In this study, the carbody design of the rubber tired AGT(Automated Guide-way Transit System) under development by KRRI was numerically analysed to evaluate its structural strength according to the standard specifications for Korean LRT (Light Rail Transit). The numerical results showed that the detail design of the carbody was strong enough to satisfy the specifications with respect to the axial compression strength, the vertical strength and the vertical stiffness(natural frequency). However, the carbody design had some problems on the fatigue strength by twist loadings. So, it was recommended that the carbody design should be modified to improve the twisting strength by reinforcing the front end structures.

In the standard specifications for the urban EMU(Electric Multiple Unit) train, there are several items to ensure safety against accidents. The 21th -23th items have much relation with the crashworthiness of the urban EMU train. In this study, the rubber- tired AGT(Automated Guide-way Transit System) under development by KRRI is numerically evaluated in a crashworthy point of view by applying the above crashworthiness items. The numerical results show the detail design of the AGT satisfies the 22th and 23th items. But the design is recommended to adopt mechanical fuses to reduce the impact accelerations with respect to the 21th item.

This study introduces the CEOS (Committee for Earth Obseuing Satellites) standard format structure that is applicable to image formats of Earth observation systems, and describes several important parameters for post-process applications, especially in precise SAR geocoding and terrain correction application. ERS and RADARSAT were chosen as a representative case and the meaning and usage of various fields in LEADER file were investigated in detail from the viewpoint of SAR geocoding and terrain correction applications.

Recently, filtering methods for attenuating noise while preserving image details are in progress actively. And SM(standard median) filter showed a great performance for noise removal in impulse noise environment but, it caused edge cancellation error. So, variable methods that modified SM(standard median) filter have been proposed, and CWM(center weighted median) filter is representative. Also, there are several methods to improve the efficiency based on min/max operation in term of preserving detail and filtering speed. In this paper, we managed a pixel corrupted by impulsive noise using min/max value of the surrounding band enclosing a pixel, and compared the efficiency with exiting methods in the simulation.

The study aimed at investigating the terms for each type of the current household furniture and at analyzing a standard based on those terms researched for the furniture, not including kitchen and child furniture. The study was conducted in sales and R&D division of major furniture brands such as Jang-In Gagu, Borneo, and Livart by surveying their staffs, and then, the investigated names were classified according to similar criteria and it was finally analyzed by the definite standard of the names made. In the results, the following 5 standards largely play roles for the naming. First, name according to requirements, second, construction of door, third, materials, fourth, shapes, and lastly, function. Except for the terms of "Sobari" expressed only as Japanese and "living room cabinet of Extension-type" using Korean and English along, most of the names show furniture in detail, and the names from Hangeul, Korean alphabet and from the English have recently and drastically increased with the lifestyle change influenced from Western world.

Based on the real field test of 22.9kV HTS cable, which is installed in Gochang Power Testing Center located in Chonbuk Province, the standard for the performance test and the quality evaluation have been established. This work will be applied to the development of HTS cable and the purchase process as a practical material. In particular, new items for the cable evaluation such as the measurement of critical current and the heat loss, which was not dealt with in conventional cable, are specified in detail.

In this paper, we introduce the status of certificate test on crystalline silicon photovoltaic module in Korea. Up to 3. 2009, about 149 models have passed certificate test under KS C IEC61215 standard. Most products are from Korea, Japan, China. And some are from USA, German and Taiwan. A few environmental test items' results and standard test methods will be discussed. The detail discussion will be shown in the following paper.

This paper presents the methods to acquire the Safety Certificate from Independent Safety Assessment based on the IEC standard62279 which is commonly applied to railway system for Automatic Train Control(ATC) system in accordance with Urban Maglev project. This also shows approach methods and relative activities for project life-cycle to accomplish and ensure the system requirements of ATC system, RAMS and S/W quality activities. Furthermore, the key tasks conducted with ISA are noted in detail. These kind of activities for software quality of ATC system to obtain Safety Certificate could be a CASE model to improve the quality of domestic railway system and products, and also contribute to the growth of railway business and toward the achievement of overseas' railway signaling markets.

The publication International Standard Banking Practice for the Examination of Documents under Documentary Letters of Credit (ISBP) is the product by a task force of the ICC Banking Commission. The ISBP is a practical complement to UCP 500, ICC’s universally used rules on documentary credits. The ISBP does not amend the UCP. It explains, in explicit detail, how the rules are to be applied on a day-to-day basis. It fills a needed gap between the general principles announced in the rules and the daily work of the documentary credit practitioner. By using the ISBP, document checkers can bring their practices in line with those followed by their colleagues worldwide. The result should be a significant reduction in the number of documents refused for discrepancies on first presentation.

본 연구는 기존의 인쇄본 백과사전 평가이론에 근거하면서도 CD-ROM 백과사전에 적합한 체계적인 평가기준을 개발하여 우수한 CD-ROM 백과사전을 선정, 구입하기 위한 지침을 마련하는데 목적을 둔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 CD-ROM 백과사전의 평가기준을 도서관에서 CD-ROM 백과사전을 선정, 구입하는데 필요한 평가과정에 따라 서평지의 평가, 기본이 되는 인쇄본 백과사전, 시험용 디스크의 이용가능성, 하드웨어의 요구사양과 소프트웨어 설치의 용이성, 데이터베이스의 내용, 검색 소프트웨어, 단독 사용형과 네트워크용, Standard판과 Deluxe판, 가격의 9가지 범주로 나누고 각 범주 아래에서 세부적인 평가요소와 항목을 제시하였다.
