An Urban Regeneration Project for Making New CBD of Northeastern Seoul: The Case Study of the Changdong & Sanggye Project

  • Although Changdong Sanggye area has been developed during 1980s as a new city for the supply of low-income housing, currently it was degraded to a bed town located outside Seoul. However, Changdong Sanggye area is designated as the center of a metropolitan area in '2030 Seoul City Basic Plan' due to a variety of potential factors such as a traffic center for linking metropolitan areas, location of 15 universities, and neighboring natural environment like Jungnang stream and Buckhan mountain. The purpose of urban regeneration plan is to create a new CBD of Changdong Sanggye which is the center of vocational and cultural lives of 3.2 million people in the northeastern metropolitan area. To achieve the purpose, 12 unit projects and 24 sub-unit projects are set up based on the three major goals and core strategies. An enterprise project team of northeastern area was newly founded and then a dedicated organization was established by the Seoul government in 2015 in order to integrate separated urban regeneration related functions. In the Seoul government an administrative council and a project promotion council are operated for consultation and coordination between the administrative divisions and government projects for urban regeneration. Through the success in Changdong Sanggye regeneration project, they are expected to have economic effects such as job creation and increase in tax revenue and to re-vitalize the area as a new economic center in northeastern Seoul having amenities and cultural facilities and waterfront parks.

  • In the modern Society, the human's way of thinking as well as the new cultural creation has been changing by bringing on a change rapidly. The moderns are demanding humanity and the new cultural cretion through the exchange between the old things and new things by setting material before everything else. The latest trends of today had an effect on the fashion Illustration, a new art category, which gives a new image. This report of research has a purpose which expresses korean images by connecting the korean tradition style to the modern fashion. And we are concerned about the national culture and tradition with the international stream. For this reason I studied these for the purpose of expanding expression area of sewing techniques by applying to fashion Illustration expressing handcraft techniques by natural beauty improving the modern and traditional images, updating, and succeeding to tradition. As the way of studying and contents, I referred to the inside and outside of the country's literatures, these, publications, magazines, or the internet sufing. Firstly, as the theoretical study, I studied a conception and history of the fashion Illustration. I studied the theoretical background of the sewing techniques through the histories, tools, and techniques. The theoretical background of the sewing handicraft is studied through the colors, patterns, materials and sorts. I also and indicated the various works by the domestic designers.

There is iCOD with representative service of broadcast and communication Convergence. This the superhigh speed Internet about under using is the service which provides information service, the video contents and broadcasting and others with TV. But this service when it searches broadcasting information of different Channel, again must analyze the stream of broadcasting there is a problem point. This thesis hereupon iCOD broadcasting services it searched efficiently from the terminal and in order the fact that it selects from iCOD broadcasting streams SI information about under extracting SD&S base iPG XML documents it created and it transmits with the distant mote cast the method which and it planned it embodied.

Analysis of the Influence of Environmental Factors on the Density of Ecosystem-Disturbing Plant Sicyos angulatus - Centering on Miho Stream - (생태계교란 식물 가시박의 개체밀도에 대한 환경요인 영향 분석 - 금강수계 미호천을 중심으로 -)

  • This research analyzed the relationship between environmental factors and the density of Sycios angulatus in the Miho Stream, Geum River water system in order to secure basic data for the control of the ecosystem-distrubing plant Sycios angulatus. As a result of the soil particle size analysis of Sycios angulatus habitat, it was found that the density of Sycios angulatus decreased as the silty and clay contents increased. Most of the Sycios angulatus habitats had high sandy and silt content, and low clay content of less than 2%. The increased flow rate reduced the density of Sicyos angulatus. This is because when the flow rate is increased, the Sicyos angulatus cannot grow due to the change in soil characteristics. Water quality plays a role in supplying nutrients when Sicyos angulatus are submerged. However, due to the change in soil characteristics during flooding, the density of Sicyos angulatus tended to decrease due to impaired growth. The Sicyos angulatus can be managed through artificial and natural techniques. The appropriate natural control technique is the creation of a natural waterway in the habitats to change the water contents.

A Study on the Construction Characteristics of Dongcheon in the Traditional Space of Landscape Architecture (전통조경공간(傳統造景空間)에서 나타난 동천(洞天)의 조영(造營) 특성(特性))

  • This research is attempted to investigate Dongcheon-rock inscription- to understand symbolic meanings from inscribed texts and to find its construction purpose. For the investigation, 25 target areas were selected for field exploration and literature review regarding Dongcheon were also performed. Several design characteristics of Dongcheon are as follows: First, Dongcheon has four criteria according to creation purpose: residential type(家居地型), hermitage type(隱棲地型), nature excursion type(山水遊覽型), aesthetic scenery type(勝景型), moral training type(修身型) and spiritual discipline type(修道地型). This category shows that Dongcheon is constructed at residential area, shelters, and place for leisure, mortal training and spiritual discipline. Second, Dongcheon is also classified by its location: location on village entrance in a deep forest(深山同口型) and location on near stream(溪流隣接型); location on near stream has also two types(連繫型, 單一領域型): location on an independent territory and location horizontal ground(平地型). Through garden creators' managing their garden in forest, valley and scenic spots, they pursue utopia. Third, naming is a way to create new landscape places. By naming a certain natural landscape as Dongcheon, the landscape is symbolized as utopia, appearing fairyland. Designer's desire and thoughts are saturated in Dongcheon.

  • This research was carried out for analyzing watershed and river topography. The method based on experience and map was mainly used, but derived data are too much to effectively analyze. Therefore some researchers have introduced computer system using GIS technique and remote sensing data. This research used GIS and remote sensing technique for classifying and analyzing watershed and river topography. Also dendrochronology method was introduced for guessing the creation times of deposits. Stream order map, sub-basin delineation map, river-bed microtopograpy were produced through this research. These results may be used in planning for Donggang conservation.

Effect of Methodologies for Laser-Induced Plasma Creation on Hydrogen Sensing (레이저 유도 플라스마 생성 방법이 수소 검출에 미치는 영향)

  • As promising future energy source, hydrogen has been drawing much attention; however, it is easily leaked from the small gap in any storage container due to its find molecule size. In this study, Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) was used for hydrogen leak detection, and feasibility of the scheme was evaluated based on different way for plasma generation. Laser power of 295 mW was required for generating plasma on metal surface to measure hydrogen atomic emission while approximately 2.5 times higher laser power was needed for plasma formation directly in the hydrogen gas stream. It was shown that peak to base ratio increased linearly with increasing the concentration of hydrogen. It can be concluded that LIBS is a viable technique for hydrogen sensing when the concentration of hydrogen is less than 5%.

  • Traditionally, economic growth has been uneven over the space. It has also been true for the recovery from social and economic crisis in old industrial areas of the advanced economies. Even if many of such old industrial areas were seriously affected by de-industrialization, some areas have been showing progress, while others have not been so. While interpreting this phenomenon used to be a key issue in economics, main stream liberal economic theorists' explanation was uneven distribution of economic resources, such as raw materials, labour and money. However, some revolutionary economic theorists have brought in the concept of "history" in explaining the phenomenon. Path dependence theorists, for example, interpretate the emergence of different growth paths with the concept of historical accidents. This contrasts to the recent argument of the group of scholars suggesting the concept of "regional resilience," who argue that uneven growth and different growth paths are originated from different regional resilience. This paper introduces the backgrounds, characteristics and utilities of the two theories: path dependence theory and the concept of regional resilience.

Creation of Natural Terrain by Erosion Simulation (자연스러운 지형 생성을 위한 침식 시뮬레이션)

  • Existing hydraulic terrain erosion simulations mainly focus on small scale terrain deformations. In this paper, we propose a simulation method combining hydraulic terrain erosion and thermal erosion, by which a natural large scale terrain of mountainous regions with river networks can be created. For water movement we use the pipe model of shallow water simulation, and for the easy formation of watercourse we use velocity dependent erosion, also we apply thermal erosion for the formation of V-form slopes in the vicinity of stream lines. As a result, we can obtain good natural shaped terrains for certain ranges of $K_c$(sediment capacity constant) and $K_v$(velocity dependent erosion strength) values. Also we present improved thermal erosion method, and suggest a way to avoid problems caused by large $K_c$value.

Design and Implementation of a Web Security System using a Chaos Cipher Algorithm (카오스 암호화 알고리즘을 이용한 웹 보안 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, a new stream cipher algorithm based on the chaos theory is proposed and is applied to a Web security system. The Web security system is composed of three parts: certificate authority (CA), Web client, and Web server. The Web client and server system include a secure proxy client (SPC) and a secure management server (SMS), respectively, for data encryption and decryption between them. The certificate is implemented based on X.509 and the RSA public key algorithm is utilized for key creation and distribution to certify both the client and server. Once a connection is established between the client and server, outgoing and incoming data are encrypted and decrypted, respectively, using one of the three cipher algorithms: chaos, SEED, and DES. The proposed chaos algorithm outperforms the other two conventional algorithms in processing time and complexity. Thus, the developed Web security system can be widely used in electronic commerce (EC) and Internet banking.
