고속 전환특성을 가진 자동부하전환 개폐기의 구동메커니즘의 동적 해석 (Dynamic Analysis of Driving Mechanism for ALTS with High-Speed Transfer Characteristics)

  • The automatic load transfer switch (ALTS) typically automatically transfers electrical loads from a normal electrical power source to an emergency electrical power source upon reduction or loss of normal power source voltage. It can also automatically re-transfer the load to the normal power source when the normal voltage has been restored within acceptable limits. The transfer operation of ALTS is accomplished by a spring-driven linkage mechanism. In this paper we build a dynamic model of driving mechanism for ALTS using ADAMS and checked the characteristics of the transfer operation. Finally we performed a detailed design of the driving mechanism through results of analysis and confirmed it to satisfy design requirements.

마찰시험기의 하중부과 방법과 수직방향 강성 변화에 따른 미끄럼 마찰특성 평가 (Evaluation of the Sliding Frictional Characteristics at the Different Loading Mechanisms and Normal Stiffness)

  • Frictional characteristics with the change of loading method and normal stiffness at dry sliding surfaces were experimentally and theoretically evaluated in this study. For the study, a ball-on-disk typed test rig was built and implemented, which allowed a proper selection of loading mechanism and normal stiffness of the test rig. Loading method were varied from dead weight to pneumatic cylinder and spring loading, and the normal stiffness was varied by a spring of different stiffness. Test results showed that frictional characteristics at various loading methods were different even though the operating variables were the same. Discrepancy in the frictional characteristics, such as coefficient of friction and fluctuation in the normal load, were explained by the change in dynamic parameters of the test rigs. Results also showed that coefficient of friction, which defines as a ratio of frictional force divided a normal load, could be differently evaluated in the calculation when fluctuation in the normal load was significant.

  • In Korea, fruit grading has been mainly done manually, and manual grading depends on human sense. Thus it is subjected to human error and is not always as consistent as would be desired. Therefore, a study on the development of fruit grader was initiated to improve the consistency of fruit grading. The sensitivity for fruit weight of the conventional spring type weight grader has a tendency to decrease by physical characteristics of spring which is used as a weight sensing unit. This study was carried out to develop weight measuring device for establishing the base of weight sensing unit of electronic weight grader. This device consists of a weight sensor using load cell, data acquisition system, and a microcomputer containing program to calculate fruit weight. The weight measuring device using load cell was developed to increase sensitivity of fruit weight. The result of this study showed that the weight sensing unit of electronic weight grader contributed to the improvement of performance of weight measuring device.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate free vibrations and critical loads of the uniform Beck's columns with a tip spring, carrying a tip mass. The ordinary differential equation governing free vibrations of such Beck's column subjected to a follower force is derived based on the Bernoulli-Euler beam theory. Both the divergence and flutter critical loads are calculated from the load-frequency curves that are obtained by solving the differential equation numerically. The critical loads are presented in the figures as functions of various non-dimensional system parameters such as the mass moment of inertia and spring parameter.

스프링과 방진고무가 융합된 제진장치의 하중-변위 관계 (Load-Displacement Relationship of Passive Vibration Units Composed with a Spring and Vibration-Proof Rubbers)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 천장구조재의 내진성능향상을 위해 개발된 제진장치(seismic damping·isolation unit, 이하 SDI 유닛)의 압축 및 인장하중상태의 하중-변위 관계를 평가하고 축하중 설계를 위한 기초자료를 구축하는데에 있다. 주요변수는 스프링의 유무, 방진고무의 적층수와 스프링과 방진고무의 결합을 위해 설치된 볼트의 프리스트레스력의 크기 그리고 재하방법이다. 실험결과 볼트의 프리스트레스력의 크기가 클수록, 반복하중 보다는 단조하중에서, 그리고 스프링이 있는 SDI 유닛은 하중-변위관계에서 탄성한계점까지의 강성증가 뿐만 아니라 최대 하중 이후의 연성거동에 유리하였다. 결과적으로 에너지 소산능력은 스프링이 있으면서, 3층의 방진고무 및 볼트 항복강도의 10%의 프리스트레스력을 갖는 SDI 유닛에서 가장 높았다. 개발된 SDI 유닛의 인장내력에 대해 JIS B 2704-1(2018) 및 KDS 31 00(2019)의 기준은 단조상태에서는 안전측에서 평가된 반면, 반복하중상태에서 약 10% 높게 평가되었다.

지반 변형 대응 부재를 적용한 말뚝의 부마찰력 저감 성능의 실험적 검증 (Experimental Assessment of Reduction in the Negative Skin Friction Using a Pile with a Member Responding to Ground Deformation)

  • 극한 및 극서지에서는 환경적 요인으로 인하여 지반 침하가 발생할 수 있다. 지반의 침하는 부주면 마찰력을 발생시켜 선단 하중을 증가시켜 말뚝의 안정성을 저해할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 지반 침하 시 부주면 마찰력에 의해 소폭 압축되는 지반 변형 대응 부재가 삽입되어 부주면 마찰력을 저감시키는 말뚝을 제안하였다. 지반 변형 대응 부재로는 스프링 및 스프링-대시팟 부재가 고려되었다. 제안된 말뚝의 성능을 검증하기 위해 모형 실험을 통해 지반 침하 시 일반 말뚝과 지반 변형 대응 부재가 적용된 말뚝의 선단 하중, 주면 마찰력, 횡 토압을 측정하고 분석하였다. 실험 결과, 스프링 부재 말뚝은 침하량이 작은 경우에는 스프링의 압축에 의해 상대변위가 줄어들며 부주면 마찰력이 감소하였다. 그러나 지반이 지속적으로 침하함에 따라 스프링이 더 이상 압축되지 않는 시점부터는 하중 전달 기전이 일반 말뚝과 유사해졌다. 스프링-대시팟 부재 말뚝의 경우, 대시팟이 스프링으로의 하중 전달을 지연시키고 하중 제하 곡선상에 주면 마찰력을 위치시키므로 지반 침하로 인한 부주면 마찰력이 지속적으로 감소하였다.

단분절 척추경 나사못의 피로수명과 Pre-Load의 영향 (The effect of pre-load and fatigue life for one-level pedicle screw system)

  • The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of pre-load and fatigue life of the distracted one-level pedicle screw system. A spring, which acted as a substitute of the ligament, was installed in the one-level pedicle screw system before testing. The static and fatigue properties are now being tested, which includes 6mm rod to 6mm screw, 6mm rod to 6.5mm screw and 6.35mm rod to 6.5mm screw, under pre-load. Until now as test data were analyzed, 6mm rod to 6.5mm screw was found to have the best performances of stillness and fatigue lift, while 6mm rod to 6mm screw showed the shortest fatigue life. If the stiffness of screw was bigger than that of rod. the fatigue life was prolonged. The fatigue life of the distracted pedicle screw was proved to be shorter than that of the one-level pedicle screw system. So the fatigue life was shortened because of the effect of the spring on the flexibility and stiffness of the rod. In order to obtain the stability of the pedicle screw, more tests are under doing on this topic.

일반체결구/활동체결구 접속구간 차량 및 궤도 안정성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Stability Assessment of Vehicle and Track on Transition between Conventional and Zero-Longitudinal Resistance Rail Fastener)

  • In this paper, assessed are the stability of vehicle and track according to vertical support stiffness difference on the transition between conventional and zero-longitudinal resistance (ZLR) rail fastener on bridge. For this, the spring constants of rail fastener have been determined according to different load ranges - KTX load (with or without impact factor) and test load of EN standards - from results of laboratory test on rail pad, the stability analysis of vehicle and track has been performed according to numbers or installation length of ZLR fasteners using vertical vehicle-track coupled model to consider train-track interaction. The analysis results reveal that only the wheel load variation slightly exceed the limit value when 2 ZLR fasteners are used with spring constant determined within the EN test load range, but, in all other cases, all evaluation items are satisfied. Thus, it can be said that the stability of vehicle and track will not be degraded by ZLR fastener.

  • In order to provide basic references for the design of heating on simple silkworm rearing house, the actual change of heating load coefficient by progress of adult silkworm rearing day from the reared in silkworm rearing house, the heating load coefficient by types of silkworm rearing houses and the heating requirement and the maximum heating load by types of silkworm rearing houses were determined. The results obtained from the study were as follows : 1. The average heating load coefficients of NS, OS and CC type simple silkworm rearing houses were $24.1KJ/m^2-hr-^{\circ}C$, $19.8KJ/m^2-hr-^{\circ}C$, and $10.8KJ/m^2-hr-^{\circ}C$, respectively. 2. The change of heating load coefficient by progress of silkworm rearing day after reared into simple silkworm rearing house could be expressed as Fig. 4. 3. Heating degree-hour for adult silkworm rearing in Suweon district was calculated as $951.6^{\circ}C-hr$ for spring season and $610.5^{\circ}C-hr$ for autumn season. 4. Yearly heating requirement of the NS type was estimated twice more than that of the CC type. Thus, some kinds of reinforced thermal adiabatic facilities is desirable for NS type. 5. The time for maximum heating load was turned out at the 4th instar during the spring season and after the mounting during the autumn season. 6. This study was performed in Suweon district. However, the estimated and analyzed data could be adapted to the major silkworm rearing district if their meteorology data were adjusted.
