  • This paper deals with dynamic analysis method of a slotless type permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) using 3-dimensional space harmonic method. The results are good agreement with FEA results because that slotless type PMLSM has simple structure and no saturation of core. And then, Under open-loop control, starting characteristic is analyzed by voltage equation combining with dynamic equation. In order to obtain more accuracy results, this paper use instantaneous back-EMF and thrust instead of back-EMF constant and thrust constant.

  • This paper presents a nonconventional method for oft starting of three-phase induction motors, which achieved by flux weakening technique. flux weakening is not done by reducing the applied voltage as in the conventional methods, Flus weakening is achieved y increasing the supply frequency over the rated value while the voltage amplitude is kept constant. This method has advantage of reducing the stress on the electrical and mechanical systems. The feasibility of this basic idea has been confirmed through investigating the starting transient corresponding to this mode of operation. For this purpose, a rigorous state space mathematical model has been developed and simulated. The validity of the proposed method through the results from the mathematical model have been confirmed experimentally.

  • From standstill to medium speed which enough to sensing back EMF, it is not easy to drive without additional equipments due to directly proportional to flux. Conventional method to drive is 'align and go' method, so called v/f control that is increased voltage duty in proportion to the increase of frequency. Because it isn't consider load of motor and doesn't know rotor position exactly, current is supplied too much current or not enough to rotate motor. This paper is proposed starting method without any poison sensor and can drive a BLDC motor from standstill to the medium speed smoothly without any rattling and time delay compared with the conventional starting algorithm. To verify algorithm of this paper, experimental results are presented.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method which estimates the initial position of a PM synchronous motor (PMSM) using an incremental ecoder. in cremental encoders are widely used in detecting rotor position since they are inexpensive. At starting procedure, however, the incremental encoders cannot give the information of the absolute rotor position. Hence, additional absolue encoder, which has $60^{\circ}C$ resolutio electrically, and signal lines called U, V, W, have been used in practical systems for starting injection of a high frequency test current. It does not require any additional information such as U, V, W signals for starting procedure and allows for cheap and simple implementation. Experimental results show that the proposed method can estimate the initial rotor positon with higher accuracy than the conventional method using U, V, W signals.

  • According to the rapid growth of high speed and precise industry, the application of synchronous motor has been increased. In the application fields, the large synchronous motor is not a self-starting motor. The rotor is heavy and, from a dead stop, it is impossible to bring the rotor into magnetic lock with the rotating magnetic field for this reason, all synchronous motor have some kinds of starting device. A simple starter is another motor which brings the rotor up to approximately 96 percent of it synchronous speed. The starting motor is disconnected and the rotor locks in step with the rotating field. The more commony used starting method is to have the rotor to include a squirrel cage indution winding. This indution winding brings the rotor almost to synchronous speed as an induction motor. So, this paper describes excessive condition interpretation of a exciter circuit to prevent starting failure of large synchronous motor. the large synchronous motor needs safety of it in accordance with operating frequent start and stop. the operating Problem point of synchronous motor appears potential element damage of Exciter circuit because synchronous motor is caused synchronous separation. hence we eliminate it and improve starting toque.

노이즈에 강인한 음악 시작점 검출 알고리즘 (The Noise Robust Algorithm to Detect the Starting Point of Music for Content Based Music Retrieval System)

  • 본 논문에서는 노이즈에 강인한 음악 시작점 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 음악의 시작점 검출은 음악을 이용한 신호처리 시스템에 있어서 일관되지 않은 입력데이터를 통한 계산낭비, 비교검색 등의 문제 해결을 위해 필요한 것이다. 특히 신호처리를 이용한 내용기반 음악검색 시스템에서 시간의 순서로 데이터를 비교하는 시간순차적 검색방법에서는 더욱 필요시 된다. 시간순차적 검색 방법은 시간의 순서로 단순 비교를 수행하기 때문에 검색의 속도가 빠르다는 장점이 있는 반면 비교하는 데이터의 시작 시간이 동일해야 하는 단점이 있다. 하지만 디지털화된 음악은 비트레이트 변환에 의한 시작 시간의 동일함을 보장할 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 검색의 전처리 단계에서 음악의 시작점을 검출함으로써 시간순차적 검색 방법을 적용하여 고속의 검색을 수행하면서도 인식률이 낮아지지 않게 하였다. 시작점 검출은 소리를 검출할 수 있는 최소 파형모형을 이용하였으며 노이즈에 강인하기 위하여 묵음에 존재하는 노이즈는 스킵핑을 하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 실험을 통해 시작점 검출을 미적용한 결과보다 약 38% 성능이 향상됨을 확인하였으며 노이즈에 강인함을 검증하였다.

Free-Piston 엔진용 평판형 선형 발전기를 이용한 기동모드 해석 (Starting Mode Analysis of Flat-type Linear Generator for Free-Piston Engine)

  • Free-piston engine system is a new type energy converter which uses a linear motion of piston by using linear generator. In free-piston engine system, the piston is not connected to a crank-shaft. The major advantages of free-piston engine system are high efficiency and low mechanical loss from the absence of motion conversion devices. Linear generator of free-piston engine system is used as generator and starting motor. In design step, considering of back-emf and detent force characteristics for generating mode and thrust and control characteristics for starting mode is needed. In this research, generating mode of flat-type linear generator and tubular-type linear generator is analyzed by finite element analysis method and starting mode of both type linear generators is analyzed by using capability curve. Capability curve is plotted from electrical parameters of both type linear generator and motion profile is calculated from mechanical parameters.

가솔린관 점화장치의 전자제어에 의한 시동성향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Engine Starting Performance for Gasoline Engine Ignition System using Electronic Control)

  • The ability of the engine starting performance of conventional ignition system being currently used in automobile gasoline engine is investigated, and the method of improving is discussed and experimented. The conventional ignition system cannot obtain high ignited voltage because its current is limited by decreasing of terminal voltage of battery at starting the engine also causes irregularity in the starting engine. This paper shows that problem can be improved practically by control of ignition energy properly according to the engine speed, consequently this experimental ignition system can eliminate to remarkable extent the function of the engine starting, and also enhance the performance of the engine at high speed.

  • A DC railway system has low feeder voltage, The fault current can be smaller than the current of load starting. So it is important to discriminate between the small fault current and the load starting current. The load starting current increases step by step but the fault current increases all at once. So the type of ${\Delta}I$ relay(50F) was developed using the different characteristics between the load starting current and the fault current. As for the load starting current, the time constant of load current at each step is much smaller than that of the fault current. First, to detect faults in DC railway systems, an algorithm using the time constant calculated by the method of least squares is presented in this paper. Secondly, to compose a protection scheme for DC railway systems is presented in this paper.

대용량 유도기 기동 특성 모델링 및 전략적 기동 방법에 관한 연구 (Modeling and Strategic Startup Scheme for Large-Scaled Induction Motors)

  • 본 논문은 대용량 유도전동기가 기동할 때 발생하는 큰 돌입전류로 인해 PCC(Point of Common Coupling)에 심한 전압 강하가 발생하게 되어 기동에 실패하는 문제를 해결하기 위해 대상 유도전동기의 기동 특성과 배전계통을 모델링하고 시뮬레이션을 수행함으로써 유도기 기동시에 전압저하 현상을 해석하였다. 문제가 되는 유도전동기는 2500KVA 용량의 펌프용 농형 유도전동기로 리액터 기동법을 채용하고 있다. 2500KVA 유도전동기 한대의 기동에는 문제가 없으나 기동 완료 후 PCC 전압이 다소 떨어진다. 하지만 추가로 동일 용량의 유도전동기가 기동하게 되면 PCC의 심한 전압강하로 기동에 실패하게 되는 문제가 발생하였다. 이러한 문제 해결을 위해 본 논문에서는 실제 기기의 기동시 토크-속도 곡선을 이용한 유도전동기의 기동 특성을 정확히 모델링하고 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 두 대의 대용량 유도전동기가 순차적으로 기동에 성공할 수 있는 적절한 전압보상 방안을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 논의되는 대용량 유도전동기는 한국수자원공사의 취수장에서 운전되고 있으며 대상 유도전동기 및 배전계통은 PSCAD/EMTDC 소프트웨어를 사용하여 모델링 및 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.
