A Study on the Role of the College to Foster Student Entrepreneurship Contents - Focused on the case of Y College of Dept. Fashion Indestry (학생 창업콘텐츠 육성을 위한 전문대학교의 역할 - Y전문대학교 패션산업과 사례를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out whether the many start-up support programs provided by a college can actually help students start a business, and to discuss what role colleges should have as facilitators of student entrepreneurship. To this end, a qualitative study was conducted with seven students who wished to start a business by utilizing start-up education and support programs provided by College Y. As a result of the study, the participants first mentioned parallel and administrative inefficiency in entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurship programs. Second, the implications for the role of colleges in fostering start-up content are systematic planning and guidance for start-up programs operated by the college, concise administrative procedures, mentoring in various start-up items, and securing a test market. It can be said that the concept of a common office in which students can work together is necessary. The study is significant in that it can help to establish a start-up support plan by suggesting what role colleges should play in relation to entrepreneurship, but its limitation is that its scope includes only one specific major.

A Comparative Study on Start-up and Normal Operation Data for Phosphorus Removal in WWTPs (인 처리시설 시운전 및 정상운전 자료 비교·분석 연구)

  • This study aimed to obtain quantitative data for WWTP operators in phosphorus removal process. This was done by reviewing and comparing phosphorus removal efficiency(%), coagulants dosage(Al/P and $Al_2O_3$(mg/L)), sludge production($kg/m^3$), and operation cost($won/m^3$) of start-up and normal operation data. Phosphorus removal efficiency of all tertiary treatment process was up to 70 ~ 89 % in start-up and normal operation. Average molar ratio(Al/P) was similar as 5 in both operations, but average coagulants dosage (mg/L) of start-up (8.5 mg/L) was higher than normal operation (6.2 mg/L). Average operation cost was higher for start-up ($33.6won/m^3$) than normal operation ($28.4won/m^3$), while electricity cost required for the normal operation ($9.0won/m^3$) was higher by $3.5won/m^3$.

  • This study provides an overview of instruments for mobile contents start-up companies promotion that are currently available in Seoul. It includes a brief description of several different types of start-up companies and development processes for each of those companies so that it can analyze and figure out critical success factors for sustainable growth. In addition, the case studies of five mobile contents related companies are used to obtain more detailed insights into the development processes. The study focuses on mobile contents startups promotion used as a public policy for encouraging more productive and knowledge-intensive ventures, with the aim of upgrading management activities and creating more startups-friendly business environment. Consequently, the key target groups of the measures discussed in the study include mobile contents start-ups and start-ups that exploit new business opportunities in Seoul.

  • The government set up "national happiness, the hope of a new era of national vision under' job center of the creative economy" to achieve by national goals in the first and figure achieved through the establishment of new growth engines of the youth unemployment problem solve and national level there are a number of business start-up support. September 8, 2015 announced the Government's look at the '2016 Year of the budget, the government for new growth engines greatly promoted the venture entrepreneurship ecosystem revitalization and research and development (R & D) the business for enhanced performance in 2017. According to the direction of this study is to evaluate the current creative economy business incubator at the comparison whether the correct orientation mainly entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs preliminary recognition of student entrepreneurship ecosystem. Entrepreneurs 113 people in that way, 71 people pre-entrepreneurs, students 60, workers were founding agencies conducted an online survey of 47 people, 16 people Investors, 50 public and 11 additional persons including a total of 368 people. This study is in line with the orientation of these entrepreneurs to create economic status and recognition of the Republic of Korea entrepreneurship ecosystem, pre- entrepreneurs, students will examine the comparative analysis around. Analysis, social perception of entrepreneurship is somewhat higher than it was confirmed that the negative response of 32.2% to 36.3% of positive response. Social awareness of entrepreneurs showed a 2-fold higher response rate than the negative of response of 17.1% to 41.7% responding that positive recognition for the current start-up environment is bad, the response is good response to higher response rate than 23.5% to 41.1% It showed. The percentage of responses that better respect the entrepreneurship environment of the future Republic of Korea showed a higher response rate than the rate of 23% in response to deteriorate to 41.2%, with 52.9% awareness is the percentage that responded that the bad part about the ruthless Korea's entrepreneurship environment in China good part as response rate approximately three times greater than the 17.7% showed high response rates. Social awareness of entrepreneurs experience the presence of the founding start-up experience was confirmed that the more negative the number increases, the more the contrary the number of start-up experience increased awareness of the current and future environment of entrepreneurship was identified as a positive entrepreneurship environment. Analysis of Start-up Sustainability Factors Based on ERIS Model: Focusing on the Organization Resilience (ERIS모델 기반 창업지속요인 분석: 조직 리질리언스를 중심으로)

  • This study is based on ERIS model for start-up performance, and aims to derive the main reason for start-up sustainability centered on organizational resilience. To this end, systematic literature examination and modified Delphi method were used to investigate start-up sustainability factors based on ERIS Model focused on organizational resilience. The results showed that ERIS model-based entrepreneurial continuity factors were divided into four categories: entrepreneur, resource, industrial environment, strategy, subdivision 8 and detailed factors 54. In addition, the ERIS model-based continuity factors were structured around organizational resilience, and the continuity factors were structured according to ERIS model under five categories: leadership, culture, people, system and environment. The results of this study are as follows. First of all, the results of existing research and analysis show that the concept of successful start-up and sustainability of start-up are used in various fields. Second, it is confirmed that there are common factors of influence on start-up performance and start-up sustainability based on ERIS model. Third, Delphi method's results showed that the general characteristics of entrepreneurs, such as academic background, education level, gender, age, and business experience did not affect the sustainability of entrepreneurship. This study is significant in that it is based on ERIS model focused on organization resilience, and ERIS-R, which integrates Strategy into System and Organization resilience into R in the field of gradually expanding start-up development and support. It is expected that the results of this study will improve the sustainability of start-up that can predict, prevent, and overcome various crises at any time.

Factors Affecting Entrepreneurial Intention: A Case Study of University Students in Vietnam

  • This paper explores the direct relationships between perceived support, attitude toward entrepreneurship, institutional environment, entrepreneurship education, risk-taking, and entrepreneurial intention. A survey of 1,000 students in Vietnam was conducted through face-to-face structured interviews. The confirmatory factor analysis and technique of structural equation modeling were used to explore relationships among latent constructs. The results show that entrepreneurship education, attitude, and social norms positively affect entrepreneurial intention. The findings of this study suggest that attitude has the strongest effect on entrepreneurial intention. More specifically, when students have an attitude toward entrepreneurship, they are more likely to start their own businesses. Research also showed that students are more likely to start a business when they find support from those around them and the knowledge and skills from the university. In contrast, the remaining factors, including perceived support, institutional environment, and risk-taking, do not affect entrepreneurial intention. The reasons for this result are that students cannot accurately assess risks due to lack of entrepreneurial knowledge, and start-up policies in Vietnam are currently focusing on financial support, but not on many other aspects, so that it may lead to start-up policies not being appreciated. The results provide implications for policymakers and educators for entrepreneurship development.

A Qualitative Case Study on the Success of Fashion Retail Start-up by Young Entrepreneurs (청년 창업가의 패션소매 창업 성공에 관한 질적 사례연구)

  • This study examines the experience structure and success theme in the business experience of successful young entrepreneurs in the fashion field. The study was conducted as a qualitative case study. The participants were three CEOs with more than 10 years fashion businesses experience with small and medium enterprises. Data were collected from July 2016 to June 2017 through in-depth interviews in Seoul and Gwangju as well as literature collected from other journals, newspaper articles, and books. Collected data were first summarized in 284 meaning units and then reduced to 53 common meanings through description, analysis, and interpretation processes that produced 16 sub-themes. Finally, six successful themes were extracted. The study results are as follows. First, the experience structure for successful entrepreneurs is formed by the qualitative difference of experience according to time order. Second, there are six successful themes found in the fashion start-up process. 1. Developing talent as entrepreneurs with a sense of fashion and enthusiasm 2. Passing on trial and error as a chance to communicate with customers 3. Challenge the fashion retail market with global online start-up opportunities 4. Building a system that responds to market environment changes 5. Leading and distinguishing with expertise from entrepreneurs 6. Evolve into the coexistence of members.

Success Factors of Internet-based Business in the Start-up Phase (창업단계의 인터넷 비즈니스 성공요인에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • The Purpose of this study is to Identify and analyze the factors that determine the survival or success of internet-based companies in the start-up phase. The reason why we focus on companies which are in the early stage of development is because internet business is still at its early stage, and statistics indicate that many internet businesses have failed during the start-up phase. Using the model of new product outcomes proposed by Cooper(1979), we have formulated a conceptual model for more successful internet business ventures. On the basis of this model, the relationship between the financial and non-financial performance and various variables in the model is analyzed. For collecting empirical data, a web-based survey questionnaire was designed. A total of 97 usable questionnaires were gathered from internet companies nationwide. The results showed that controllable variables such as the commercial entity and information acquired during the new business process are related to the non-financial performance, while environment variables such as the compatibility of the resource base of the firm with the business, including a few controllable variables, are related to the financial performance. Future research needs to explore more precisely how the success factors are different according to the types of internet businesses and/or the stages of growth of the business.

  • The purpose of this study is to arrange a plan for which humanities digital contents can be directly utilized in modern people's life through a convergent approach between humanities and ICT. It inquired into a plan for developing and applying contents, which are made contents in the aspect of cartoon and animation, by excavating contents available for advancing to start-up in Greater China based on the Chinese cultural content archetype. Also, the aim is to offer the integrated start-up DB and child-care mentoring program for advancing to greater China that supports the development in specific ICT start-up item, through a research on smart-phone APP publishing environment based on ICT and a research on mobile big-data ecological environment.

  • This study is about the effect of the founder's self-efficacy on the sales of the founding company by focusing on the factors that are currently emphasized in the founding education. In particular, this paper starts from the consciousness of the problem that the education that is being implemented to achieve the purpose of successful start-up among various government-based start-up support projects is failing to produce many start-up failures. Entrepreneurs cannot be assessed by objective financial data, but there is a high degree of uncertainty that should be determined based on their personal and learning abilities. In addition, many previous studies, which are likely to be successful when there is a high self-efficacy in a specific field due to the influence of factors such as personal experience or learning, will answer the direction of support for start-up companies. This study focuses on the impact of the founder's self-efficacy on the sales of the founding firms, especially the sales that are the key to the survival of the founding firms. This study has six major studies. First, to analyze whether the self-efficacy of entrepreneurs with respect to entrepreneurship affects the sales of entrepreneurs. Second, to analyze whether the self-efficacy of entrepreneurs with respect to market orientation affects the sales of entrepreneurs. Analysis of whether the founder's self-efficacy affects the sales of the founding firms. Fourth, analysis of whether the founder's self-efficiency affects the sales of the founding firms' understanding of management environment changes. An analysis of whether efficacy affects the sales of a start-up company, and sixth, an analysis of whether the founder's self-efficacy of business model building ability affects the sales of a start-up company. As a result of the empirical analysis, this study found that the self-efficacy of entrepreneurs on product differentiation capability and business model building capacity had a positive influence on the sales of entrepreneurs. The self-efficacy had a positive effect on self-efficacy, and the customer orientation had a positive effect on self-efficacy on business model building capacity. Also, it was confirmed that a path exists between the components of self-efficacy and that self-efficacy through the path has a positive effect on the sales of the start-up company. Therefore, the results of this study suggest the implications of establishing such a path and strengthening self-efficacy to create the survival and start-up performance of a start-up company if the goal of the start-up company is to survive when implementing various support projects for the start-up company.
