고령운전자를 고려한 도시부 교차로 기하구조 개선방안에 관한 연구 (Higher Accident Rates for Older Drivers at Specific Urban Intersections Study on the Improvement of the Road Geometry)

  • PURPOSES : With the increasing number of older drivers in an aging society, there is a growing need for research and planning on traffic safety for the older drivers using an improved road geometry design. This study also proposed a modified urban road interchange design, which aims to keep the older drivers away from accident-prone and high-traffic areas of the city. METHODS : In this study, we examined accident data records of older drivers to identify accident-prone zones and intersections; we studied the road geometry at these zones and analyzed if it was an underlying cause for higher number of accidents. Based on the research and subsequent analysis, we suggested plans for improvement of road geometry design at these intersections. RESULTS :By studying historic data and analyzing factors that affect the likelihood of accidents of vehicles driven by older drivers and after studying suitable traffic accident prediction models, we identified the major variables that need to be modified at accident-prone intersections, such as the width of a left turn lane at an intersection and the radius of the right turn lane at a street corner. The results have a significance probability of less than 0.001 and a 95% confidence level. To improve safety at the identified intersection, this study suggests the installation of a left-turn-lane-shaped Positive Offset and a right-turn-lane-shaped Slip Lane concept and an adjustment of intervals between intersections.

  • 최근 포터블 네비게이션 시장은 전년도 대비 95%이상의 성장세를 보이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 포터블 네비게이션 중에서도 보행자 네비게이션에 중점을 두고 거리쇼핑용 보행자 네비게이션의 비즈니스 모델 개발을 목표로 하고 있다. 이를 위한 선행연구로 거리쇼핑용 보행자 네비게이션을 개발하였고, 본 연구에서는 선행연구에서 개발된 거리쇼핑용 보행자 네비게이션의 비즈니스 모델을 개발함으로서 보행자 네비게이션의 활성화를 목표로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 거리쇼핑용 보행자 네비게이션의 비즈니스 모델은 거리쇼핑용 보행자 네비게이터로서 제안된 워나비 쇼나비를 구조적으로 분석하여 각 구조별로 제안될 수 있는 비즈니스 모델을 제안하고 이와 함께 워나비 쇼나비 시스템 전체의 비즈니스 모델을 통합형으로 제안하고자 한다. 이러한 워나비 쇼나비 비즈니스 모델의 제안은 보행자용 네비게이터의 활성화를 위한 하나의 방안임과 동시에 궁극적으로는 현재의 시장경제 체제하에서 완전경쟁시장으로의 전환을 목표로 한다.

건축 형태에 내재하는 사회적 가치에 대한 연구 - 낙원상가를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Social Value accumulated in the Architectural Form - In case of Nakwon Building -)

  • This study is conducted to understand the social value of Nakwon building, which has been instilled in the architecture of the building, through an analysis of formative elements unique to the center. The architectural characteristics of Nakwon building have been formed over a long period of time in relation with its surroundings and social change. Before looking into the formation of the center, this study investigates the street network planning of downtown. The street network was planned to expand in a north-south direction in order to accommodate a future increase of traffic volume as a result of industrialization and a population increase in downtown. This was manifested in expanding Samilro Street which passes through the lower part of Nakwon building, as well as in forming the architecture of the center. That is, the center has formed a symbiotic relationship with its surrounding areas, sharing space with them. The interior of the center seems to have an independent form while keeping a relationship with its external format, but it is seeking change internally in response to external change. Interior space has been departmentalized over time since its initial establishment, and the internal traffic has also been subdivided accordingly. This is attributable to the fact that social change in the neighboring areas affected the formation of Nakwon building, and that in turn contributed to forming the unique characteristics of the building. Nakwon building is one of the deteriorated buildings in downtown Seoul. However, it was built out of social need to share space within the city, and it has been changed according to social need for the 'distribution of space within the building.

역사문화거리 빈집의 장소성에 관한 연구 -중국 항저우 중산로를 중심으로- (A Study on the Placeness of Vacant Houses in the Street of Historical Culture - Focused on HangZhou Zhongshan Road -)

  • 도시의 문화유산이 가장 집중된 역사문화거리의 중심가에 비해 주변 거리의 발전은 점차 쇠퇴하는 상황을 보이고 있으며 장소성 역시 상실되고 있다. 이로 인해 많은 빈집이 발생함에 따라 역사문화지구 내 빈집에 대한 관심과 대책이 매우 시급한 상황이다. 본 연구는 중국 항저우 중산로의 빈집을 연구대상으로 삼아 장소성 이론 및 Matthew Carmona의 도시 설계의 6가지(사회적, 지각적, 기능적, 형태적, 시각적, 시간적) 차원을 적용해 이해하고, 항저우 중산로에 있는 다른 빈집의 활용 방향과 근거를 제시하기 위해서 역사문화거리에 있는 빈집의 장소성 평가 요소를 추가로 분석하였다. 연구분석 방법으로는 AHP 계층분석법을 활용하여 각 평가요소(6차원의 12가지)의 중요도를 도출하였으며, 전문가의 평가결과와 사례의 분석결과를 비교분석하였다. 연구성과는 다음과 같다. 역사문화거리의 빈집 활용의 장소성의 평가 결과, 12가지 평가 요소에는 안전성, 동일성, 사용성, 개별성, 심미성, 연계성, 다양성, 개방성, 연속성, 접근성, 질서성, 역사성이 차례대로 고려되어야 한다고 도출되었다.

둘 이상의 용도지역 등에 걸치는 대지에 대한 용적률 적용기준 변경의 정책적 효과분석 - 강남구를 중심으로 - (An Analysis of the Policy Effect on the Change of Application Standard of Floor Area Ratio for Land Covering Two or More Zoning Area - Focused on Gangnam-gu -)

  • 국토교통부는 지난 2012년 "국토의 계획 및 이용에 관한 법률"을 개정하였으며, 이를 통해 둘 이상의 용도지역에 걸치는 대지에 대한 용적률 적용기준이 변경되었다. 본 연구는 "국토의 계획 및 이용에 관한 법률" 개정에 따른 용적률 적용기준 변경의 정책적 효과 분석에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 둘 이상의 용도지역 등에 걸치는 대지라 함은 일반적으로 이해하고 있는 노선상업 또는 노선준주거 지역이다. 본 연구는 노선상업 또는 노선준주거 지역이 상대적으로 많이 입지해있는 서울의 강남구를 대상으로 정책효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 2007년부터 2017년까지 강남구에서 거래된 오피스 사례 468건이 분석에 이용되었다. 정책변경에 따른 효과를 검증한 결과 정책변경에 따른 용적률 인센티브를 받은 오피스는 그렇지 않은 오피스에 비해 19.08%의 평당 매매가격 상승이 있는 것으로 나타나 법개정에 따른 경제적 효과가 상당히 컸음을 알 수 있다. 또한 기존 정책이 둘 이상의 용도지역 등에 걸치는 대지의 소유자들의 토지이용에 대한 제약으로 작용했고 이는 곧 해당 자산이 갖고 있는 본연의 가치를 절하요인으로 작용했다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 정책변경이 둘 이상의 용도지역에 걸쳐있는 토지의 합리적 이용을 이끌어내 해당 자산 본연의 가치를 평가받고 있다는 실증적 근거를 제시했다는데 기여를 했다고 볼 수 있다.

자동비상제동 시스템의 안전성능평가 (Performance Evaluation Procedure for Advanced Emergency Braking System)

  • This paper presents a performance evaluation procedure for advanced emergency braking (AEB) system. To guarantee the performance of AEB system, AEB test scenario should contains various driving conditions which can be occurred in real driving condition. Also, performances of each elements of AEB system, such as sensor, decision, human machine interface (HMI) and control, should be evaluated in various situations. For this, driving conditions, road types, environment, and elements of AEB system were introduced. Test scenario has been designed to represent the real driving condition and to evaluate the safety performance of AEB system in various situations. To confirm that the proposed AEB test scenario is realistic and physically meaningful, vehicle test have been conducted in two cases of proposed AEB test scenario: subject vehicle cut-out scenario and narrow street turn left scenario.

Simulation of the Flow around and Estimation of The Force Exerted to a Cylindrical Body By the Discrete Vertex Method

  • Vortex shedding from a circular cylinder is simulated by means of the discrete vortex method. The shear layer emanating from the separation point is approximated as a sheet vortex which is in turn represented by a sequence of discrete vortices. The strength of these vortices is calculated from the vorticity shedding rate and introduced at a small distance off the side ($\Theta=\pm\pi/2$) of the cylinder surface in regular time step. Sheet vortex cutting, rediscretization and replacement of vortex by vortex segment are put to use to enhance stability of the sheet vortex evolution. The simulated vortex distribution pattern very well reproduces structure like the Karman vortex street. However, as for the force coefficients, the qualitative properties are correctly predicted but some more improvements are needed for the quantitative accuracy.

The Antecedents and Consequences of Effective Brand Positioning

  • This study investigates which variables most effectively influence the positioning strategy of a brand. In addition, we test the connection between the positioning strategy of the brand and loyalty. Finally, we explore how brand experience effects the relationship between brand position and brand loyalty. To this end, this study employs the street-intercept method to collect data on consumers' perception of home appliances in Japan and conducts structural equation modeling analysis to test our hypotheses. Specifically, we find that assessments of product, service, and image have a significant impact on a brand's position which, in turn, drives brand loyalty. In addition, brand experience seems to moderate the relationship between service and brand positioning effectiveness. We also find that price promotions negatively affect brand loyalty. The research provides a consumer-centered, experiential view of how firms can develop strategies to more effectively position brands and increase loyalty among their customers. These results help both academics and practitioners to better understand how consumers assess a brand's position in the marketplace.

TSM전략과 효율측정-일례연구를 중심으로 (TSM Strategies and Evaluation of Traffic Performance - Special Reference to a Case Study of Reversible Lane Technique.)

  • One important element of a systematic approach to the management and control of the flow of people over an urban street network is the monitoring and evaluation of system performance. The nature of TSM strategies that, in part, differentiates them from traditional long-range transportation improvement alternatives is that they are less costly, are more quickly implemented and modified, and are often oriented toward sub-area problems which must be addressed at a more microscopic level of analysis. These factors suggest that pre-implementation evaluations of alternative TSM actions will often have to rely on quick-turn around, manual methods of analysis to guide the choice of which management action should be implemented. This paper was prepared to focus on the definition and importance of TSM, specifically associated with monitoring and evaluating traffic performance in the context of TSM startegies. A simple case study of reversible lane technique was presented. The purposes of the case study is to illustrate the methodology of evaluating TSM strategies and demonstrate to identify the benefit from the reversible lane technique, which may otherwise be overlooked in real world. Applying the reversible lane technique to Sam-Il elevate highway, it was found to be a very promising low cost alternative to reduce total travel time(or delay) and fuel consumption.

패션리더에 대한 재고 - 팔로워로서의 대학생 관점 - (Fashion leaders revisited - The viewpoint of college students as fashion followers -)

  • As social media has become a part of daily life, new types of online opinion leaders are emerging, and in turn, changes in traditional fashion leaders and leadership are expected. Considering such changes, this study attempted to reexamine fashion leader types and influence characteristics from the perspective of college students as fashion followers. Students were asked to write an essay identifying their fashion leader and how and why they were influenced by him or her. Sixty essays entitled "My Fashion Leader" were collected and content-analyzed. A total of 78 fashion leaders were identified and categorized into four types including celebrities, social media influencers, friends/family/acquaintances, and people seen on the street in order of frequency. Influence characteristics of the identified fashion leaders included superiority, role model, similarity, and familiarity. Similarity was observed across all types of fashion leaders, while superiority and familiarity were identified for celebrities and friends/family/acquaintances, respectively. The results imply that celebrities, mostly those from the TV, movie, and music industries, are still important as fashion leaders in society regardless of their communication style, while friends/family/acquaintances as opinion leaders within a consumer group are important to provide information, advice, and help. However, social media influencers between the two groups are expanding the influence.
