  • Purpose: Sports activities for life are an opportunity to fulfill the basic desire to be healthy and participate in society of the individual level, and it is also the realization of the trend of living together with persons without disabilities and persons with disabilities at the level of social inclusion. I try to propose to improve sports participation of persons with disabilities from the point of view of 'Universal Design.' Methods: Firstly, analysing of previous studies which to classify the barrier free certification standards to universal design's 7 principles and which to investigate public sports facilities. Secondly, reanalyzing, based on UD 7 principles, the raw data of the research results of public sports facilities in Seoul. Thirdly. then, I suggest the improvement plan to promote public sports facilities for all the people including persons with disabilities. Results: The results of this study are that although the facilities have the basic accessibility, there were some inconveniences in using the facility for the elderly and the disabled. So I suggest a few method to improve the public sports facilities from the perspective of universal design : 1) Needs to expand 'Bandabi Sports Center' as a sports facilities for sports activities for life of all of people, 2) Needs to improve accessibility of existing public sports facilities and to raise awareness for the persons with disabilities and universal design, 3) Needs to produce 'UD guidelines' for the sports facilities.

And they participated in non-living sports activities such as appreciation and movie appreciation. In addition, it was found that factors such as watching sports games mainly affect the lives of women, especially with less sports activities, and men are more active at 20 to 28 years of age than those aged 20. Conclusion: These findings suggest that it is necessary to provide various opportunities to encourage the physical activities of female students and young students of the university and actively participate in sports for all.

Finally, the authors suggest policies for life sport development on local level below. First, in order to the function of sport for all in social welfare system, it is needed to pursue institutional changes to secure diversity in the age group which participates in sports for all. Second, connectivity in public sports facilities should be fortified. The government should develop sports program in conjunction with public sports facilities built for the interest of community members. Third, club advisors should be educated with well organized-manual and reeducated to rebuild their capacity to develop the programs and manage them if necessary. In the similar view, the policy which can check the advisor's field experience and ability should be prepared. Fourth, for economic sustainability, a profit generating project developing a target marketing strategy is required.

For the purpose, this researcher made a questionnaire survey of 560 persons between July and December 2003 to know the trend and satisfaction of their leisure life in accordance with their gender. Results of the study can be summarized as below; First. the extent to which the surveyed persons participated in leisure life was highest in terms of other leisure activities, followed by self-development. viewing activities, sports activities and journey in order. The satisfaction of leisure life participation by those surveyed persons was scored 3 or over in average, meaning 'generally satisfied'. The time of leisure life participation was most spent in other leisure activities and self-development. Expenses of the participation were highest in terms of other leisure activities. followed by self-development and viewing activities in order. Second, differences in sub-areas of leisure life were analyzed in accordance with gender to show that the degree and time of participation in viewing activities and self-development, expenses of sports activity participation and the degree of participation in journey and others were significantly different between the opposite sexes which were surveyed here. Men were higher in the degree, time and expenses of the participation than women. • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate changes in upper extremity joints and leisure satisfaction in children with brain lesions through sports stacking activities. Methods: A sports stacking program was conducted on three children with brain lesions who had upper extremity joint limitations and joint range of motion lower than the normal range. It was conducted 10 times, 1 to 2 times a week, 40 minutes each time. Upper extremity joint angles were measured using a goniometer in the order of shoulder, elbow, wrist, and fingers, and leisure satisfaction was measured using a smile evaluation. Results: As a result of measuring the upper extremity joint angles, all three children showed slight angle changes in the shoulder, elbow, and wrist areas. Differences in joint angles appeared differently for each child. Smile evaluation results were evaluated in various psychological, educational, and physical aspects. Only child A was evaluated for Smile Evaluation No. 1. Conclusion: Sports stacking activities changed the upper extremity function of children with brain lesion disorders and showed differences in psychological, physical, and educational aspects of leisure satisfaction. As this is a short-term study result, the change in upper extremity function is minimal, but if sports stacking activities are continued, it will be a rehabilitation program that can prevent upper extremity dysfunction and improve physical strength. Accordingly, continuous attention should be paid to increasing accessibility and enjoyment of daily life according to individual characteristics and level.

  • Sport has no age limit and can be done anywhere and in any condition with minimal equipment. The existence of sports spaces in all parts of the world is considered a citizen's right. One of the activities carried out in this field is installing sports equipment and structures in parks and encouraging citizens to use this equipment for physical health with the least cost and facilities. Installing sports structures in open spaces such as parks is a practical step for developing citizens' sports. Although using devices in parks is acceptable, it is more critical to meet scientific and technical standards. The components of these structures must have high strength and endurance against changes in environmental conditions such as humidity, temperature difference, and corrosion. Among the various causes of material degradation, corrosion has always been one of several fundamental causes of metal equipment failure. Sports structures in open spaces are not safe from corrosion. Uniform corrosion is the most common type of corrosion. This corrosion usually occurs uniformly through a chemical or electrochemical reaction across the surface exposed to the corrosive environment. Rust and corrosion of outdoor sports structures are examples of this corrosion. For this reason, in this research, with the green synthesis of silica nanoparticles and its application in outdoor sports structures, the life span of these structures can be increased for the use of physical exercises as well as their quality.
