초기 단계의 성능분포를 활용한 신뢰성 인증시험의 설계 (Design of Reliability Qualification Test Based on Performance Distribution at the Earlier Stage)

  • A design of reliability qualification test based on performance distribution is developed. In general, the performance of an item degrades as the time goes by and the failure of an item occurs when the performance degradation reaches the pre-determined critical level. This article considers the reliability qualification test based on a more tightened critical value at the earlier stage to reduce the evaluation testing time and cost. A numerical example is provided to illustrate how to use the developed reliability qualification test.

다단 기어장치의 신뢰성 평가에 관한 연구 (Reliability Evaluation of Multi-Stage Gear Drive)

  • Recently the design of multi-stage gear drive is being highly concerned. Until now, since the researches of gear drive are focused on the design for satisfying safety factor, the reliability evaluation of multi-stage gear drive is not included. In this paper, the life and reliability models of multi-stage gear drive are proposed using methods of probability and statistics. The life and reliability of the multi-stage gear drive have been evaluated, which is based on the life and reliability of each stage gear drive. The pinion and gear lives of each stage are calculated using the Lundberg-Palmgren theory and the Weibull failure distribution. These lives are combined using methods of probability and statistics to produce a life and reliability model of multi-stage gear drive.

  • In this paper, we propose the AI certification standardization activities for systematic research and planning for the standardization of trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI). The activities will be in two-fold. In the stage 1, we investigate the scope and possibility of standardization through AI reliability technology research targeting international standards organizations. And we establish the AI reliability technology standard and AI reliability verification for the feasibility of the AI reliability technology/certification standards. In the stage 2, based on the standard technical specifications established in the previous stage, we establish AI reliability certification program for verification of products, systems and services. Along with the establishment of the AI reliability certification system, a global InterOp (Interoperability test) event, an AI reliability certification international standard meetings and seminars are to be held for the spread of AI reliability certification. Finally, TAIPP (Trustworthy AI Partnership Project) will be established through the participation of relevant standards organizations and industries to overall maintain and develop standards and certification programs to ensure the governance of AI reliability certification standards.

신뢰도 예측 기반 신뢰도 성장 관리 : 감시체계 사례 (Reliability Prediction Based Reliability Growth Management : Case Study of Surveillance System)

  • Purpose: In this study, a reliability prediction based reliability growth management is suggested especially for the early development phase of a system and the case study of surveillance system is given. Methods: The proposed reliability prediction based reliability growth management procedures consists of 7 Steps. In Step 1, the stages for reliability growth management are classified according to the major design changes. From Step 2 to Step 5, system reliability is predicted based on reliability structures and the predicted reliabilities of subsystems (Level 2) and modules (Level 3). At each stage, by comparing the predicted system reliability with that of the previous stage, the reliability growth of the system is checked in Step 6. In Step 7, when the predicted value of sustem reliability does not satisfy the reliability goal, some design alternatives are considered and suggested to improve the system reliability. Results: The proposed reliability prediction based reliability growth management can be an efficient alternative for managing reliability growth of a system in its early development phase. The case study shows that it is applicable to weapon system such as a surveillance system. Conclusion: In this study, the procedures for a reliability prediction based reliability growth management are proposed to satisfy the reliability goal of the system efficiently. And it is expected that the use of the proposed procedures would reduce, in the test and evaluation phase, the number of corrective actions and its cost as well.

  • 본 논문은 KSLV-I 상단부에 대한 고장모드 분석 결과와 시스템 수준의 비행시험 신뢰도 모델을 기술한다. 먼저, KSLV-I 상단부의 14개의 주요 기능과 비행시험 임무 프로파일을 분석하고, 기능 분석 결과와 임무 구간별 수행 기능 목록을 바탕으로 시스템 체계에 따른 상단부의 고장모드 계층 구조와 시스템 수준의 비행시험 신뢰도 모델을 구성한다.

Hierarchical Multiplexing Interconnection Structure for Fault-Tolerant Reconfigurable Chip Multiprocessor

  • Stage-level reconfigurable chip multiprocessor (CMP) aims to achieve highly reliable and fault tolerant computing by using interwoven pipeline stages and on-chip interconnect for communicating with each other. The existing crossbar-switch based stage-level reconfigurable CMPs offer high reliability at the cost of significant area/power overheads. These overheads make realizing large CMPs prohibitive due to the area and power consumed by heavy interconnection networks. On other hand, area/power-efficient architectures offer less reliability and inefficient stage-level resource utilization. In this paper, I propose a hierarchical multiplexing interconnection structure in lieu of crossbar interconnect to design area/power-efficient stage-level reconfigurable CMP. The proposed approach is able to keep the reliability offered by the crossbar-switch while reducing the area and power overheads. Experimental results show that the proposed approach reduces area by up to 21% and power by up to 32% when compared with the crossbar-switch based interconnection network.

신뢰도 예측을 위한 수명시험 시뮬레이션 (Life Testing Simulation for Reliability Prediction)

  • This paper presents a spreadsheet-based reliability prediction simulation framework for the conceptual product design stage to acquire system reliability information in timely manner. During early stage, reliability performance deals with both known and unknown failure rates and component-level and subsystem-level failure estimate to predict system reliability. A technique for performing life testing simulation using Excel spreadsheet has been developed under the such circumstances. This paper also discuss the results obtainable from this method such as reliability estimate, mean and variance of failures and confidence intervals. The resultant of this reliability prediction system is mainly benefitting small and medium-sized enterprise's field engineers.

  • System reliability prediction in the development stage is increasingly crucial to reliability growth management to satisfy its target reliability, since modern system usually takes a form of complex composition and various complicated functions. In most cases of development stage, however, the information available for system reliability prediction is very limited, making it difficult to predict system reliability more precisely as in the production and operating stages. In this study, a system reliability prediction process is considered when the reliability-related information such as SIL (Safety Integrity Level) and MTTFd (Mean Time to Dangerous Failure) is available in the development stage. It is suggested that when the SIL or MTTFd of a system component is known and the field operational data of similar system is given, the reliability prediction could be performed using the scaling factor for the SIL or MTTFd value of the component based on the similar system's field operational data analysis. Predicting a system reliability is then adjusted with the conversion factor reflecting the temperature condition of the environment in which the system actually operates. Finally, the case of applying the proposed system reliability prediction process to a high performance mooring platform is dealt with.

A Methodology of Open BIM-based Quantity take-off for Schematic Estimation of the Frame Work in Early Design Stage

  • Recently AEC industry has required construction automation according to becoming large and complex. Thus BIM-based construction project is increased and used in whole fields of AEC industry. Quantity take-off and estimation fields are important factor for decision-making in conceptual and schematic design stages of construction projects. The purpose of this study improves reliability of the estimation through QTO based on Open BIM. Scope and method to apply QTO is to select conceptual design stage through LoD(Level of Detail) in AEC field and to extract information from BIM model through analysis of IFC structure. This study proceeds three step to make BIM model and check the model quality and calculate QTO. The methodology of QTO using IFC is to verify of result in this study and expects utilizing in design stage of construction projects. The result from this study is expected to decrease the risk factor and time of estimation in the project early phase through improving reliability of schematic estimation.

의료인을 위한 구강점막욕창 시각적 감별도구의 신뢰도 (Reliability of the Visual Discrimination Scale on Oral Mucosa Pressure Ulcer for Healthcare Providers)

  • 본 연구는 구강점막욕창의 시각적 감별도구에 대한 신뢰성을 평가하기 위한 연구이다. 연구의 절차는 개발단계와 평가단계로, 개발단계에서는 자료수집, 자문단의 타당도와 신뢰도 평가, 최종도구개발이 수행되었으며, 평가단계에서 대상자들에게 9장의 사진도구를 평가하게 하였다. 세 군에서 측정자 간 신뢰도를 구한 결과, 상처 전문간호사군에서는 Krippendorff's alpha 가 .75이었고, 중환자 전문간호사군에서는 .70이었다. 치과의사군에서의 Cohen's weighted kappa값은 .78 로 나타났다. 측정자 내 신뢰도를 살펴본 결과, 중환자실 일반간호사군들의 intra-rater reliability는 .73으로 나타났다. 신뢰도가 입증된 9장의 사진은 실제 중환자실과 같은 구강점막욕창 위험을 가진 환자를 돌보는 임상환경에서 교육용으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
