무진동 크레인의 제어알고리즘 설계

  • The micro-computer based automatic control of the overhead crane system is designed. Two control methodologies were suggested; the one is the anti-swing controller which improves poor damping characteristics of the crane and the other is the stop-position controller which minimizes the transportation position error. The input speed profile is automatically determined by the pre-programmed digital control algorithm. The experimental results show that these proposed controllers have excellent control performance as compared with those of the uncontrolled crane system.

영상의 모서리 방향을 이용한 전송 오차의 복원 (A restoration of the transfer error that used edge direction of an image)

  • 본 연구는 전송 오차의 이미지 복원에 관한 방법으로 정지영상 또는 내부프레임 정정을 위한 모서리 방향 보간법에 기초한 오차 복원 기술의 개선을 목표로 한다. 여기서 제안된 방법은 블록의 모서리 방향 검출 방법은 스웨터의 손상된 부분을 남아 있는 부분과 맞추어가는 모서리 방향을 이용하는 것에 근거한다 처리 후 데이터 정보에 남은 에러 픽셀을 마지막 단계로 비선형 미디안 필터를 사용하여 보간 하였다. 실험 결과는 제안된 방법의 높은 회복 성향과 낮은 계산 시간은 실시간 영상 처리의 실현 가능성을 나타낸다.

  • This paper proposes PID and RIC (Robust Internal-loop Compensator) based motion controller using dual learning algorithm for position control of linear synchronous motor respectively. Its gains are auto-tuned by using two learning algorithms, reinforcement learning and neural network. The feedback controller gains are tuned by reinforcement learning, and then the feedforward controller gains are tuned by neural network. Experiments prove the validity of dual learning algorithm. The RIC controller has better performance than does the PID-feedforward controller in reducing tracking error and disturbance rejection. Neural network shows its ability to decrease tracking error and to reject disturbance in the stop range of the target position and home.

  • This paper presents development of a vehicle lateral and longitudinal control for autonomous driving control and test results obtained using an electric vehicle. Sliding control theory has been used to develop a vehicle speed and distance control algorithm. The longitudinal control algorithm that maintains safety and comfort of the vehicle consists of a cruise and STOP&GO control depending on traffic conditions. Desired steering angle is determined through the lateral position error and the yaw angle error based on preview optimal control. Motor control inputs have been directly derived from the sliding control law. The performance of the autonomous driving control which is integrated with a lateral and longitudinal control is investigated by computer simulations and driving test using an electric vehicle. Electric vehicle system consists of DC driving motor, an electric power steering system, main controller (Autobox)

  • In this paper, we deal with an optimal software-release problem of determining the time to stop testing and release the software system to the user. The optimal release time problem is considered from maintenance like the periodic distribution of service packs and the unpredictable distribution of patches after the release. Moreover, the environment of software error-detection during operation differs from the environment during testing. This paper proposes the software reliability growth model which incorporates periodic service packs, unpredictable patches and operational environment. Based on the proposed model, we derive optimal release time to minimize total cost composed of fixing an error, testing and maintenance. Using numerical examples, optimal release time is determined and illustrated.

심전도 데이터 전송용 디지탈 모뎀의 설계에 관한 연구 (Design of a Digital Modem for ECG Data Transmission)

  • This paper represent the design of a digital modem which transmits the ECG data from an ambulatory arrhythmia monitor over the telephone lines to a large hospital for the instantaneous interpretations. The digital modem provides on-line communications between the patient and the central computer located near cardiologists. For commercial telephone lines, the transmitting error rates of the digital modem were measured 200 times at a speed of 300 baud. In those measurements, the block errors-results, due to the misinterpretation of start and stop bits, did not occur, The data bit errors which were due to a single bit interpreted incorrectly were 0.78 (bits/10 ) . Since the acceptable data bit error limit is 10 per 106 bits transmitted, the digital modem designed in this paper can be used for the clinical applications without any difficulty.

  • The major faults of CNC machine tool is operational error which is charge over 70%. This paper describes model of remote service and fault diagnosis for CNC machine tool with open architecture controller. For intelligent fault diagnosis, new model is proposed. In this paper, the three major operational faults, emergency stop error, cycle start disable and machine ready disable, are defined. Two diagnostic models based on the ladder diagram, switching function model, step switching function model, are proposed. For internet based remote service, suitable environment is proposed and implemented with web server and client.

  • We propose software algorithms which provide the characteristics of acceleration/deceleration essential to high dynamic performance at the transient state where industrial robots or CNC machine tools start and stop. The path error, which is one of the most significant factors in performance evaluation of industrial robots and CNC machine tools, is analyzed for linear, exponential, and parabolic acceleration/deceleration algorithms in case of circular interpolation. The analysis shows that the path error depends on the acceleration/deceleration routine and the servo control system. In experiments, the entire control algorithm including the proposed acceleration/deceleration algorithms is executed on the motion control system with a floating point digital signal processor(DSP) TMS320C30 as a CPU. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithms are very effective in controlling axes of motion of industrial robots or CNC machine tools with the desired characteristics.

  • 무선 네트웍을 기반으로 하는 모빌 컴퓨팅 기술은 빠르게 성장하고 있다. 무선 네트웍 환경은 특성상 작은 끊김과 높은 에러율 때문에 모빌 컴퓨팅에서는 비연결 수행을 하는 것이 필요하다. 수많은 개념과 이론들이 이러한 모빌 컴퓨팅 환경에서 비연결 수행기능을 제공하기 위해 제안되고 있다. 본 논문에서 마코프(Marcov) 모델링 기법을 이용하여 모빌 컴퓨팅 환경에서 비연결 수행상태를 포함한 평균 수행시간을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 측정하였다. 모빌 컴퓨팅 환경은 데이터 호딩(Data Hoarding), 비연결 수행(Disconnected operation), 정지(Stop)의 3가지 상태로 구성이 된다. 이러한 3가지 상태에서 여러 가지 입력 파라메터들(에러율(Error rate), 재연결율(Recovery rate), 호버 오버헤드(Hoarding overhead), 재연결 오보헤드(Reintegration overhead)로 전체 수행시간을 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해서 모빌 컴퓨팅에서 보다 효과적인 비연결 수행을 위한 방법을 선택할 수 있다.

휴대용 디지털 전자제품의 사용성 향상을 위한 청각적 피드백의 고려 (Design Considerations of Auditory Feedback for Enhancing The Usability of Portable Digital Electronic Products)

  • Non-verbal sound feedback, called earcon, has been used for portable digital electronic products to give appropriate information for the selected function. This study evaluated usability based on user cognition time, error rate, and subjective satisfaction using 20 male and female subjects. The study compared five major user functions from a portable digital electronic product with currently available earcons and the same functions from the product with the new earcons (suggested by this study) which considered user cognitive characteristics, such as loudness, pitch, melody, and length. For subjective evaluation, the study assessed various earcons by subjective impression of sounds using the seven-point rating scales. Major statistical results indicated that the new earcons significantly reduced user error rates and generally improved user performance functions, such as 'play, off, stop, fast forward, and rewind.'
