무선센서노드를 이용한 강판형 철도교량의 하이브리드 모니터링 (Hybrid Monitoring using Wireless Sensor Nodes of Steel Plate-Girder Railroad Bridges)

  • 본 연구에서는 무선센서노드을 이용하여 강판형 철도교량의 전형적인 손상유형인 거더부의 휨강성 저하와 지점부의 볼트풀림을 효과적으로 모니터링할 수 있는 하이브리드 모니터링 기법을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구가 수행되었다. 첫째, 본 연구진에 의해 개발된 가속도 및 임피던스기반 무선센서노드를 간략하게 소개하였다. 둘째, 가속도 및 임피던스 신호를 이용하여 효과적인 손상모니터링이 가능한 기법들을 선정하였다. 마지막으로, 개발된 가속도 및 임피던스기반 무선센서노드를 모형 강판형 철도교에 설치하고, 일련의 손상 시나리오에 따른 하이브리드 모니터링을 수행하여 무선센서노드 및 모니터링 기법의 성능을 평가하였다.

  • A real train load fluctuates along the track because of complicated movements(Bouncing, Rolling, Pitching and Yawing) and rail conditions. This research has for its object in development of a numerical train load model including fluctuation characteristics of lateral forces. It is based on Klingel movement theory of a wheelset on straight track. it presents a propriety of application by comparison between a 3D-Numerical analysis result using this train load model and a measured data. And this paper presents further study subject to improve a method about the train load modeling.

  • If we build new building after demolition of commercial building that is located in the downtown, it will be caused a social and environmental problem as wasting of resources and generating of waste. In this study, I investigated about remodel ins, this conclusion is given below. 1. Reconstruction cost is 2.1 times, and construction period is 1.4 times as much remodeling. So remodeling has an advantage. 2. For repairing and reinforcing timeworn building, we reinforced it as using carbon fiber sheet (girder, slab) and injecting method steel plate bonding Also, we tried to maintain efficiency of new building as using epoxy to protect concrete crack. 3. In the side of waste products and cost, remodeling has much more advantage than reconstruct. But demolition used construction period much. Because it had to be reused as repairing and reinforcing. And there was no difference between remodeling cost and reconstruct cost. If we develop research with enterprise.university.laboratory to exploit material and equipment and to train specialized engineer who will has a capacity to know construct repair and reinforce, it can be attribute to prevail remodeling in new construct market.

  • For checking fatigue safety and endurance of precast concrete deck and loop joint system in the steel plate girder composite bridge, the test composite bridge model was made for the fatigue experiment by the wheel load machine. The fatigue tests of 1,000,000 cycles were implemented according to wheel load condition of DB24 rear axle of Korea Highway Design Code. From the test results, the loop joint system for the precast deck has a sufficient flexural capacity. Although a little lower longitudinal continuity capacity is evaluated than general sound cast-in-place RC bridge deck, there is no problem about the safety. The overall fatigue level of safety defined by the code is satisfied.

  • An algorithm is proposed for computing dynamic displacements of a bridge using FBG sensors. An existing algorithm for estimating dynamic displacements of a simply supported beam through mode superposition is extended and applied to various types of bridges with bending and torsional modes. The proposed algorithm is examined through field tests on a suspension span steel deck plate box girder bridge. Guidelines are provided for determining the number of modes and the number of strain gages to be used.

  • This study presents an experimental technique to monitor the dynamic behavior of the railway bridge system simultaneously using multiplexed fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors. The measuring quantities include stains, curvatures, vertical deflections, and vertical accelerations. The strains are directly measured from multiplexed FBG sensors at various locations of the test bridge followed by curvature calculations based on the plane section assumption. Vertical deflections are then estimated using the Bernoulli beam theory and regression analysis. Finally, vertical accelerations are obtained from the numerical differentiation in time domain. In order to verify the proposed method, several conventional electric strain gauges, displacement transducers, and accelerometers are installed at the mid-span of the bridge for comparisons. A test train is passed over the bridge to monitor the dynamic response of the bridge. The monitoring results show that the multiplexed FBG sensing system is able to capture the essential behavior of the test bridge while resolving wiring problem in practice.

Comparative study on displacement measurement sensors for high-speed railroad bridge

  • This paper presents a comparative study of displacement measurement using four sensors that are being used in the field: they are a ring gauge, a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV), a vision-based displacement measurement system (VDMS), and an optoelectronic displacement meter (ODM). The comparative study was carried out on a brand-new high-speed railroad bridge designed to produce displacements within a couple of millimeters under the loading of a high-speed train. The tests were carried out on a single-span steel plate girder bridge two times with different train loadings: KTX and HEMU. The measured displacement is compared as raw and further discussion was made on the measurement noise, peak displacement, and frequency response of four sensors. The comparisonsare summarized to show the pros and cons of the used sensors in measuring displacement at a typical high-speed railroad bridge.

고강도강재 적용 플레이트 거더교의 휨 연성 평가 (Ductility of Plate Girder Bridges with High Performance Steel)

  • 본 연구는 고강도 강재를 적용한 연속교 형식의 강교량에 대하여 연구를 수행하였다. 교량에 사용되는 주구조의 고강도화에 따로 연속교의 교각 부근 부모멘트부에는 정모멘트부에 비하여 큰 모멘트가 작용하게 된다. 또한 정모멘트 구간과 달리 상부플랜지에 인장력이 작용하게 되어 완공 후에도 극한 하중 상태에서 콘크리트 데크가 응력을 부담할 수 없게 된다. 이에 따라 하부 플랜지에 불안정 파괴가 발생할 가능성이 있으며 비합성 단면과 같은 방법으로 설계하게 된다. 또한 모멘트 재분배를 고려한 설계를 하기 위해서는 부모멘트부에 충분한 휨 연성이 필요하다. 고강도 강재를 적용한 교량은 일반강재를 적용한 교량에 비하여 휨연성이 감소하게 되므로 휨연성 확보를 위한 보강방안이 필요하다. 본 연구는 부모멘트부의 휨연성 향상을 휘하여 가로보의 부등 배치를 제안하였으며, 유한요소해석 결과 휨연성이 향상되었다.

  • 강철도 플레이트거더교의 경우 일반적으로 레일의 폭보다 거더 사이의 폭이 넓기 때문에 거더에 편심이 작용하게 된다. 이러한 편심 영향으로 거더 내측 상부플랜지에 휨변형이 일어나게 되어, 상부플랜지와 수직보강재 용접이음부에 반복하중에 의한 피로균열이 발생되고 있는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 공용중인 강철도 플레이트거더교를 대상교량으로 하여 공용하중에 대한 구조해석을 실시하였다. 대상교량에 대한 현장계측을 기초로 구조모델링을 검증하였고, 검증된 구조모델링을 사용하여 열차하중 하에서의 상부플랜지와 수직보강재 용접연결부에서의 피로균열 보강방안에 대한 구조해석을 실시하였다. 또한 상부플랜지와 수직보강재 용접이음부 상세해석을 통하여 피로균열 발생위치를 확인하고 연결이음부의 적절한 보강방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Overturning Resistance of Plain Concrete Piers in OSPG Railroad Bridges

  • The steel plate-girder bridges with concrete gravity piers have possibilities of overturning by lateral inertial force which can be reproduced by sudden earthquake attack. This paper explores an overturning mechanism of existing concrete gravity pier onto the sandy soil in the event of lateral push-over load by in-situ experimental observation. The in-situ push-over experiment for pier with earth anchors between spread footing and rock beds exhibits a reasonable enhancement of ductility against overturning. In unanchored system, a flexural crack at cold joint of concrete pier is not developed because of the over-turning of the pier. This leads a global instability (rotation) of pier-footing system with relatively low stresses in pier itself. While a lateral load is persistently increased in anchored system, the successive flexural cracking failure at cold joint is observed even after the local shear failure of soil due to redistribution of stress equilibrium between soil and pier structure as long as a tensile action of anchor cable is active.
