 본 연구의 목적은 각 지역의 바람직한 특성으로 정체성을 확보하는 방안을 찾아내기 위함이고, 이를 위하여 지역별 가로의 입면이 조사분석 되었다. 조사대상 지역으로는 가로의 기능과 성격이 서로 상이하여 가로의 특성화가 나타날 것이라 예상되는 전통가로지역(서울, 종로구, 인사동), 아파트 주거단지 상가지역(서울, 강남구, 압구정동), 개발 신도시지역(대전, 서구, 둔산동)을 선정하였고, 이들 각 지역의 조사 분석된 건물입면 요소는 창문, 입구, 사인물, 쇼윈도우, 출입문, 차양 등이며, 각 요소별로 색상, 재질, 형태, 구조 등의 유형분석이 이루어졌다.

아로요 파크웨이 조경설계 (Streetscape Design of Arroyo Parkway, Pasadena, California)

  • The Pasadena Freeway follows the Arroyo Seco through foothills and scenic passes to link Downtown Los Angeles with Pasadena. The approximately 10 mile road was the first freeway built in the West during the 1930's and is today designated as a Historic Parkway. As it approaches Pasadena, it terminates at a traffic light intersection at Glenarm Street, and then becomes a commercial road the Arroyo Parkway. This one and a quarter mile long, north south road moves significant volumes of traffic both into and out of Pasadena. The Arroyo Parkway is thus a major 'gateway' and an important axis of orientation and movement, terminating in the City's core civic, commercial and retail district. Planting, lighting, signage, paving, furnishing and fixtures ought to all be properly designed and coordinated to create a distinctive 'gateway' experience arriving to Pasadena and driving along the Arroyo Parkway. Alternate design studies, developed in discussion with City officials and others involved in the redevelopment of the area, would need to be done to properly decide on the best direction. Issues of heritage and traditional streetscape will likely have to be reconciled with both the reality of the vehicular character of the road and more contemporary themes. Obviously with such large parcels of property available in the Arroyo Fair Oaks corridor, there is a huge potential for redevelopment and building. This potential would only be strengthened by the Light Rail Line and its stations, the improvements to the Arroyo Parkway, and the redevelopment of the Arts Center College of Design. Guides and controls to the development process, including programming and physical design studies, would need to be developed in order to ensure that the maximum potential for the corridor be realized. This concept proposal suggests that the whole strip might be developed as a Arts and Technology corridor, with special emphases on education, public culture, media and lifestyle. The full programming possibilities need to be further developed. Additionally, appropriate urban design guidelines to ensure high quality development also need to be incorporated into an overall development plan.

항구 가로경관의 기호학적 분석 - 영덕군 강구항을 중심으로 - (A Semiotic Study on Streetscape in Harbor - With A Special Reference to Gang-Gu Harbor of Young-Duk Gun -)

  • 본 연구는 문화현상을 기호의 체계로 설명할 수 있다는 기호론의 기본개념을 근거로 항구의 가로경관에 대한 특성을 밝히고자 한다. 항구경관의 인공적 요소들 중에서 가로경관을 구성하는 중요한 요소들을 문화현상을 전달하는 기호로 보았다. 기호학적 접근방식은 경관분석 과정에서 심리적 요인에 영향을 받기 때문에 경관의 물리적 특성을 이해하는데 주로 이용되었다. 연구대상지의 가로는 영덕군 강구항의 강구리와 오포리 가로이다. 가로의 간판 문자언어를 업종에 따라서는 17개의 업종으로, 의미론적으로는 13개의 의미로 분류하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주된 업종으로는 음식업이 강구리가 56.3%, 오포리는 61.8%를 차지하고 있었다. 둘째로, 강구항 가로의 기호론적 의미는 주로 지역의 장소를 뜻하고, 사람들이 쉽게 부르고 기억하기 좋은 애칭을 뜻한다. 음식업종이 가장 많은 것은 이 지역 특산물인 영덕대게와 밀접한 관계가 있을 것으로 본다. 또한 지역의 이름은 영덕대게의 상징성으로부터 나온 것이며, 사람들의 애칭은 판매고를 높이는 것과 관련된 것으로 사료된다. 끝으로 기호학적 접근은 가로경관의 전부를 포괄할 수는 없지만, 항구도시의 가로경관의 골격을 이해할 수 있는 언어적 도구라는 점에서 매우 유용할 것으로 보인다.

한·중 전통을 주제로 한 가로경관색채 비교연구 - 서울 인사동, 상해 신천지(新天地)를 중심으로 - (A Study on Comparison of the Color Characteristics in Traditional Streetscape between South Korea and China - Focused on Insadong Seoul and Xintiandi Shanghai-)

  • 본 연구 대상지는 한국의 전통과 문화를 상징해 줄 수 있는 공간인 서울 시 인사동과 중국의 역사적 가치가 많이 나타나는 전통거리인 상해 시 신천지를 선정하였다. 경관구성요소인 건축입면, 옥외광고물, 바닥포장, 가로시설물을 4가지 항목으로 구분하여 정량적 색채 분석을 시도한 결과, 전체적으로 인사동의 색상은 Y(Yellow), YR(Yellow)계열에 가장 높은 분포를 보이는 것에 비하여, 신천지는 무채색의 비율이 상대적으로 높게 나타나고 있다. 색조에서는 인사동의 경우 Dk(Dark) 색조의 사용빈도가 상대적으로 높은 반면, 신천지는 고명도인 P(Pure), L(Light) 색조와 중명도, 저채도인 Gr(Grayish) 색조에서 높게 나타나고 있다. 이런 색채 특성을 종합해 보면 전통적 의미의 상징보다는 도시 전체적 이미지에 더 큰 비중을 두고 있는 것을 알 수 있으며, 따라서 이를 통해 향후 양국의 도심지 가로경관의 색채특성에 개선해야 할 방향을 모색하고자 한다. 이러한 한국과 중국 전통적 가로경관의 배색 차이점은 두 나라 건축공간의 배경, 나아가서 양국 문화의 차이점을 이해하는데 중요한 근거가 될 것이며, 추후 이러한 비교연구가 더욱 폭 넓게 진행된다면 현대적 문화표현을 이해하는 데에도 유용한 자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.

도시가로 경관에 있어 환경조형물의 이미지 및 시각적 선호도 분석 (An Analysis on the Image and Visual Preference of the Environmental Sculpture in Urban Streetscapes)

  • The purpose of this paper is to discover the Image and Visual Preference of the Environmental Sculpture in Urban Streetscape. For this, the analysis was preformed by the data obtained from questionnaires and from the photos of the environmental sculptures scene. The landscape image was analyzed by the factor analysis algorithm. The level of visual preference was measured by a slide simulation test, and this data was analyzed by multiple regression. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: The visual preference of the environmental sculpture has been evaluated to average 4.03 on a scale of 7 Landscape slides No. 11 and No.5 were ranked more highly for visual preference. Factors formulating the landscape image were found to be 'beauty', 'orderliness', 'emotion', and 'formation'. By using the control method for the number of factors, T.V., were obtained as 63.0%. For all experimental landscape slides, the factor of orderliness was found to be the main factor determining the visual preference. The 4 factors for visual preference were analyzed by regression as follows: Visual Preference = 3.996 + 0.341(FS1) + 0.595(FS2) + 0.222(FS3) + 0.011(FS4), R-Square = 0.520.

  • This study has the purpose to investigate the landscape plans focused on the public sector housing complexes in the Seoul Metropolitan Area in the 2000s. The targeted subjects of this study are 24 districts conducted by the Corporation, and the spatial extent is limited to Seoul metropolitan area. The scope of the research is limited to the public sector, because this sector has been conducted preferentially for public needs rather than the development profit, and has positively reflected the will "pre plan - post development". In view of the study methodologies, this study examined the transition process in Korea housing complex and analyzed the design reports to extract the key planning concepts and planning methods of landscape planning. The main concepts of landscape planning analyzed in this study were urban landscape, natural landscape, streetscape, architectural landscape, axis for viewing, landmark, skyline and landscape by areas. The key planning methods of landscape planning were landmark, which is a point landscape element, axis for viewing and skyline, which are linear landscape elements, landscape by areas which is an area landscape element, and finally complex landscape, walking landscape and nightscape, which are three-dimensional landscape elements.

실내공간 디자인 요소가 가로경관에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 피맛골의 야간 경관을 중심으로 - (A Study on The Influence of Design Elements of Interior Space on Streetscape - Focused on Pimatgol -)

  • Buildings' outward appearances, sidewalks, and street lights have long been regarded as important factors identifying the street landscape of a city. On the other hand, the interior spaces of a building have been known to have less correlation with street landscape. This paper, which did not use standardized urban street landscape application methods, attempts, based on an experiment involving Pimatgol, to prove that small changes in interior design influence the street landscapes of cities and even provide new vigorousness. Pimatgol is a type of village that still possesses a traditional Korean lyrical atmosphere. This paper also attempts to, with the use of a physical model and a digital simulation of small changes interior design, such as changes in materials, size of the opening, location of furniture, or a change of lights, uncover positive changes in street landscape. Computer simulation is one of the extraordinarily useful techniques to predict lighting performance, changing interior space and present visual image. As a result, this study can be a valuable guideline for the future streetscape reform project to lead the demanding effects of the interior space.

전주시 객사길 보행자 중심 걷고 싶은 거리 설계 - 주민참여형 가로설계 - (The Walkable Street Design for 'Gaeksa-gil' of Jeonju City - Community Participatory Street Design -)

  • This paper presents a streetscape design for the 'Gaeksa-gil', located in Gosa-dong and Jungang-dong, Jeonju City, which length is about 830m and width is about $8\sim10m$. The goals of the design are to make a street on which people want to walk and rest both safely and pleasantly. To achieve these goals; concepts of identity, history, placeness, commercial vitality, environmentally-friendliness, safety, amenity , and democracy have been developed. For the pedestrian safety; shared street concepts, such as crank, salalom, fort, mini-rotary etc. are adopted. For design method, community participatory design is adapted. For the design theme; the axes of Time and Space are developed and streets are divided into 3 thematic spaces, such as 'History Street,' 'Nature Street,' and 'Culture Street.' The History Street, which belongs to Time axis, is a space for experiencing past, present, and future history of Jeonju city. Nature Street, which belongs to Space axis, is a space for feeling and loaming the nature of the city. The Culture Street, which also belongs to Space axis, is a space for experiencing the culture of the city. The community participated in the whole design process through the workshop, the internet website, the street events, etc.
