The effects of GI exercise and soybean milk supplement on body composition, blood lipid, Gonadotropins in middle-aged women (기체조와 두유섭취가 중년여성들의 신체조성, 혈청지질, 성선자극호르몬에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Gi exercises and soybean milk supplement on the body composition and the physiological parameters including blood level of lipids and related hormones in middle-aged women. The Gi exercise program was composed of warming-up(10 min), main exercise(40 min) and cooling-down(10 min). The 40 middle-aged women between 40 and 60 years old were divided into four groups; the control group(12 women), the Gi exercise group(14 women), the soybean milk supplement group(11 women), and the Gi exercise group with soybean milk supplement(14 women). The Gi exercise program was applied three times a week and two packs of the soybean milk per day were given. The result of this study was as follows 1. The control group showed the increase of body weight, percent body fat, and fat mass than other groups. 2. The blood level of T-C was increased in the control group and the Gi exercise group and exercise with supplemented group were decreased 3. The blood level of HDL-C was significantly decreased in the control group than other groups. 4. The blood level of LDL-C was significantly increased in the control group than other groups. 5. The level of TG were not significantly changed in all groups 6. The follicular stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) hormone levels were not significantly changed in all study groups

The Effect of Different Triathlon on Weight, Sodium and Hematological Changes (다른 거리의 철인 3종 경기 시 체중, 나트륨 및 혈액 성분에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined how differing triathlon durations effect weight, serum sodium concentration, and hematological levels, and investigated relationships between these variables and finishing time as well as between body weight changes and serum sodium following Ironman distance triathlons (IDT) and Olympic distance triathlons (ODT). All eight athletes successfully completed ODT and IOT. We found that the mean body weight decreased following both IDT and ODT and that serum sodium was significantly (p<0.05) increased immediately after IDT, RBC, Hb, Hct, and MCH were significantly (p<0.05) increased immediately after IDT. Hct was significantly (p<0.05) decreased immediately after ODT. MCHC was significantly (p<0.01) increased immediate1y after ODT. In IDT, the percentage of change in body weight correlated to the percentage of change in serum sodium concentrations (r=0.75, p=0.05). In conclusion, our srudy showed that serum sodium concentraion increased in IDT and maintained in ODT, despite significant body weight loss during the races. The percentage of change in body weight was related to serum sodium concentration but unrelated to performance in the triathlon. The changes of RBC, Hb, and Hct values from two different length triathlons were depending on race distance.

A Biomechanical Comparative Analysis between Single-Radius and Multi-Radius Total Knee Arthroplasty for Sit-to-Stand Movement (앉았다 일어나는 동작동안 단축회전반경 무릎인공관절 수술자와 다축회전반경 무릎인공관절 수술자의 운동역학적 비교분석)

  • Eight of the individuals had a unilateral S-RAD TKA and Multi-Radius TKA ($Scorpio^{TM}$ PS, Howmedica-Osteonics, Inc.). The instrument were used Peak Motion Measurement $System^{TM}$, $MYOPAC^{TM}$EMG System, KIN-COM $III^{TM}$ System. The Figure 3 shows that the average time for the S-RAD group to accomplish the sit-to-stand movement was 1.59 s, which was 0.19 s less than the M-RAD group (p= 0.033). In Figure 5, the S-RAD TKA group tended to have $7^{\Omega}{\cdot}S^{-1}$ less trunk flexion velocity than that of the M-RAD group (p= 0.058). The Figure 6 shows that the S-RAD TKA limb tended to have less ADD displacement (p = 0.071) than that of the M-RAD TKA limb. We failed to find significant differences for ABD and ADD displacements between the S-RAD and M-RAD N-TKA limbs (p= 0.128 and 0.457, respectively). The VM of the S-RAD TKA limb demonstrated significant less RMS EMG than that of the M-RAD TKA limb from $60^{\Omega}$ to $15^{\Omega}$ of knee flexion (p 0.05). The VL of the S-RAD TKA limb also demonstrated significant less RMS EMG than that of the M-RAD TKA limb from $60^{\Omega}$ to $45^{\Omega}$ of knee flexion (p 0.05). Similar to the VM and VL, the RF of the S-RAD TKA limb showed less RMS EMG than that of the M-RAD TKA limb from $60^{\Omega}$ to $30^{\Omega}$ of knee flexion (p 0.05).

  • The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the style, color, and items of '06-07 F/W women's street fashion in Dalian. The cultural, racial and geographical uniqueness, asks for the analysis, based on the individual local area on the part of Korean fashion company desiring to launch into China fashion market. I would contribute to the understanding the preference of fashion in northeastern area, thereby, affording a fundamental resources for designing strategies for Korean fashion brands in China. The period of investigation is about 15 weeks from 23 Sep. 2006 until 6 Jan. 2007, with combined use of camcorder and digital camera. The site was Victory Shopping Plaza, in center of City, also with Mycal, Ansung, Dasang department store situated in the Economic Development Zone. Finally, 900 photos were selected for analysing. The result of this study are as follows: 1. Preferred clothing styles are jean casual 45.4%(409), sports casual 16.3%(147), character casual 8%(72), feminine 20.6%(185), Classic 9.7%(87). Compare to the former study about Spring, Sports casual showed dominant rate about 36.0% in casual style. In Winter, however, the preference were changed from sport casual to jean casual. 2. Preferred clothing items are parka/padding coat 32.3%(291), jumper 31%(279), T-shirts 16%(144) and jacket 7.5%(67) for tops, pants 91.8%(826) and skirts 8.2%(74) for bottoms. In the pants, straight pants 78.4%(648), bell bottom pants 10.9%(90), capri pants 7.4%(61), cargo pants 2.9%(24), bermuda pants 0.4%(3) were listed respectively. In the skirts, A-line skirt 51.3%(38), pleats skirt 25.7%(19), flare skirt 12.2%(9), semi-tight skirt 8.1%(6), tight skirt 2.7%(2) were listed. Finally the skirt length midi 75.7%(56), mini 18.9%(14) and maxi 5.4%(4) were listed. 3. Preferred colors are red 21.8%(196), white 21.6%(194), black 16.4%(148), yellow 10.0%(90), beige 9.3%(84), green 7.9(71) and blue 6.3%(57) for tops, and black 40.8%(367), blue 37.7%(339), gray 4.6%(41), white 4.3%(39) etc. for bottoms.

A Study on the Creation and Activation Program of Cultural Rural Village - Focused on the Case in Dae -San Village, Kimje-si, Chonbuk Province - (농촌문화마을 조성 및 활성화 방안연구(1) - 김제시 대산마을(현황분석 및 기본구상)을 중심으로 -)

  • Now in order to overcome the weakest points of the rural areas of the city of Kimje and, transform them into rural cultural villages which have local governing systems suitable to new localization age and activate this plan, we selected Daesan Village as a model village which had shown a lot of potentials in the basic research and studied it dividing it into the former part and the latter part. We studied Daesan village in the former part focusing on state analysis and basic ideas and in the latter part focusing on master plan and detail planning. We can summarize the conclusion like the followings. 1. Daesan Village located 8 kilometer away from the downtown Kimje and the city of Iksan respectably has comparatively good environment of good sunny place as an open field whose surrounding configuration of the ground consists of farming lands and low hills in front and rear. It has 38 farming households in all. 2. Human environment(인문환경); the village road whose width is about 4 meters is forming a flow system forking off into three. There is a route bus which operates three times a day even into the inside of the village. The main sources of revenue are vegetables in facilities, fruits and floriculture. Their average revenue is about 10.5 million won. 3. Here in DaeSan Village a legend dealing with Teasan literally meaning a big mountain consist of th village's tradition and you can see the tombs of a very faithful son and Anwi an army general in the age of the Japanese Invasion of Korea of 1592 to 1598 inside the village. 4. 85 out of the eitire population 141 whose age are over 20 showed very positive attitudes in a questionnaire about, making the village a cultural one and its development. 5. The basic of planned ideas is to increase the revenue of the farming household by making the village a professional farming one which has a state-of the-art production facility and agricultural technique. It is to make the village the one where people can enjoy the sense of the rural life and the farmer can enjoy their lives through consumptive and consistant leisure and resting activities. 6. We are planning to make entrance space, life space, rest and sport space, and cultural space considering the characteristics of the village and the demand of the resident. We are also planning to make tile entire city of Kimje an information transmitting base in short and long term perspectives. 7. DaeSan Village was planned as a place where tradition and the future exist together. On the basis of this concept we planned future programs for Daesan Village and in the latter part of the study master plans and detail plans will be continued.the regional agricultural condition. The development permissions were only during the period of restricted to use ($1979.12{\sim}1993.11$). We propose that the authority of development permission should be given to the local autonomy government, because the local government has the knowledge of its individual agricultural conditions.

Comparison of Surface and Air Temperature depending on Cover Materials in Playground (운동장의 피복 유형별 표면 및 대기온도 비교)

  • Playground is frequently used for physical and sports activity by students as well as by common people, which is constructed with various cover materials on the ground. This research surveyed the surface temperature in Kyungpook National University Sangju campus playground which is covered with various cover materials [bare field, zoysiagrass (Zoysia japonica) turf field, urethane track, concrete field, epoxy field and artificial turf field] in Sangju, Gyeongsangbukdo, Korea. Temperature was measured 4 times per day at 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, and 18:00 from May to October 2014 in surface and 1 m height above the ground. Surface temperature was different, depending on cover materials and survey time. Bare field and zoysiagrass turf field was lower surface temperature than other sites. Higher surface temperature site was different depending on survey time. Urethane track and artificial turf field was hotter than other sites at 12 and 15 hours, however concrete and epoxy field was hot at 18 hours. One meter above ground temperature was the highest in artificial turf field except at 18 hours. So natural turf, zoysiagrass playground will increase the athletic performance by reduce the surface and above ground temperature.

  • Lots of interdisciplinary studies for fusion of high technologes and the other areas of research had been tried in these days. In sports training area, high technologies like a vital sign sensor or an accelerometer were adopted as training tools to improve the performance of the sports players. The purpose of this study is finding the proper locations on the human body for attaching the motion sensors in order to develop a smart sportswear which could be helpful in training players. The rowing was selected as a subject sport as lots of movements of the joint on human body could be seen in rowing motions. The players of rowing could be devided into two weight divisions, the lightweight and the heavyweight. In this study, the change rates of distance between markers on human skin as the players moved were took on the back, the elbow, the hip and the knee area on human body by 3D motion capturing system. The distances between markers and the differences between the lightweight and heavyweight were analyzed. Finally, this study provided the guide lines for designing a motion sensing smart sportswear.

The effects of combined exercise training 12weeks on body composition and basic physical strength in obese college women (12주간 복합운동이 비만 여대생의 신체조성 및 기초체력 향상에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of 12-weeks of combined training on body composition and basic physical strength of obese female college students. The research object was composed of 12 obese female college students of D University, who learned the purpose of this research enough and wrote the consent form of voluntary participation, who have no medical history and currently no special disease, and no experience in regular exercise. They underwent body composition inspection, left right grasping power which is the basic physical strength, back muscle strength, flexibility, rapidity, muscle endurance, and the researcher performed descriptive statistics to calculate the average standard deviation, and analyzed to verify difference between groups by using paired t-test. With statistical significance level p<.05, the results are as follows. Obese female college students showed meaningful differences in weight, skeletal muscles, body fat volume and left right grasping power, back muscle strength, rapidity(p<.05) - flexibility and muscle endurance(p>.05).

The effects of emotional labor and job burnout of the ski resort workers on service level (스키리조트 종사자의 감정노동과 직무소진이 서비스 제공수준에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was empirically to reveal the effects of emotional labor and job burnout of the ski resort workers on service level. For the study, a survey of 215 people working in domestic ski resorts was conducted. Emotional labor was composed of two sub-factors: surface acting and deep acting. Service level was composed of three sub-factors: tangibles, responsiveness, endeavor. The following results were obtained by confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis. First, in emotional labor which ski resort worker perceived, surface acting had a positive effect on job burnout, while deep acting had a negative effect on it. Second, surface acting had a positive effect on tangibles and responsiveness of service level and deep acting had a positive effect on tangibles, responsiveness and endeavor of service level. Third, job burnout which ski resort worker perceived had a negative effect on tangibles, responsiveness and endeavor of service level. This study suggested that implications and limitations of the relationship between outcomes and emotional labor which people working at sport organizations such as a ski resort have experienced.

Effects of Different Type of Exercise on Blood Variables and Leptin Hormones in SD Rats (훈련방법의 차이가 흰쥐의 혈액성분과 랩틴농도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the different type of exercise training on the changes of blood variables and leptin in SD rats. For this study, SD rats were divided into three groups: control group (CG: n=10), swim trained group (SG: n=10), and treadmill trained group (TG: n=10). The animals were housed in a pathogen-free animal facility ($22-24^{\circ}C$, 50-60% relative humidity, 08:00-20:00 lighting hours) at D university animal center, Pusan, Korea). Food and water were available ad libitum. The trained rats underwent a 8-wk endurance swim training (5 times/wk) in water at $26-29^{\circ}C$ (SG) and treadmill training (5 times/wk) in DAEJONG treadmill for 60 min. All data were expressed as mean and standard deviation by using SPSS package program (ver 10.0). The result through the statistical analysis of this data were summarized as follows: 1. In the weight changes, there were significant differences among CG, SG and TG(p<.05) after regular swim and treadmill training. TG showed the lowest weight than the other groups. 2. In the epididymal & perirenal adipose tissue levels, there were significant differences among CG, SG and TG(p<.05) after regular swim and treadmill training. TG showed the lowest adipose tissue levels than the other groups. 3. In the triglyceride changes, For the SG and TG, there were significantly decreased after regular swim and treadmill training. TG showed the lowest triglyceride levels than the other groups. 4. In the insulin hormone, For the SG and TG, there were significantly decreased after regular swim and treadmill training. TG showed the lowest insulin levels than the other groups. 5. In the leptin changes, For the SG and TG, there were significantly decreased after regular swim and treadmill training. TG was the lowest than the other groups. Based on the results, Regular swim and treadmill training decrease body weight, epididymal & perirenal adipose tissue levels significantly, this is caused but by decreased triglycerides, insulin, and leptin hormone levels not by the other factors. Regular treadmill training decreased insulin hormone levels compare to swim training, however there was no direct insulin effect on the weight changes. and it might be the direct effect of leptin hormones.
