A space launch vehicle departs the ground in a low speed, soon reaches a transonic and a supersonic speed, and then flies in a hypersonic speed into the space. Therefore, the design of a launch vehicle should include the prediction of aerodynamic characteristics for all speed regimes, ranging from subsonic to hypersonic speed. Generally, Empirical and analytical methods and wind tunnel tests are used for the prediction of aerodynamic characteristics. This research presents considerable factors for aerodynamic analysis of a launch vehicle using CFD. This investigation was conducted to determine effects of wake over the base section on the aerodynamic characteristics of a launch vehicle and also performed to determine effects of the sting which exist to support wind tunnel test model.

Bee Venom therapy, as bee honey has long contributed to human life as a valuable fancy food since human history began. It can be found in the literature back up to a thousand years as a form of therapy for management of apin of various origin. Even to the present, there are some physicians and medical personnel who believe in the effects of bee sting therapy throughout the world. However Bee Venom therapy remains somewhat controversial and there are very few controlled studies available to guide clinical practice. We administered apitherapy(Bee venom therapy) against pain of musculoskeletal origin in thirty one patients from october 1988 to october 1990 and got successful results in seventy one percent of patients. Our results suggest that Bee Venom therapy can be one of the methods for conquering pain caused by true inflamation.

This paper proposes a modularized two-stage charge equalization converter for a series-connected lithium-ion battery string. In this paper, the series-connected battery sting is modularized into M modules, and each module has K cells in series. With this modularization, low voltage stress on the electronic devices can be achieved. A two-stage dc-dc converter with cell selection switches is employed. The first stage dc-dc converter steps down the high bus voltage to about 10 V. The second stage dc-dc converter integrated with selection switches equalizes the cell voltages. A prototype for 88 lithium-ion battery cells is optimally designed and implemented. Experimental results verify that the proposed equalization method has good cell balancing performance showing low voltage stress, small size, and low cost.

This study was designed to examine therapeutic effect of honeybee venom on wound healing in tail-docked dog. Blood samples were taken of jugular vein and hematological values were analyzed in condition of pre,3- and 6-day after canine caudectomy. Apitherapy group was subcutaneously treated with an Italian honeybee(Apis mellifera ligustica). Antibiotic therapeutic group was intramuscularly iaiected with a standard dosage ol'penicluin ,G procaine(20,000 Units/kg of body weight). Changes of leucocyte, erynlrocytel hematocrit, platelet and fibrinogen were not significantly different between bee sting and penicillin injection during wound healing. No changes of wound healing in tine tests, groups were onseren. Whole honeybee venom has been shown to have a antiinflammatory effect in tail-docked dog. It may be concluded that honeybee venom is effective drug being useful far wound healing and disinfection without tissue trauma in dog.

Cutaneous injuries stung by jellyfish are not uncommon in human exposed to marine environments. Most of the cases occur to scuba divers, fishermen, and travelers swimming at the beach. The symptoms vary from mild dermatosis to fatal systemic reaction. Some group of jellyfish like Atlantic Portuguese man-of-war (Physalia physalis) provokes acute severe skin injuries with systemic symptoms of nausea, bradycardia, and rarely anaphylaxis. But it is unusual case that allergic dermatitis caused by Scyphistoma which is polyp stage of jellyfish (Aurelia aurita) happened to zoo keepers working at indoor dolphin pool. This case report is about dermatosis with symptoms such as painful, irritant, itching, and erupted skin lesions on the neck and face of zoo keepers working at dolphinarium in Seoul zoo, Korea.

Objective : This study was to review on the prostate disease-related studies with Acupuncture therapy in renowned medical internet site of PubMed, and to make master plan of the study, especially, on Bee Venom Acupuncture(BVA) of Prostate disease and then to devise the idealistic therapeutic ways of it. Method : We made the internet search with the key words of bee venom(bee venom therapy, apitoxin, apitherapy, bee sting, bee sting therapy), acupuncture, prostate, prostatitis, prostrate cancer in Pubmed, from June 1st to July 1st,2004. Results : 1.25 papers were found in 19 publised jounals. of which two named'Urology'and Prostate' had three papars, two called 'JUrology' and 'Cancer Immunol Immunother' had two papers, and the others had a paper respectively. 2. In the classification by papers' types, Review papers were 8 and Original were 17 where there were 5 clinical trials, 11 experimental studies and 1 epidemiologic paper. Of 5 clinical trials, 2 belonged to Randomized Control Study, and of 11 experimental studies, 4 belonged to in vitro and 7 belonged to in vivo with in viro studies, and 1 epidemeologic belonged to meta-analysis. 3. In the classification by prostate diseases, 4 were about prostatitis, 3 were about prostate related symptoms, 16 were about prostate cancer, and two were about the others. 4. In the classification by applied treatment methods, 5 were related with Acupuncture, 10 were related with BVA(Bee Venom, Bee), and 10 were related with the others. Of 5 related with Acupuncture, 3 used general acupuncture, 1 used electrical acupuncture, and 1 used general acupuncture and electrical acupuncture at the same time. 5. In 2 RCTs of Clinical trials, Control group was set up to the group using different compatible treatment method or using meridians not related with treating prostate disease. Single or double blind methods couldn't be found. 6. In the clinical trials, IPSS, NIH, CPSI or subjective global assessment were used as the Index of Evaluation. 7. The Leg Greater Yang Bladder Meridian(B), The Leg Lesser Um Kidney Meridian(K) and Conception Vessel Meridian(CV) were used as major meridians, and B10(Taejo, Dazhu), B23(Shinsu, Shenshu), B28(Panggwangsu, Pangguangshu), B35(Hoeyang, Huiyang), B39(Wiyang, Weiyang), B40(Wijung, Weizhong), B54(chilbyon, Zhibian), K1(Yongchon, Yongquan), K10(Umgok, Yingu), CV3(Chungguk, Zhongji), CV4(Kwanwon, Guanyuan),S6(Hyopko, Jiache) were used as acupoints. Electrical acupuncture(EA) was considered to be more important and CV3(Chungguk, Zhongji), CV4(Kwanwon, Guanyuan) were mainly selected as EA applied acupoints. 8. It is mostly said that Acupuncture appeared to be a safe, effective, and durable treatment alternative in improving symptoms of patients with prostate diseases, refractory to conventional medicine. A larger controlled study was required to confirm these encouraging initial results. Conclusion : Papers about BVA of Prostate cancer or Prostatitis were not found, and low permeability of Prostate is concerned, BVA with the anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effect can be adopted as a new alternatives of Prostate disease treatment, so it is thought that Study of how to make access to prostate, animal experiment including in vivo and in vitro and more clinical trials with using acupoints on related meridian should be followed.

The purpose is to inspect the personal medicines in Cheju island that are used traditionally and to get their characteristics. The subjectives are 39 Cheju people, men 10, women 29, who were horned, grown up in Cheju and agreed with this study. The ranges of age are 10 persons(m : 1, w: 9) over 40 less 50 years old, 14(m : 7, w : 7) over 50 less 60, 5(m : 1, w : 4) over 60 less 70, 6(m : 0, w : 6) over 70 less 80, and 4(m : 1, w : 3) over 80. The average age is 64.5 years old. The method to collect the data is 20 structured opening questionaires that are based on references. The duration to collect datas is 11days from 4th, Aprill 1997 to 14th, Aprill 1997. The workers who are trainned the interview methods went their villages and got answers after explaining the purpose and contents to them. Somtimes they used to record the answers. The analysis was identified the subjectives to four regions of Cheju, arranged answers with items, rearranged the same answers, counted with number and percentage. And classified the materials and characteristics. The results of this study are followed: The things that is used as personal medicines are the effects through experiences ans misteries that have hand down by word of mouth, even though they are not scientific. People used the materials arround their circumference. It is an accumulation of experiences. The ways used in eating, doing acupuncture or sting, exposing to smoke, wheedling, fixing after pounding. Almost materials are plants. Mugwort is effective in fever, gastritis, hemorrhoid, diarrhea, edematous hands or feet and dermatitis. Citron and Arrowroot in fever, gastritis. Seeds of Pumpkin in indigestive, hemorrhoid, edematous hands or feet. Gallic in fever, diarrhea, frostbite, dermatitis, and toothache. Motherwort in diarrhea, gastritis. Radish juice in indigestive, jaundice. Bean paste in burn, wound. Acupuncture in fever, gastritis, indigestive, back pain, edematous hands or feet. Sting as similar with it in fever, indigestive, edematous hands or feet. Cigarrette in hemorrhoid, wound, toothache. Cowstools in edematous hands or feet, wound. Sault is usded a lot in fever, gastritis, indigestive, hemorrhoid, uneffective voiding, edematous hands or feet, dermatitis, having a boil around the mouth, toothache, and eye disease. Japanese Parsley in fever, gastritis. Egg Apple in diarrhea, edematous hands or feet, frostbite. And Wild Chrysanthemum is effective in jaundice. In the conclusion, people used the things arround. A things is effective in several symptoms. If these are not effective, they would used the magic as god's anger. As locally, they used the grasses and fruits in the middle of Mt. Halla and seafood on the sea village.

In this work, the effect of attitude angle variation on drag coefficients of hemisphere in a Mach 6 flow has been investigated. Experiments were conducted in a shock tunnel and a free-falling technique was used to minimize flow disturbance by a sting. For attitude and drag coefficient measurements of a free-falling hemisphere, a free-falling technique based on a releasing mechanism with a stair-typed module and an electromagnet was developed. A shadowgraph technique was used for flow visualization using a high-speed camera.

Measurement of electrical resistivity in soils has been used for many years with purpose of estimating in situ porosity or density. Recently electrical resistivity has also been used as an indicator of soil contaimination. This paper presents the result of laboratory experiment to investigate the resistivity variation in contaminated sandy soils. The results can be used with the Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT) result to analyse ground condition. In the experiment, the water content and leachate concentration of soils were controlled by groundwater and leachate, and then the resistivity measurement was made with 'STING-R1' by Advanced Geosciences Inc. In the case of using groundwater, the resistivity was in the range of over 1000${\omega}{\cdot}m$, but in the case of using polluted water by leachate, the resistivity decreased significantly down to 10~ 100${\omega}{\cdot}m$ for the same moisture content. Also the resistivity varied according to the degree of saturatrion. Therefore, if soil is contaminated by leachate, the CPT with electrical resistivity sensor might be used to investigate the contamination status and plume migration. But exact component of leachate and the pollutant concentration are still hard to identify.

The composition of the Martes flavigula diet has been extensively studied, but little is known about its insect component. This study characterized the insect diet and insect nest materials in the feces of M. flavigula. A total of 952 fecal samples were collected in Jirisan National Park from January 2009 to November 2011, and 1379 species or taxonomic groups were identified. M. flavigula fed on insects (8.7%) and bee wax (5.0%), which comprised 2.9% and 4.4% of the dry weight of M. flavigula feces, respectively. A total of 12 insect species belonging to 8 families in 3 orders were identified. The most frequently found insects were Hymenoptera (frequency of occurrence, FO, 89.1), including Vespa simillima simillima (FO, 37.3) and Vespula koreensis koreensis (FO, 20.0). The Vespidae constituted the majority of the insect diet in autumn when the diversity of marten's prey was strongly reduced, probably because the numbers of social insects were sufficient for M. flavigula. In addition, the data suggest that M. flavigula attacks the nests of social wasps in late autumn when males do not have a venomous sting and new queens are less aggressive than workers. Bee wax appeared in all seasons and the highest rate was from spring to early summer. However, the remains of honeybees were not found in feces; thus, M. flavigula presumably eats honey but not honeybees.
