Lead-Frame 에칭공정에서 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용한 에칭특성 예측 (The Prediction of Etching Characteristics Using Monte-Carlo Simulation in Etching Process of Lead-Frame)

  • The objective of this work is to simulate the etching characteristics for the optimization on the etching process of Lead-Frame. The etching characteristics such as etching factor, etching uniformity were investigated under different the actual operating conditions. The correlation between the etching characteristics and the spray ones were analyzed to simulate the etching characteristics in the etching process. To improve the etching characteristics in the etching process, effects of the various operating conditions such as pressure, distance from nozzle tip, pipe pitch, and feed speed should be understood in detail. The spray characteristics obtained by experiment using PDA system were simulated by the Monte-Carlo simulation. The etching process model was coded by Java language. It was found that the spray characteristics were correlated with the etching ones and simulation results generally agreed well with the measured results of etching characteristics in the etching process of Lead-Frame. The optimal operating parameters were successfully found under variable conditions.

비상발전기용 PM/NOX 저감장치의 유동특성 연구 (Flow Analysis of PM/NOX Reduction System for Emergency Generator)

  • Emergency generators normally use diesel engines. The generators need to conduct weekly no-load operation inspections to ensure stable performance at emergency situations. In particular, the generators with large diesel engines mainly use rectangle type filter substrates. In order to minimize hazardous emissions generated by generators, optimizing the reduction efficiency through CFD analysis of flow characteristics of PM/NOX reduction system is important. In this study, we analyzed internal flow by CFD, which is difficult to confirm by experimental method. The main factors in our numerical study are the changes of flow uniformity and back pressure. Therefore, changes in flow characteristics were studied according to urea injector locations, selective catalyst reduction (SCR) diffuser angle, and filter porosity.

카본나노튜브 스트레인 센서 제작 기술 (Fabrication of Carbon Nanotube Strain Sensors)

  • In this study, the strain sensing characteristics of single-wall carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs) networks were investigated to develop a film sensor for strain sensing. The SWCNTs film are formed on flexible substrates of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) using spray process. In this manner we could control the transparency and obtain excellent uniformity of the networked SWCNT film. The carbon nanotube film is isotropic due to randomly oriented bundles of SWCNTs. Using experimental results it is shown that there is a nearly linear change in resistance across the film when it is subjected to tensile stress. The results presented in this study indicate the potential of such films for high sensitive transparent strain sensors on macro scale.

  • Transparent conducting films were fabricated on polyethylene terephthalate substrate by a spray method using double-walled carbon nanotubes dispersed in organic solvent and water-based solution. We analyzed the films by absorption spectra, sheet resistance, and scanning electron microscopy. Transparent conducting films with high uniformity and high transparency were fabricated by the spray method. We found that the dispersion particularly nanodispersion of CNTs was of crucial importance to improve the film performance.

  • The chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) process combines the chemical effect of slurry with the mechanical effect of abrasive (slurry)-wafer-pads The slurry delivery system has a notable effect on polishing results, because the slurry distribution is changed by the supply method. Thus, the investigation of slurry pumps and nozzles with regard to the slurry delivery system becomes important. This paper investigated the effect of a centrifugal slurry pump on a spray nozzle system in terms of uniform slurry supply under a rotating copper (Cu) wafer, based on experimental results and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In conventional tools, the slurry is unevenly and discontinuously supplied to the pad, due to a pulsed flow caused by the peristaltic pump and distributed in a narrow area by the tube nozzle. Adopting the proposed slurry delivery system provides a higher uniformity and lowered shear stress than usual methods. Therefore, the newly developed slurry delivery system can improve the CMP performance.

과수방제기 살포입자의 도포율 분포특성 (Coverage Distribution of Blasted Droplets by an Orchard Sprayer)

  • Uniform application of agri-chemicals will improve orchard pest management. An air-blast(orchard) sprayer designed for vineyards has been used: however, few research on the uniformity and coverage of the sprays has been reported. Distributions of spray coverage were measured with artificial targets and analyzed to enhance the efficiency of spray application. A structure was built to place water sensitive papers, sampling spray droplets blasted from the orchard sprayer. The sampling cards were collected from five directions at three distances (2.5, 3.0 and 3.5m) for two fan speeds (2,075 and 3,031 rpm), and analyzed using an image analysis system. The distribution of the coverage percent area did not follow the wind velocity pattern. The coverage by the low fan speed was more uniform and higher than that by the higher fan speed. The coverage percent area decreased with an increase of distance. The distribution of droplet density was similar to that of coverage. However, the coverage contribution by smaller droplets became more significant as the distance increased. The upward blasting distance was limited within 3m, but the limit to the ground level was expanded the distance more than 3.5m because of the concentrated droplets.

드렌처 헤드의 형상에 따른 수막특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Effects of the Shape of a Drencher Head on the Characteristics of a Water Curtain)

  • 드렌처 헤드의 형상이 화재확산 차단을 위한 수막의 유동특성 및 복사 감쇠에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구가 수행되었다. 헤드의 형상인자로서 오리피스 출구와 반사판의 거리(h) 그리고 반사판의 직경(D)이 변화되었으며, 오리피스의 직경(d)은 고정되었다. 주요 결과로서, h의 증가는 방수량과 분사각의 증가를 가져오지만, D의 증가에 따라 분사각의 변화는 감소한다. D의 증가는 방수량 증가에 매우 작은 영향을 미치며, 분사각의 큰 감소를 초래한다. 또한 D의 증가는 보다 편평한 수막 패턴을 생성시킬 수 있지만, 분사각 내의 더 낮은 액적 균일도를 가져온다. 작동압력의 증가에 따라 평균 액적직경은 크게 감소하지만, 일정한 압력 조건 하에서 헤드 형상변화는 액적직경 변화에 큰 영향을 주지 않는다. 마지막으로 일정한 작동압력의 조건에서 드렌처 헤드의 복사 감쇠효과는 h 및 D의 변화에 따른 방수량과 액적 균일도에 의해 각각 영향을 받는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • 탄소나노튜브(CNT)는 원통형의 탄소나노 구조물로서, 뛰어난 전도특성과 열전도율을 갖는다. 이러한 특성을 이용한 다양한 응용 분야의 하나로 CNT 를 박막형태의 그물망으로 제작하여 전도성 필름으로 응용하는 방안이 연구되고 있다. 이러한 CNT 의 박막 제조 방법 중, 분무 코팅 방식은 대면적 박막 제조에 널리 사용되나, 박막 두께를 균일하게 제작하는 점에 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하려면 분무시의 공정조건이 증착 두께 분포에 미치는 효과를 잘 분석해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 분무 공정에서의 증착두께분포를 예측하기 위한 수치해석 모델을 개발하였다. 또한, 개발된 모델을 이용하여 여러가지 노즐 경로에 따른 증착 두께 분포를 분석하였다.

MWCNT thin film based supercapictor using spray deposition and gel electrolytes

  • In recent years, electrochemical supercapacitors have attracted much attention due to their high power density, long life cycles, and high efficiency. Some supercapacitors using CNTs have been reported, but there are several issues to be resolved for further development of CNT based supercapacitors. One issue is time consuming procedures to prepare CNT films, which may provide poor control of CNT uniformity over the large area of the substrates. Another is new electrolytes replacing the conventional liquid electrolytes in supercapacitors. In this work, We have successfully demonstrated that spray deposition method of multiwalled CNT films using gel electroytes could be promising for CNT-based supercapacitors on ITO substrates. Specific capacitances using gel electrolyte reached up to 1.5 F/g and 9 mF/$cm^2$, and internal resistance was 28 ${\Omega}$. Specific capacitances and internal resistance of supercapacitors with gel electrolyte were better than or comparable to those with liquid electrolytes($KNO_3$, $Na_2SO_4$), indicating that gel electrolytes could replace liquid counterparts in CNT-based supercapacitors. Combined with gel electrolyte, spray deposition method could provide low cost and easily scalable process for high performance supercapacitors using CNT films on ITO for applications in display devices.

TAB 테이프 제조를 위한 구리 도금 및 에칭에 관한 연구 (Cu Electroplating on Patterned Substrate and Etching Properties of Cu-Cr Film for Manufacturing TAB Tape)

  • Cu-Cr alloy thin film requires good quality of etching be used for TAB technology. The etched cross sec-tion was clean enough when the etching was performed in 0.1M $FeCl_3$ solution at $50^{\circ}C$. The etching rate was increased with the amount of $KMnO_4$. For enhanced profile of cross section and rate, the spray etchning was found to be superior compared to the immersion etching. A series of experiments were performed to improve the uniformity of the current distribution in electrodeposition onto the substrate with lithographic patterns. Copper was electrodeposited from quiescent-solution, paddle-agitated-solution, and air-bubbled-solution to in-vestigate the effect of the fluid flow. The thickness profile of the specimen measured by profilmetry has the non uniformity at feature scale in quiescent-solution, because of the longitudinal vortex roll caused by the natural convection. However, uniform thickness profile was achieved in paddle-agitated or air bubbled solu-tion.
