도시한옥의 적응적 재생 모델시안 연구 -청주 서운동의 노인계층을 위한 모델링 사례를 통하여- (The Tentative Plans of Adaptive Reuse of Korean Traditional Houses (Han ok) in Urban Area : Focusing on the Elderly Housing in Seoun-dong, Cheongju)

  • When the castle of the city was destructed from 1911 through 1915 in Cheongju, the city's spatial structure was reorganized and "Han-ok Housing", a dwelling site filled with Korean traditional houses, was newly formed around the former castle site. These days, the Han-ok housing in Seoun-dong, Cheongju in which elderly couples and senior citizens live is enclosed by modernized roads and three or four-story buildings, leaving the housing as an isolated island in the city block. Nonetheless, the Han-ok housing not only plays an important role in sustaining the historic and local identity of the city, but also offers environmental benefits in terms of daylighting and ventilation. The purpose of this study is to reorganize the housing suitable for those who currently live and recreate it by adding new functionality. Consequently, three strategies are established; the conservation of existing building through the improvement of existing facilities; the conversion of vacant buildings into a new use; and the creation of the urban mid-rise Han-ok housing at street sides. The first strategy has a significance in that the traditional building's single wing plan, small room sizes and lack of storages now cause great inconvenience for current life style. The second strategy also promotes the practical use of abandoned buildings through alterations and additions. Finally, the creation of the urban mid-rise Han-ok housing that is accomplished by the combination of reinforced concrete and wooden structure interacts with or respond to the city's development. As a result, this study for the adaptive reuse of Han-ok housing proves how the traditional properties can be maintained in a careful manner and how its creative reuse can be achieved.

유네스코 생물권보전지역 개념을 도입한 옥상 생물서식공간 조성 기법에 관한 연구 -유네스코회관 옥상을 사례로- (A Study on a Rooftop Biotope Creation Technique Reflecting the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Concept - Focusing on the UNESCO Building Rooftop -)

  • Targeting a rooftop biotope created in urban area, this study aims at verifying a creation technique reflecting an urban biosphere reserve concept as well as its function as the habitats of various wild animals. To this end, a set of processes of a biosphere reserve-based basic conception and master plan, sectoral plans, construction and monitoring were applied to the rooftop of 12-story UNESCO Building in Seoul. In particular, the rooftop habitats were divided into core area, buffer zone and transition area, and habitats and facilities suitable to the characteristics of each space were planned. By aligning a plantation planning map with environmental conditions such as topography and water, creation of diverse habitats was enabled. As a result, a set of various habitats including wetlands, wild grassland, shrubs, forest trees and vegetable fields was created at the site. Species living in these habitats included 148 plant species, 62 insect species, 2 amphibian species, 3 fishery species and 3 bird species. The rooftop eco-park of UNESCO Building, which was created one year ago, is assessed as an important space for conservation of biodiversity as well as a place where a biosphere reserve concept was well applied. Meanwhile, for this rooftop biotope to be a pioneer of urban biosphere reserve-based types, a number of principles & methodologies suggested in this study need to be applied, In a perspective of landscape ecology, maintenance efforts should be linked with green areas in neighboring areas, which are the sources of species, In addition, considering that the rooftop biotope is a restored ecosystem, theories and approaches from restoration ecology should be applied. On-going monitoring on environmental changes is also required as the site is located in the urban center, Ultimately, rooftop biotopes including the case study area should contribute in promoting the socio-economic, cultural, and spiritual sustainability as well as environmental sustainability of a city.

AI 영화영상콘텐츠를 위한 AI 예술창작 사례연구 (AI Art Creation Case Study for AI Film & Video Content)

  • 현재 우리는 창작도구로서 컴퓨터와 창작자로서 컴퓨터 사이에 서 있다. 또한 포스트 시네마적 상황이라 할 수 있는 새로운 장르의 영화들이 등장하고 있다. 본 논문은 AI 시네마의 출현 가능성을 진단하고자 한다. AI 시네마의 가능성을 확인하고자 영화 창작의 필요조건이라 할 수 있는 스토리, 서사의 창작, 이미지의 창작, 사운드의 창작이 인공지능에 의해 가능한지 사례조사를 통해 살펴보았다. 먼저 AI 페인팅 알고리즘인 Obvious, GAN 및 CAN의 시각이미지 생성을 확인했다. 둘째, AI 사운드, 음악은 이미 인간과 협력하여 유통 단계에 들어섰다. 셋째, AI는 이미 드라마 대본을 완성 할 수 있고, 빅 데이터를 활용한 자동 시나리오 제작 프로그램도 인기를 얻고 있다. 즉, 우리는 필수적인 영화 제작 요구 사항이 AI 알고리즘으로 충족될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 마노 비치의 'AI 장르 컨벤션' 관점에서 웹 다큐멘터리와 데스크톱 다큐멘터리는 포스트 시네마로서 AI 시네마의 대표적인 장르라고 할 수 있다. AI, 웹 다큐멘터리, 데스크톱 다큐멘터리가 존재하고 있는 환경이 동일하기 때문이다. 본 논문은 포스트시네마의 창작자로서 AI에 대한 연구를 통해 4차 산업혁명시대 영화라는 매체가 개척해야 할 새로운 길을 제시하고 있다.

문화유산산업의 발전에 대한 제언 (The proposal for improvement of cultural heritage industry)

  • 문화유산 산업은 한나라의 흥망성쇠에 결정적 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서 문화유산 산업에 대한 선진국의 여러 가지 정책과 제도를 소개한다. 이를 통해 나라의 상황에 맞게 고쳐 나아가, 문화유산 산업 발전 관련 정책을 제시한다. 특히 '젊우미'라는 제도를 제안해, 청년취업과 문화유산 산업 증진의 두 가지 발전을 위한 정책을 위해 문화재 보존 인력양성, 문화재의 디지털 데이터베이스화 와 문화재 스토리 발굴을 제안한다.

  • With a history of over 100 years, animation is an art of film and television, and a diversified special form of art as well. Animation scene design is not just about scenic painting but also a time-space formative art that serves for film and television animation, presents story plots, unveils dramatic conflicts and depicts character personalities. Scene design requires both high creativity and artistry. Scene design shall cover the living places, social environment, natural environment and historical environment where the characters live. The use of color is an important part in animation creation. In terms of scene design, it plays a significant role in building up the scene atmosphere, promote the plot and enriching screen contents. Focused on Uproar in Heaven-a classic Chinese animation, this paper analyzes the traditional characteristics of Chinese animation scene color and discusses the application and development of color.

A novel story on rock slope reliability, by an initiative model that incorporated the harmony of damage, probability and fuzziness

  • This study aimed to realize the creation of fuzzy stochastic damage to describe reliability more essentially with the analysis of harmony of damage conception, probability and fuzzy degree of membership in interval [0,1]. Two kinds of fuzzy behaviors of damage development were deduced. Fuzzy stochastic damage models were established based on the fuzzy memberships functional and equivalent normalization theory. Fuzzy stochastic damage finite element method was developed as the approach to reliability simulation. The three-dimensional fuzzy stochastic damage mechanical behaviors of Jianshan mine slope were analyzed and examined based on this approach. The comprehensive results, including the displacement, stress, damage and their stochastic characteristics, indicate consistently that the failure foci of Jianshan mine slope are the slope-cutting areas where, with the maximal failure probability 40%, the hazardous Domino effects will motivate the neighboring rock bodies' sliding activities.

MRCNN을 이용한 영화속 등장인물 면적추출 방법 (Extraction Method of Face Area in Movie Using MRCNN)

  • 본 연구는 영화에 대한 정량적 분석을 위해 MRCNN을 활용한 영화 속 등장인물의 얼굴 면적을 검출하였다. MRCNN을 선택한 이유는 기존 얼굴 인식 시스템이 갖는 한계(뒷모습, 누워있는 모습의 측정 오류)의 개선과 면밀한 계산을 하고자 함이었다. 영화 한편에서 주인공과 상대주인공이 함께 등장한 씬을 선별한 726개의 이미지 중 496개의 이미지가 마스킹이 됨으로서 68%의 성능을 보였다. 반면에 230개의 이미지 파일에서는 다소 문제가 발견되어 32%의 오차가 발생했다. 오차를 개선하기 위해서 주요 인물을 학습시킨 뒤 마스킹을 씌우는 작업을 함으로써 현 확률보다 높은 확률로 정상적으로 이미지가 추출될 수 있도록 시험해 볼 것이다.

Hardy's Laodiceanism: Dare's Role in A Laodicean

  • Laodiceanism is the blueprint from which Hardy draws one of his most ingenuous effects: the creating of a Laodicean around which the novel constructs its ambiguity. Hardy's command of "ingenuity" joins both the leading heroine Paula and the minor character Dare into the same category of a Laodicean. Alongside Paula, Dare is the most important ingredient in the novel in that he acts as an enigmatic persona defying the reader's attempts to establish a coherent type. This paper aims to offer a close reading of Dare's life story, which is chosen for discussion as he has been deemed as a simple functionary and thus apparently escaped serious critical notice thus far. It is stressed that the structure of sensations Dare embodies is fascinating in the sense that it is a locus where the coexistence of both meaning and nonmeaning would not amount to harmonious peace or stability so much as permits the impossibility of single and central significance. In this coexistence is inscribed a notion that the binaries in opposition are endlessly inter-mingled in dialogic tension, which is the hallmark of Laodiceanism that Hardy aims to present through the creation of Dare.

Who knows what and to what extent - modeling the knowledge of the narrative agent

  • The knowledge of the narrative agent not only constitutes the content and meaning of the narrative itself, but is also closely related to the emotional response of the recipient. Also, the disparity of knowledge between narrative agents is an important factor in making a narrative richer and more interesting. But It tends to be treated as a sub-topic of narration theory or genre/style studies rather than an independent subject of narrative studies or criticism. In this paper, I propose a model that can systematically and quantitatively analyze the knowledge of narrative agents. The proposed model consists of the knowledge structure that represents a narrative, the knowledge state that expresses the knowledge of narrative agent as a degree of belief, and the knowledge flow that means changes in the knowledge state according to the development of events. In addition, the formal notation of the knowledge structure and a probabilistic inference model that could obtain the state of knowledge were proposed, and the knowledge structure and knowledge flow were analyzed by applying the model to the actual narrative. It is expected that the proposed model will be of practical help in the creation and evaluation of narratives.

CPS환경에서 산불 정찰을 위한 무인기 비행경로 생성 도구 (UAV Path Creation Tool for Wildfire Reconnaissance in CPS Environment)

  • Existing studies on the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)-based CPS (Cyber Physical System) environment lack forest fire monitoring and forest fire reconnaissance using real-world UAVs. So, it is necessary to monitor forest fires early through CPS based on real-world UAVs with high reliability and resource management efficiency. In this paper presents an MFG (Misstion File Generater) that automatically generates a flight path of an UAV for forest fire monitoring in a CPS environment. MFG generates flight paths based on a hiking trail with a high fire probability due to a true story of an entrant. We have confirmed that the flight path generated by MFG can be applied to the UAV. Also, we have verified that the UAV flies according to the flight path generated by MFG in simulation, with a negligible error rate.
