Preference-based Supply Chain Partner Selection Using Fuzzy Ontology (퍼지 온톨로지를 이용한 선호도 기반 공급사슬 파트너 선정)

  • Supply chain management is a strategic thinking which enhances the value of supply chain and adapts more promptly for the changing environment. For the seamless partnership and value creation in supply chains, information and knowledge sharing and proper partner selection criteria must be applied. Thus, the partner selection criteria are critical to maintain product quality and reliability. Each part of a product is supplied by an appropriate supply partner. The criteria for selecting partners are technological capability, quality, price, consistency, etc. In reality, the criteria for partner selection may change according to the characteristics of the components. When the part is a core component, quality factor is the top priority compared to the price. For a standardized component, lower price has a higher priority. Sometimes, unexpected case occurs such as emergency order in which the preference may shift on the top. Thus, SCM partner selection criteria must be determined dynamically according to the characteristics of part and its context. The purpose of this research is to develop an OWL model for the supply chain partnership depending on its context and characteristics of the parts. The uncertainty of variable is tackled through fuzzy logic. The parts with preference of numerical value and context are represented using OWL. Part preference is converted into fuzzy membership function using fuzzy logic. For the ontology reasoning, SWRL (Semantic Web Rule Language) is applied. For the implementation of proposed model, starter motor of an automobile is adopted. After the fuzzy ontology is constructed, the process of selecting preference-based supply partner for each part is presented.

  • 액화천연가스(LNG : Liquified Natural Gas)는 연료로 사용하기 위하여 기화하는 과정을 거치게 되는데 기화하는 방식에는 해수에 의한 기화와 공기에 의한 기화의 두 가지 방식으로 나뉘게 된다. 해수에 의한 기화는 LNG 인수기지에서 대량의 LNG를 NG로 기화하기 위하여 사용하며, 공기에 의한 기화는 LNG 위성기지에서 사용처에 적합한 온도를 얻기 위해서 일반적으로 많이 사용하고 있는 공기식 기화기를 이용하여 기화를 하는 방식을 취하고 있다. LNG가 NG로 기화하는 과정에서 1kg당 200kcal의 냉열을 외부로 방출하고 있으며, 이러한 냉열의 방출로 인하여 공기식 기화기의 표면에 결빙현상을 발생시킨다. 또한 현재 사용하고 있는 기화기는 $2{\sim}3$개의 기화기를 연결하여 사용하고 있어 그 비용의 손실이 크다고 할 수 있다. 그리하여 본 연구는 최근 사용빈도가 증가하고 있는 공기식 기화기에 관한 것으로 작동유체는 실제 LNG와 특성이 비슷한 초저온 액화가스인 $LN_2$를 사용하였다. 이번 연구에 사용된 변수는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 각각의 기화기의 길이를 4000mm, 6000mm, 8000mm으로 하였고 핀의 type을 finless, 4fin, 8fin으로 하여 적용하였다. 두 번째는 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울철에 따른 기화기의 성능을 알고자 각각의 계절별 온도와 습도를 적용하였다. 마지막으로 계절별 풍속과 실험을 하는 시간 동안의 유량을 알고자 압력을 1 bar로 적용하였다. 그리하여 이번 연구의 목적으로는 각각의 변수를 통하여 실험을 진행 한 후 vaporizer type과 길이에 대한 최적의 성능을 가지는 기화기에 대한 자료를 제시하고자 한다.기성분은 균주에 따른 약간의 차이가 있었으나 경향은 비슷하게 나타났다. 이상의 결과 알코올 발효 균주에 따른 참다래 와인의 이화학적 품질특성에는 큰 차이가 없었으나 고급알코올함량을 비교하였을 때 Sacch. cerevisiae Wine 3이 와인제조에 가장 적합한 것으로 평가되었다.장 낮은 값을 나타내었으며, 홍국의 함유량이 증가할수록 유의적으로 증가하였다. b값은 CSB가 가장 낮은 값을 나타내었으며, 홍국의 함유량이 증가할수록 유의적으로 증가하였다. 물성측정 결과 경도와 응집성은 각 시료들 간의 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 탄력성과 부서짐성은 CSB가 가장 낮았으며, 홍국의 함유량이 증가할수록 증가하였다. 점착성은 SDB1이 가장 낮았으며, 홍국의 함유량이 증가할수록 증가하였다. 관능검사 결과 기공의 균일성은 SDB1이 가장 균일한 것으로 나타났으며, 색은 홍국의 함유량이 증가할수록 높게 나타났다. 경도, 탄력성, 단맛 및 신맛 등은 홍국 함유량이 증가할수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이취는 SDB1이 가장 적게 나는 것으로 나타났으며, 전반적인 기호도는 SDB1이 가장 높았다. 따라서 홍국을 10% 첨가한 sourdough starter를 3일 동안 발효한 후 반죽에 첨가하여 sourdough bread를 제조할 때 품질이 가장 우수한 제품을 얻을 수 있었다.생수와 여러 물질의 혼합용액의 온도가 장에 끼치는 자극에 차이가 있지 않나 추측되며 이에 관한 추후 연구가 요망된다. 총대장통과시간의 단축은 결장 분절 모두에서 줄어들어 나타났으나 좌측결장 통과시간의 감소 및 이로 인한 이 부위의 통과시간 비율의 저하가 가장 주요하였다. 이러한 결과는 차가운 생수 섭취가 주로 결장 근위부를 자극하는 효과를 발휘하는 것이 아닌가

Soil Fertility Status of Arableland in Korea and Their Management Practices Required (우리나라경토의 비옥도현황과 시비관리대책)

  • In order to find out the reasons for the excessive accumulation of certain fertilizer elements in arable land in Korea, which may be a detrimental factor for her sustainable agriculture in the future, total requirement of fertilizers were estimated from the huge number of soil test data obtained throughout the country using the fertilizer requirement models based on the soil analysis data and the concepts of multi nutrient factor balance or starter fertiliazer. The total fertilizer requirements estimated based on the present soil fertility status were much less than those estimated from the suspected cropping area of various crops cultivated depending on the conventional fertilizer recommendation for each crops or the actual amount of fertilizer elements consumed through National Agricultural Cooporative Federation(NACF). The excessive accumulation of certain fertilizer elements in arable land in Korea must be due to excessively high dose of chemical fertilizers as well as those farm wastes such as animal wasts produced unexpectedly in large amounts or crop residues. And it is suggested that the improved fertilizer recommendation must be developed in consideration both with the soil fertility status and the amounts of nutrient removal by each crop, and that the high analyzed complex fertilizers commonly used by farmers must ugently be developed in a form containing low P and K with Mg and slow release type N for the better balanced management practices of soil fertility by farmers arid for their practices of sustainable agriculture.

Physicochemical Characteristics and Immunomodulating Activity by Mozzarella Cheese made with Streptococcus macedonicus LC743 (Streptococcus macedonicus LC743으로 제조된 모짜렐라 치즈의 면역증진 및 이화학적 특성)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate physicochemical characteristics of the Mozzarella cheese produced by Streptococcus macedonicus LC743 with immunomodulating activity. The Mozzarella cheese produced by S. macedonicus LC743 has contents of water, protein and fat 53.16%, 53.16% and 20.52%, respectively. In case of nitrogen composition, water soluble nitrogen (WSN), trichloroacetic acid soluble nitrogen (TCASN), phosphotungstic acid soluble nitrogen (PTASN) has the value of 0.384%, 0.051% and 0.060 Nmg/g, respectively. Total amino acid of Mozzarella cheese produced by S. macedonicus LC743 has the higher contents of amino acid than Mozzarella cheese produced by commercial starter except for cysteine. The Mozzarella cheese has immunomodulating activity on IL-$1{\alpha}$, TNF-${\alpha}$, NO with the value of >2,000 pg/mL, 743.38 pg/mL and $8.31{\mu}M$, respectively. The immunomodulating activity of Mozzarella cheese produced by S. macedonicus LC743 was higher than domestic of imported cheese.

Effects of Gamma Irradiation on Queso Blanco Cheese (퀘소블랑코 치즈의 감마선 조사 처리 효과)

  • Effects of gamma irradiation on chemical, microbiological, and immunological changes of Queso Blanco cheese were investigated. Although Queso Blanco cheese was made by heat pasteurization at 85$^{\circ}$C and addition of acid without lactic starter culture, total bacterial counts and lactic acid bacterial counts of control cheese were 7.65${\pm}$0.04 and 7.64${\pm}$0.02 log CFU/mL, respectively. It was thought that this microbial growth was due to the incomplete inactivation of raw milk by the heat treatment, resulting into growth during the pressing and the drying process. It demonstrated the possibility that if heat- and acid-resistant hazard microbes are present in raw milk, they can grow during the processes. Lactic acid bacterial counts of the irradiated cheese were 5.45${\pm}$0.02 log CFU/mL at 1kGy, 2.12${\pm}$0.12 log CFU/mL at 2kGy, and not detected at 3kGy or higher doses. The reduction of antigenicity by gamma irradiation was not found. It might be caused by the fact that most whey proteins of milk, a major antigen in milk, were already denaturated by heat process and removed during the draining.

Effects of fermentation by the commercial starter ABT-5 on the flavor and antioxidant activities of dark chocolate (복합 유산균 스타터 ABT-5를 이용한 발효 다크 초콜릿의 항산화 활성 및 향기 성분)

  • Chocolate, one of the most popular confectioneries in the world, is known for its aromatic flavor and high antioxidant activities. In this study, we investigated the effects of fermentation with commercially available lactic acid bacteria, ABT-5, on the flavor and antioxidant activities of dark chocolate. During 24 h fermentation, pH decreased from 5.52 to 3.97 and total acidity increased from 0.51 to 1.85%, whereas total polyphenol and flavonoid contents as well as DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities remained unchanged. Furthermore, compared with control HepG2 cells treated with unfermented dark chocolate, those treated with the fermented dark chocolate showed significantly lower levels of reactive oxygen species and higher viability under $H_2O_2-induced$ oxidative stress. Finally, GC-MS and headspace GC-MS analysis detected 4-hydroxy-2,5-dimethyl-3(2H)-furanone and 2-furanmethanol, known to enhance flavor, in the fermented dark chocolate. Collectively, these results suggest that ABT-5-fermented dark chocolate could be utilized for developing value-added dark chocolate products.

Effects of Weaning Age on Growth Performance, Feed Intake, Disease Occurrence of Hanwoo Calves and Reproductive Efficiency of Dams (한우 송아지 이유시기가 증체, 사료섭취량, 질병발생 및 어미소의 번식효율에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate effects of weaning age on growth perforance, feed intake, disease occurrence and maternal reproductive efficiency in Hanwoo. Sixty experimental calves were allocated into two groups, early weaned (n=29, calf age 90 d, EW) and normally weaned (n=31, calf age 120 d, NW). Body weights and average daily gains during nursing and post-weaning periods were similar between two groups (p>0.05). Weaning age had no effect on calf starter, grass hay, dry matter, crude protein and TDN intakes of calves (p>0.05). Maternal calving interval in EW was shortened by 23 days compared to NW (p>0.05). Any difference in occurrence of disease was not observed between groups. Present results indicate that early weaning age has no negative effects on growth performance, feed intake or on disease occurrence in Hanwoo calves. And it has positive influence on maternal calving interval.

Effect of a Mixture of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) Isomers on T Cell Subpopulation and Responsiveness to Mitogen in Splenocytes of Male Broiler Chicks

  • The experiments were conducted to determine effects of a mixture of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) isomers on T cell subpopulations and responsiveness to mitogen of splenocytes in male broiler chicks. In experiment 1, birds (8-d old) were fed basal, CLA-(CLA) and safflower oil-supplemented (SA) diets which were formulated by supplementary 10 g CLA or safflower oil/kg to the basal diet for 14 d. Broiler starter diet, which mainly consisted of corn and soybean meal, was served as the basal diet. Proliferative response and interleukin (IL)-2-like activity stimulated by concanavalin (Con) A at a concentration of $10{\mu}g/ml$ of splenocytes in chicks fed the CLA diet were greater than in chicks fed the SA diet, but not at $20{\mu}g$ Con A/ml. Percentage of CD3-positive T cells in splenocytes did not differ between chicks fed the SA diet and CLA. Ratio of CD4-positive T cells to CD8- positive T cells was significantly affected by dietary fat source. In experiment 2, broiler chicks (1-d old) were fed the same diets as in experiment 1 for 14 d. Results of splenocyte proliferation to Con A were similar to those in experiment 1, but phytohemaggulutinin (PHA)- or pokeweed mitogen (PWM)- induced splenocyte proliferation did not differ between the CLA and SA fed groups. Supplementation with SA or CLA to the basal diet tended to have a depressive effect on the proliferation, with the greater effect being that of SA. In experiment 3, effect of an addition of CLA to splenocyte culture medium on splenocyte proliferation was determined. An addition of CLA to the culture medium resulted in reduction of the splenocyte proliferation to Con A, but an addition of linoleic acid. When PWM and PHA were used as mitogen, the inhibitory effect of CLA and linoleic acid on the proliferation did not differ. The results suggested that the effect of dietary CLA on splenocyte proliferation was similar to that of SA, although the effect of dietary CLA on sub-populations was slightly different from that of dietary SA. Further studies are needed to clarify whether use of CLA would be beneficial for maintaining or enhancing T cell immunity in chicks.

Effect of Qualitative and Quantitative Feed Restriction on Growth Performance and Immune Function in Broiler Chickens

  • The current study was conducted to investigate the effect of early feed restriction (FR, 8 to 14 d of age) on growth performance and immune function in broiler chickens. Birds were fed corresponding diets from 3 to 35 d of age, which consisted of three phases: starter (3 to 7 d of age), FR (8 to 14 d of age) and re-alimentation (15 to 35 d of age) phases. During the FR period, each group of birds was fed the basal diet ad libitum (CON), 85% (EN85) and 70% (EN70) of lower calorie diet ad libitum (qualitative FR), and 85% (FI85) and 70% (FI70) of voluntary intake on a daily basis (quantitative FR). As a result, there was no statistical difference in weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio between the CON and quantitative or qualitative FR groups during the entire (3 to 35 d) periods. In particular, the EN85 group resulted in a significant (p<0.05) increase in weight gain compared with the EN70, FI85 and FI70 groups. Plasma total protein and albumin at 14 d of age (during FR) were significantly (p<0.05) lower in the quantitative and qualitative FR groups, but these parameters at 35 d of age (after re-alimentation) were higher (p<0.05) in the EN85 and EN70 groups than in the CON group. Plasma IgG level was unaffected by dietary FR procedure. In cytokines, there was no significant difference in the expression of lymphocytic IL-4 and IFN-${\gamma}$ at 14 d of age between the FR and the CON groups, whereas lymphocytic IL-6 and iNOS expression were significantly (p<0.05) lower in FI85 and FI70 groups. Moreover, lymphocytic iNOS was also significantly (p<0.05) lower in birds fed qualitative and quantitative diets compared with those fed ad libitum. In the thymus, IL-4 expression was higher (p<0.05) in FI85 and FI70 groups, whereas IL-6 expression was lower (p<0.05) in the FI85 and FI70 groups than in the CON group. Thymic iNOS was significantly (p<0.05) lower in birds fed qualitatively and quantitatively restricted diets compared with those fed ad libitum. At 35 d of age, there was no difference in the expression of IL-4, IL-6 and IFN-${\gamma}$ of lymphocytes and thymus between the FR and CON groups. In conclusion, 85% of quantitative and qualitative FR would have a beneficial effect on the expression of some cytokines including IL-4 and iNOS without change in growth performance of birds.

Characteristics of Citrus By-Product Ferment Using Probiotics as Starter (Probiotics를 이용하여 발효시킨 감귤 가공부산물 발효물의 특성)

  • In this study, we investigated the biological activity of antioxidant and antibacterial activity of citrus by-product ferment. Among the six probiotic bacteria, Bacillus subtilis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae had the highest antioxidant activity. Hot water extracts from citrus by-product of ferment were screened for antibacterial activity fish pathogenic bacteria by paper disc method. Among the various hot water extracts, the Bacillus subtilis, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Enterococcus faecium showed relatively strong antibacterial activities in the order. The reducing activity on the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical and $O^{2-}$ and OH radical scavenging potential were sequentially screened, in search for antioxidant activities of citrus by-product ferment.
