Effect of Nickel Oxide on Hydrogen Storage Behaviors of Mesoporous SBA-15

  • In this work, we prepared the Ni-loaded porous SBA-15 (SBA-15) by a depositionprecipitation (D-P) method, in order to enhance the hydrogen storage capacity. The structure and morphology of the Ni/SBA-15 were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission transmission electron microscopy (FE-TEM). The results showed that, at the Ni loading used at the DP times in the range of 0-120 min, SBA-15 preserved the well-ordered hexagonal porous arrangement. The textural properties of the Ni/SBA-15 were analyzed using N2 adsorption isotherms at 77 K. Specific surface area and mesopore volume of the samples were determined from the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation and Barrett-Joiner-Halenda (BJH) method, respectively. The hydrogen storage capacity of the Ni/SBA-15 was evaluated at 298 K/10 MPa. The hydrogen storage capacity of the Ni/SBA-15 was increased in accordance with Ni content. Consequently, it was found that the presence of Ni on mesoporous SBA-15 created hydrogen-favorable sites which enhanced the hydrogen storage capacity by spillover effect.

  • 본 논문은 분산 저장환경에 사용되는 RAID와 네트워크 가상화 기술을 융합하며 Software Defined Storaging 방법을 제안한다. 제안방법은 저장장치를 소프트웨어 기반으로 설계함으로써 유연한 제어 및 관리를 제공하여 물리적인 스토리지의 용량과 재해 복구비용을 절감할 수 있다. 제안된 Software-Defined RAID 기반의 장애복구 기법을 실질적인 퍼블릭 클라우드인 AWS와 구글 스토리지를 이용하여 실증 테스트 및 성능을 비교한다.

환원황화합물에 대한 용기채취법의 비교 연구 (Comparison of Two Experimental Approaches to Test Temporal Storability of Reduced Sulfur Compounds in Whole Sampling Method)

  • In this study, storage stability of reduced sulfur compounds ($H_2S$, $CH_3SH$, DMS, $CS_2$, and DMDS) and $SO_2$ in sampling bags was investigated in terms of two contrasting storage approaches between forward (F) and reverse (R) direction. The samples for the F method were prepared at the same time and analyzed sequentially through time. In contrast, those of reverse (R) method were prepared sequentially in advance and analyzed all at once upon the preparation of the last sample. In addition, relative performance between two different bag materials (PVF and PEA) was also assessed by using 100 ppb standard. The response factors (RF) of gaseous RSC samples were determined by gas chromatography/pulsed flame photometric detector (GC/PFPD) combined with air server (AS)/thermal desorber (TD) system at storage intervals of 0, 1, and 3 days. There is no statistical difference in all RSCs between two storage methods. However, the results of relative recovery indicated 2.58~12.8% differences in compound type between the two storage methods. Moreover, loss rates and storage stability of $H_2S$ and $SO_2$ were considerably affected by bag materials than any other variables. Therefore, some considerations about storage methods (or bag material types) for sulfur compounds are needed if stored by sampling bag method.

  • 추진장약의 저장 기간에 따른 안정제 함량의 저하에 관하여 가속수명시험 자료를 활용한 수명 예측 기법을 제시하였다. 결정론적 가속수명시험 및 저장분석 시험자료를 단순회귀분석으로 계산한 수명 예측값은 상태 분포와 수명 분포를 표현할 수 없다. 기존의 연구에서 감마분포를 이용하여 저장분석 시험자료에 대한 상태 분포 및 수명 분포를 보여주고 기대 수명을 계산하는 방법이 제시되었으나, 양산 초기 실제 자료를 수집하는 것이 불가능한 한계를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서 제시된 예측 방법에 의한 기대 수명은 기존의 연구와 유사한 값을 보이며 상태 분포와 수명 분포를 설명할 수 있고, 유도무기 추진기관의 추진제 또는 부품류의 노화와 관련한 수명 주기 관리에도 활용할 수 있다.

  • This paper presents a new method for solving a long term unit commitment problem including hydro and pumped storage hydro units in a large scale power system. The proposed method makes it possible to get variable power of hydro and pumpde storage hydro units and results in the better unit commitment with good convergency. Moreover this paper proposes an unit commitment algorithm to consider variable power of these units effectively by Lagrangian Relaxation method. By applying the proposed method to the test system and the real system, it is verified the usefulness of this method.

  • In this paper, we experimentally investigated compensation method of the mechanical errors for the micro holographic storage. The aim of this research was overcome of disc tilt and spherical aberration problems. The proposed method was performed by using glass plate and zoom optics.

  • Holographic data storage system is one of next generation high density optical memories. Thereby storing multiple data pages using multiplexing method in one spot, we can achieve high store density and fast access time. However, for uniform writing, we must control exposure time properly by the change of writing material characteristics. Many studies have been investigated about exposure time scheduling. However, once it is decided, we cannot change the scheduled time. Therefore, it is hard to obtain uniform data intensity. In this study, we propose exposure time control method using additional red beam as the monitoring signal. Through reconstructed red beam intensity in real time, we can adjust exposure time by the writing condition change. We construct compensation method mathematically and verify the feasibility of proposed method through the experiments.

  • In this paper, we investigate the polarization multiplexing for micro holographic storage. The proposed multiplexing method is performed by using crystal media that use photorefractive materials such as Fe-doped $LiNbO_3$. We discuss the feasibility of fast recording, high capacity and transfer rate for polarization multiplexing method. Finally, we experimentally verify the proposed method using polarization selectivity.

냉매 저장방식에 의한 쾌속 냉각장치에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Rapid Cooling System by Refrigerant Storage Method)

  • In the present study, low-temperature low-pressure refrigerant storage method is proposed to achieve higher cooling capacity during a short period of time than that of a compressor in steady operation. Experimental apparatus was designed and set up to analyze the performance of the new-conceptual cooling system. Two reservoirs for sequential storage of refrigerant were used in the cooling system. Several on/off solenoid valves were installed for control of refrigerant flow. From the experimental results, the initial rapid cooling by low temperature low-pressure refrigerant storage method was ascertained for successful operation. This rapid cooling methodology shall be useful for other low-capacity refrigeration system.

도시지역 CSOs 저감을 위한 저류조 및 이송관로의 최적 용량결정에 관한 연구 (Study on the determination of optimum size of storage tank and intercepting capacity for CSOs reduction in urban area)

  • Storage method is one of major measures for reduction of CSOs pollutant loads and several projects have been done nationwide. But systematic analysis of intercepting capacity has not been studied to determine optimum size of storage facility. In this research, not only storage volume but also intercepting capacity which means flow capacity from intercepting facility to CSOs storage facility was studied and optimum sizing method for storage facility was proposed. The result shows that pollutants reduction efficiency can be increased significantly by increasing intercepting capacity and it might reduce storage volume and total construction costs. Intercepting capacity for the study area was evaluated and it was shown as equivalent to 83 % probability rainfall intensity.
