The harmonious lip length, residual scar and Cupid's bow width and peak with a normal side are the aims of a unilateral cleft lip repair. Also, long term amelioration without necessary of revisional surgeries may be the ideal conditions. No one method can satisfy the wide varieties of cleft lip deformities. Recently with rearrangement of paraoral muscle and some modifications, a straight line repair technique has been concerned again. Straight scar line, simplicity, and short learning curve are the advantages of the straight line technique. Here two cases of the simple straight line technique were presented and discussed for its usefulness and reliability with short reviews of previous reports.

Traumatic cleft earlobes are a common problem encountered by plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Various techniques have been reported for the repair of traumatic cleft earlobes. Usually, the techniques of split earlobe repair are divided into two categories, namely straight- and broken-line repairs. Straight-line repair is simple and easy, but scar contracture frequently results in notching of the inferior border of the lobule. It can be avoided by the broken-line repair such as Z-plasty, L-plasty, or a V-shaped flap. Between April 2016 and February 2017, six patients who presented with traumatic cleft earlobe underwent surgical correction using a combination of the inverted V-shaped excision technique and vertical mattress suture method. All the patients were female and had a unilateral complete cleft earlobe. No postoperative notching of the inferior border the lobule occurred during 6-16 months of follow-up. Without the use of a broken-line repair, both the patients and the operators attained aesthetically satisfactory results. Therefore, the combination of the inverted V-shaped excision technique and vertical mattress suture method is considered useful in the treatment of traumatic cleft earlobes.

Craniofacial cleft is a rare disease, and has multiple variations with a wide spectrum of severity. Among several classification systems of craniofacial clefts, the Tessier classification is the most widely used because of its simplicity and treatment-oriented approach. We report the case of a Tessier number 3 cleft with wide soft tissue and skeletal defect that resulted in direct communication among the orbital, maxillary sinus, nasal, and oral cavities. We performed soft tissue reconstruction using the straight-line advanced release technique that was devised for unilateral cleft lip repair. The extension of the lateral mucosal and medial mucosal flaps, the turn over flap from the outward turning lower eyelid, and wide dissection around the orbicularis oris muscle enabled successful soft tissue reconstruction without complications. Through this case, we have proved that the straight-line advanced release technique can be applied to severe craniofacial cleft repair as well as unilateral cleft lip repair.

In the repair of unilateral complete cleft lip, the most popular method is the rotation-advancement by Millard. Despite advantages of Millard repair, a few pitfalls exist. Above all, some of the scars, at the height of the cleft side philtral ridge, cross the Langer's line. Further, in the repair of complete cleft lip, small triangular lateral lip flap is often added in the base of an advancement flap to level the Cupid's bow. Moreover, preservation of the advancement flap has some negative effects on a primary nasal repair. As a result, the shape of philtrum is somewhat unnatural. Therefore, I applied the extended Mohler repair in the six cases of complete wide cleft lip to get a more esthetic scar. As a result, more natural, straight philtral ridge was obtained, without adding small triangular flap in the base of the advancement flap.

In spite of all fine methods developed for treating cleft lip, a certain percentage of cases might still need secondary correction. Generally, secondary revision of cleft lip is much difficult to produce esthetic outcome, because the cleft lip scar gives a variable symmetrical and anatomic defect that may not be possible to make inconspicuous of this scar and rebuild good esthetics. In this case report, a five year-old girl was underwent secondary cleft lip repair using straight line technique to correct unfavorable postoperative scar, peaking of Cupid's bow, notching of vermillion and shortened lip on cleft side with simultaneous repairing cleft palatal fistula. After operation, the secondary deformity was much improved, but, long term follow up is needed to evaluate the additional postoperative deformity might be happen during growth.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the wearing situation and satisfaction of school uniforms with the middle and high school boys and girls, who have been in uniforms for one or more years. The subjects for the survey were a total of 560 from the 2nd and the 3rd grade of the middle school, and the 1st and the 2nd grade of the high school. The survey was performed with the questionnaire of 60 questions; 36 questions related to the actual status, such as the purchase, size, repair, and design of a school uniform, and 24 questions related to satisfaction. The results were as follows; 1. Regarding the school uniform purchase, middle school students attached importance to famous brand, while high school students valued design above everything else. The students confused with the school uniform sizing systems were 82.1 % and 72.5 % in middle and high school students. 2. 43% of middle school students and 34% of high school students had experiences of repairing their school uniforms. Regarding the reason for repair, the size misfit was the highest. Boys preferred a single breasted boxy jacket with middle hip line length, and straight trousers, and girls preferred a fitted jacket of waist line length, and flare skirt of the knee line length. 3. School uniform satisfaction score showed that students were not satisfied with their school uniforms so much. Middle school students had significantly lower satisfaction about the design and psychological protection than high school students. Even though high school students showed lower satisfaction about the price and the care of school uniforms, there were no significant differences between them.

Drones are increasingly used in logistics delivery due to their low cost, high-speed and straight-line flight. Considering the small cargo capacity, limited endurance and other factors, this paper optimized the pickup and delivery vehicle routing problem with time windows in the mode of "truck+drone". A mixed integer programming model with the objective of minimizing transportation cost was proposed and an improved adaptive large neighborhood search algorithm is designed to solve the problem. In this algorithm, the performance of the algorithm is improved by designing various efficient destroy operators and repair operators based on the characteristics of the model and introducing a simulated annealing strategy to avoid falling into local optimum solutions. The effectiveness of the model and the algorithm is verified through the numerical experiments, and the impact of the "truck+drone" on the route cost is analyzed, the result of this study provides a decision basis for the route planning of "truck+drone" mode delivery.

The purposes of this study were to examine the slacks purchases and wearing satisfaction among old-aged women who were highly dissatisfied with their bodies and fit due to physical changes and to provide some basic data needed to develop slacks patterns to meet their needs. A survey was taken among 223 old-aged women aged 60~79 living in Seoul. Using the SPSS 12.0 program, the collected data were analyzed in descriptive statistics, t-test, and crosstab. The result were as follows: the most used place for them to shop slacks was a market(including the Dongdaemun and Namdaemun market), which was followed by a department store and a discount store in the order. As for their preference for slacks according to age, those who were in their sixties most preferred straight-line slacks, while those who were in their seventies semistraight-type slacks. As for fit for each body part according to age, there were significant differences only in crotch length. Those who were in their seventies were more dissatisfied with crotch length than those who were in their sixties, feeling that crotch length was short. As for their experiences of repair after purchasing a pair of slacks, 82.5% said they had such an experience. Most of the repairs with length, waist and slacks width involved in size reduction.

1600여년 전에 축조된 벽골제 저수지는 우리나라 고대 농경사회의 대규모 토목사업으로 건설되었고, 당시의 대체적인 시공기술은 우수하였다. 특히 본제의 계속적인 성토공사를 위해서 본류를 연포천에 우회적으로 배수시킨 현장기술자의 시공대책과 장대한 둑마루 표고를 일치시킨 공사측량기술은 탁월하였다. 그러나 기본계획의 미흡함과 이후의 반복된 보수공사의 소극적인 관리체제와 임시적인 방법이 벽골제의 저수기능을 상실하게 된 원인이 되었다. 또한, 장생거·경장거수문지는 관개배수용 수문시설물로서 구조는 단경간의 수문석주와 인양식 목재문비로 되어 있고, 그 목재문비는 고정 도르래 장치를 이용한 수동식(인력)으로 조작 하였으며, 수여거·유통거수문지는 홍수시 여수로시설로서 본제 양단의 지형적 특성을 잘 이용할 줄 아는 토목공학적인 식견이 높았던 것으로 볼수 있다. 그리고, 수여거수문지의 위치는 벽골제 북단 수월리 입구가 확실하고, 유통거수문지의 위치는 본제 남단 상서리 우측으로 추정된다. 핵심용어 : 벽골제, 시공기술, 수문지 위치.
