  • In this study magnetic properties of anisotropic ferrite bonded magnets produced by extrusion molding with a variety of magnetic field, extrusion mold temperature and extrusion rate were investigated. X-ray diffraction study showed the alignment of magnetic powder was decreased by molten flow in extrusion mold. When the temperature of extrusion mold was $20^{\circ}C$, the degree of alignment as much as 82% could be achieved under the applied magnetic field of 4 kOe. The bonded magnets having the remanence of 2.2 kG was able to fabricated by extrusion molding when the packing density of Sr-ferrite powder was 50 vol%.

  • Ba-ferrite and Sr-ferrite are mostly used for permanent magnetic materials. In this work, we investigated Pb-ferrite which is studying now at abroad. We studied the most appropriate mole percent of PbO to Fe$_{2}$O$_{3}$, calcinating temperature and time, sintering temperature and time, and further investigated effects of the annex(NaBiO$_{3}$) The method of appraisment is the microscope for meta and B-H curve by flaxmeter.

  • This experiment was carried out to examine the effects of morphology on properties of La-Co substituted SrM ferrite. The magnetic properties of calcined and sintered materials were varried with the substitutional amount of La and Co elements in Sr-ferrite. In the substituted SrM ferrite, the atomic fraction x of La is directly related to the mole ratio n of iron oxide and the atomic fraction y of Co by equation x=2ny. The Hcj values of the calcined powder were about 270 kA/m and 240 kA/m with x=0.3 and x=0.2, respectively at stoichiometry, n=6.0. Crystallites of the sintered material were grown with a plate shape, and their size decreased with increasing mole ratios. Such a shape was caused by the initial state of crystallite formed after calcination. In case of x=0.3 and n=6.0, Br was 415 mT and Hcj was 355 kA/m, and in x=0.2 and n=6.0, Br was 410 mT and Hcj was 370 kA/m. The squareness in 2nd quarter of BH curve with x=0.2 was smoothly improved to compared with x=0.3.

  • This paper is studies the addition effects of $La_2O_3$ on the magnetic properties of Sr ferrite. Compositions were chosen according to the formula $[SrO{\cdot}nFe_2O_3]_{100-x}(La_2O_3)_x$. where n was varied between 5.8~6.1 and x between 0~3. The composition of the best value $(BH)_{max}$=1.48MGOe was n=6(stoichiometric composition) and x=2 at $La_2O_3$ addition. This value was higher than that of ordinary isotropic strontium ferrite.

  • An experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of $Na_{2}O$ additive on the magnetic and physical properties of $SrZn_{2}-W$ type hexagonal ferrite. The specimens were prepared by the conventional manufacturing methods without atmosphere control. It was found that the magnetic properties of SrO.2ZnO.$8Fe_{2}O_{3}$ are considerably improved on adding 1.5wt% $Na_{2}O$. Theoptimum condition of making magnet with suitable properties are as follows : chemical analysis composition : $Sr^{2+}_{0.852}Zn^{2+}_{1.721}Na^{+}_{0.301}Fe^{2+}_{0.723}Fe^{3+}_{15.703}O_{27}$ ; semisintering condition : $1300^{\circ}C\;{\times}\;1h$ in air ; sintering condition : $1250^{\circ}C\;{\times}\;0.5h\;T_{c}=371^{\circ}C,\;H_{A}=1091.5kA/m,\;K_{A}=2.13{\times}10^{5}J/m^{3}\;and\;n_{B}=31.8\mu\textrm{B}$.

  • Sr substituted materials for some barium in M-type barium ferrite powder and Co-Ti substituted Sr-Ba hexagonal ferrite powder were prepared by citrate sol-gel method and 2 MOE sol-gel method these hexaferrite particles were reduced for 1hr in the hydrogen gas. The reduction temperatures were varied in the range of 250 $^{\circ}C$ to 500 $^{\circ}C$. X-ray diffraction patterns were measured using diffractometer with Cu $K_{\Alhpa}$ radiation. Mossbauer absorption spectra were measured with a constant acceleration spectrometer. We have focused on studying the origin of increasing $M_s$ by M$\"{o}$ssbauer spectroscopy. Ferrite particles which were sintered at 105$0^{\circ}C$ were found to be typical magnetoplumbite structure and single phase. XRD patterns with varying the reduction temperatures in $Sr_{0.5}Ba_{0.5}Fe_{10}O_{19}$ indicates ferrites particles become composite hexaferrites containing $\alpha$-Fe at T_{red}=350 \;$^{\circ}C$$. On the otherhand, it was found that $Co^{2+}$ ions and $Ti^{4+}$ ions in $Sr_{0.7}Ba_{0.3}Fe_{10}CoTiO_{19}$ prevent from changing $Fe^{3+}$ ions to $\alpha$-Fe during the $H_2$ reduction. Comparing Mossbauer results with XRD results, we have determined most of $\alpha$-Fe are reduced from $4f_{vi}$ sites and 12k sites of $Fe^{3+}$ ions. These $\alpha$-Fe phase bring the induced anisotropy and increase saturation magnetization $M_s$.TEX>.
