Statement of problem, and purpose: This study was performed to make good foundations for better development of mouth guards by surveying, analyzing and finding the understanding or opinions of athletes on mouth guards. Material and Methods: 617 sports players comprised the data base of the Survey, 230 contact sports, 387 non-contact sports. We surveyed and analyzed by asking following questions for athletes. 1. The sort of sports in which the player is majoring. 2. How long the players career is. 3. Whether the player has received prize or not. 4. The condition of stomatognathic system. 5. His or her eating habits. Results and conclusion: 1. Inconveniences should be minimized in wearing mouth guards. 2. The differential designs are thought to be needed for different sort of sports and for frequently affected regions 3. The changes in acknowledgment of athletes in mouth guards is necessary, that is mouth guard is very important & essential to prevent or minimize the traumatic damages. 4. Keeping in intimate and close contact with related athletic associations and putting athletes under the obligation to wear it for themselves, should be required.

This research sought to analyze the characteristics of breast movement at the treadmill activity levels. It also examined the effect of wearing a sports bra in reducing breast displacement. The subjects for the data collection were females in their 20s (n=2) with C-cup size breast. The experimental conditions were three different moving speeds (4 km/h, jogging: 7 km/h, and sprinting: 10 km/h) and two types of sports bras. Three dimensional breast displacement was measured. The displacement of the right nipple point was measured with a 3D motion analyzer. The results show that the breasts were greatly displaced from the walking speed (4 km/h) when subjects did not wear any bra. Whereas their breast displacement distance decreased remarkably when they wore sports bras. The nipple point moved 42~44 mm in the vertical direction at walking speed with naked condition. But it was reduced by 80% after wearing sports bras. When subjects running (7 km/h, 10 km/h) without any bra, the nipple point moved 122~141 mm. However it was reduced by 60~70% when they wore sports bras. The apartment time (time delay) between at the highest point of the upper body and the nipple was 0.25 seconds at the running speeds (7 km/h, 10 km/h) without wearing any bra. After wearing sports bras, the time delay was cut to 0.06~0.12 seconds. These results implies that without wearing any bra the skin surrounding the breasts might be seriously pulled at running activity. The functional sports bra suppress breast movement. It might prevent the sagging of breasts by preventing the damage of the Cooper's ligaments.

This study intended to develop a motorcycle safe vest that can be prepared against accidents by mounting a smart module (with built-in sensor) on the safe vest in order to emphasize safety among functional aspects of the motorcycle clothing. The research method investigated professional books, prior research, and Internet data to examine the characteristics of motorcycle wear and the theoretical examination of smart wear, and analyzed the functional characteristics of the design by reviewing smart jacket and vest design cases for motorcycles currently on the market. As a results of study an interface device sensor, which contains a sensor with IMU(Intertial Measurement Unit) and CPU(Central Processing Unit), was inserted into a motorcycle top in order to draw attention to the safety of motorcycle riders. The IMU sensor attached to the vest detected the tilting motion of the rider to either left or right side to obtain data on left or right direction, sudden stop, and so forth and displayed left or right turn signal and sudden stop sign on the backplate (back) through the LED module. As for charging the device to operate LEDs, a generator, which is designed to convert the heat energy in the exhaust into electric energy, was used to efficiently self-produce the power required to operate LEDs of the top while riding.

Four main factors, cling force, wicking force, water retention and water transport, affecting the clinginess of the sportswear fabric have been identified and measured by combining a new equipment and a statistical analysis. A classification model based on those factors has been developed in order to evaluate and standardize fabric wear comforts during heavy physical acting. Ten sportswear fabrics assumed different in their wear characteristics have been employed to investigate the relationship between the measurements and actual performance. It has been shown that the subjective evaluation ratings were well agreed with the measurement.

Nylon fabric is widely used in stocking, inner wear, sports wear, and casual wear, but has a defect of easy electric static charging. Accordingly there has been great demand for the hydrophillic finishing technology that could be applied to nylon fiber more easily and efficiently. In this study, ethoxylated hexylantinoanthraquinones were exhausted onto nylon from aqueous bath, and hydrophillicity of the nylon was discussed. In the treatment of nylon fabrics with ethoxylated hexylaminoanthraquinones, they were successfully exhausted onto nylon fabric without any aid of chemical auxiliary. The hydrophilicity of the dyed nylon fabrics were increased with the length of ethoxylate chain. The durability of antistatic and hydrophilic characteristics was good enough as to maintain the initial properties even after 30 repeated launderings.

This study was conducted on young children safety helmet to prevent risk of head injuries from external shock. Young children helmet shall be easy to wear and use comfortably. But the young children helmet market in domestic has imported dependently and widely variations in quality because the euro product of high priced and the east asia product of low priced are selling at the same time. Therefore, this study surveyed children under 13 years of age and Married people and studies their actual state of wearing. Furthermore, this study is going to propese the improving wearing of helmet and the major points of quality of helmet and the problem by comparing and reviewing regulations of domestic and foreign.

In the history of fashion, the category of knitted items was traditionally associated with ordinary clothing products like undergarments and socks. However, in a mere century Chanel has changed that idea by bringing into fashion consciousness items such as sports sweaters, jerseys, and suits, and so it has been necessary to upgrade this notion. As the needs of the times and new inventions have an inseparable relationship, knit fashion was also born with a close relationship with the zeitgeist of the time - the feminine movement, the rise of sports fashion and the world war - adapting itself up to the present time through continuous changes. Most brands are elevating knit from a mere decoration into a collection piece in a large number of collections every year. The number of brands that cannot exist without knit is increasing, such as Sonia Rykiel, Missoni, and so on. This essay is written with the purpose to study the birth, growth and future potential of knit items. The first stage concentrates on the age of knit's appearance (1910s-1930s). Contingent upon the collection of further data, this essay will be continued through the second stage (the 1960s - 1970s) and the third stage (after the 1980s).

This paper examined the garment formability and appearance of perspiration absorption, fast dry, and breathable fabrics. The mechanical properties and seam pucker properties of these fabrics were measured and regression analysis was conducted between fabric structural parameters and their mechanical and seam pucker properties. The superior total appearance value (TAV) of fast dry knitted fabrics for sports-wear was achieved in fabrics with high extensibility and bending rigidity; consequently, it increased with increasing stitch density and tightness factor. The formability of the fast dry knitted fabric also improved with an increasing stitch density and tightness factor. The seam pucker was influenced by bending rigidity and a good seam pucker was exhibited in the fast dry knitted fabrics with low stitch density and tightness factor. However, the formability (F) of the breathable fabric improved by increasing extensibility and bending rigidity that decreased with an increasing cover factor and the thickness of the breathable fabric. In addition, seam pucker deteriorated with an increasing cover factor and the thickness of the breathable fabric, which was similar to the results of the formability predicted in fabric mechanical properties. A superior seam pucker was achieved in fabrics with high extensibility and low bending rigidity.

본 연구는 골프웨어 브랜드 진정성과 브랜드 애착 및 충성도 간의 구조적인 모형을 검증하여 골프웨어의 브랜드 전략을 수립 할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 했다. 따라서 골프웨어를 구매했던 유경험자를 표본으로 선정했으며, 292부의 자료를 최종분석에 활용했다. 자료처리 방법은 빈도분석과 신뢰도의 내적일관성, 타당도의 확인적 요인분석, 상관분석, 그리고 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시했다. 프로그램은 SPSS(ver. 21.0)와 AMOS(ver. 20.0)를 활용했다. 연구결과 첫 번째로 골프웨어의 브랜드 진정성은 브랜드 애착에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 골프웨어의 브랜드 애착은 충성도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 골프웨어의 브랜드 진정성은 충성도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 골프웨어의 브랜드 진정성 및 충성도 간의 브랜드 애착은 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
