Seismic design of irregular space steel frames using advanced methods of analysis

  • A rational and efficient seismic design methodology for irregular space steel frames using advanced methods of analysis in the framework of Eurocodes 8 and 3 is presented. This design methodology employs an advanced static or dynamic finite element method of analysis that takes into account geometrical and material non-linearities and member and frame imperfections. The inelastic static analysis (pushover) is employed with multimodal load along the height of the building combining the first few modes. The inelastic dynamic method in the time domain is employed with accelerograms taken from real earthquakes scaled so as to be compatible with the elastic design spectrum of Eurocode 8. The design procedure starts with assumed member sections, continues with the checking of the damage and ultimate limit states requirements, the serviceability requirements and ends with the adjustment of member sizes. Thus it can sufficiently capture the limit states of displacements, rotations, strength, stability and damage of the structure and its individual members so that separate member capacity checks through the interaction equations of Eurocode 3 or the usage of the conservative and crude q-factor suggested in Eurocode 8 are not required. Two numerical examples dealing with the seismic design of irregular space steel moment resisting frames are presented to illustrate the proposed method and demonstrate its advantages. The first considers a seven storey geometrically regular frame with in-plan eccentricities, while the second a six storey frame with a setback.

PRM과 포텐셜 필드 기법에 기반한 다자유도 머니퓰레이터의 충돌회피 경로계획 (Collision-Free Path Planning for a Redundant Manipulator Based on PRM and Potential Field Methods)

  • The collision-free path of a manipulator should be regenerated in the real time to achieve collision safety when obstacles or humans come into the workspace of the manipulator. A probabilistic roadmap (PRM) method, one of the popular path planning schemes for a manipulator, can find a collision-free path by connecting the start and goal poses through the roadmap constructed by drawing random nodes in the free configuration space. The path planning method based on the configuration space shows robust performance for static environments which can be converted into the off-line processing. However, since this method spends considerable time on converting dynamic obstacles into the configuration space, it is not appropriate for real-time generation of a collision-free path. On the other hand, the method based on the workspace can provide fast response even for dynamic environments because it does not need the conversion into the configuration space. In this paper, we propose an efficient real-time path planning by combining the PRM and the potential field methods to cope with static and dynamic environments. The PRM can generate a collision-free path and the potential field method can determine the configuration of the manipulator. A series of experiments show that the proposed path planning method can provide robust performance for various obstacles.

인지-감정요소에 의한 공간이미지 평가성 분석 (Analysis on Space Image Evaluation through Recognitive-Emotional Factor)

  • Although the recognition and emotion about space is subjective and individual, if standard is proposed through common factor, objective, quantified space image evaluation will be available. In addition, space image evaluation standard caused by recognitive-emotional factor can meet requests of space users and increase psychological satisfactions. The purpose of this study is to grasp the space image caused by recognitive-emotional factor in space with PAD model and analyze the evaluation of space image giving visual, recognitive and emotional effects. The analysis result revealed that 'joyfulness' and access-avoidance had a very similar distribution. The result means that space is evaluated with the degree of 'joyfulness' for space and it is led by approach-avoidance behavior. The recognition factor that forms and evaluates space image and decides approach-avoidance is expressed as adjective images such as 'fresh, joyful, light and static and its emotional factors are adjective images such as 'calm, allowable, joyful and quiet'.

항공기 세로축 무게중심의 변화에 따른 민감도 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Aircraft Sensitivity Analysis for C.G Variation of Longitudinal Axis)

  • 현대의 고성능 전투기는 공력성능 및 조종성능의 향상을 위하여 대부분 세로축 방향으로 항공기를 불안정하게 설계하는 정안정성 완화 개념을 채택하고 있다. 비행제어법칙의 설계 작업은 불안정하게 설계된 항공기에 안정성을 부여하고, 주어진 비행임무에 대하여 만족스런 조종성능을 발휘할 수 있도록 비행성능을 조작하는 일련의 과정이다. 세로축 무게중심은 무장형상, 연료상태 및 착륙장치의 위치에 영향을 받으며 항공기 안정성에 많은 영향을 미친다. 따라서 무게중심의 이동은 세로축 안정도 여유에 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 운용 시에 발생 가능한 최대 후방 무게중심에 대해 항공기 안정성을 해석하였고, 비행시험을 통해 최종적으로 검증하였다. 선형해석 항목은 세로축 단주기 모드 특성 및 안정도 여유에 관하여 행하였으며, 비선형 해석 항목은 단주기 모드를 해석하기 위해 세로축 가진 입력에 대한 항공기 응답특성을 분석하였다. 또한, 최대 후방 무게중심에서 수행된 고받음각 비행시험 자료를 제시함으로써 T-50 고등훈련기의 비행 안정성을 제시하였다.

스포츠급 경항공기의 정안정 특성 풍동시험 연구 (A Wind Tunnel Study on the Static Stability Characteristics of Light Sport Aircraft)

  • 스포츠급 경항공기 개념 설계 단계에서 항공기의 정적 안정성 분석을 위해 1/5 축소모델로 풍동시험을 수행하였다. 제안된 경항공기의 동체 단독 및 동체에 주익, 수평꼬리날개, 수직꼬리날개 등을 조합한 6개 형상에 작용하는 공력을 내장형 밸런스를 이용하여 측정하고 정안정 미계수를 도출하여 기본 양항력 공력특성 및 각 요소가 세로 방향 가로 정안정 특성에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 풍동시험 결과로부터 특히, 수평꼬리날개와 수직꼬리날개 그리고 고익형태와 상반각을 갖는 주익 등이 각각 세로, 방향, 가로 정안정성에 미치는 기여정도를 정량적으로 파악하였으며, 본 시험결과는 항공기 각 형상 구성품 조합의 정안정 특성에 관한 유용한 실험자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 소형 무인비행체 드론의 비행제어기(Flight Controller) 소프트웨어로 널리 사용되고 있는 오픈소스(Open Source)에 대한 정적분석(Static Analysis)을 통해 소프트웨어 품질의 문제점을 분석하고 개선 방안을 제시한다. 소프트웨어 품질 기준으로는 국제적으로 널리 적용되고 있는 MISRA 코딩 규칙을 선정하였으며, 정적분석 도구는 국제 도구인증(Tool Certification)을 받아 항공분야 뿐만 아니라 안전성(Safety)이 요구되는 자동차, 철도, 원자력, 의료 등 모든 산업에서 활용되고 있는 LDRA Tool을 사용하였다. 오픈소스 모듈의 구조, 사용 데이터 분석, 코딩 규칙 준수, 품질 지표(복잡도 및 시험성) 등 소프트웨어의 품질 전반에서 안전성을 위협하는 문제점들을 발견하였으며, 이에 대한 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

Advanced Static Over-modulation Scheme using Offset Voltages Injection for Simple Implementation and Less Harmonics

  • In this paper, a novel static overmodulation scheme (OVM) for space-vector PWM (SVPWM) is proposed. The proposed static OVM scheme uses the concept of adding offset voltages in linear region as well as overmodulation region to fully utilize DC-link voltage. By employing zero sequence voltage injection, the proposed scheme reduces procedures for achieving SVPWM such as complicated gating time calculation. In addition, this paper proposes a stepwise discontinuous angle movement in high modulation region in order to reduce Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). The validity of the proposed scheme is verified through theoretical analysis and experimental results.

소형사각 보행로보트의 제작과 정적걸음새의 구현 (Design of Small Scale Quadruped Walking Robot and Realiazion of Static Gait)

  • This paper addresses the design and the gait control of quadruped walking robot. First, we concern the mechanical and electronical(control system) hardware of walking robot, and the second is the results of experiments. The walking robot is the most suitable form to substitute fot human being. So walking robot is worthy of research. The quadruped walking robot and control system is the simplest type of walking robot, therefore we designed a small seale robot for realization of static gait. The robot is designed commpactly and its legs are constructed parallel link type and able to move freely in space. Control system consists of one upper level controller and four lower level controllers. The upper level controller plans the walking path and commands the low level controllers to follow the planned path. The main function of low level cotrollers is control of motors. Total number of motors is twealve and they operate four legs. And robot is ordered to walk and realize static wave gait.

수동화 기법에 의한 비정방 선형 시스템의 강인 제어기 설계 (Robust Controller Design for Non-square Linear Systems Using a Passivation Approach)

  • We present a state-space approach to design a passivity-based dynamic output feedback control of a finite collection of non-square linear systems. We first determine a squaring gain matrix and an additional dynamics that is connected to the systems in a feedforward way, then a static passivating (i.e. rendering passive) control law is designed. Consequently, the actual feedback controller will be the static control law combined with the feedforward dynamics. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of the parallel feedfornward compensator (PFC) is given by the static output feedback fomulation, which enables to utilize linear matrix inequality (LMI). The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by some examples including the systems which can be stabilized by the proprotional-derivative (PD) control law.

환경심리행태를 고려한 청소년문화의집 공간환경 개선방안에 관한 연구 - 서울 지역 단독형을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Space Environment Improvement of Youth Cultural Center considering Environment Psychology and Behavior - Focus on the Independent Facilities of Seoul Area -)

  • The 5-day schoolweek system at the present has increased spare time of the youth. The society should use this opportunity to lead the youth to grow as a responsible community member as offering them programs to fulfill their desires and potential abilities. The purpose of this study is to have the improvements to give the youth appropriate and comfortable space. As the scope of the study, I selected a total of 5 places as each rating (the best, good, moderate, insufficient) 4 places in the comprehensive assessment conducted by youth facilities association among the independent buildings located in Seoul and 1 place after the assessment. As the methods of the study, with regard to environmental psychology and behavior and Youth cultural center, I investigated them theoretically as literature survey method, organized and analyzed, put them together through facilities research analysis and the survey. The research results are as follows : First, a static individual space should be placed in well accessibility due to high affinity for the facilities. Second, a dynamic individual space needs the place and equipment for physically and mentally healthy leisure culture. Third, a dynamic group space needs to provide ensuring service hours, setting proper size of space, comfortable indoor environment considering the relationship between physical activity and others. Fourth, a static group space needs to vary the programs to develop potential abilities by a variety of experiences to maintain the correlation the layout adjacent to leader's office.
